summary: a confession about your sex life makes it's way to the one person you'd hope wouldn't hear, and now he's determined to rectify the way you've been wronged
wc: 4.5k
_____________
you were a great asset to the bau. it was why you were personally recommended by emily to transfer out of sex crimes, the skill set you brought alongside the field training you had proved to be vital for the team’s success lately. you were also a great asset to the team. the bau was notorious for having people turnover fast, and you knew they were apprehensive with newcomers. but you managed to hit it off with every single member, one more than others.
spencer reid did not expect someone like you to join the team. not that he didn’t have faith in your talents and skills, he’s read your file and obviously knows you’re more than qualified to be here. he just did not expect someone who looked like you to join the team, someone who didn’t look beaten down by the horrors of the world and still believed in pots of gold at the end of rainbows.
it didn’t help that you were so beautiful he literally would feel his heart ache when you walked in. like literally, would have to rub his chest to soothe the pain. and as spencer would, he would logic out his feelings with science because that’s all they are, scientific chemical reactions in the body. but what he felt in your friendship, what he felt when he was lucky enough to be in your presence, was something no textbook, theorem, or equation could explain.
so imagine the size of the fucking hammer coming down on his head when he finds out you have a boyfriend who: 1. is not him, and 2. is an actual real life bozo.
apparently you’d been seeing damon from organized crime for about a month now, that’s what he heard from penelope, and you ‘claim’ to be super happy.
spencer doesn’t buy it.
he’s seen the way your ‘relationship’ operates, and he’s got the facts to back it up. damon never lets you get a word in when you’re in group settings, even purposefully talking over you when you’re clearly attempting to speak. majority of the time he’s condescending about your job as a profiler for the bau, saying that him and his team bring down drug rings, but you guys ‘just read their horoscope or whatever and decide the killer.’
it made spencer’s blood boil hotter than the sun. he couldn’t figure out why you put up with it, and why you continue to.
the final straw that broke the camel's back about his disapproval on your relationship choices, is what he overheard on the jet one time on the way back from a case.
the girls were talking in the back of the jet, unaware of spencer’s very awake mind despite his visibly sleeping body.
“i don’t know guys,” you had started with a sigh, “you think it’s weird right?”
“that your own boyfriend won’t go down on you? yeah hon, that’s fucking weird.” emily strikes.
“what did he say exactly?” jj asked.
“he said it increases the risk of STIs on the mouth? and doesn’t like the feeling of thighs crushing his head? and that even with all the … grooming … it’s still unnatural ?”
emily gagged while jj continued, “um…but do you like…on him?”
“yes! he literally won’t touch me unless i do!” you rage whisper.
“i am about to give him an organized crime to deal with,” emily half jokes, “what an asshole, why are you still with him?”
“i don’t know, he’s still nice to me i guess, and maybe i’m just being dramatic. or maybe i’m just not someone people go down on, who knows.” you sigh.
spencer stops listening, he can’t hear you talk so poorly of yourself. not when it’s so far from the truth yet you’ve been indoctrinated to think it’s accurate. how anyone could take advantage of you like that is beyond him, but it did light a fire inside of him and made him determined to help you realize you deserve so much better. if that happens to be him, then who is he to fight that?
spencer doesn’t get his chance to prove it to you for another two weeks, when you’d come over to his apartment for a movie night after getting in a fight with damon, your date night being canceled and leading you to spencer’s doorsteps, all dolled up with tears lining your eyes asking to come in.
he doesn’t even have time to be mad at your shithole boyfriend when he’s ushering you inside, offering you to sit on the couch while he goes and put a kettle on the stove for tea.
“i’m really sorry to just show up like this, spence.”
he doesn’t even blink before calling out from the kitchen, “don’t apologize, i’m always here for you. anytime and anywhere.”
you give him a soft smile before returning your gaze to the soft glow of doctor who.
he returns cradling two mugs in one hand and a pack of haribo gummies in the other. spencer doesn’t care for gummies, he’s more of a chocolate guy, but he knows it’s your favorite. so he makes sure to keep a couple bags in his apartment for you.
“my favorite!” you gush. his heart warms at your smile as he sits next to you on the couch. you naturally gravitate towards him to lean your head on his shoulder, and it’s automatic for spencer to wrap an arm around your shoulders to pull you closer.
the whirs and whooshes of the tardis fill the silence for the next hour as you visibly become calmer than when you first arrived. he decides this is a good time to ask, “do you want to talk about it?” as he turns his head to look at you.
“i don’t know,” you say quietly popping another gummy in, “i’m starting to believe it's just a me problem. like, maybe i’m just objectively not a great partner, and that’s why we keep getting in these fights. you know this time, he said i’m not worth all the effort and stress i bring him and that because of me he’s gonna bald at 29? i’m not a scientist like you or anything but even i know that, at least, can’t be my fault.” you end with a chuckle.
spencer knows he should probably comfort you in this time of honesty you’ve graced him with, squash your insecurities like a pesky bug on the windshield, and tell you how beautiful you are in as many words it’ll take for you to believe it (and he knows a lot of words).
but right now? he’s just fucking pissed.
not at you, never at you. at your situation, yes. at that sorry excuse of a partner let alone agent, immensely.
so he can’t help what escapes his mouth next, “why do you let yourself get treated like shit?”
you look up at him in surprise, at both the cursing and what he said, “what?”
“you’re constantly talking about how awful he treats you, and yet everyday you still go back to him knowing it’s going to repeat the next day. i just want to know why you don’t respect yourself enough to not let that happen to you.”
pulling away to sit far from him on the couch,  you start letting the annoyance show on your face, “spencer, that’s not fair at all. you think it’s my fault? do you really think i want to feel like this?”
“yes!” he shouts, “you seem like you do with how much you crawl back to him everytime, and everytime you let him back in.”
“okay, i think i should go,” you stand up and grab your things, “it was a mistake to come here, goodbye spencer.”
he grabs your wrist before you can get too far, “i just have to know, what is it?”
“what’s what spence, let me go.”
“what keeps you going back to him, it can’t be because you love him. it’s obviously not because you’re happy with him,” he lets out.
“you don’t know anything about me or my life, spencer!” you snatch away your arm and start heading towards the door.
“it’s definitely not because the sex is good, because i know it’s not.”
any emotion you had on your face wipes away like an etch a sketch, staring blankly at the door, hearing the man you’ve harbored a crush on since you started at the bureau years ago, telling you he knows your sex life is abysmal.
your voice comes out small, “h- how would you know that?” you don’t dare to turn around, knowing that if you did any resolve you held onto, any denial of emotions you’ve stripped from yourself would come pouring out like a broken dam.
the couch groans at a loss of weight, and the floorboards creak closer and closer to you.
“i heard you, on the jet.”
you’re especially glad he can’t see the blood draining from your face. if your heart already wasn’t at your feet, it’s most likely six feet under at this point.
he heard you?
“when you were talking with the others about how he doesn’t reciprocate, and won’t sleep with you unless you get him off.” he continues.
the room is getting hotter by the millisecond, temperature about to be comparable to the sun’s core. it’s one thing to have just anyone hear the intimate details of your life, but spencer? the man to which you’d been using damon to get over?
the only sound that can be heard is your increasingly heavy breathing, and spencer feels like he’s caught a fish on his line and is ready to reel you in as he inches closer to you.
“you’re okay with that? not being taken care of in the way you deserve?”
his presence is merely nanometers behind you, the ghost of his fingers looking for landing on your hips. when you don’t move away, and he hears your breath hitch at the contact, he sets his hands more earnestly on your curves as he leans down to the nape of your neck.
“just don’t know,” kiss, “how anyone,” kiss, “wouldn’t want,” kiss, “to give you everything.” kiss.
your head lolls back onto his firm chest as he whispers in your ear, “cat got your tongue, sweetheart? you were so mouthy not even five minutes ago. be honest with me, has he even ever made you come?”
the whimpers escape you without warning and you find a single decibel of voice to speak, “spencer…” hoping the whine would dissuade him to let it go.
“uh uh, i asked you a question,” his arm tightens around the front of your waist to press back and fully feel him, “answer me.”
your lexicon has depleted except for the one word you know he’s desperately waiting for you to say, and the one he knows is the answer. yet you know the second it leaves your mouth, everything changes. and maybe you’re okay with that.
“no.”
spencer hums lowly, “has anyone made you come?”
“no.” you say again, softer this time.
“should we change that?”
this was not what you expected when you came to see him after your failed night out. the amount of processing you’d done in the last year to essentially not be thinking about spencer 24/7 was extensive. and you were ready to render it all useless in a matter of seconds.
so you let the strap of your bag fall down your arm and hit the ground with a thud, and finally turned around to look the good doctor in his eyes. while his voice held traces of anger and frustration, you came to see his eyes were full of reassurance and comfort, the spence you always knew to prioritize your wellbeing more than anything.
he looked down at you and slid his hand to up to cup your jaw, and he hears the smallest murmur, so delicate yet so full of want leave your lips.
“yes.”
that was all spencer needed to catch your lips in a heated kiss, moving your body to the closest wall as he places a hand behind your head to protect you from the wall’s impact while the other pins your waist to the wall.
you move your arms to wrap around his neck and keep him pinned to you with no escape, like he’d ever want to. his lips detach from yours and make a descent towards your neck again, taking deliberate effort to locate the sensitive spots.
he finds one just behind your ear and spends time sucking and bruising up the spot, relishing in the soft whimpers leaving your mouth. while you’re lost in the sensation on your neck, you don’t notice spencer move one of his hands closer to the button of your pants, effortlessly (and impressively) opening it up.
detaching from your neck with a heavy pant, he moves back to lean against your forehead with his own and look you in the eyes to ask, “is this okay? we can stop if you want, i didn’t mean to be so forw-“
“please don’t stop.”
he searches your eyes for any conflict and finds none, considering it the okay to continue his downward descent. he returns his lips to the second home they’ve made on your lips and starts to push your pants down over the curve of your ass, leaving your panties on.
the flash of purple lace underwear glares at him when he glances down, and suddenly he remembers what got him in this position in the first place.
“were you wearing this for him?” he lets out condescendingly, “you really think he deserved to see you like this?”
spencer’s fingers brush against your front, leaving your heavy breaths hitting him in the face. you can’t think of anything to say. hell, you’re not even sure if you know any words right now. all you can offer is a pathetic moan, and spencer doesn’t think that’s enough.
“come on, don’t get all shy now. what were you expecting him to even do, hm? thought you said he didn’t care about making you feel good.” he taunts as his middle finger traces the outlines of your cunt through your panties.
you shudder at the contact, leaning your head back against the wall as he refuses to break eye contact. he’s waiting for you to say something, raising his eyebrows expectantly as he’s slowed down his movements on you. taking a shallow breath you open your mouth, “h-, he didn’t care, just thought if i ke-, kept looking nice he’d wanna, fuck, do something.” you moan out.
“and did he?” he moved his hand back up to slowly slip into your panties.
his finger dips all the way down to your entrance to gather your wetness and spread it all the way back up to your clit, your mouth dropping open as you let out a whiny, “no.”
“what a shame.” he dips a finger into your hole and you let out a pornographic moan.
he drags his finger in and out slowly making sure to watch your face as it contorts in pleasure. once he feels you’ve gotten used to it he slips in a second finger, increasing the pace and moving his thumb to circle your clit again.
“oh fuck,” you cry.
“baby, you’re so tight.” he whispers. the way you clenched around his two digits made feel almost pussy drunk, and he wasn’t even inside you yet. he starts to wonder if damon was doing anything really to prioritize your pleasure, and it only just worked him up more. he felt more determined to bring you to finish, so he picks up the pace and increases the pressure on your clit.
you drop your head to his shoulder no longer being able to hold yourself up anymore, the sensation of his fingers on you taking over, loose whimpers and moans falling out of your mouth every other second.
“spencer…shit, i’m gonna come…”
“let go for me, baby.” he whispers in your ear.
the pleasure barrels through you like a wrecking ball, knocking the wind out of your mind and body. your legs turn into jelly and you almost fall before spencer holds you up. you try to regulate your breathing into his shoulder, hoping to calm down before you look up and meet his eyes again.
he makes that choice for you when he gingerly lifts your head up, his eyes silently asking if you’re okay. you don’t even bother responding before softly pressing your lips to his again, hoping he can feel your response to his silent question.
the kiss picks up in urgency, and soon his hands are back to exploring your body again. they slide down to the backs of your thighs while he murmurs a small, “jump.” and lifts you to wrap your legs around his waist. without breaking the kiss he walks you both to his bedroom and places you on his bed with care.
his fists flank you on both sides as he leans down to kiss you, and he moves further down kissing along your neck and chest. you reach down to the bottom of your top to pull it over your head, leaving you in the purple lacy bra that matches your panties.
he detaches from you and stands at full height, gazing at the sight of you spread out on his bed with your hair framing you like a halo. he can’t even help himself when he says, “you look so beautiful, angel.” the blush rises to your cheeks, and you beckon him to come back down to which he happily obliges.
spencer moves down further towards your hips, and his lips ghost over the lace band spreading along your waist. his fingers play with the fabric and he moves his face to be directly in line with your clothed cunt. your breathing gets heavy, and you anticipate what he’s about to do.
“wait, you don’t, you don’t have to do that, spence. i already came.” starting to feel a bit guilty at the man above you potentially feeling obligated to do this, as you realize that if he heard you on the jet, he heard about the one thing damon refused to do for you.
“sweetheart, i’d love to keep making you feel good as long as you let me, okay? you gonna let me make you feel good?” he breaths, pressing chaste kisses to your inner thighs.
you give a slight nod and he gently pulls your panties off your legs, marveling at the light glistening off your cunt. he kisses up the plush of your thighs before pausing right where you need him the most. you look down at him and meet his unwavering eyes full of love.
he places a long kiss to your core before licking a long stripe. you moan out languishly, the euphoric feeling taking over every sense in your body. you’re unable to comprehend how you went so long without feeling this, it almost feels criminal. and the way spencer was eating you out, felt like this was doing it for him too even though you were the one getting pleasured.
it turned you on even more to know he was getting off on how much you were enjoying this. your head was spinning off into another realm, and the only thing tethering you to this reality was the grip of your hands in his hair. his tongue made circles and shapes all over your cunt before dipping down to thrust into your hole.
your thighs shake and threaten to clamp shut on his head, and he uses his wide hands to wrap around your thighs to hold them in place. “oh my god fuck, that feels so good…spence…please..” you’re not even sure what you’re begging for, but of course, spencer does when he adds a finger into your hole and moves his tongue to focus back on your clit. the combined sensations were enough to tip you over the edge for the second time tonight, your release glistening on his chin as he moved back up to kiss your lips again.
your heavy panting tries to bring you back down from your high, a mix of sweat and the taste of you lingering everywhere.
spencer smooths your hair back as he moves his body to lie next to you, “i think, damon’s a fucking loser, if he doesn’t think that’s worth doing.” he says between pants.
you hum in agreement, or just in acknowledgement at whatever he said since you’re still reeling from the endorphin release. hiking your leg over his body to straddle him, you clumsily reach for his belt and attempt to undo the clasps to reach his growing member. you pull his pants down and palm him through his boxers, reveling in the broken moans falling from his mouth. you start inching downwards when spencer grabs you by the forearms and flips you over so you’re back on the bed staring up at him.
“not tonight, sweetheart. it’s about you right now, wanna make sure you know what you deserve.”
“but…” you pathetically respond.
“i don’t know what that neanderthal tells you, but sex is not transactional. i think if i ever see that guy again, i’d punch him for making you think otherwise.”
the words go straight to your core, turning you on even more. spencer takes note of how your pupils widen and your chin tilts up towards him.
“besides,” he presses his crotch to yours, “the sex wasn’t even that good with him, right?”
you moan out again, unable to find words to satisfy his question. he leans back up and off the bed to fully remove his boxers and you finally get a good look at what was underneath.
holy fuck, he was huge. you propped yourself on your forearms to get a better look at him, and watched as he lazily stroked himself while he sauntered back over to you. the image was so lewd, you hoped you could borrow some of his eidetic memory so you could hold on to this moment forever.
his face held a smug smirk at your awestruck one, and he felt his ego inflate even higher, “by the looks of your reaction, i’m guessing he’s never been much of a, challenge, for you in bed has he?”
you dumbly shake your head no, “definitely not as big as you.” you whisper, more to yourself than him.
his smirk grows wider, “don’t worry, baby, i’ll take real good care of you.” he says as he climbs over you to line himself up to your entrance.
you feel him slowly start to push in, the sensation of being split open growing bigger by the second. your brows furrow and your eyes are shut tight as you wait for the pressure to turn into pleasure.
if spencer thought you around his fingers had him pussydrunk, what he’s feeling now has to be close to pussy poisoning or something because he cannot think of anything in existence that feels as good as the walls of your cunt clenching around his cock. it’s taking everything in him to not break, to just fuck you senseless and reach his peak.
once his hips are flush with yours and he’s fully settled within you, he waits for you to give him the okay to move.
you, on the other hand, have never felt more full ever. damon was not nearly this big, nor has any other guy you’ve been with. it’s a bit of a miracle on how it fit inside you, and how it felt better than anything you could’ve imagined. the pressure and slight pain subsides, and with a slight nod spencer takes the cue to start moving.
the first thrust has you both moaning out in harmony together, and he sets the pace nice and slow so as to make sure you’re comfortable.
but it's not enough for you, you need him to fuck you.
“spence…harder.”
he stills at your word, leaning up so he’s perpendicular to you.
“whatever you say, princess.”
and he starts pounding into you, hips rutting at a pace you can’t even keep up with. the whimpers and moans gush out as the familiar coil begins to build within you. he taps your leg to lift it up over his shoulder to allow him deeper access, and he’s able to reach that one spot you’d heard about from all your friends, on reddit, in movies. you had no idea this type of feeling even existed, and spencer was hitting it with precision every single thrust over and over.
“fuck,” you whine.
“that feel good, baby?” he teases, “the way you’re squeezing my cock so tight, i doubt that fucker ever made you feel like this, huh?”
your tits bounce with every thrust, and the deepened angle has you reaching your climax fast. spencer feels it too and drops his head to whisper in your ear.
“i bet he’s never fucked you like this,” he continues his taunt, “he’d never be able to fuck you like i can, make you come three times in one night like i can.”
you whimper, “spencer,”
“say it, sweetheart. say no one’s ever fucked you like me.”
he was trying to kill you, death during intercourse would be a crazy way to go out but it’s a fate you’d be willing to accept. nonetheless, you comply.
“never ever, fuck, been fucked like you, baby.”
spencer has never felt more satisfied, “good girl, now come.” and with a final thrust he lets you reach your peak as he releases himself into you.
in the midst of groans he gingerly pulls out of you and you whimper at the loss.
the next few minutes are just filled with the sounds of yours and his heavy breathing, before spencer leans over to you, “was that too much?”
still in your daze you let out a soft giggle, “spencer, i think you’ve ruined all men for me.”
he smiles back, “i meant what i said, damon’s really stupid if he’s not willing to do all that for you.”
you intertwine your hand with his, “you know, i never really liked him anyway. i was just using him to get over you.”
“me?” he says incredulously.
you nod, “i didn’t know if you would’ve felt the same so i just tried to move on to someone else, stupid i know, but i don’t know it made sense then.”
he pulls you closer to rest in the crevice of his chest, “i have been into you since the day you walked into the bullpen, and letting you slip through my fingers is a mistake i will never make again.”
you hug him tightly before groaning out loud, “shit, i have to tell damon it’s over now don’t i.”
“i mean, i could tell him if you want.”
“spence, no. i think you might kill him.” you laugh, “i can do it, i just don’t want him to get all ‘organized crime’ on me.”
“just tell him i have a gun.”
“so does he?”
“mine’s bigger.” he smirks.
you roll your eyes, “well, yes.”

Wolf Bite
Klaus Mikaelson x Reader
Summary: During a fight between your friends and Klaus and his hybrids, you get bit. A certain someone appears later to help heal your wounds and complicate your feelings. Reader uses she/her pronouns.
Warnings: Violence, fluff
Word Count: 4850
Part 2
A/N: I have been obsessing over Klaus lately and thought I would share this passion with you guys. I haven’t seen TVD or TO in a while so I apologize if I get anything wrong about the lore. It doesn’t follow any canon plot, just inspired by Klaus healing Caroline’s bite.
Tumblr media
You’re leaning against a wall in the Salvatore brothers’ house as the rest of your friends talk about their newest plan to threaten Klaus and his family. The idea seems foolish to you, but you know better than to voice your opinion. Ever since the Mikaelson clan moved to town, being a vampire has gotten a lot more complicated. You’re suddenly not so immortal when there’s a whole group of people out to get you and your friends.
You’ve also started to notice a shift in the group as Elena now has feelings for both Salvatores. You’re well aware that your presence has slowly started to go unnoticed and yet here you are again. You watch as the group argues about how to lure Klaus and co. to the woods where you’ll meet him.
“What if we send someone to his house to deliver the message?” Elena suggests. But Stefan shakes his head.
“No, it’s too risky,” he says.
“Not if we send someone with a white oak stake for protection,” Caroline says.
“That would ruin the plan,” Bonnie says. There’s a silence as the group thinks of a new idea. Until Damon speaks.
“What if we get Y/N to call him?” Damon says, looking at you for the first time today. Your eyes widen as the rest of the group now looks at you. As if they weren’t just ignoring you.
“What? N-no way,” you say, not prepared to be put on the spot.
“Come on, he’s clearly shown an interest in you. Now’s the time to use that,” he argues. It’s true. Ever since you first met, Klaus seems to have taken a liking to you. But you think the group’s making it a bigger deal than it is. You think he just does it as a way to annoy the group. Though why he chose you instead of someone like Caroline or Bonnie, you’ll never know.
“I don’t want to do that,” you say, not wanting to explain exactly why. You’re not even quite sure yourself. “Besides, it probably won’t work. I mean, I don’t even have his phone number.”
“Oh right,” Damon says, furrowing his eyebrows as you throw a retch in his plan.
“You could deliver the message in person,” Caroline suggests. Your jaw almost drops.
“Wait, so it’s too risky if someone else goes to the house, but not me?”
“Come on, he won’t hurt you,” Damon says. You’re beginning to think being a wallflower was the better option.
“We all have to help, Y/N,” Elena says. You choke on your words as you look around, seeing no one objecting to this plan.
“Wait, you guys my message spell!” Bonnie exclaims. Everyone turns to her and you are relieved to be out of the spotlight as you lean back against the wall. “I need paper, something to write with, and something of Klaus’s.”
Though you are currently mad at all of them, you decide you’re mad at Bonnie the least so you open your bag. You’re able to scrounge up the materials, even something of Klaus’s (you didn’t ask). With the necessary ingredients, Bonnie performs her spell and the written note lights on fire before quickly disintegrating. She opens her eyes.
“That should do it,” she says.
“We should go,” Elena says and everyone agrees.
†††
The group is waiting in the woods for Klaus to appear, as is expressed in the letter. Another argument broke out on the way here as to who will get the white oak stake as you only brought one to threaten Klaus with. The group didn’t want to risk any of the other stakes. In the end, Damon won the argument as he reminded Stefan his responsibility was to look out for Elena, which she did not like. The rest of you are armed with regular stakes just in case anything happens.
“When is he going to get here?” Caroline says, though no one answers as no one knows. “I mean, how can he even find us? We’re in the middle of the woods!”
“He can probably track us by seeking out Elena’s blood,” Damon says which angers Elena. Sometimes you feel bad for her being the only human amongst the group (other than Matt), and other times you envy her for it.
When the group is about ready to give up, you hear something coming. The other vampires can hear it too and you ready yourselves. Soon enough, Klaus stands before you with a smile on his face. “Well, well, isn’t this a nice surprise? I hadn’t realized we were pen pals,” the Original says. His eyes rake over the group and he perks up when he spots you. “Hello love.”
The others glance at you and, panicked to be on the spot again, you say, “Uh, hi,” with a small and awkward wave.
This causes Klaus’ smile to grow wider and seemingly more genuine, and you try to suppress the urge to blush. Although you don’t think your friends were pleased by that interaction.
“I assume you know why you’re here,” Stefan says, bringing Klaus’ attention back to the group.
“Ah yes, the cryptic message,” Klaus says. “So, what is it that I must see? Truly, I’m dying to know.” You see Damon smirk.
“I wouldn’t act so cocky,” he says.
“Oh, and why’s that?” Klaus says with an entertained look on his face. His face changes, however, when Damon reveals the white oak stake. His cocky attitude shifts quickly to fear and anger. “Where did you get that?” he growls.
“Well it turns out when your sister burned down that bridge, she didn’t realize that other things were made from your precious oak tree,” Damon taunts. He’s exaggerating, of course, as there was only one other thing made from the tree. But Klaus still looks fearful.
“So what? You really think you can kill me with one stake?”
“We don’t intend to kill you. At least not now anyway,” Caroline says.
“We called you here as a threat. To tell you to leave Mystic Falls or else,” Stefan says with a calm smile on his face.
“Oh, and this isn’t the only stake. We wouldn’t risk bringing all of them with us just for you to break them,” Elena says.
“You’re bluffing,” Klaus sneers.
“Care to find out?” Damon asks. You can practically feel the steam of anger rolling off Klaus.
“How dare you threaten me,” Klaus says, his blue-green eyes turning a deadly shade of yellow.
“What are you going to do about it?” Damon says with a taunting smirk. Klaus’ face shifts and he smirks back.
“Why I’m so glad you asked,” he says. He then lets out a whistle and some of his hybrids emerge from the woods. You widen your gaze as you hold out your weapon, trying to assess the situation. The hybrids move in closer, and you can see the others preparing themselves. “Now, let’s try this again. Hand over the stake, and no one gets hurt.”
You thought the answer would be obvious. Sure, Klaus might be bluffing but you can’t kill that many hybrids. And what’s one lost stake anyway? However, you seemed to be the only one thinking that.
“No thanks,” Damon says. You look at him incredulously.
“I was hoping you’d say that,” Klaus says. As soon as Klaus advances, his hybrids pounce and the group is thrown into an attack. Your weapons will only slow the hybrids down, but your best hope is to get the upper hand and snap their necks to incapacitate them.
Damon and Klaus immediately face off. The rest of you prepare to face the small army of hybrids while Stefan protects Elena. One of the hybrids locks onto you and hisses before attacking you. You instantly try to hold the hybrid off and stab her, but you can feel her overpowering you in strength.
Still, you rely on your moves in combat to avoid any major injuries or worse, her bite. You manage to get the upper hand and stab her through the stomach, and while she’s slowed down, you move to behind her back and snap her neck, knocking her out for a good while.
You’re trying to catch your breath when you sense another hybrid coming at you too late. He pounces on you and you slam into the ground with him on top of you. You’re caught off guard and without your stake. When you try to move to fight back, the hybrid digs his teeth into your shoulder. A short scream rips through you, powered both by panic and pain.
Meanwhile, Klaus is fighting Damon when he hears the scream. He looks your way as he feared it was you, and the scene causes his eyes to widen. With a newfound urgency, Klaus faces Damon and quickly finds a way to snap his neck.
As you’re panicking from the bite, you feel the hybrid being pulled off of you and you see Klaus with a furious expression. The hybrid is very confused by his sire’s anger. You think you hear Klaus growl, “Not her,” before snapping their neck.
You’re shocked at what just happened all at once and remain on the ground, sitting up with wide eyes looking at Klaus. He looks away from the hybrid to meet your gaze and his eyes instantly soften. He looks concerned, though you’re not sure why. He makes a move to walk toward you but before you can say anything, Caroline rushes over to you.
She quickly puts herself between Klaus and you. “Stay away from her,” she hisses at him. Klaus’ expression shifts back to anger, and before you can explain to Caroline what’s going on, Klaus’s gaze flick from her to you and then he sprints away. Not just away from you, but he leaves the forest. The hybrids that haven’t been incapacitated follow.
You look after him, longing to talk to him and figure out why he saved you, when Caroline’s face comes into view. “Are you okay?” she asks while helping to pull you off the ground. You nod and you guess that’s enough for her because she walks towards the rest of the group.
You’re a bit stunned as Klaus seemed to show more compassion than your friend, but you merely shake off the exchange. From the woods, the group heads back to the Salvatore’s place. You trail behind them, your mind racing as you’re overly aware of the fact that a werewolf bit you. Not just a werewolf, but a hybrid. You haven’t told your friends about it because you don’t want to be a bother to them as that’s all you feel like you are these days.
On the way back, your mind wanders to the one person that seems to be on everyone’s minds these days. Klaus. You don’t know why he saved you, even from his own hybrid, but you want to thank him. You know you should hate him like the others do but for some reason every time that man looks at you, your stomach erupts into butterflies.
You feel awful for how you feel, you know all the harm he’s caused to your friends and not to mention the world, but you can’t help it. It doesn’t help that he pretends to be soft on you either. You haven’t told anyone about your feelings, whatever they are, for fear of persecution but you can’t stop thinking about him.
You arrive at the Salvatore’s and the group huddles in the living room for a quick debriefing of what just went down. All the while images of Klaus and your bite flash through your mind. You look at your shoulder and you can’t see the full damage as it’s covered by your shirt but you know it’s not good.
“How are you holding up, Damon?” Caroline asks teasingly. He glares at her and rolls his neck.
“Doing just great thanks,” he says.
“What the hell even happened?” Elena asks. “I mean, why did they just leave?”
“All I know is, one minute I’m holding my own against Klaus--” Damon says and to this you hold back rolling your eyes. Klaus must’ve been going easy on him, toying with him. “--and then he gets this raged look on his face and boom, lights out.”
“He went to Y/N,” Caroline says causing all of their eyes to stare at you again. You bite back your annoyance at her for bringing that on you.
“What happened?” Stefan asks while the rest of the group waits. The image of Klaus looking at you causes your face to heat up and you struggle to come up with a lie. You don’t want to tell them the truth when you yourself haven’t even gotten to the bottom of it.
“I-I don’t know,” you say. They still stare at you. “Maybe he was mad at me for harming his hybrids.”
“There were two knocked-out hybrids beside her,” Caroline adds. The group looks at you with a mix of shock and amazement.
“You knocked out two of them?” Damon asks with surprise and slight amusement. You don’t want to outwardly lie so you just kind of nod.
“And then he just left,” you say.
“It still doesn’t make sense. I mean, why target you specifically?” Bonnie asks.
“Maybe he’s miffed his lover betrayed him,” Damon says and your face turns beat red.
“W-What?! I am not his—” you burst out in surprise until someone cuts you off. No one even looks your way.
“Or maybe he’s planning something,” Elena suggests. The rest of them start diving into conspiracies but your mind is elsewhere. You suddenly feel drawn to look at your bite. The more you look at it, the more it’s like you can feel the venom pumping through your veins. Your heartbeat is suddenly too loud and you feel like you can’t breathe.
You don’t know if it has something to do with the venom or just your overall panic, but all of a sudden, the world goes black.
†††
Your eyes slowly open and your vision is blurry at first. Figures stand over you and after blinking a few times, you recognize your friends.
“She’s awake,” Elena says, as if everyone isn’t seeing it for themselves. You realize you’re lying on the Salvatore’s couch. You wonder how long you blacked out for.
“What the hell Y/N?!” Caroline instantly yells at you. You flinch at her volume but she doesn’t seem to notice. “Why didn’t you tell us you got bit?”
At the reminder, you look back at the bite only to see that its gotten worse. You wince at the sight of it and face the group. You guess they discovered it when you passed out.
“I don’t know, I-I thought I could handle it,” you say, not wanting to admit the real reason. Most of them roll their eyes at you.
“Of course you couldn’t handle it!” Damon says. “You should have told us.”
I didn’t know you cared. You bite your tongue to keep the words from spilling out of your mouth. “I’m sorry,” you say, losing interest in the conversation as you are now painfully aware of the venom from the bite.
“What are we going to do?” Bonnie asks. They begin to cut you out of the conversation even though they’re talking about you and you decide you can’t deal with this right now. You stand up from the couch, feeling a bit of a head rush before steadying yourself. This seems to draw their attention.
“Hey wait, where are you going?” Stefan asks, as they all look at you with bewildered expressions.
“I’m going home,” you say and start to walk away. Unfortunately, they follow.
“You can’t just go home!” Caroline exclaims, reacting as if you just said you were going to the moon.
“Watch me,” you say, your frustration getting the better of you. You try to make your way towards the door but a few steps in you stumble and Stefan speeds over to steady you.
“Okay, we’ll take you home, alright?” he says and in that moment, you’re grateful for him. He turns to the rest of the group. “We can regroup at her place and brainstorm ideas there while keeping an eye on her.” The rest of the group seems to agree with the idea. In separate cars, the group drives over to your house.
Soon you’re pulling into your driveway. They’ve all been invited in before so entering isn’t a problem. With Stefan’s help, you climb the stairs and soon find yourself in your cozy bed. You wish you could just sleep away this problem but a sudden sharp pain from the wound reminds you that isn’t possible.
“So what now?” Elena asks as the group piles into your bedroom. It feels weird and you’re slightly uncomfortable with it but you keep quiet and just get under your inviting covers.
“Maybe we can ask Klaus for help?” Bonnie suggests. At this, Damon instantly scoffs.
“Yeah that sounds like him,” Damon says.
“Maybe he’ll do it for Y/N,” Caroline says. “He does have a soft spot for her.”
“I don’t know if that’s enough for him,” Stefan interjects. “We all know what he’s after.”
“No,” Damon says. “We finally have a real weapon against those Original assholes and I’m not just going to throw it all away for—”
“Damon,” Elena hisses and nudges him in the chest before nodding over to you. Once more, all eyes are on you and you don’t know what to do. Damon looks away, maybe feeling guilty for basically saying you’re not worth it.
“Why don’t we continue this conversation downstairs?” Caroline suggests. You once again wonder why they’re talking about this situation without you but you’re too tired and hurt to care.
“We’ll be downstairs if you need anything,” Bonnie says and then the group filters out closing the door behind them.
Throughout the day a few of them check in on you every once and a while, barely giving you updates on if they’re going to find a cure. As your pain grows and the sky darkens, you start to think that maybe this is it. Maybe this is how you die. You never imagined it happening like this and your chest caves in at the thought of a final death but it’s looking more and more likely.
You’re not sure what time it is, but later in the night you hear a faint knock which sounds like it’s coming from your front door. You ignore it, not having the strength to answer it. You figure one of your friends will answer it. If they’re even home.
The knock sounds again, louder and more persistent, and you start to suspect that your friends have left. You take a deep breath as fear coils around your throat, constricting your breath. Your friends aren’t here and you’re going to die all alone before you even got to live. The knocking stops and you settle back into the silence.
Then a sound comes from your window. It sounds like…knocking? From your bed, you can’t see the outside since it’s too dark out. You wish your friends were here. Slowly, you climb out of bed and try to rally your strength in case you have to fight something or someone. As you walk over your confusion only grows.
There, perched on a branch from the tree outside your window, is Klaus Mikaelson. He gives you a wave and you hesitantly wave back. You approach the window cautiously before opening it.
“Um, can I help you?” you ask, trying to understand what you’re seeing. Hallucinations are a side effect of wolf venom, right?
“Well hello to you too, love,” he says with a cheeky smile on his face. His eyes roam over your body and his smile falters. You suddenly become aware that this is the closest you’ve ever been to the Original. You try not to let your cheeks flush.
“What are you doing here?” His smile drops entirely, noticing your serious demeanour.
“I’m here to help. Now if you could just let me in—”
“Help with what?” His face becomes grim as his eyes trail over to your shoulder. It’s now out in the open as you’ve changed into pajamas. You then remember that he must’ve seen the bite when it happened.
“Your wound, love.”
“Why…why would you want to help me with that?” you ask. Then a thought occurs. “Wait, have my friends spoken to you?”
His eyebrows furrow as he shakes his head. “No, I haven’t heard from them,” he says and though you can’t say you didn’t expect it, your heart drops at hearing it. “Wait, do they know about this?”
“Um yeah.”
He looks angry as he asks, “And where are they now?”
You look at the floor and try to keep your embarrassment inside. “I don’t know, I thought they would’ve contacted you.”
“Apparently not.” His face is still twisted in anger although you’re not quite sure why. Then he looks at you and seems to remember why he’s here. “So, can you let me in?”
The thought of having Klaus Mikaelson in your room makes your heart beat faster. And though you want to give in, to continue living your immortal life, you hesitate. “Why should I trust you?”
“What?”
“How do I know if I let you in now, it won’t come back to bite me in the ass?” you ask, your arms crossed.
Klaus doesn’t seem to understand your concern. “Love, you realize that’s a hybrid bite. I don’t think you have the time for this.”
“So you admit that you would use it later?”
His face scrunches up. “That’s not—no I wouldn’t do that—just please let me in,” he says, giving you a sincere look that threatens to break down your walls. Just as you’re about to question him more, a wave of pain washes over your body. You let out a groan as you slightly stumble back. “Y/N?” The pain grows more intense and you let out a whimper before you collapse onto your knees. “Y/N!” It’s as if your body is at war with itself and you can feel every impact of it.
“You have to let me in, just say the words and I can help you. Please!” You hear Klaus say from the window. But it’s hard to find words when the pain is so intense. You want it to stop. “Y/N!” You hear him bang his fist against the walls of your house.
You slowly lift your head up to see his worried face, desperately waiting for you to let him in. You no longer care if this will come back to haunt you. You take a few deep breaths before you say, “Come in.”
As soon as the words take effect, Klaus rushes into the house and scoops you into his arms. You clutch at his chest, not thinking of anything but the pain. He carries you over to the bed and gently places you down before quickly running over to the window to close it. The pain seems to be dwindling down but you know it’ll be back. Your whole body is so weak, you used the last of your strength to walk over and talk to Klaus.
Speaking of, he’s quickly back at your bedside, eyes furiously scanning you for signs of physical distress. Then his eyes lock on yours and you feel your breath hitch. “You have to drink my blood,” he says quietly to you.
You know that that’s the cure and that it will save you, but you’re still hesitant. This is Klaus you’re talking about. The big bad hybrid who’s been attacking your friends and causing chaos for weeks now. And yet for some reason, a part of you wants to trust him. A part of you wants to give in to the idea that he could be good. But how can you trust him when you can’t even trust your own instincts?
He must sense your hesitation, because he leans down to look into your eyes. When you look at him, you’re stuck by how truly beautiful he is. His eyes are a beautiful blue, but more than that, they hold a look of sincerity in them. “I know you don’t trust me, I wouldn’t either,” he says. “But this is what’s going to save you. So please, take a chance. What have you got to lose?”
He does have a point.
“I don’t want to die,” you admit in a small voice. Your breath stutters as you let the fear bubbling inside of you rise to the surface. Klaus’s look is sympathetic.
“I don’t want that either,” he whispers. Your eyes meet and you feel caught in them. “Let me help you.”
Maybe it’s because this is a different, more sincere side of Klaus that you’ve never seen before. Maybe it’s because your friends are gone and you’re feeling vulnerable. Maybe it’s because your instincts seem to have aligned. Either way, you nod your head.
He offers you a small smile. He then sits on the bed and gently shifts you so that you’re leaning against his chest. You’re too weak to move yourself. Klaus rolls up his sleeve and bites down on his wrist before bringing it close to your lips. You’re tempted but look at him to make sure it’s okay first. He nods and you sink your teeth into his wrist.
At first, you feel weird about the situation. But then you lean into it and begin to enjoy it. Klaus whispers encouragingly in your ear as his blood enters your body. You can feel your strength begin to return and the fog in your brain clear. You almost don’t want to stop, and the way Klaus is petting your hair doesn’t help. But eventually, you know you’ve had enough, so you pull away.
“Wasn’t so bad, eh?” Klaus says and you look up to see him smiling down at you. “Are you going to be okay?”
“I think so.”
“Then I guess my work here is done.” He moves you so you’re lying back on your bed, but when he moves to leave, you grab his arm. He looks back, confused.
“Why did you do that?” When his confusion doesn’t clear, you clarify. “Why did you help me?”
He looks down at the floor and his lip twitches into a smile. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, love, but I quite fancy you. Wouldn’t want you dying on me before I’ve had a chance to win you over.”
His words shock you enough to let go of his arm. The strangest part is that he looks sincere about it. “But…you actually like me? Like, that wasn’t all an act?” you ask. Both of you seem to be confused by the other.
“Why would I do that?” You start to feel embarrassed.
“To—to get on the group’s nerves? To throw us off?”
“Is it so hard to believe that I might just like you?” To be honest, the thought hadn’t occurred to you. Trickery made more sense.
“Yes,” you say and then wish you didn’t. “I—I mean, why me? Why not Caroline or Bonnie?”
“Besides the fact that you’re the most gorgeous creature I’ve ever laid eyes on?” he asks and you’re suddenly glad it’s dark because your cheeks are on fire right now. “Because you’re different.” That doesn’t make you feel so great. He must have picked up on that because he catches your eye and says, “Because you’re better.” The idea makes you flustered, that anyone would think you’re better than them, let alone a powerful hybrid like Klaus.
“I still don’t understand.”
“Hmm.” He seems to think on what to say before smirking. “Then I guess I’ll have to do a better job at showing you.” When he winks at you, you think your face might be on fire from how hot it is. Once again, he turns to leave.
“Thank you,” you call out which makes him stop in his tracks. He turns around to face you and seems confused by your words. But you mean them. He didn’t have to save you, you gave him nothing in return, and yet he did.
He smiles and you think it’s much better than the fake ones he gives to the group. “Of course love,” he says. “Couldn’t have my favourite vampire dying on me.” You give him a smile back, genuinely happy to hear someone say that to you.
Then your eyelids begin to feel heavy and you have to blink rapidly to stay awake. Klaus sees this and says, “Goodnight, my love,” before opening your bedroom window.
“Goodnight,” you say back as you watch the window close. You lay back down on your bed, thankful to no longer be dying. You guess you have your new saviour to thank for that. As you close your eyes, you can’t help but see Klaus in a different light. Not as a villain, but as a complicated man. You don’t think your friends are going to like your change of heart, so for now you’ll keep it to yourself. You’ll be content in knowing that maybe the big bad hybrid isn’t so bad after all.

Klaus Mikaelson x Reader!Soulmate x Elijah Mikaelson PART 4
Word Count- 3.1k
Warnings- Swearing, spoilers obi.
My fingers graze the texture of my history textbook. My eyes read through each line. Before I know it I’m at the end of the page, and yet I can’t recall a single sentence I had just “read.” I let out a loud sigh and closed the book, placing it back in place on my desk. Ever since the day I got kidnapped this has been a problem. Without being on edge, I can’t focus on school work, the people around me, or myself. Every time I walk by someone I instantly tense up to the idea of them being something supernatural. I know that Elena has told me everyone in town that she knows is a part of that world but she can’t possibly know when a complete stranger is.
Worrying about who is supernatural isn’t the only thing that’s been plaguing my thoughts, either. All night I was tossing and turning with the thought of Elijah. Damon and Elena knew as much as I did about how he was still alive. Elena had told me that a vampire could be killed with a wooden stake, and yet it had only affected Elijah temporarily.
“He’s going to destroy you.”
Kathrine’s words ring in my ears. Stefan had told me not to believe a word she says, but given that these people don’t seem to know what the hell is going on either, I’ve let her words get to me. The look of fear in her eyes at the thought strikes me to my core every time I think back to it. If a vampire that is magically locked up is afraid of this Elijah guy, then I sure as hell will be too.
I jump slightly in shock as I hear knocking on my door, I untense when I hear my mother’s voice on the other side though.
“Y/N, you have a friend here to see you,” I stand up and open my door to talk to her but freeze when I see Damon standing behind her. His lips curve up into a smirk and moves his fingers up and down in a wave as he stares at me.
“Your friend Damon here is so kind to drop in to check on you. I had no idea you were feeling under the weather.”
I glance at my mother and fight the urge to roll my eyes. Although we look so much alike I couldn’t be more different from her. Where I actually take the time to listen to people and try to understand people my mother seems to only care about what benefits her. I’m not surprised at all that she hasn’t noticed my change in attitude these past few days since she never seemed to care before.
She clears her throat at the silence she gets from me, “Well, I’ll let you talk. I have to be going anyways,” She turns to Damon who fakes a smile at her, “I have a work trip this weekend.”
“Work on the weekends, well that’s no fun,” Damon responds with a flirtatious tone that makes me want to gag. My mother on the other hand turns red.
“No worries, I always find a way to liven things up,” She leans closer to him, “Even though it would be more fun with some company.”
“Mom, you should be going now,” I interrupt before I throw up on both of them.
My mother nods and says her goodbyes to both of us, mostly Damon, and walks back down the hallway. I let out a sigh of relief but then tense up when I realized that Damon had just entered my room.
“What are you doing here,” I watch as he looks around my small room. After my mother and father’s divorce, my mother wasn’t left with very much money so we had to make do with what we could scrounge up. After moving and divorce costs we left with a tiny 3 bedroom 1 bath single story home here in Mystic Falls. It looks like a shoe box compared to the other houses in this town, but I don’t really care since I plan to move away from here the second I graduate.
“I need a favor,” Damon says to me as he picks up the stuffed frog I have on my bed and tosses it around in his hands.
“What kind of favor?”
Damon places the frog back on my bed, “Well, after your and Elena’s little suicide excursion yesterday we’ve magically locked her in her house, and I need you Pukerella to go babysit.”
I send him a glare at the nickname, “If Elena’s locked in her house why do you need me to babysit her?”
Damon rolls his shoulders and walks towards the door, “I don’t need you to do anything. I want you to go to Elena’s and let me know if she plans on calling the big bad vampire to come sacrifice her.”
“So you want me to be your spy?”
Damon thinks at the question for a moment before shrugging his shoulders, “Ya, pretty much.”
I shake my head, “I’m not going to spy on my only friend.”
Damon lets out an annoyed groan and pinches the bridge of his nose as if this is the most annoying conversation he’s had, “Fine then you won’t be my spy, you’ll be the babysitter I hired for Elena. There happy? Now come on I got other stuff to do today other than arguing with you, people to go kill and stuff like that you know?”
Damon grabs me by my upper arm and practically drags me out of my room and down the hallway toward the front door. He ignores my yells of anger as he opens the door to his car and pretty much pushes me in. I huff as he speeds over to his side and starts the car.
“Oh and by the way,” I slowly turn my head to glare at him as he starts talking, “You might want to get some vervain for yourself and your family. It was too easy getting your mother to invite me into your quaint home.”
—-
“We could watch Pretty Woman?” Elena asks Jeremy and I as we sit on the couch. Jeremy lets out a loud groan at the question making Elena laugh.
“Guess not,” She flips through some more channels before she lets out a sound of excitement, “Oh! Grease!” Elena goes to play the movie but Jeremy snatches the remote from her hand.
“No way, not happening. I have seen that movie far too many times because of you and Mom. I’m going to decide.”
It takes Jeremy another 10 minutes to scroll through the channels deciding on a movie. Every time he picks one Elena disagrees and they start arguing over it until they start searching again. This has pretty much been what we’ve been doing for the whole hour in which I’ve been at the Gilbert residence. After Damon kicked me out of his car and drove off I’ve just been listening to the Gilbert siblings argue. It’s not that bad though. Jenna, Jeremy and Elena’s aunt, supplied us with snacks a bunch of snacks before she had to leave for something she had to go do.
“Aha!”
I turn to the TV to see what Jeremy picked and cringe as I see the beginning credits for “The Human Centipede.”
Elena’s sound of disgust mirrors mine as she stands up, “This is no use. Y/N do you just want to go up to my room?”
I glance at the TV again momentarily and nod my head, “Defiantly.”
“You’ve got to read this book I just got,” Elena jumps up from her spot on the floor next to me and goes to her bookshelf, “The romance in it is so steamy and the main male character in it is so hot!” She stops and blushes at what she just said.
“Don’t tell Stefan,” She points at me.
I laugh as I bring my fingers to my lips and pretend to lock them, “You’re secret is safe with me.”
Elena and I had been making small talk until I had mentioned that I liked reading, which caught her attention. She had told me she does too and we began talking about our favorite books and genres. To which we found out we’re both fans of romance, jumpstarting an hour-long discussion.
Elena sits back down next to me and hands me her book. I strum through the pages.
“I’ll make sure to read it and let you know what I think.”
She nods and looks away as if in thought, “I can’t believe we didn’t become friends earlier. Why is that?”
Her question has me stirring uncomfortably, “Honestly I’m not that surprised. I’m not that noticeable.”
This comment has Elena furrowing her eyebrows and shaking her head, “You’re joking right,” At my look of confusion she continues, “Of course I noticed you. I mean when you come to a small town like this it’s hard not to be noticed but what I mean is that I always thought you were cool.”
I can feel my cheeks warm up at her compliment and I glance down at my fingers to hide it.
“You thought I was cool?”
“Ya of course,” She responds instantly, “You’ve got great style and you’ve got this mysterious aura about you. I just never approached you because I thought you didn’t like me.”
Her confession has me looking up and frowning, “Why would you think that?”
She shrugs her shoulders, “You just kind of sometimes look like you don’t want to be approached by anyone. I just assumed. I’m sorry.”
I shake my head at her apology, “Don’t apologize! And no, I never hated you I always thought you were the cool one. I just think I have that look on my face all the time.”
Elena laughs and smiles at me, “OK, good.”
“Good.”
We’re about to start talking about books again when we hear the front door open.
“Jenna must be home,” Elena says as she stands up and reaches her hand down for me to grab. I grab it and pull myself up and we walk downstairs.
We turn the corner and we both give each other a look as we see Jenna on the ground rummaging through some boxes.
“Hey. What are you doing,” Elena questions her Aunt.
“Oh perfect timing,” She grabs a cardboard box and hands it to Elena, and then gives another to me.
“Whoa. Oh. What is this stuff?”
“Your mom’s files from the historical society. I got roped into helping Mrs. Lockwood,” Jenna grabs her box and stands up, “And by roped, I mean very excited to participate.”
I silently laugh as I try to balance the heavy box in my arms, the laughing stops though once Jenna closes the door and I lock eyes with the man who’s been haunting my every waking thought.
“Hey, I’m Elijah.”
Elena and I stand there frozen as we watch Jenna interact with the vampire.
“Elijah’s in town doing research on Mystic Falls,” She introduces us not knowing we’ve already had the displeasure of meeting.
I freeze up and grip the box I’m holding tighter to my chest as Elijah walks closer to us. He quickly greets Elena, skating her hand before turning his full attention onto me. I’m visibly shaking right now and it only worsens as Elijah reaches his hands up and grabs the box from my hands. His fingers grazed mine for longer than needed.
“Here let me take this,” He places the box back down and reaches his hand up to me in greeting.
We both stand there looking at each other for what seems like forever as he waits for me to shake his hand.
“I don’t like being touched,” I blurt out. Elijah slowly lowers his hand and I might be mistaken but from the look on his face, he almost appeared saddened by that.
Jenna joins us again telling Elijah that he can stay here and rummage through the boxes, to which he turns down. I try to find the wall behind Elena interesting to keep my line of sight away from the vampire, but I can still sense him staring at me. After another moment he tells Jenna he’s going to have someone pick up the boxes tomorrow and bids Jenna and Elena a farewell. I almost think he’s left us but when I look back over I find that Elijah has moved even closer and he gives me a warm smile and leans down.
“I hope to speak with you again soon, Miss Y/L/N.” My chest starts moving up and down rapidly, which he seems to have noticed, as I nod at his words. He doesn’t seem to get that I won’t be saying anything back to him because he stands there staring at my face. After what seems like a lifetime I watch as he moves by me towards the front door, but not before he lifts a finger and grazes the end of my sweater.
I watch with bated breath as he shuts the door behind him. Elena doesn’t waste any time before dragging me up the stairs and banging on Jeremy’s door. As she goes to open the door I feel a hand grab my waist and pull me. My back hits something strong and I go to squeal but it comes out muffled as a hand moves over my mouth. I look up and freeze as I stare up at Elena to whom he motions to be quiet. I hear Jeremy open his door but I can’t focus on any of the words he’s saying as I watch Elijah’s face. I make note of the light stubble that runs across his jawline and the practically flawless skin he has. Lucky ass vampires. My staring must’ve caught his attention, as his dark brown eyes meet mine. Once again the corners of his lips turn upwards into a small smile as he watches me watch him.
Jeremy walking by us catches my attention and Elijah drops the hand from my mouth, but not before leaning down, and what I could’ve sworn was sniffing my hair. Elena quickly grabs my hand and pulls me away from Elijah and for a second I almost feel annoyed at this. Clearly not as annoyed as Elijah though was lets out a snarl, making Elena go rigid.
“What do you want?”
Elijah composes himself once, “I think it’s time we three at a little chat.”
—-
“Forgive the intrusion. I mean your family no harm,” Elijah tells Elena as he walks around her room.
“Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take me,” Elena questions him as she comes to sit down next to me on her bed.
“Because I didn’t want you to be taken,” Elijah says confusing both Elena and I, “Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals but those who fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelganger exists there’ll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can’t have that.”
A cold feeling runs up and down my spine at the mention of Klaus.
“Isn’t that exactly what you’re trying to do,” Elena questions him again.
“Let’s just say that my goal is not to break the curse.”
My eyebrows furrow in confusion at the confession. Elijah looks at Elena and then brings his eyes towards me for a moment before turning back to Elena as she begins speaking.
“So what is your goal?”
“Klaus’ obsessions have made in paranoid. He’s a recluse. He trusts only those in his immediate circle.”
“Like you?”
“Not anymore.”
“An old ass paranoid vampire, how much better could this be,” I whisper out loud to myself sarcastically. I look up and see Elijah looking at me with a small smirk on his face as he must’ve heard my comment.
“You don’t know where he is do you,” Elena questions but he doesn’t turn his gaze away from me, “So you’re trying to use me to draw him out.”
Elijah lets out a sigh as he turns his attention back towards my friend, “Well, to do that I need you to stay put and stop trying to get yourself killed.”
He gives her a smile and I have to stop myself from smiling at it.
“How do I know you’re telling the truth?”
“Well, if I wasn’t being truthful, all your family would be dead and I’d be taking you to Klaus right now. Instead… I’m here and I’m prepared to offer you a deal.”
And the smile was instantly gone.
This grabs Elena’s attention, “What kind of a deal?”
Elijah stands up and starts walking around, “Do nothing. Do nothing, live your life, stop fighting. And then, when the time is right, you and I shall draw Klaus out together and I shall make certain that your friends remain unharmed.”
“And then what?”
“Then I kill him.”
“Just like that?”
Elijah smirks at her, “Just like that. I’m a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal, I keep a deal.”
“How are you going to be able to keep everybody safe?”
“You know, I notice you have a friend, Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts.”
“You know witches.” Elena nods her head to which I fight the urge to say “duh” to. This guy is oldddd, of course, he knows witches.
“Together we can protect everybody that matters to you.”
I watch silently as Elijah walks over to Elena and reaches his hand out for her to shake, “So do we have a deal?”
“As long as you keep my friends safe,” Elena looks over to me, “Y/N is one of those friends.”
Elijah looks over to me and smirks, “Trust me deal or no deal. No one will be laying a finger on Y/N. That I give you my word on.”
I fidget under his intense stare.
“I need you to do one more thing for me.”
Elijah turns back to face Elena with an incredulous look, “We’re negotiating now?”
Elena tells Elijah she’ll accept his deal if he gets his witches to free Stefan from some vampire tomb he’s been trapped in. Why has no one told me this yet? Elijah reluctantly agrees and they shake hands, cementing their deal. With one last glance toward me, Elijah nods his head and speeds away.
Elena and I both let out shaking breaths as we stared at each other.
“Any chance you want to spend the night,” Elena asks me hopefully with a sheepish look.
I nod my head quickly, “My mom is out of town and my brother’s at a sleepover. There’s no way in hell I’m going back to that empty house tonight.”

summary: you have to make a deal with Kai to save Elena after he kidnaps her
Tumblr media
You’re speeding down the street to your old high school, praying that the fire burning in your gut would sustain you when you finally confront Kai Parker. When you overheard Damon and Bonnie discussing Elena’s disappearance in hushed voices, you immediately knew this had Kai’s name written all over it. Though unsure of how kidnapping Elena fit into his master plan, you knew the outcome could be catastrophic if someone didn’t intervene soon and it would be your fault.
While the others waited on Jo to concoct a proper plan, you slipped quietly out the front door. Sneaking around wasn’t your norm, but you couldn’t risk Damon or Bonnie trying to stop you. Your circle of friends couldn’t seem to wrap their heads around your being anything other than Bonnie’s useless little sister, often sheltering you from the dangers of the supernatural world. You knew they meant well but you couldn’t shake the feeling that they underestimated you and the constant need to prove yourself loomed over as you didn’t want to be the weakest link and a burden.
Still, if you had run your “plan” by them, they’d be right in telling you it was a suicide mission. Even as a Bennett witch, you’re no match for Kai, especially after he sucked up all the magic from the boundary spell on the town. His body’s teeming with it all the way down to his fingertips and paired with his moral depravity, he’s scarier than the devil. Even Damon, who was known to act on impulse- especially when it came to Elena- opted to come up with a plan instead.
Your doubt doesn't hit you until you enter the school. The low lights and empty halls, save for a few crumpled papers on the floor, creates an ominous ambience that sets you on edge. You turn your head and jump from every noise or movement you see from the corner of your eye. You’re unsure if he knew you were here and was just toying with you. It was always a game with Kai, like he got some sick amusement from stalking his prey before putting them out of their misery.
So what’s your plan when you did finally find him? Surely he’d torture you right along side Elena if not kill you dead on the spot for wasting his time. He’d already made it abundantly clear that you meant nothing to him- even after all you’d gone through together.
You met him in the 1994 prison world and naively believed every lie he told. You chose to not only help him but befriend him. That quickly turned into something much more- or at least it was for you- falling victim to his witty charm and seductive eyes. Early on, it was long conversations they had you feeling like you’d known him forever soon devolving into him eyefucking you over dinner before placing you on the table and feasting on your gooey center for dessert. He took pleasure in corrupting your innocent mind with his intoxicating advances until you were addicted to him, taking advantage of your fogged up instincts so that you never realized he was just using you.
That is, until you did the spell. When you both crossed the threshold between worlds it was like a switch went off in his head. He changed, becoming cruel and sardonic, no sign of the thoughtful guy you cared for behind those empty eyes. You were just a means to an end who had served her purpose.
Nonetheless you continue on, though warily. Part of you refuses to believe he’s just a heartless sociopath, that maybe there’s a shred of the guy you met weeks ago still inside him that you could reason with.
You hear the rumbling of the vending machine around the corner. Peaking your head out, you see him bending over to lift a can of soda before cracking it open and taking a casual sip like he didn’t have a hostage he was torturing somewhere in the school. You can’t help but notice the way the gray MFHS tee was tight along his back, hugging his biceps as they flexed, each rope along his defined arms you had memorized by touch. He’s already distracting you and he isn’t even trying.
He suddenly glances back and you duck behind the wall, hoping he didn’t see you. Your heart knocks around against your ribs as a fear takes root like the anticipation of certain death mixed with the self consciousness of bumping into an ex. You want to run but you thought of Elena and your guilt turns your stomach sour. You take a sharp breath and turn, stopping abruptly before your nose collides with the middle of his chest.
“Hey, Rosy. This is a surprise..” Kai scrutinizes you under his hardened gaze, openly raking his eyes down your body.
He sips at his drink while you gather at your words, only a timid “hi…” squeaking past your lips.
Kai lowers his soda once he drains it and tosses the husk into the nearby recycling before crossing his arms, head cocked in amusement with a crooked smile playing on his lips. “What are you doing here? No wait- let me guess, you couldn’t get enough of me, huh?”
Your throat goes dry and you shake your head, “NO- no… it’s not like that- I-”
He waves his hand flippantly, “Relax.. I’m just fucking with you, so what can I do you for?”
“I know you have Elena, and I want you to let her go.”
“And why would I do that?” He sneers.
You avert your eyes, shifting your weight between each foot hesitantly. “..because it's the right thing to do…”
Kai pauses before breaking into a brief yet boisterous fit of laughter, clutching his chest while your face burns in humiliation. He continues in a condescending tone, “God, you're cute, but if that’s really all you’ve got, let me give you some advice: go home before things get ugly.” He turns his back to you and starts walking away.
“If you let her go.. you can have me instead!” you blurt out.
Kai stops in his tracks and looks over his shoulder. The glint in his wicked eyes making you swallow the lump growing in your throat. “Let me get this straight, you want to trade places with Elena? But why? You don’t even like her that much… oh-ohhh i get it..” he scoffs.
“What?” you stare back in confusion.
“This is all one big ploy you came up with to get my attention. You really can’t get me out of your system, can you? Not that I blame you..” He’s far too cocky for his own good but your bewildered expression isn’t doing you any favors.
Heat rises to your face as you ignore his comments, “the magic you siphoned will only last so long before you need to replenish and I offer myself as a renewable source.”
He let out a sigh, tapping his chin as if he were really mulling this idea over when in reality, he already made up his mind. In fact, the moment he sensed your presence, he had not intentions of letting you go.
“Deal.”
Tumblr media
Kai drags you to the cafeteria where you find Elena. Her eyes light up when she sees you, arms tied behind her back with tightly wound vervain ropes.
You watch him, praying he’ll keep up his end of the bargain. He lifts his hand and utters a short spell until the ropes withered away. “You’re free to go. Little Bennett just bailed you out.”
Elena’s speechless, staring between the two of you while all you could offer was a smile that you hope comes off as more reassuring than apologetic. She knew Bonnie would absolutely freak if she left her little sister with the murderous sociopath, but before she can open her mouth to argue, Kai grows impatient and chants the motus incantation while swinging his arm back. Elena’s body is propelled out the doors, leaving the two of you. alone.
He rubs his palms as he returns to you. “There. a deal’s a deal.”
You peer up at him through thick eyelashes, just waiting, unsure what for. Typically when he looked down at you like this, your next move would be to sink to your knees and it seemed that old habits die hard as you struggle to resist the wayward urge.
He raises an eyebrow with a smirk, “aren’t you at least gonna try to run?”
You lift your chin with a defiant air. “I'm not scared of you.”
Kai reaches out and snatches your forearm, siphoning your magic so fast that it burns up through your skin, the pain makes you cry out. You wrench yourself free as he lets go, sending you stumbling slightly before you regain yourself and dart out the room.
Kai calmly begins his pursuit. “Things just got a lot more interesting.”
The classrooms go by in a blur, you're hoping Elena was long gone by this point as you aren’t sure if running away breaks the guidelines of your deal, though you wouldn’t put anything past Kai. Your heart steadies once you dip into the library, hoping to hide within the maze of book shelves. When you hear his low footsteps approaching, your stomach drops. His lackadaisical humming fills the space. This is a game to him. Your breathing slows as you silently plan your next move.
“They always try to hide…” he tsks. “C’mon dollface, I know you're in here…” he taunts. You watch his shadow move closer and slide out from behind the shelf, making a beeline for the fire extinguisher you noticed on the far wall.
Before you make it halfway across the aisle, screens of fire emerging on either side of your body intersect, making you reel back before the scorching flame. You're trapped.
“Okay, enough running. I'm bored now.”
You panic as he blocks the only path out of the circle with his body.
“I just want you to stop hurting my friends and Jo and the twins-“
His hand flies out and closes around your windpipe, trapping your words in your throat and all you can do is claw helplessly at his forearm.
“I’m sorry but you know my family’s a soft spot for me. Perhaps we should talk about us instead.. or better yet, not talk at all..”
Your body goes taut when you feel his hand snake up your thigh, fingers stopping to toy with the waistband of your panties, reveling in how he silently riles you up by snapping it against your skin.
You meet his dark cerulean eyes as he slackens his hold on your neck, allowing you to finally suck in a full breath as he tilts your head back and drags his thumb across your lower lip, he’s so close you can feel the heat of his breath ghosting across your face but you're still too stubborn to give in to the desire to taste him.
“That’s not why I came,” you rasp out, looking away.
You whimper when he closes his palm over your sex. “Sometimes plans change. frankly, I can think of a way better use of your time than trying to appeal to my humanity ‘cause listen baby, it’s never gonna’ happen.”
You don’t even notice the fire go out around you while your body still burns under his touch. He slots your panties aside and strokes your bare slit up to your bud, it’s pulsing and touch-starved. his mouth captures yours in a bruising kiss, his tongue invading every area of your mouth as your arousal pools in his hand.
“I thought you were gonna’ make this difficult for me,” he husks, making you pout, shake your head, wanting to push him away just so he wouldn’t have the satisfaction of making you cum but he plays your body expertly, melting your resolve until you’re sent into a full blown relapse of need. You abandon your pride and pull him closer, carding your fingers through his dark locks.
His feral touch consumes you, the outline of his cock brushes your inner thigh with every impatient rut of his hips. You let out a whine of surprise when he lifts you and pins you back into the nearest shelf. He flips up your skirt and makes quick work of his belt while dropping your panties around your ankles.
His fingers dig into the flesh of your hips while dragging you down into each thrust, your pussy gushing obscenely while you weep softly into the crook of his neck. Even with your ample arousal, the sting of his intrusion takes a moment to give way to that familiar pressure that makes heat pool in your abdomen as your pussy hungrily swallows each thrust.
The feeling intoxicates you like an electrifying high that was all consuming, overriding any sense of self-preservation. “I love you,” you let slip in a small breathy voice.
He stiffens but doesn’t dare stop. “Shut up,” he grunts while driving his cock so hard the shelf rattles. “Don’t ruin this for me.”
You let out a choked sob, tears spilling down as you anchor yourself to him.
“Shh.. don’t cry.. Look, I’ve been really generous. I didn’t have to let Elena go. I could’ve fucked you right in front of her, let her go back and tell everyone what a slut I made of you.”
He aims deliberately at your g-spot, watching your face for every reaction as he edges you closer to your release.
“Cum on my cock, baby… that’s it.. atta’ girl,” he coaxes you gently, cooing in your ear. You ignite, scratching down his biceps as you let go, tremoring from the inside out in sharp waves until he slows and finally let’s you come down.
Shame instantly fills your veins, becoming deeply aware of your sticky thighs and mascara stained cheeks. But he isn’t finished. He grabs your leg and hikes your knee up to your chest before angling his hips and burying himself deep.
“Fucking hell, Kai! Ah- It’s too much…” you bite out as your puffy overstimulated walls clench down.
He reaches up to choke you, laughs and mocks your pathetic whimpers. “Isn’t this what you wanted, baby... my undivided attention? N-no? You little liar…”
His pelvic bone stims your swollen clit and that’s enough to send you into another spiral. His forehead pressed to yours as he moans softly and grows sloppy. Your pulsing cunt causes him to twitch inside you with a groan, his cum spilling into you before giving a few light thrusts and pulling out. You feel his spend dribble down your inner thighs, falling in droplets to the carpet.
He kneels down and pulls your panties up over your hips, ruining the garment.
“I sshould go home,” you say when you finally catch your breath.
You wait, but he doesn’t move to let you go. Then his mouth forms a domineering smile that shows each of his sharp teeth.
“No chance dollface. We had a deal.”

{Part One}{Part Three}{Part Four}{Part Five}
Tumblr media
It was one of those delightfully sunny days in mystic falls, and you were absolutely going to take advantage of it.
The last few weeks had been a flurry of activity and drama, with Damon trying to find out what Elijah was up to. With zero success.
You wanted to have some fun, so you decided to go to the grill for the afternoon, and maybe have a bite or two.
You wore your most sinful little sundress, the kind that made you look younger and so dreadfully innocent. It came to just above your knees, a little bit of cleavage exposed, and it was white and with yellow flowers.
You did a little spin in front of your mirror, smiling at the way the skirt flared around your thighs, showing just a little bit more skin. You were feeling flirty, and the sun was calling your name.
"Going hunting?" Damon asked, leaning against your doorframe, looking at your outfit with amusement.
You turned to face him, a playful smile on your lips. "Can't a girl dress up just for fun?"
"Sure they can, but you aren't just a girl," He replied, grinning at his own joke.
You rolled your eyes, picking up your purse and pushing past him, ignoring his chuckle as he followed after you.
"Be safe, there are werewolves in town, not to mention Elijah," He warned, standing at the bottom of the stairs, watching you slip into your heels.
You gave him a kiss on the cheek, smacking his cheek a little too hard. "Love you," You teased, skipping out the door and onto the front lawn.
You felt free and wild, a skip in your step and a smile on your face. As soon as you arrived at the grill, you headed straight for the bar, waving at the bartender.
He frowned and walked up to you, looking you up and down. "Aren't you a bit young to be drinking?"
You pouted and placed a hand on his, leaning forward, and looking up at him through your eyelashes.
"Please? Just one," You begged.
The guy hesitated, glancing between you and the beer, unsure what to do.
You smiled and leaned in a little more, your pupils dilating as you took control of his mind, "I'm older than I look,"
His eyes glazed over and he nodded and turned around, filling a glass with the beer. You were grinning, and thanking him.
You turned around on the stool and surveyed the bar, looking for a snack. Unlike most vampires, you always got more hungry when alcohol was involved, and now you were craving something sweet.
Your eyes scanned the tables, the couples and groups of people sitting and talking, and finally they landed on the three men playing pool in the corner.
They all looked drunk and it was only the afternoon, the two guys paying and the third watching them, laughing and carrying on.
You sipped your drink, watching them, waiting for the right moment. The one with a shaved head pulled out a pack of cigarettes, and he and the other guy walked out the backdoor, leaving the third alone.
Perfect.
You picked up your beer and walked over to the table, a playful smile on your lips. You walked up next to him, resting a hand on his arm, leaning against him a little.
"Hi," you said in a soft voice, a little higher than your usual tone.
The guy looked down at you, and smiled. "Hey,"
"I'm y/n," You grinned, sipping your beer, your fingers trailing along his arm.
"Mike," He smiled, watching you curiously.
"Mike," You repeated, letting his name roll off your tongue, tasting it, deciding if you liked it.
He was an attractive guy, taller than you, brown hair, and bright green eyes. You found the pretty ones always tasted the best.
"Do you wanna play a game?" You asked, nodding at the pool table, a shy smile on your lips.
"Um, yeah, sure," He said, taking the stick and holding it out to you.
You giggled and took the stick, pretending to not know what to do, and letting Mike come up behind you and guide your arms, teaching you how to hit the balls.
You could feel the warmth of his body against yours, the gentle movements of his arms, and his breath hot on your neck. The perfect appetizer.
"Thank you," You said, spinning around and wrapping your arms around his neck, pressing against him.
"Anytime," He grinned, his eyes darkening with lust.
You smiled and stood on your tiptoes, your lips ghosting over his. You had him just where you wanted him and now you could hear his friends coming back inside. Everything was going perfectly.
You tilted your head to look at his friends, who were just as attractive and drunk as he was.
"Your friends are coming back, let's all have some fun?" You said softly, your finger running down the middle of his chest, your pupils dilating as you took complete control of his mind.
"Sure, sounds great," He smiled, his eyes going distant and cloudy.
"Hi, sorry, didn't mean to interrupt," The guy with the shaved head said, eyeing the two of you up.
"It's okay," Mike grinned, looking at you, "I was just teaching her how to play,"
You stepped out of Mike's embrace and looked at the guy, reaching out your hand and introducing yourself.
"Dane," He replied, shaking your hand, "That's Jeff," He nodded his head to the other man.
You introduced yourself and shook his hand, then did the same with the third guy.
"I was hoping we could all play a game, I'm really bad at this," You pouted, giving them the puppy eyes.
"You bet," Dane smiled, his arm going around your waist, you giggled and pushed your ass against his groin.
The guys set up the table, and you started a round, giggling and making terrible shots.
"No no no, that's not right," Jeff laughed, stepping behind you and guiding your hands.
"Oh, I see," You hummed, pretending not to know what he was talking about.
It took less than fifteen minutes to have all three of them completely under your compulsion. They were following your every word, and doing whatever you wanted.
"Can we go somewhere else?" You asked softly, looking around at your buffet with big doe eyes, twirling your hair. "I'm not supposed to be drinking, I'm not old enough,"
"Sure," Jeff nodded, wrapping his arm around you, his fingers brushing against the side of your breast.
"We have a hotel room, you should come with us," Mike said, his arm around Dane's shoulders.
"Oh, I don't know. I don't think my brothers would like that," You said softly, a blush in your cheeks.
"Come on, we can keep a secret," Dane grinned, glancing at his two friends.
You giggled and let them lead you out of the Grill, your hand tucked into the crook of Jeff's arm.
As soon as you reached the alley, you turned to face them, pretending to search through your purse.
"Hey, do any of you have a cigarette? I can't find mine," You pouted, giving a disappointed look.
"Here," Mike smiled, lighting a smoke for you and placing it between your lips.
"Thank you, Mike," you cooed, taking a long drag and leaning against the brick wall.
"I think you're really hot," he replied, putting his hands on the wall next to your head, caging you in.
You giggled and flicked the ashes, taking another drag. "Is that so?" You teased, letting your eyes wander over his body, biting your lip.
"Yes," He smirked, his hands moving down the wall, next to your hips, his face inches from yours.
"How old are you Mike?" You asked, blowing smoke into his face, a seductive smirk on your lips.
"Twenty-six," He answered, leaning forward and trying to kiss you.
You giggled, pushing him away playfully. "Will you do something for me Mike?" You asked, taking one last drag and flicking the cigarette to the ground.
"Yeah, anything," He said eagerly.
"Go back inside and get me a bottle of their best bourbon," You said sweetly, placing a finger on his lips. "It will make such a nice pairing,"
Mike nodded and disappeared back inside. You looked over at the other two, still leaning against the wall.
"I need help, and you guys are gonna help me, right?" You asked, batting your eyelashes.
"Of course," They replied, nodding their heads.
You smiled and pushed off the wall, standing in front of Dane.
"Kiss me," You purred, a coy smile on your lips.
Dane's lips were on yours before you could take a breath. He was rough, pushing you back into the wall, his hands grabbing your ass and squeezing. He tried to push his tongue into your mouth, but you bit it off before he could.
You giggled and spat the bloody muscle onto the ground before you pulled his head back, sinking your fangs into his neck. It was quick work to drain him, he didn't even have time to scream before his limp body fell to the ground.
Jeff watched, his eyes glazed over, swaying a little, looking slightly confused. He watched as you drained his friend, licking your lips.
"Come here," You beckoned, stepping over the corpse and taking Jeff's hand. "It's okay sweetheart," You hummed, your hands roaming over his chest.
He was tall, and broad shouldered, his biceps flexing. A perfect feast.
"You look like a main course," You whispered, leaning up and kissing him, a small bite on his bottom lip.
"Oh?" He mumbled, his eyes hazy.
You smiled and nodded, guiding his hand to your throat, encouraging him to squeeze. His fingers pressed into your skin, restricting your air flow.
"Tighter," You gasped, tilting your head to expose more of your neck.
His grip tightened and you let out a moan, your body arching towards him, begging for more. Your fangs extending, ready to feed.
Mike came back into the alley with the bottle in hand, and stopped at the sight before him. He watched as his friend strangled you, his hand tightening around your throat, and your moans growing louder.
"Jeff?" He said softly, not understanding what was happening.
You looked over, seeing Mike's confused expression. You pulled Jeff closer, sinking your fangs into his neck. His eyes widened and he gasped, trying to pull away, but you were stronger.
You moaned against his skin, pulling him tighter, and drinking greedily. Jeff's knees buckled and you caught him, pulling him into your arms, laying his dead body on the ground.
You stood, blood now dripping down your chin and onto your dress. You smiled and wiped a bit that was dripping from your lips, then walked up to Mike, who was staring at the bodies in shock.
"Hi," You smiled, reaching out and touching his cheek, making him look at you. "Thanks for the bourbon,"
You opened the bottle and took a swig, the strong liquor burning its way down your throat. You handed the bottle to Mike and leaned in, your lips grazing his ear.
"Drink," You ordered.
His mouth opened and he took a long sip, his eyes glassy, the bottle now stained with your own bloody fingerprints.
"Mike, can I ask you a question?" You asked sweetly, running your fingers through his hair.
"Yes,"
"Why did you hit on me when you knew I was underage? That's not very nice," You said in a sing-song voice.
"Because you are hot," He said, his eyes transfixed on your bloody mouth.
"I am hot," You nodded, pulling the bottle from his hand and taking another drink. "But you must know what you did was wrong,"
"It was wrong," He nodded, his voice flat and distant.
"What do you think should happen to people who hurt little girls like me?" You asked, placing the bottle on the ground and running your hands along his chest.
"They should be punished,"
"I agree," You smiled, pushing him against the wall and pressing your body against his. "You deserve to be punished, Mike,"
He didn't reply, just nodded. You kissed his cheek and then his neck, biting down and tearing at his skin. As his body grew heavy in your arms, you sank to the ground, cradling him against you, humming a song softly, draining him until the last drop.
You finished the bottle of bourbon and threw the empty bottle into a trash bin. You stood and fixed your dress, pulling the straps up a little higher. You looked around at the bodies, a smile on your face.
"That was quite the ostentatious display," said a deep voice from behind you.
You jumped and spun around, facing Elijah. He was leaning against the brick wall, his arms crossed, looking impeccable, a small amused smile on his face.
"What are you doing here?" You asked, smoothing down your dress, suddenly feeling self conscious.
"Why, watching the show," he teased, gesturing to the three bodies lying on the ground.
You rolled your eyes, not even trying to hide the grin on your face.
"Did you enjoy it?" You asked, stepping over the bodies and walking over to him.
"A bit grandiose for my taste, but..." He moved closer, his arm going around your waist, drawing you against him. "I always enjoy seeing you hunt,"
"Mmm, maybe I'll hunt you next," You hummed, placing a hand on his chest, playing with the buttons.
He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound.
"Hmmm, she likes roleplay," He mused, taking out his handkerchief and wiping the blood from your cheek. "Aren't you just full of surprises,"
You rolled your eyes and let him clean the blood off, and when he was finished, you reached up and grabbed his collar, pulling him down into a kiss.
"Why haven't you called me?" You asked, your hands gripping his jacket, a slight pout on your lips.
"I have been busy," He answered, smiling slightly.
"Doing what?" You asked, looking up at him, your bottom lip jutting out.
"Business. The kind we don't discuss," he hummed, placing a soft kiss on your forehead.
You sighed, looking away, and letting go of him. You were always careful about not getting too attached to men, they would always end up being assholes or liars. But Elijah wasn't like the other men you'd been with. He wasn't withholding because he was playing a game, he was protecting you, and himself.
"Have I upset you? I thought we agreed it was safer this way," He said softly, his thumb grazing along your cheek, and then his finger under your chin, turning your face towards him.
"You're right," You said, a slight shake in your voice. "I'm just not used to this,"
"Neither am I," he hummed, his hand slipping into yours, entwining your fingers together.
He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on your lips. You closed your eyes and tried to relax, letting yourself get lost in him.
"What are you doing tonight?" You asked, pulling away and looking up at him, a playful smile on your lips.
"Well," he began, then looked down at his phone, his brows furrowing slightly. "I unfortunately have something I need to attend to,"
"Oh," You said softly, disappointment creeping into your voice.
"However, I will be available afterwards." He smiled, and pulled out a card from his pocket, it had an address written on it.
"Apartment 117, be there in around midnight," He instructed, slipping the card into your hand.
"Okay," You nodded, glancing at the card.
"I would say you look beautiful tonight, but I can see you dressed for something else," He teased, his eyes lingering on your dress, and then back up at you, a knowing smile on his lips.
"You don't like it?" You smirked, giving him a little twirl, the bottom of the dress fanning out.
He hummed, taking in the sight of you, a playful gleam in his eyes. "It doesn't suit you,"
You let out a little gasp, and gave him a hard slap on the chest. He chuckled, grabbing your hand and pulling you against him, his lips on yours.
"Be safe tonight," He whispered against your lips, his breath warm.
You grinned and nodded, and then he was gone. You sighed, tucking the card into your purse, and then glanced at the three bodies, contemplating how you should dispose of them.
The sun had fully set now, the street lights flickering to life. You grabbed the legs of one of the men and dragged him over to the dumpster, and then did the same for the other two.
You stood back, looking at the three dead men, and then you took out a cigarette and lit it, leaning against the brick wall and taking a long drag.
You glanced down at your outfit, a smirk playing on your lips. Elijah was right, this dress wasn't you, not really. But it did look great, and it had the desired effect.
You poured the remaining bourbon over the bodies and took another drag, then tossed the lit cigarette into the dumpster, igniting the alcohol. You smiled and walked away, humming a song under your breath, a spring in your step.
It was just a few hours before midnight, and you wanted to make sure you had time to go home and change. You were going to see Elijah, and you needed the perfect outfit.
It was certainly going to be a delicious night.
Tumblr media
"What happened!" You gasped, looking around the living room, which was covered in blood and broken glass.
"Had a lovely visit from the werewolves," Damon sighed, scrubbing a large pool of blood from the white carpet in the middle of the living room.
"Are you okay?" You asked, setting down your purse and grabbing the broom.
"Fine, fine, thanks for asking," He muttered, his hand going over his ribs.
You started sweeping the shattered glass and bits of wood into a pile, and noticed a large dent in the wall, and a blood trail. It was human blood, and there was a lot of it.
"Alaric's," Damon explained, following your gaze. "Don't worry, he was wearing his ring, he's fine,"
"So, what happened?" You asked, trying to piece together what could have caused this much damage.
"They came looking for the moonstone, thought I still had it," Damon shrugged, tossing a bloodied towel into the kitchen.
You watched him pick up a pile of chains left in the middle of the room, and walk towards the cellar.
"They stabbed Rick, stuck me with a needle of vervain and chained me up," Damon continued, making his way down into the cold stone room, the sound of chains clanging as he hung them up.
You got closer to your brother, inspecting his neck and forearms. "Did they bite you?" You asked, searching for the marks.
"Not a full moon, wouldn't do much," Damon sighed, brushing you away.
You were relieved, and let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. You feared for your brother, he was always so reckless, and would end up dead one day.
"Why didn't they kill you? Or just take the stone?" You asked, following him up the stairs.
"Well... We had a visitor. Elijah showed up," He answered, pouring himself a large glass of bourbon.
"Elijah was here?" You asked, excitement creeping into your voice.
Damon gave you an odd look, his bright blue eyes looking you up and down. He didn't like how you said his name, or how excited you were about it.
"Yeah," he said slowly, taking a long sip. "He showed them the moonstone, and when the wolves tried to take it, he killed them,"
"All of them?" You asked, the broom and dustpan forgotten.
"The ones who didn't run," Damon nodded, his gaze piercing, watching every small expression.
"Good," you replied, a soft smile on your lips.
"You need to steer clear of him y/n," Damon said sternly, putting down his glass and walking over to you. "He is one dangerous mother fucker, who we still don't know how to kill,"
"I know that," You nodded, avoiding his gaze.
"Do you?" He challenged, his hand grabbing your chin, forcing you to look at him. "While you are out there, playing innocent to lure men in, I'm here trying to figure out how to keep everyone safe,"
"I am not an idiot, Damon," You huffed, pushing his hand away.
"Do you know what he's planning? He is going to sacrifice Elena, you remember her right? Your friend? Stefan's girl? Do you want her dead?" He snapped, his anger flaring.
"Of course not," You replied, annoyed by the insinuation.
"Then why haven't you done anything to help? Bonnie is out here laying her life on the line, Stefan and I are constantly trying to keep her safe, and even Jeremy has been more useful than you,"
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. You had a plan, you just couldn't tell him.
"I am doing my part, Damon," You said quietly, your shoulders slumping. "You just have to trust me,"
Damon's eyes softened, and his anger seemed to ebb. He reached out and brushed a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
"You know I do," He hummed, cupping your face gently.
"Don't get killed," You said softy, tears stinging the corners of your eyes.
Damon chuckled, wiping a stray tear with his thumb. "I can't, you'll be all alone,"
You sniffled, and rolled your eyes. "Stefan would be so insulted to hear you say that," You joked, trying to keep the mood light.
"Well, I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings," Damon smirked, taking a step back, and grabbing his drink.
"Go take a shower, you smell like a wet dog," You laughed, pushing him towards the stairs.
"It's actually werewolf piss," He smirked, heading upstairs, the smell following him.
"Lovely," You said, wrinkling your nose and continuing to clean up.
A few minutes later, the sound of water could be heard. You finished cleaning up and headed upstairs, changing into a short silk robe.
You sat down at the vanity and fixed your hair, and applied a fresh coat of dark lipstick. You wanted to look your best for Elijah. You grabbed a perfume bottle and spritzed a few pumps onto your neck and wrists.
You stood, and went over to the wardrobe, opening it and searching for the perfect dress. You knew exactly what you wanted to wear. Something simple, and classic. The kind of clothing you knew Elijah would appreciate.
As you worked on the finishing touches, your mind wandered to Damon's words. You hated to keep secrets, especially from him, but you didn't have a choice. There was no way you could explain it to him, he just wouldn't understand and go all big brother on you.
You grabbed a pair of high heels and slipped them on, and then put on a black shawl and matching gloves, completing the look. You looked at yourself in the mirror, a satisfied smile on your lips.
"Damn, sis," Damon whistled, his eyes trailing over you, a smirk on his lips.
"Shut up," You chuckled, grabbing your purse.
"Wait, where are you going dressed like that?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowing, and his head tilting slightly.
"Out," You answered, avoiding his gaze, and adjusting your shawl.
"No, really," He replied sarcastically.
"Yes, really," You laughed, making your way to the door.
"You already went hunting today, you are getting downright greedy, there will be no men left in town," Damon teased, following you down the stairs.
"There's plenty of men," You smirked, glancing at him, and then the grandfather clock, it was twenty minutes to midnight.
"Well, if you do happen to run into anyone particularly tasty, invite them back here, I'm bored," Damon mused, watching you head for the door.
"Night brother," You smiled, leaning in and kissing his cheek.
"Be careful," He called, his arms crossing over his chest.
"I always am," You assured him, and then stepped outside into the night.

She’s electric | Part 1
Pairing: Liam Gallagher x fem!bassist reader
Plot: Liam’s hatred for Blur runs deep. However, no matter how much he hates them and their stupid music - he cannot seem to hate their bassist.
A/N: i’ve got a disgusting crush on that old man (please don’t tweet him)
Tumblr media
(1995, at the after-show party of the Brit Music Awards)
God.
Liam shakes his head in disapproval. Just looking at them made him want to hurl his drink against one of those huge pretentious speakers, the ones blasting nothing but stupid pop music. How the actual fuck did Blur manage to win 4 bloody Brit Awards tonight? His eyes move from Damon’s figure to the woman standing next to him and he brings the beer bottle up to his lips again. Y/N. Fuck. Never in his life did he feel so irritated by a woman.
She’s throwing her head back in laughter and Liam bites his lips in sheer annoyance. He silently observes how she takes a step to the side before walking over to the nearest bar, she says something to the bartender and her index finger goes up to point at something that's written on the chalkboard. Liam takes one final deep breath from his cigarette before ultimately making his way in her direction- his iconic walk and bitter face paint the picture of a man who’s about to show her his absolute worst behavior.
“Congrats on ya’ little bands award.”
“Thanks.”, is all she says as she takes a sip of her drink. Her gaze moves up to meet his. “That’s it? Yer not going to brag about it?” But Y/N merely scoffs:” I’m not like you, I don’t need to rub our success into everyone's faces.” Maybe he would have laughed at that if her words didn’t upset him as much as they did:” Come on. You must be feeling all arrogant about it- getting all the awards us better bands didn’t.”
Y/N chuckles dryly and takes another sip:” But you’re not.” She notices how his cheeks turn red in bitterness. It was almost too easy. “You guys are alright.”
She feels how around her some people are beginning to look their way, after all, it’s not typical to see an Oasis singer talk to a Blur bassist. Everyone is well aware of how the two brothers feel about their rival band.
Y/N takes a pack of cigarettes from her purse and puts one in between her red-painted lips. The anger is practically radiating off of Liam at this point. “Just alright? We’re better than alright. You’re just delusional.”, his angry gaze shifts to the cigarettes. He scoffs again, but can’t help himself:” Can I have one?”
It makes the woman chuckle in response and without letting out another word she hands him the pack and a lighter. She observes him as he takes one out and lights it up. There is a moment of stillness between the two, and when they make eye contact again there’s an emotion in Liam’s eyes that Y/N can’t quite read.
“You know.”, he lets out a sigh that could be perceived as defeat:” You’re a lot more tolerable than I thought you’d be.” It almost makes her laugh:” Am I supposed to say thank you?” Liam rolls his eyes but there is a hint of a smile forming on his lips: “You’re not supposed to say anything, love. I’m being serious. You’re not half as annoying as your little band is.” He exhales the smoke and watches how it vanishes in the air.
“What an honor.”, Y/N says:” The great Liam Gallagher thinks im not entire shite.”
“Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up. But you know we make the better music.”, he takes another drag of his cigarette. Leaning against the bar he orders himself a new beer. “I’ve been trying to talk to Damon for months now, he always brushes me off.”
At that, Liam’s eyes widen and he narrowly leans forward, looking like a shark who smelt fresh blood:” So you agree with me.” The grin is primarily predatory.
“Not entirely.”
“What do you mean, not entirely? Either you agree with me, Princess. Or you don’t.”
“First of all, don’t call me Princess, you arrogant prick.”, her voice is angry, however, Liam catches a glimpse of a tiny grin forming on her features. But it quickly disappears behind the champagne glass:” I am not drunk enough to deal with someone as pissed as you!” “I’m not pissed, Princess. I’m just saying we were robbed.” “Please. You’re so pissed, it’s making me pissed.”
Liam takes a deep breath, almost as if he was trying to steady himself:” I don’t know why I am still talking to you.” At that, Y/N just chuckles drily. Does he really think, that she hasn’t noticed the way he was staring at her all night? “Well, then go. You came to me.”
The singer studies her for a second and opens his mouth to say something in return, but gets cut off by Damon’s voice. He is yelling her name from somewhere and Y/N twists her head to look for him. Once she spots him she sighs and quickly opens her purse:” One last thing before I leave.” She takes out her pen and snatches Liam’s forearm. With one swift movement, she signs her name on his skin:” For our number 1 fan.” She chuckles softly before vanishing into the crowd.
“No, wait.”, Liam calls out but she is already gone. His eyes move down to the writing on his arm, his fingers are softly moving over the ink. He takes another drag of his cigarette and shakes his head in disbelief, however, he can’t shake this new feeling off of him. He was still pissed about her band and their wins. But she… she has a smart mouth, is drop-dead gorgeous, and is a damn good bassist. He hates her already.
An hour later Y/N crosses her arms and places her head on Damon’s shoulders. Currently, Brad Pitt is talking something about something and it is possibly the most monotonous thing in the entire world.
“Who the hell ya’ staring’ at?” Liam can’t help but cringe slightly at the sound of his brother’s voice, who is now standing beside him. “None of your business, mate.”, he mutters, rather angrily. But Noel shakes his head:” Bullshit! I know that look. You ogling the bassist of Blur again, weren’t ya’?” Noel raises an eyebrow:” Thought you hated that band.”
“I do hate that band, she’s just- different.”
“Yeah, different because you think she’s fit, mate.”
Liam’s eyes widen at his brother’s bluntness and he furrows his eyebrows. He suddenly feels extremely exposed. Y/N sighs and lifts her head before scanning the room for the exit sign and quickly making her way toward it. People in the crowd attempt to stop her in hopes of getting to speak to her, but she just brushes them off.
“You’re going after her, or what?”
Liam glances at his brother before lighting up a new cigarette:” What d’ya mean? I’m not going to follow her around like some abandoned puppy. I ain’t going to chase her, you wanker.” Noel laughs at that:” Oh come on. Don’t lie to me, mate. You’re obsessed with her, go on. Follow her.”
Liam swallows thickly. He does want to follow her, there was no denying it. He wants to continue their discussion, listen to her snarky tone, and see that smart mouth in action again. Noel watches how his brother throws the cigarette into the nearest ashtray before wordlessly making his way toward the exit as well.

Running for your Love
Tumblr media

Characters: Vampire!reader, Damon Salvatore, Katherine Pierce (Katerina Petrova)
Warnings: Blood, half blood sharing, hunters, stakes, almost dying, Damon being Damon, surprise Katherine appearance bc why not, Damon snapping someone's neck, classis oblivious mystic falls residents
Word Count: 793
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You roll your eyes, slamming the glass down on the bar top, tired of his attitude. “You know it may not matter to you, but it matters to me you ass,” you say, walking out of the Mystic Grill.
Damon rolls his eyes, knowing you’re right (and he’s just being an ass) so he continues to drink his bourbon.
“You know you could be a little nicer seeing as you love her and all,” the female says, sitting beside him.
He doesn’t have to turn to see who it is, the voice is enough. “What the hell do you want Katherine?”
She shrugs. “Nothing. I got all I needed from that.”
“Are you here to tell me how pathetic I’m being?”
“No,” she starts off. “I’m here to tell you to get off your ass and go after her.”
“Really?” He turns in his seat, needing to see her face as she talks. “You care about my love life? I find that hard to believe.”
She lets out a quiet chuckle and shakes her head. “Not yours. Hers.”
“Why?”
“We were friends once upon a time, believe it or not. I’d like to think that’s still true even if everyone thinks I’m a bitch.”
“Aren’t you?”
She smirks. “I’m not disagreeing with you, but you should think hard about go after her.”
He pushes himself off the stool and rushes out the door, searching for you. He turns the corner at the sound of someone struggling and finds you in a fight with a hunter.
He rushes closer and pulls the guy off you, snapping his neck. He sighs before rushing to you. “Are you okay?” Damon cups your cheeks, checking you over, wanting to make sure you’re okay.
Your face scrunches in pain as the small piece of wood travels closer and closer to your heart. “No.”
“What is it?”
“It,” your head bounces against the brick wall. You lose your breath. “A piece of his stake is moving and I-” You don’t think you can describe it anymore, the pain becoming more and more unbearable. He nods, hands stopping on your shoulders.
“Okay, okay. Where is it right now?”
You clench your jaw, shaking your head.
“Hey, hey.” He places his hands on your back your cheeks, forcing you to focus on something other than your pain. “I know it hurts, I know it does but I need you to focus on this and tell me where it is so I can help.”
You take a deep breath, “just- it’s close to my heart. I need you to get it.”
“I know, I am but I need you to do something for me.”
“What?” You groan.
“Don’t scream.”
You open your mouth to ask why but he covers it as his other hand slowly inches into your chest.
It takes him a few tries but eventually he gets it. “It’s out. It’s out, I got it.” He tosses it to the side, checking you over once more. “Are you okay?”
“Better now that I’m not on the verge of dying, for real this time.”
“We’re joking now?”
“Oh, so you can almost die like a million times and be sarcastic, but I can’t this one time.”
“I’m not- I don’t do that.” You scoff, attempting to take a step forward, only to almost fall.
“Hey, hey. Woah, woah.” He catches you, adjusting his hold on you so his arm is around your waist to keep you upright. “Did you drink anything today?”
You don’t respond.
“I told you if you ever run out, all you need to do is call me and I’ll be there.”
“I’m fine.”
“If collapsing from lack of blood is fine, then you’re it.”
You roll your eyes. “Okay, geez.”
He bites his wrist and offers it to you.
You push him away. “No.”
“It’s better than you pass out, just- work with me.”
“Damon, I’m not drinking your blood. That’s a sacred thing. I can’t.”
“That’s blood sharing and it’s fine. If I had anything in my car, I’d offer it, but I don’t.” He sighs, “please just-”
“Fine, it’ll make you happy.”
He smirks before biting his wrist, inching it closer to you.
You gently grab it and sink your fangs into his wrist.
He closes his eyes until the pain settles and returns his attention to you.
Once you feel better, you shove his wrist away before the temptation becomes stronger. “Thanks,” you wipe your chin using the back of your hand.
“Don’t let this happen again.”
You roll your eyes and start walking away. “Okay.”
He follows after you and wraps his arm around your waist, leading you to the car.
"Is this a blood bag?"
"Nope, don't know what that is."
"Damon!"

JUST FIVE MORE MINUTES
(DAMONXWITCH!READER):
⚫️summary; You had know Damon & Stefan for over 100 years and have been secretly seeing Damon since he got back to Mystic Falls, You being there already with Stefan just made it easier for him to be near her & to enjoy himself with You. However, him letting his guard down to the only person that he’s ever truly loved? A bit dangerous.
⚠️warnings; smutty, implied smut, horny!Damon because why not, swearing, implied nakedness, blood, etc. 18+ ONLY!!
The sheet draped over your bare body as Damon drew shapes on your legs. You stirred in your sleep as the after effects of the long night prior came to light. Body sore in the best way possible, his touch so familiar yet still sent shocks through you.
“Damon. Mmm.” You hummed as he mimicked the noise that escaped you.
“Yes Princess?” His signature smirk crawled onto his face as his eyes found their way to yours. You laid there for a moment, taking in the perfectly chiseled features he had been blessed with until a knock interrupted you both. Stefan.
“Hey Y/n! Time to go if you wanna make first period!” He shouted as he made his way back to his room down the hall.
“Got it! Thanks! Shit shit shit. I missed my alarm. I gotta go.” You pulled the sheet to cover yourself as you frantically searched for anything to wear. But, little to your dismay your body was suddenly under Damons once again, air knocked out of your lungs as he kissed your so softly yet with such hunger.
“Da- Hey! I have to go! You heard him i’m gonna miss first period if I don’t hurry.” You struggled to get out as Damon planted kisses down your neck and chest.
“Just five more minutes baby, please. You know I hate begging.” He mumbled against your skin. Your hands found their way into his raven locks as he found his way down your torso.
“Okay enough! I seriously have to go now and if we just end up fucking again, i’ll never leave this bed.” You said a bit harshly. He leaned back holding his head above yours.
“Fucking? You do know I don’t just
fuck you right, Y/n?” He sounded somewhat offended in a sense & you sat up to face him.
“Well isn’t that what we do? Just a couple of friends who have been friends with benefits for over a hundred years?” He scoffed getting up to grab a blood bag from the mini fridge in your room. You had conveniently put it there for him specifically. He sighed as he finished and turned to you. A bit of blood still on his chin.
“Damon? Are you okay?” You already knew the answer but never expected for his response to end the way it did.
“Let’s see Y/n. The girl I have been in love with for over a hundred years thinks I only fuck her for fun and doesn’t notice that I give myself to her entirely. So no, I am not okay.” He sits on the edge of the bed, head hanging low as he somewhat regrets the erratic confession he had just made.
“The girl you’re in love with huh? Well. Does the guy i’m in love with know that there’s no one else i’ve ever laid with and let touch me the way he does? Does he not notice the ways I have even made it easier for him to stay longer? The bite marks on my body from him that I adore every time I look in the mirror the morning after?” Silence fell as he was now sitting up straight, head filling with thoughts he had never had.
“Does he know how passionately I love him while he lays between my legs with his head in my chest? Or how a fire builds when his fingers dance on my skin? How about this. When I lay here and pray to every god out there that he whispers that he loves me back so I can finally call him mine?” He turns to you and goes to say something but before he can, you connect your lips to his.
“I do. Mmm. Of course I love you. God!” He says between breaths. Lips melting into one another as you lay back into the huge comforter.
“Skip class for me? Stay with me longer, I don’t want this to end.” He begged you as he laid on your bare chest. Your hands finding his only to have him interlock your fingers.
“How could I say no to you after what just happened? Of course i’m staying Damon. Forever.” You said as he smiled back up at you, lifting you up into his lap earning a fit of giggles from you. Safe to say you never made it to school and Stefan had a hell of a time learning the news when he got home.
ENJOYYY!!!

BR0KEN COLORS & YBG HEADCANONS (P1)
~~~~~~~~ A/N: This post is being made because whilst I was looking through Br0ken colors headcanons for Rasmus for...No particular reason (I SIMP YES IT IS TRUE ToT). Anyways, this is going to be a mash up of all sorts of characters from both Your Boyfriend and Br0ken Colors!
Mentions: both games have possessive stalkers so...bare in mind this will have HEAVY gore, mentions of sexual interactions, stalking, characters kinks, obsessiveness, possessiveness, stockholm syndrome if you SQUINT hard enough, GN!Reader, and murder.
! ALL ART USED FOR CHARACTERS IS NOT MINE AND BELONGS TO THE ARTIST/ORIGINAL CREATOR !
~~~~~~~
Damon:
Tumblr media
Oh my fucking god- How do I start? Uh- Well, he is...OUTRAGEOUSLY smitten for you.
I mean, this man has left roses at your doorstep every single day, morning and night. When you leave for work and when you come back, there's always, ALWAYS, a rose.
The only reason he KNOWS where you live is due to DG. He begged DG to give your address to him so he could...leave gifts.
He has a whole wall dedicated to photos of you, items of yours, your FAVORITE items, and even a bit of clothing.
When he interacted with you, he was bright red. Red as can be from just SEEING you in his flower shop.
He made it his POINT to get to know you. Well...pretend to get to know you.
Assuming you're COMPLETELY oblivious to him stalking you, ect, he takes you out on 'dates' on the regular.
DG helps keep track of all the people you interact with.
This helps Damon know who he needs to take out. That one guy from the convenience store? He went missing a LONG time ago.
Once he finally gets to dates you, oh lord...
He has done ANYTHING for you. Top, Bottom, BOTH! Anything.
However he only did it on ONE condition.
You let him carve his name on your body. Could be ANYWHERE.
He loves seeing the crimson run down your body, it's a gorgeous color on you.
BITE. HIM. OMFG IT WILL MAKE THIS MAN WEAK IN THE KNEES!! Mark him UP with bites. All over him, he loves to show them off.
Dominate him. He will call you mommy, daddy, baby, ANYTHING.
Whimpers so FUCKING much.
He gives or receives, either way, HAIR PULLING. If you're into it, he'll yank your hair back, if not though he'll be soft with his touch. Pull his hair as HARD as you want, he'll go fucking feral.
"Mmh...You taste like heaven...Pull my hair harder lovie, I can take it...I love it when you push me around~ "
Rasmus:
Tumblr media
LAWD...You either got bullied by him, OR he met you at a party. Either way, he was down. Down BAD.
Once dating, he seeks CONSTANT affection when alone.
PDA is ok, but keep it to a minimal of cheek kisses and hand holding, that's about it.
But the moment you two are behind closed doors, he's ALL over you.
Whether that be him just venting about his step-mother and the pressure his father is (albeit not TRYING to) putting on him.
Run your fingers through his hair and he'll melt like putty in your arms.
He's a thigh guy, NOBODY IS CHANGING MY MIND ON THIS I WILL THROW HANDS OVER THIS! (jk obviously)
He fucking loves piercings, on you OR him. He adores them, he thinks they're hot and a sign of 'independence'.
He will take you to lingerie stores and help pick out lingerie with you, with ZERO shame.
He isn't obsessive like Damon or DG, but he is protective. It can be overbearing sometimes, ESPECIALLY when you drive.
Due to what happened with his mother, he doesn't like when you drive by yourself. He wouldn't live with himself knowing you could get hurt.
He isn't one to be topped, but ask him to top you and oh lord you'll get that and SO much more.
He'd pile drive into you in front of a mirror, just to humiliate and fluster you.
You've met his dad but he has yet to introduce you to his step-mother...
You better bet your happy ass he's using his claws on you. He definitely uses his iron claws when he's feeling extremely antsy.
Gentle sex is a thing with him, he loves both rough and gentle sex equally.
He'll let you BE on top and ride him, but don't expect him to be submissive.
Demisexual! (according to his character page!)
"Taking me so fucking well...Wonder how long it'll take before you pass out gorgeous...You think you can stay awake a bit longer~? "
Peter:
Tumblr media
It's Peter.
I dunno what you want from me-
He's as psychotic as they get girlies, boys, all the in between and above.
HOOOOOWEVER...
Jk there's no HOWEVER.
He has every article of clothing. T-shirt, pants, sweatpants, shorts, undergarments, fucking EVERYTHING. At least, one of each.
Shockingly, it's all your favorites (it's not very shocking is it?).
He does it because it's the clothing you wear the most, and though it's OBVIOUS and could get him CAUGHT, but lord...He loves your smell. Addicted to it, even.
Smother him. Like it or not, you're his. It sucks for a bit, but you should learn to get used to him.
He purrs, constantly around you.
He also cuddles you everyday when you wake up and when you fall asleep.
Expect breakfast in bed and dinner! You never have to lift a finger around the house, he does it all for you.
Sex with Peter is...strange.
On one hand, he can be loving, romantic, and gentle, prioritizing your pleasure.
On the other hand, if he's feeling particularly jealous, he'll pile drive into you till the both of you are tearing up from overstimulation.
He's carved your name onto his chest, and carved his name into your chest, or stomach.
He's down to try anything with you. ANYTHING.
He's more than happy to get topped by you, he loves the thought of you taking control over him.
Don't call him Peter in bed, use pet names like 'baby' or 'honey', or something along the lines of that. With him hating his name, it doesn't end well.
Granted he kinda likes hearing his name from you, but not during sex. He likes pet names better, kinky or not.
"C'mon baby one more? Let me tear one more orgasm from that pretty body from yours...I love the way you squeal and squirm~ "

↳ When Klaus first saw you in the Mystic Grill. He was instantly in love, he thought you were the most beautiful woman his ever seen.
↳ Soon later he began following you around. Following you home, to school, and while you shop. Wherever you where he was there. Yet, he never once approached you he just kept a safe distance. He justified his actions as protecting you.
↳ He even compelled your guardian/roommate to invite him into your house so he’ll be able to keep a eye on you at night. He’ll sneak into your room and watch you sleep. He was mesmerized with every little the about you.
↳ He left little gifts in your room like jewelry, clothes, perfume, and more. You’ll wake up in the morning and see a bouquet of roses with a emerald necklace beside the roses.
↳ Of course you were terrified by someone being in your house without you knowing, yet you were determined to find out who was leaving you these gifts. When you went to question your (compelled) guardian/roommate who told you it was from a man named Klaus. You had feeling it was that guy you kept seeing everywhere you go. You knew it couldn’t have been a coincidence that he was always at the same place as you.
↳ So one day when you were out shopping you saw him in the same alley as you so you decided to approach him. You were cautious to not come off too aggressively since you didn’t know him at all and didn’t know how he’ll react so simply asked him if he was stalking you.
↳ He couldn’t help but crack a smile. He was relieved that you were the first to approach him even if you were accusing him of being a stalker (which he is). He simply explained he just wanted to take you on a date but didn’t know how to ask you. And that’s how your relationship began.
↳ Klaus is impulsive so your relationship with him moves very fast. He isn’t used to caring for someone or having someone care for him so he needs constant reassurance that you’ll never leave him.
↳ He says ' I love you ' early into the relationship and if you don’t say you love him or even think about expect him blow up on you. He’ll accuse you of not caring for him or wanting to leave him. Which you have to shut down the accusations quick unsure of what he’ll do when his angry.
↳ Klaus is extremely jealous and obsessive. His desperate for you attention and your giving your attention to someone else he won’t hesitate to kill the poor soul who dared to intrude in your relationship. Even if it’s a close friend of your he wouldn’t think twice to compel them to end their friendship with you so you’ll run back to him.
↳ He has what seems like hundreds of paintings and drawings of you. Some of them you were posing and majority of the paintings were something he did in his free time since he couldn’t get you off his mind.
↳ The secret of him being a hybrid came out, you couldn’t help but feel a bit scared. And it didn’t help that you found out by Damon and Stefan telling you all about the terrifying thing Klaus has done and why you should stay away from him.
↳ You confronted him about everything expect him to manipulate you into thinking him being a hybrid is a good thing and that all those people his hurt deserved it. He’ll go on to tell that he will always be able to protect you no matter what.
↳ When he went after Stefan and Damon for trying break the two of you apart, he would have killed the two brothers if it wasn’t for Elijah telling him otherwise.
↳ After this incident he demanded you move in with him. He wanted you to depend on him for you every need. Whenever you need or want something he wants you to always come to him for anything. And he won’t hesitate to use your weaknesses or fear to get whatever he wants from him.

Part 6
Kid Salvatore reader x Stefan Salvatore x Damon Salvatore
Warnings: mentions of torture, swearing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They then headed back to the boarding house to where Damon and Katherie are.
When you guys got inside the house, the first thing everyone hears is Katherine and Damon fighting about a functional way to find you.
"Guys shut up your going to wake y/n up!" Caroline said, getting the twos attention.
Damon was the first to speak up, "Where did you find her?"
"She found Jeremy in school and went over to him" Elena explained.
From all the talking you started to squirm, waking up. You lifted your head up and looked around, when you turned your arm rubbed harshly against Stefan's jacket emitting a whimper from you. It scraped right against the first place where Klaus touched you with vervain.
Speaking of Klaus when he woke up, as soon as he got dressed he went downstairs only to see that you weren't there anymore and escaped during the night. He started throwing furniture around, angry. Eventually he went down to the basement and un-daggered Elijah and Rebekah since there's no point having them daggered anymore cause your gone.
"What happened to you?" Damon asked and came up to you, inspecting all the burns but being really gentle about it.
"Mean 'erson hurt me" you mumbled back.
You then noticed Katherine standing behind Damon and your eyes lit up. "Kafrine" you reached out grabby hands for her.
She came over and gently took you into her arms from Stefan's. Damon looked offended, it was really hard for everyone not to start laughing at him. "I am offended she chose Kitty Kat right there over me. Her own brother" Damon said, playfully glaring at you.
You adorably smiled at him then started to play with Katherine's curls. "You are lucky your cute" Damon said and went to pour himself a drink.
He turned to all the girls; Bonnie, Elena, Caroline. "Don't even think about it you three and you two don't even start" he pointed to Jeremy and Tyler who were about to say something.
"Hung'y" you whispered into Katherine's ear while Damon was telling off everyone.
"Okay y/n/n do you want a blood bag or my blood?" Katherine whispered back, making you smile.
"You, p'ease" you answered.
Katherine moved her hair out of the way for you to drink from her neck. You slowly sank your tiny, cute fangs into her and started to drink from her.
"I'm going to kill Klaus" Damon raged, starting to head for the door.
"Don't even think about it" Stefan said before Damon could take another step. He thought about it for a second then started to walk again before Katherine started to talk.
"Damon if you take one more step to that fucking door I will kick your ass so hard you won't be able to sit for a week" Katherine threatened him from where she was now sitting with you on her lap still drinking her blood, slowly.
"Damon c'mon" Stefan said, knowing Katherine will actually follow through with that action.
Damon walked towards the couch and sat down, glaring at everyone in the room who was also now sitting. "So what your telling me is that son of a bitch can kidnap our sister and I can't do anything about it? No revenge?! because trust me he deserves it" Damon exclaimed, furious.
"How about we wait until we know y/n is okay before planning some psychotic revenge plan your probably thinking of right now" Bonnie said, who was sitting next to him.
"Fine Bon Bon, but I'm holding you to that" he said.
You stopped drinking Katherine's blood and by now most of the burn marks are gone except for a couple still on your arms but they'll heal soon enough. You were staring at the drink in Damon's hand that he got just now. It's obviously bourbon but you can't exactly tell the difference of alcohol or not.
Damon noticed where you were looking. "Do you want some?" He asked you.
You slightly nodded and climbed down from Katherine's lap, going over to him. "Damon no, she's four" Elena said but Damon to no avail didn't listen and brought the glass up to your slightly parted lips.
Everyone didn't stop him because they all knew what the outcome of this was most likely to be and it was you spitting it out. Damon poured some into your mouth and sat the glass down onto the coffee table. As soon as you tasted it you spat it all out right onto Damon's lap, making a disgusted face.
"Sowwy Damy, don' wike dat" you apologized and pointed at the substance in the glass he put down.
"Umm, it's okay y/n/n. I'll be back I'm going to go put on pants that aren't stained with alcohol" Damon said and went upstairs to his room.
You turned to where Bonnie's sitting and started to play around with her fingers. After a bit she lifted you onto her lap so you didn't have to keep reaching up to her hands.
When Damon came back down Stefan was already checking your arms and face where there are still a bit of traces from where Klaus hurt you. You whimpered when he touched a certain place where you were burned with vervain on your upper arm close to your shoulder. But other than that everything looked fine and should heal soon.
"Okay everything looks good but watch out for this burn mark just in case. I put a plaster on it but still be careful about it" Stefan said standing up again.
"So she's alright nothing serious right?" Damon asked sort of getting eager to everyone's dismay, knowing of what's going to come from him.
"Yeah......why?" Stefan asked his brother in return.
Damon didn't answer and just turned over to where Tyler and Jeremy were arm wrestling at the arm of the couch they were at.
"Hey you two idiots over there" he said getting both of their attention.
"Yeah?" They both asked at the same time.
"How would you guys like to go and hunt a certain hybrid with me?" Damon smirked at them.
"Sure why not?" Tyler said and Jeremy responded with; "awesome, I'm in."
"No to both of you" Alaric said walking in the room and making the two boys sit down again.
"Wait school isn't over yet" Caroline pointed out.
"I excused myself saying it was a family emergency. The whole reason I left though was because of Damon and his teenage girl hormones when this stuff happens" Alaric said, making all of them laugh at your oldest brother.
"Oh come on he DESERVES it" Damon exclaimed.
"Yes he does but let's wait a bit first" He told his best friend and drinking buddy.
Damon just rolled his eyes and sat back down next to Bonnie again. "Okay you guys might want to stop speaking about k-i-l-l-i-n-g people in front of her" Bonnie informed, nodding down to where you were now leaning back against her dozing off.
"Seriously? You think she doesn't know how to spell" Tyler pointed out at how Bonnie spelled out the word 'killing'.
"Okay then. y/n what was the word I spelt out the last time I talked" Bonnie asked, looking down at where you were looking up at her.
"I don' know. Candy?!" You said expectantly but Bonnie shook her head and you leaned back, saddened now.
Eventually though you did fall asleep ending with the top half of your thumb in your mouth. Bonnie tried to pull your thumb out but stopped after you started to wake up again.
“So what exactly did Klaus do to her?” Alaric asked after Bonnie came back downstairs from laying you down in your bed.
You, Damon, and Bonnie have made a deal. Neither will kill Kai, as long as you can help the witch settle into a new life in Mystic Falls. Those are the terms made, and boy, are they hard to get.
“You can’t fix him, Y/N. He’s beyond fucked up,” Bonnie scoffs, “and I don’t want to be partly responsible if I were to make some crazy deal with you that goes wrong.”
“I just want him to try and have a normal life, Bon. He spent twenty years in an abusive household and another twenty years in isolation. He has no idea what normalcy is.”
“By the sound of that, he’s too far gone for you to even try.”
“Just give me a chance to work with him!”
“I don’t even like you being with him! He’s going to hurt you, and I don’t want that to happen to you.”
“I haven’t given him a reason to hurt me, Bon.”
“He doesn’t need a reason. He just does things.”
“Well, in that case, I’ve given him a reason not to hurt me. I’m the only one willing to try and help him adjust.”
“Y/N-”
“I see the point you’re making, Y/N,” Damon interrupts his best friend, “but are you really going to put all this work in for him? Seriously?”
“Yes! I don’t get why you guys are so against this. I’m helping you out; I’m giving you one less person to worry about that could raise hell in this town.”
“He already has-”
“Bonnie, please.”
“It would be easier to just kill him.”
“Bonnie!”
“Look at him! He’s plotting right now! No one is quiet for that long unless they’re plotting something.”
You sigh and turn to follow her gaze. Kai is sitting on a barstool, in the room of the boarding house that’s surrounded by windows, watching snow fall.
“He’s just observing!”
“Sure he is.”
“And he’s probably trying to tune out this conversation, too. I’d be, if people were talking about me, and two of them wanted to kill me.”
Bonnie gives you a hard glare.
“Four months,” Damon says suddenly.
“What?”
“You have four months to get him settled.”
“Don’t give me a deadline. It took you longer than four months to stop killing people when you got back to town. And the only reason you did is because Elena finally fell for you. But then every time she dumps you, you kill people again.”
“Thanks for the summary.”
“My point is, I might need longer than four months. I can start with the killing stuff first, teach him he can’t do that, but getting him on his feet might be some work.”
“Easy. Pull the chair out, he’ll figure it out.”
“Damon-”
“I know what you meant. Fine. Six months max. If he’s still (A) killing people, (B) in my house every time I come down for a cup of coffee, or (C) a complete and utter basket-case, by that time, then he’s,” Damon makes the gesture of a throat being slit, “done. No more killing, no more kidnapping, no more terrorizing. Got it?”
“Fine.” You roll your eyes at his insistent face. “Got it.”
“In return, I, nor Bonnie, will kill him unless you take longer or he goes off the rails.”
“You guys do you know you can’t kill him, right? If he dies, so does Jo, so does Liv. Alaric will never speak to you ever again.”
Damon hesitates, but Bonnie already seemed to have an answer to that prepared. “Don’t think I won’t toss him back into 1994, or make a new prison world entirely, if I need to.”
“Bonnie-”
“But if you think you have him under control, you don’t need to worry about that now, do you?”
You sigh, then look over to Kai. He’s still turned towards the window, but you don’t doubt he’s listening. “No, I don’t.” You straighten your posture. “And you won’t need to worry about him, either.”
“Alright, Ms. Confident,” Damon mocks, “guess we have a deal. You have six months to get that weasel somehow adjusted to real life, and we won’t kill him, or throw him in a prison world.”
“Nor will you antagonize him for fun, Damon, which I know you like to do.”
“I do not-”
“Mason Lockwood. John Gilbert. T-”
“Alright! Fine. Bonnie and I will stay out of your way while you work on your little project.”
“I’m going to prove to you he can be good. Just mind your own business while I do it.”
“Fine.”
“Deal?”
“Deal.”
Two minutes later, you gather Kai and hurry out the door.
“Did you hear all that?”
“Yeah. I’m on thin fucking ice.”
“Mhm.” You then grab his arm before he can slip on real ice right outside the boarding house.
The pair gave you a rather strict set of rules to follow, and Kai’s surprised you didn’t give up on him just hearing the terms. He makes sure to thank you on your way to the Grill, where you’re headed for coffee. He hopes he sounds genuine, but still tends to struggle with that stuff sometimes. You, being the loving person you are, give him a smile and a kiss to the cheek in return. You then walk hand-in-hand to the restaurant, where you plan to carefully explain a few places you’ll help him start.
Two coffees and a lava cake later, you catch his attention.
“So, this is a bad example.”
“What do you mean?” He looks up at you, chocolate syrup dripping from the side of his lip.
You reach out to wipe it off, then lick it off your own finger. Kai then wipes off the rest with his napkin, the little that you missed. He smiles at your lack of hesitancy to reach out to him.
“It’s like, five o’clock-ish, and our dinner shouldn’t be dessert-”
“This is your influence. I fed myself properly when I was locked up.”
“Oh really?” You ask with a sarcastic tone.
“Yeah, actually, I did. And in fact, the first time I met you, you were in this very same seat, with Caroline, eating a lava cake.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “Fine.”
He smirks at his win.
“So you cook. You need somewhere to do it.”
“Like?”
“An apartment, maybe?”
“I can just move in with you.”
You bite your lip. You love Kai, but you’ve only been dating for three months. Of course, he’s spent days and slept over before, but it might be too early for the ‘moving in together’ stage. “You could,” you start, “or we could find you an apartment close-by. So you can get a little bit of autonomy, figure things out for yourself. Have a place to get away, if you need.”
“I don’t think I’d need to get away from you,” he chuckles.
“I certainly hope you won’t, but, I don’t know, I think it’ll be good for you to have your own place. Just for a little while.”
“Do you not want to live with me?”
“No, that’s not what I’m saying! I’d love to, but it might be just a little too early for that. And I really think you’d benefit from having your own space. I’ll help pay rent for the first few months. Well, unless you want to go to college? Live in a dorm?”
“At Whitmore?”
“Anywhere.”
“But you live here.”
“Yes.”
“And you’re not in college.”
“No.” You’re not sure where he’s taking this.
“I don’t want to be away from you. I don’t even want to live away from you.”
“You live away from me now.”
“That’s different. At least in the boarding house, there’s people.”
“People who have no qualms about killing you, Kai. What’s this actually about?”
“I don’t want to be alone!” He finally admits. A few people look over from the shout, but you wave them off. “I was alone for eighteen years, I can’t take it anymore!”
“Kai, there are other people in apartments, too.”
“But not in the same room! They’re all in locked doors. I’ve seen plenty of shows. Besides, what if the time away makes you not want to be with me anymore?”
“What?!” You ask, genuinely surprised.
“You’re the only person that cares about me. What if space apart makes you not?”
“Baby, that’s not going to happen. I’m not going to stop loving you just because you move into an apartment.” You lower your voice, recognizing your conversation has an audience of three old men. “We’re apart now,” you repeat, “and I still love you. A couple minutes apart, even less time than our distance now, isn’t going to change that.”
“I still don’t want to be alone, Y/N.”
“Tell you what… we’ll find you one in the same building that I’m in, maybe even the same floor. We’ll be two minutes apart at most. You can come find me at any time; I’ll give you a key.” You reach out to take his hand. “When we’re dating for longer, we can talk about moving in together, but for now, I really want you to try living on your own. Please? We have to prove to Damon and Bon that you can, or you know what they’ll do. Do it for me, so I can keep you safe, okay?”
Kai bites his lip. “Okay. Same floor.”
“I think the woman across the hall is moving out anyway.”
He nods.
“Besides, I don’t want you too far from me, either.” You wink. “Who else is going to cook for me?”
He smiles at your first comment, but at the second, pushes your hand playfully. “See, you admit I can cook.”
“Never said you couldn’t!” You pause. “So that’s a definite ‘no’ on the college thing?”
He nods. “First of all, you wouldn’t be there. Second, I don’t care for the college experience that’s so hyped up in movies. Third, I’ve read thousands of books while being locked up. If I wanted to study one thing really intently, I either already have, or I would’ve.”
“Okay then.” Obviously, his mind is made up. “Sounds good.”
You both eat a few more bites of the cake, then he crinkles his nose. “I know you’re gonna say it sooner or later, so I might as well ask now… are you gonna make me get a job?”
The cynical look on his face makes you want to laugh, but you manage to hold it in. “Yep.”
“Crap.”
“It doesn’t have to be something crazy. Hell, you could work here. Be a bartender or something.”
“Do I have to work with people?”
“I thought you just said you want to be around people?”
“Not stupid people, though. Y’know, like the what-you-call-Karen types that would make me want to wring their neck.”
You chuckle. “Baby, that’s a type of person difficult to avoid. Any job is gonna have its fair share of annoying people. Unless you deliver mail, or something.”
“What’s that require?”
“Valid driver’s license.”
“I have one of those.”
“Valid?”
“Made it myself, but it got me through airport security.”
You sigh. “Can you drive?”
“Yes. Taught myself.”
“Would you pass a test?”
“I don’t know. But I drove BonBon from Mystic Falls to Portland without killing her.”
“Lower your voice when you say stuff like that!” You warn again, waving off a man.
Kai seems to ignore you. “Though half of that trip, we did fly…”
“You flew a plane?”
“Had eighteen years to learn!”
“Okay. Let’s get off this topic. You spend so much time in this grill, it might be a good place to start. As long as you show up, do your best, and don’t,” you lower your own voice, “spike people’s drinks for fun-”
“I would never!” He fakes offense.
“-I think you’d be good.”
The boy takes a sip of his coffee. “Fine. Just for you, I’ll try it.”
“Great! I’ll talk to Matt.”
“Ugh.”
“And don’t mention that you killed the manager, because they never found out who did that.”
“Noted.”
“And he’s besties with the Sheriff.”
“Great. You don’t want me to work here for an extra set of eyes on me, do you?”
“No, ‘course not. You’re my sole responsibility, I don’t want Matt involved at all. I just think you’d be a good bartender.”
“Okay.”
“And you like it here, so you might be more comfortable here.”
“What are the odds you could work here, too?”
“I have a job.”
“You could quit it and work here.”
“Kai…”
“Fine. Talk to Matt.”
“Okay.” You stand up to find the other boy. “Stay here.” You kiss his head as you pass him, then head to the bar.
Kai stares into his coffee while you wait by the bar. He likes the Grill, but doesn’t know about working in it. The customers around him are often annoying, and he doubts his ability to remain patient with them. Still, you made a deal to keep him safe, and if his two little prison world friends are going to uphold their end, the two of you have to keep yours. He sighs, then turns to find you. You’ve caught hold of Matt, but as you seem to explain the situation, he rolls his eyes. Kai bites his lip. He has to make this work, for you, even if he doubts his own ability to fit into the world.
As you turn to look at him, he looks away abruptly. A minute later, you return to your seat.
“How’d it go?”
“He’s gonna give you a chance… on one condition.”
“Which is?”
“If I’ll work here, too.”
The boy’s eyes light up. “Really? I thought you said I should do it myself.”
“Well then scratch that. It’ll be more fun together anyway.”
Kai smiles before growing serious again. “So apartment, job… anything else to cover?”
You’re quiet for a moment. There’s a lot more to cover, but you’ve just tackled two of the biggest factors when it comes to normalcy, and you don’t want to overload the poor boy. So instead of bringing anything else up, you shrug. “We can tackle it later. For now, let’s finish this cake.”
Grateful, he nods. He knows, not only from Bonnie and Damon, that there’s a lot more expected of him than just housing and working. He’s lucky he has someone that understands that. “Okay.”
“Okay,” you reply back.
*****
For the next couple nights, Kai stays with you until you can secure a room for him in your apartment complex. Turns out Ms. Mary White had moved out just recently - wanted to find a complex with fewer stairs - and Kai would be able to move in by the end of the week.
Of course, that process doesn’t come without its own issues. A key piece of information required for renting an apartment is proof of one’s identity. When Kai is asked to present his, he stares blankly at your landlord.
“Uh, I think my father has it in the attic of my childhood home.”
“Well can you call him?”
“He probably burned it,” Kai mutters.
Your landlord’s eyes quickly widen at the same time yours do. Your boyfriend’s blunt honesty is quite fatal for the situation; your landlord does not need to know about his abusive childhood, nor the crimes Kai had committed over twenty years ago. One Google search could quite possibly open a whole can of worms you aren’t ready to contain.
In the following two seconds after that, you dial Caroline’s number.
Luckily, the vampire comes to your aid. She compels the man into forgetting both the conversation, and his need for any proof of identity. She seals his spot in the apartment, and simultaneously, in his new life.
As Caroline then helps the two of you settle in, Kai catches her attention.
“Why did you help me?”
The blonde faces him. “Well… for one, Y/N cares about you. If she sees good in you, and the ability to change, to be better, then I trust her. Two, I do owe you for helping my mom. She’s healing, slowly, ever since you siphoned the vampire’s blood out of her system, and I never fully thanked you for that. And third… I know someone like you. Someone who came to Mystic Falls, and wrecked absolute havoc, but for some reason, he had a soft spot for me. I was used in all of the plans they would make to distract or ‘neutralize’ him, and with time, it worked. He got better. He’s an ally now. A friend, even.”
“So Y/N is like you, and he’s kinda like me. You see that happening? You can see me getting better?”
“Klaus did.”
Kai swallows. It means a lot to hear someone other than Y/N have faith in him. “Thank you.”
“All I’m saying is prove them wrong. Damon’s an ass sometimes. And remember, he was the villain too, a while back.”
“I heard some stories from them back in the prison world.”
“Well they probably didn’t even cover half the stuff he did. Trust me, Damon has no room to judge.”
Kai nods.
“Text me if you guys need help with anything else. Kai, good luck. Treat Y/N well.” With a smile, she’s gone.
“Klaus,” Kai repeats.
“You’re not half as bad as Klaus,” you inform him, “killing-wise, I mean. That thing is a thousand years old and has killed probably five times more people than his age.”
“She said he got better.”
“He did. Still kills, obviously, but he is a friend to us now.”
He nods again, processing the information without replying.
You spend the rest of the evening settling him in with the little stuff he has. Most of his belongings are clothes, and whatever else is either from 1994 or stolen somewhere along the way. You have some extra furniture in your apartment, and earlier that day, bought him a comforter. It’s enough to live, and he seems fine with it. Besides, you both know he’ll be in your apartment most of the time, anyway.
*****
A couple days after that, you start your new jobs at The Grill. You’re only part time, considering you’re already a dedicated employee elsewhere, and Matt’s fine with that as long as you “watch him” at least most of the time. The boy is clearly not excited about the reformed serial killer joining his work team, but at the same time, Matt’s not one to turn down anyone looking for a fresh start.
At first, he keeps Kai in the back, away from people. A smart move while he still adjusts. He’s mostly tasked with filling drink orders and cleaning up, and only after he’s been working in the restaurant environment for a week is he actually allowed to hand people their orders. So far, he’s incident-free, but you can tell Matt is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
His heart almost stops the day he sees Damon enter on a day he has Kai serving drinks.
Matt rushes to the back, trying to find you to take over before the vampire can saunter over to the bar.
“Bourbon. Neat.” Damon says to no one in particular.
Kai swallows hard at the sound of the man’s voice, but then stands up to pour him the drink. As he passes the glass to him, Damon’s attention turns from the distant game of billiards to the unidentified bartender.
“Oh.” He blinks in surprise. “It’s you.”
“Yep, I am working here now.” Kai enunciates every word, still in disbelief that he does.
“Gotta say I’m shocked. Had any urges to kill anyone yet?”
“No, it’s been mostly tame. There was one lady the other day who was so drunk, she fell out of her chair, but that was more amusing than anything else.”
Damon snorts. Part of him wishes he could have witnessed that, but he’ll be damned if he admits that to Kai. “And her inconsiderate ways didn’t have you tempted to toss a glass at her head? Maybe you are improving.”
Kai bites his tongue. He knows Damon’s just trying to get under his skin, and the bar is too busy for him to react. Besides, one wrong move and the vampire will call off their deal.
Luckily, a heartbeat later, you pop around the corner from the kitchen.
“Hey, how’s it going?”
“Your little pet served a drink.” He takes a sip. “Ten points to Slytherin for getting my order correct.”
“Be nice, Damon. I’ve never seen you attempt to get a job.”
“Why would I need a job? I’m a vampire, if you haven’t forgotten. I don’t need money, and I don’t need to buy food-”
“Because you just eat people? Right. And you do buy food, let me remind you, and drinks, on a daily basis, which requires money. But since your nephew - whom you killed - was rich, you don’t need to work for anything. So no, you don’t need a job, but if you were born into a less rich family, you’d certainly need to, to support your hobbies.”
“Touché.”
You shrug. “I’m just sayin’.”
Damon glares at you, sips the rest down in one gulp, then spins the glass back to Kai. “Refill.”
Knowing you’ve won, you give your boyfriend a kiss to the cheek as he pours another glass. You’re halfway back to the kitchen when Damon clears his throat,
“I could report you for PDA.”
“Try me.”
He doesn’t.
That night, you praise your boyfriend for keeping his cool under the unexpected presence of Damon. Truth be told, you hadn’t even considered the man’s frequency at the restaurant when you spoke out for Kai to work there; you only thought about where he’d be most comfortable. Kai admitted he started pushing buttons, but your interference diffused the situation immediately. You give him a kiss, then snuggle into his chest, legs over his as you sit in his lap. Kai grabs you before you can get too comfortable, turning your cuddling into a make-out session. Unlike his shift at the bar earlier, things escalate pretty quickly.
*****
Weeks pass of coaxing Kai into a normal life. He’s doing well despite the cards handed to him, and you’re sure to tell him how proud you are each night. There have been a few instances where he’s yelled at customers who’ve yelled at him, and then he had to muster up an apology to them. On two occasions, you’ve traded places with him, seeing either Damon or a crowd of college kids approaching the bar. But though he’s had a few mistakes, he’s received compliments, too.
One woman, a regular, and very picky about her cocktails, told him she’s impressed with his ability, especially given his age, and that he makes some of the best drinks she’s had. She always leaves a good tip, and has made sure to tell the manager what she said to him.
Kai only gave a dimpled smile and a polite, “thank you,” and decided not to tell her he’s actually in his forties, and had nothing better to do for eighteen years than craft cocktails.
“See,” you then said to him, “I knew you’d be a good bartender. I didn’t even know you could make cocktails.”
“I couldn’t tell if she was hitting on me by the end of the night,” is all he replies.
You scrunch your eyebrows, but then widen your eyes at the fifty percent tip. “Yeah, maybe just a little.”
*****
As much progress as he’s made, he’s not done yet. Kai’s had about three months of getting on his feet, and now he has to address a big issue that both of you have been avoiding. On a calm night neither of you had work, you decide it’s now or never to bring it up.
So, laying across his lap again, you fiddle with the ring on his finger as a show you’re half-watching runs in the background. Tension builds in your shoulders as you try to form a good question. Within minutes, he can tell something’s up with you.
“What?”
“I have something to say, but you’re not gonna like it.”
“Spill.”
“So… You’ve fought hard against the fate chosen for you by your father. He didn’t think you were capable of leading the coven, so he cast you out. Made you feel like you were less of a person; of a witch, because of the way you were born.”
“Point?”
“Against all odds, you came out on top. You broke down the barriers, literally and physically, and became the leader. Now,” you pause, “you gotta lead.”
Kai swallows as if he hadn’t anticipated this aspect of his choices. That, or he never expected to get this far, and therefore, never thought about any way he’d do it. “I am,” he finally says.
“How?”
“I’m alive, aren’t I?”
“You’re telling me your father never had any specific duties he’d have to perform as leader? No responsibilities? No expectations? Nothing?”
“He had to find a wife and have a set of twins.”
“Kai-”
“I know what you mean,” he sighs. “I don’t know how I’m supposed to lead a coven! What the hell do they do? Do I have to feed them? Give them water?”
“They’re not plants, Kai. Th-”
“I know!” He pauses the TV, but luckily doesn’t try to get off the couch. “But I don’t know how I’m supposed to do that myself. I saw my dad do some of it; he’d go to meetings, and set the standards, and was there to congratulate every stupid baby ever born-”
“Kai,” you warn.
“Sorry. I just… they hate me. How am I supposed to lead them when they hate me, and frankly, I hate them, too.”
“You’re just gonna have to do your best. Don’t do exactly what your father did, but use his leadership as a guideline - whether that's what to do or what to not do, that’s your choice. Try to co-exist with them, and follow whatever rules are absolutely required.”
He bites his cheek. “Will you help me?”
“Of course.” You kiss the side of his face he’s biting to make him let go. “I told you before, I’m always gonna be here for you. If that includes helping you make decisions in regards to your crazy coven, then so be it.”
*****
You’ve never seen anyone from his coven aside from his immediate family, so seeing more of the group that you’d ever anticipated was terrifying, to say the least. The whole plane trip across the country, you’re both having trouble sitting still. As he consumes mini pretzels at an abnormal rate, your tapping foot is probably peeving the passengers around you. Still, he tries his best to prepare you for what den of lions you’re about to face.
“So… meetings are usually just comprised of “elders” and their wives, plus anybody else deemed important enough to attend, or anyone who has something important to share. The elders are the decision makers, and now that includes my dad - elderly, and a past leader.” You snort at his choice of word, but then remember Kai’s actual age and realize the man probably is elderly. “So he’ll certainly be there. Jakob’s had it out for me since day one. I’m assuming he’s still alive, and he’ll be filled with piss and vinegar to see me in person. Leon’s fine. He carries the siphon gene and hasn’t had children because of it. His great uncle is rotting in a prison world somewhere, and I only know that from reading the journals from when I was in ‘94. Patrice is… unimportant,” he says, not knowing what else to say about her.
“Jeez… is anyone in your family actually pleasant?”
“My Aunt Maisie.”
“Oh, so one person.”
He nods. “She’s where Jo got ‘Laughlin’ from. You’d think if she was trying to hide from me, she wouldn’t pick the one name I’d immediately recognize.” He doesn’t say anything else on the matter, but there’s clearly more to it. You don’t push. His childhood isn’t something he wants to relive, and going to this meeting is doing exactly that. Instead, you change the topic.
“So I got us a hotel for the night, and a flight back the next morning. Partly because I know you don’t want to be here, and to be honest, I don’t want to be here, either. And, partly, because when you took off yesterday to prepare for this stupid thing, Matt texted and said Jenny missed your cocktails.”
The comment makes him smile. Even though the grill regular definitely flirts with him most nights, he’s come to enjoy her presence.
“Though I told him you’d need tomorrow night off, too, because this is going to be mentally draining, on top of the plane trip that crosses several time zones. And maybe Saturday, also.”
“Thank you,” he says genuinely, relieved that you understand him in such a way. He leans over to kiss you five seconds before the plane hits turbulence.
*****
On top of the four elders Kai mentioned, his father included, six others were also in attendance. Three were present when he was a kid, though Kai deemed them of lesser importance - they’d rarely speak, and usually only vote - and three had been elected sometime post-1994. He knows them from biannual gatherings and special occasions, but had never really spoken to them. And that reason is, of course, because he was rarely allowed out of his room for those occasions.
When he first enters the room and meets their eyes, small chatter fades to complete silence. Breaths are held as they look the boy up and down. They stare at him, then at you, and a little at your clasped hands. One-by-one, they address him, all by his full name, making his eyes twitch.
Joshua is the last of the elders to greet the new leader, being the most recent to join the council. He looks down disapprovingly before finally spitting a welcome.
“Where’s A-” Joshua turns on his heels and walks away before Kai can ask the question.
His sister then stands before him. “Aunt Maisie passed away in ‘99.”
Kai’s throat dries. “Why are you here?”
“I’m carrying the next set of twins, of course I’d be here.”
You squeeze his hand, trying to comfort him. He bites back a reply, but you can feel the anger coursing through his body.
Nothing important happens in the actual meeting. Jakob, as Kai predicted, shouts most of the time at no one in particular. Everyone knows he’s mad at Joshua, though, and you later learn that he originally wanted to kill the siphon boy at a mere eight years old. This time, Kai squeezes your hand to calm you.
A couple minutes is spent talking about the future of the coven. Patrice points out that although Jo is pregnant, her husband isn’t the leader. Something in her tone hints that the leader’s girlfriend should be the one to be pregnant and to bear the next set, but she’s instantly overridden by everyone shushing her about not wanting to continue the siphon, nor Kai in particular’s, direct bloodline.
In summary, you and Kai flew all the way to Portland just to be annoyed for three hours. That night, you cuddled him on the hotel bed, massaging your hands through his hair. He put up a strong, confident front to prove his ability to lead, but melted the moment you coaxed him into your arms in the privacy of the room. He’s quiet for a long time, and you’re the one that finally breaks the silence.
“I’m proud of you.”
His shoulders relax but tone hardens. “Why?” He wants to believe you, but doubts himself so much that he can’t yet.
“Because you stood up to them by coming here. You’re making an effort to prove your worth to them. Not like you should have to do that, but they’re a bunch of assholes who think you do. But regardless of that, too, it took a lot of strength to face the people who’ve done nothing but cause you pain. You handled both Jo’s and Jakob’s hostility well.”
He exhales, racing mind beginning to ease. “Thank you for coming with me.”
“Of course. Thank you for braving this step and showing them you’re more than capable to lead.”
“They’ll never think I am.”
“That doesn’t matter. They have no say in it; you’re already doing it.”
“For twenty-two years. Until whatever is germinating in my sister’s womb pops out.”
You bite your cheek to keep from laughing. His back rests against your chest, though, and there’s no way he didn’t feel at least a chuckle. “Well then that means we have twenty-two years to figure out something else instead.”
“Pennyroyal tea?”
“No!” You say quickly, unsure if he’s joking or not. “I mean more like, I don’t know, whatever that one woman was saying.”
It takes him a moment, but then his eyes narrow. “You want to have twins?”
“Better me than Jo to have the set that will eventually take over. Even if I’m a couple years behind, they’ll have to accept the current leader’s set over his sister’s, right?”
Kai shrugs, having no idea. It sounds true, given what was hinted before the elder was shushed, but he doesn’t know. Regardless of the answer, he sighs. “You wouldn’t want that kind of tie to my coven.”
“I’m dating you, I kinda already have it.”
“Yeah, but that level of ‘in it’ is something you can’t get out of.”
“I’d do it for you.”
He swears his heart stops. You would marry into his coven and produce a set of in-line twins just for him. Kai is still trying to wrap his head around the fact that you’re dating him, not to mention you’d suffer a coven meeting for him, but to also go that far… just because you love him? He can’t process it.
He wonders… maybe, he misheard you. “Did you say-” When he turns to face you, he realizes you’ve fallen asleep. Your hands remain to hold him, though you’re no longer playing with his hair. He watches your breathing for a moment, still bewildered. At some point, though, his racing mind and tired eyes drive him to exhaustion, and he finally falls asleep in your arms.
*****
Joshua’s presence at your terminal prevented you from never mentioning the conversation, as you were already late to catch your plane. The salt and pepper haired man had a few last, weak words for his son, as he tried to thank him for attending the meeting, but still shame him for winning the merge at the same time. When he made a spiral hand gesture in search of the right thing to say for the fifth time, you snapped your fingers to speed up the process, and finally then did he spit out something half-meaningful. You got on your plane with two minutes to spare and had, for the time being, completely forgotten about your earlier talk.
*****
You’re nearing the fifth month mark in your agreement with Damon and Bonnie, but to be honest, you aren’t worried about it one bit. They have no reason to punish Kai; he’s done nothing but make good progress since the deal was made.
That is, until one night at The Mystic Grill goes horribly wrong.
*****
A rather impatient series of knocks has you opening the door with your eyes rolling.
“What now?” You swing it open, expecting the pizza man. The last time, the man was so terrified of the neighbor’s dog that was barking, he was quick to hand it over and leave, forgetting his tip in the process. “I promise, the dog isn’t getting out. He’s just-”
Instead, Damon stands on the other side. “What dog? I’m not-”
“No.” You try to close it, but he stops it with his foot.
“Wait, Y/N.”
“What do you want?”
“Can’t just check up on a friend?”
“I still have time to work with Kai. And for your information, he’s doing great. We don’t need your commentary.”
“I’m just curious.” He tries to look past your shoulder into the room. “Where is the little weasel?” Unfortunately, he spots him on the couch and offers a wave.
“He has his own place down the hall, we’re just having dinner together. Got a problem with it?”
“Kai Parker has his own apartment? Wow!”
“Shut up, Damon. And why are you really here?”
“Jo told Alaric, who told me, that Kai’s been going to coven meetings lately.”
“Yeah. So?”
“Just seeing if it’s true! So what made him go?”
“He’s the leader; he’s taking up the responsibility. Like a leader does.”
He scoffs. “No influence from you?”
“Of course I’m helping him, but I’m not making decisions for him.”
“Really? This apartment, a job at the grill, being there for his family, that’s not you telling him what to do?”
“If didn’t want to do it, he wouldn’t. I don’t know if you know him, but Kai doesn’t do anything unless he wants to. Sure I’m guiding him, but he has the ultimate say in all of these decisions.”
“Yeah, except if he doesn’t follow the rules, we’re gonna kill him.”
“If you can catch him,” you challenge, “because if Kai decides he doesn’t want this life, I’m prepared to run with him.” You watch Damon’s face before continuing. “But the thing is - he does. He does want to fit in, and he does want his life to have meaning, and he doesn’t want to waste it. Contrary to what you all think, he’s really trying to start something here.” Damon stares at you. “So I’d appreciate it if you’d butt out and go away.”
The man clicks his tongue, but then ultimately leaves. “See you later, Y/N.”
“I’m sorry you had to hear that,” you mutter, joining him on the couch.
“You didn’t mention the guy at the bar.”
“Didn’t seem relevant. Damon makes mistakes, too.”
“What if he finds out?”
“I won’t let him hurt you. You’ve been making such good progress; you’ve been a downright angel most of the time. One bar fight in my defense isn’t going to erase all that.”
“Y/N, I killed him. He’s going to send me back to a prison world. I can’t go back there.”
You take his shoulders gently and pull him down into your lap. “He’s not going to hurt you, Kai. I promise. Rest your little head, okay?”
He nods. “And you’re sure you’ll leave with me if it comes to that?”
After the incident, he had a meltdown, fearing for his life, and almost preparing for Bonnie to burst through the door and send him away. You promised that if she were to come for him, you’d abandon this life and run with him, even if that dissolves the terms of your agreement with the pair. You had then admitted, too, that if Kai decides he doesn’t adapt well to domestic life, even without the incident that had occurred, you’re prepared to leave with him. Damon knowing that little contingency plan probably wasn’t the best, but you doubt the man believes you anyway.
“Of course. I promise.” You assure him.
*****
At nearly midnight, one week later, you hear a banging across the hall. After a moment, you poke your head out and see Damon at your door.
“The fuck do you want?”
“I thought this was your door?”
“I’m with Kai.”
“Ooh, in his apartment?”
“Did you think I was lying?”
He shrugs. “A little.”
“What do you want, Damon?”
He comes up to you with a piece of paper in his hand. He reads, “obituary of forty-two year old Patrick Johnson. Died in a bar fight last week. Split his head against the countertop. No arrests have been made,” he looks up, “happened at the grill.”
“So?”
“Sound familiar?”
“No arrests have been made.”
“Well I didn’t do it. Stefan didn’t do it. It could’ve only been Enzo, or your little “reformed” sociopath in there, and I think we both know who’s to blame.” You roll your eyes. “It’s easier to just tell the truth, sweetheart.”
“So what if it was? What are you gonna do? You’re not invited in; you can’t touch him.”
“Just tell me what happened, Y/N.” He makes a push against the boundary, but it doesn’t budge. “Look, Bonnie hasn’t seen this yet. Just tell me, and I can make it go away.”
“Why would you do that?”
“The goodness of my heart?” You snort. “Come on, Y/N.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“I can go show this to her then,” he points his thumb in the other direction, “because I can promise you who she’ll point the first finger at, and considering Enzo’s been so busy sticking his nose in my brother’s business lately, odds aren’t in your favor.”
You hesitate. “Fine.”
Kai watches from the couch with bated breath. Damon gives him a little wave as he notices him. “Hello, Malachai.” You glare at the man, who then half-apologizes. “Sorry. Explain.”
 “There was a fight one night when we weren't working. Matt wasn’t working either. Kai had nothing to do with starting the fight, but unfortunately, we were sitting right in the middle of it. We got up to leave, but then some man grabbed me and reached down my shirt, and Kai lost his cool.”
“Details, please.”
“He pushed him into the bar but the man kept fighting back. He spit in Kai’s face and made attempts to pull at his clothes. All the while, yelling all this shit about what he wanted to do to me, screaming profanities. Made comments about other women, too, but when he specified that he had been watching me all night and was waiting for Kai to leave, Kai pushed his head down into the countertop. He still fought. After a couple of blows to the counter, we heard a crack. It wasn’t his fault, Damon, don’t hurt him, please.”
The man stares for a moment, then at Kai. “Y’know… I’m surprised you even made it this far. I had no faith in you.”
“Damon-”
“But, I have to say, I’m impressed by your progress. Y/N here wants you to be better, and clearly you love her enough to be better for her.”
“He’s doing it for himself, too, Damon. All he’s ever wanted is to be accepted, and-”
“Save the speech. I admire the progress you’ve made, and I’d honestly hate for all of Y/N’s hard work to go to waste. Now, Bonnie hasn’t seen this yet, and you’ve toned down your menacing almost one hundred percent, and I can agree that this incident isn’t your fault. So, if you promise not to repeat it, and don’t ever speak a word of this to Bonnie-”
“She doesn’t even talk to me anymore.”
“-we don’t have to let her know it happened. I’ll go Liz, clear your name from it. She can put the blame on someone else or claim it was an accident. Just tell me that you won’t let this happen again.”
Now you’re the one staring at Damon, wide-eyed with surprise. “I-I promise.”
Kai nods, agreeing. “I didn’t mean to get in a fight, and I certainly didn’t mean to kill him. I just couldn’t let it go and he wouldn’t stop.”
“I’d do the same if it were Elena. Hell, I’d do it for Y/N, too. What’s one less douchebag in this world?”
The boy half-smiles. “Hey, Damon?”
“What?”
“If Bonnie does find out, or if she has a suspicion, what do we do?”
He shrugs. “Tell her what you told me. He wouldn’t stop. It was an accident. You were protecting Y/N.” Damon looks at you. “I know you two used to be close, so even if she’s mad about it, she’ll understand. I won’t let her do anything in terms of the agreement, I’ll, as Elijah always says,” he says with a smirk, “keep my word. And hey, you might even win brownie points for defending her.”
“Thank you.”
“Just don’t let it happen again. Next time someone starts shit, call me to compel them away, or call Liz.”
“Okay,” you reply.
“Speaking of compulsion,” he adds, “how’d you get this apartment?”
You’re quiet for a moment, then admit, “Caroline helped.” He laughs. “Don’t tell Bonnie.”
Damon puts his hands up as if to surrender. “Not a peep.”
“She said I remind her of someone named Klaus,” Kai offers.
“Ah. Yes! Baby Klaus.”
You shake your head, offended. “Not at all!”
“I’m kidding!”
“You’re a jerk.”
“All kidding, sourpuss. Alright, off to Liz.”
“Thank you again.”
“Hm. Be good.”
The death was ruled an accident the next day.
*****
Six months on the dot, Damon summons you and Bonnie back to the boarding house to rule if Kai can stay, or if Bonnie can boot him back to a prison world. The boy is nervous, despite you promising him he has nothing to fear. If anything, she should be the one anxious, upset she can’t go through with her little plan to trap him again.
The two of you show up right on time, and to your surprise, Elena’s the one to open the door.
“Hi,” she smiles. You two haven’t seen much of each other lately. Bonnie’s been adamant about her friends avoiding both you and The Grill, and many of their nights have been spent at the Scull Bar instead.
“Hi,” you greet her back. Kai gives her a smile, too, but nervousness twitches at the tip of his lips.
“I’ve been seeing the other Parker so much, it’s refreshing to see a different one,” she references Liv and her salty-ass attitude. “Hey, Damon’s said you make a mean cocktail. Put it to the test?”
Damon’s been keeping a secret eye on Kai and reporting everything back to his girlfriend. She wants to believe he’s changed, Caroline, too, and asks the question as a small way to test it. When he gives her a more confident smile and steps inside the house, she takes it as a good sign.
You follow them inside.
“Y/N!” Damon welcomes, arms open wide. He pulls you into an unexpected hug, but then whispers in your ear, “careful, she’s bitter.” The hug suddenly makes sense, and you thank him for the warning before hugging back. “And where’s the little weasel?”
“In the kitchen with Elena. She wanted a cocktail.”
“Ah. I may have told her he’s built up a little fanbase at The Grill. Jenny the Drunk is no longer his biggest tipper.”
“So I’ve heard. All the milfs want my man.”
“Well, he is closer in age to them than you.”
“Shut up.”
“Y/N,” Bonnie’s voice interrupts your banter. She smiles at you from afar, eyes clouded with mixed emotions.
“Hi,” you reply with a similar tone. Not cold, but not exactly warm, either. “How’ve you been?”
“Okay. Been studying a lot. Been helping Jo with… I’ve been busy.”
You nod. “She’s close.”
“Yeah. You know?”
“She stopped coming to meetings.”
“Meetings…?”
“Coven meetings. They’re in Portland, so we have to fly, and she’d always be there, too.”
“You’ve been going to coven meetings?”
“Kai’s the leader, he kinda has to.”
She gulps, as if not expecting him to be so productive in the six month time span. Before she can say anything else, though, Caroline comes out of nowhere with a bright yellow cocktail and a bendy straw.
“Mhm! You have to try these, they’re so good! Who’d think Kai could make such a good tropical drink? I wouldn’t until thirty seconds ago.”
You laugh. “Where’d the bendy straw come from?”
She shrugs. “Found them in the cupboard, probably Damon’s secret stash. Bonnie, you want to try?”
“No.”
“Okay.” She retreats back to the kitchen, promising she’ll bring you one.
“Did he learn that skill at The Grill? Matt taught him?”
“He learned in the prison world. They only had to train him on the more modern drinks.” She doesn’t answer. “He’s really been trying. Not only trying, but doing really well.”
“What about-”
“Guys, come in here! Damon’s summoning you,” Caroline calls.
You share one more glance and then follow her voice to the kitchen.
“Decision-making time,” Damon announces, fighting with his tongue to find his straw.
“Preferably before we get drunk,” his girlfriend agrees.
Bonnie looks less than thrilled. “This agreement was made between Y/N, Damon, and I, and only the three of us will actually be making the decision.”
Her slight attitude makes the room silent.
Caroline’s the first to speak up. “That’s fair, I guess.”
“Thank you, Caroline.” The girl looks back down at her drink. She made input to keep the peace, not to argue on the behalf of one side or the other. “Y/N?”
“Hm?”
“You mentioned Kai’s been going to Gemini meetings. Anything else he’s done?”
“Yeah, well, we started with the apartment, then the job. Felt like The Grill would be a good place since he was a regular, and that he’d be comfortable there. With time, I helped him ease into his coven role, and we go to Portland monthly for meetings. Nothing important ever really happens, they all just argue.”
“You mentioned you’ve seen Jo. She’s around eight months now. That hasn’t been a problem?”
“She wasn’t at the last meeting. Her father said he nor Rick wanted her flying. And no, it hasn’t been a problem.”
“He’s not worried about the next set of twins taking over in twenty years?”
“We’ve discussed it, but no, it’s not a problem.”
“What do you mean ‘discussed it’?”
“That’s actually none of your business, Bonnie. The only people who should be concerned with that are those in the Gemini coven, and considering you’re not, you don’t have the right to ask. And, actually, Jo got pregnant and engaged without even consulting her coven, too, so frankly, that business only belongs to Kai and I.” She blinks, not used to being told off so directly. “We’re not concerned about Jo, nor the twins. Besides, that’s over twenty years away, and not worth worrying over right now.”
“Fine. So he’s adapting well?”
“Yes.”
“Bonnie,” Damon starts, “I know we were skeptical, but I think they’ve proven us wrong-”
“One more thing.” You gulp, knowing exactly where she’s headed. “A couple months ago, I read an article where a local bar fight turned deadly. The man’s death was ruled an accident. Do you know anything about that?”
“That was-”
“And don’t you dare lie to me because we both know-”
“I wasn’t going to lie,” you snap back. “If you’d let me talk, I could explain.”
“Oh, so you do know about it? I want to hear it from him,” she nods to Kai.
Kai’s nervously chewing his lip. When you give him a gentle tilt of your head, he begins to explain. “Okay, yes, that was me. I was defending Y/N. I-”
“We told you no more killing people. The deal’s-”
“Let him explain, Bonnie,” the vampire interrupts.
“You’re defending him?!”
“Just hear him out first.”
Kai looks to Damon, then back at the girl. “The guy got physical with Y/N. He was yelling all this profane shit about her and grabbed at her shirt. When I got in the middle of them, he started hitting at me, and spitting. Every time I tried to shake him off, he’d come back for more. It was a complete accident; I didn’t mean to kill him.”
“So you did kill him.”
“Did you not hear me? I said it was an accident; he was trying to get to Y/N. I wasn’t going to let him touch her.”
“Think about it, Bonnie. If you were there, you would’ve given him a magical headache, and if his brain burst, oh well! The only difference is that Kai didn’t use magic. If anything, it’s better that he didn’t.”
“I’m sorry, I’m still confused. Why are you defending him? And why do you seem to know about this?!”
“I did know about it, okay? And I’m sorry for not telling you, but this is why. He was defending Y/N and I can’t blame him for that. C’mon, Bon. You’ve always been worried about her getting hurt, but he keeps her safe. It’s crazy, even for me to admit, but he does.”
“So you’re okay with him staying? You’re serious?”
“Look, he hasn’t been bothering us. Hasn’t been bothering Jo. This is the only person he’s killed and it was in Y/N’s defense. He makes great cocktails. Let’s just put this whole thing behind us.”
“Bonnie, I’ve missed your friendship these last couple months, and if you give Kai a chance, you’ll see he’s really put in a lot of effort into building a life here.”
She glares at the both of you, then back at him. She even looks to her friends for support. They shrug. “Fine.” She holds up a finger, “but if he falls back into old ways, he’s gone.”
“Thank you, Bon.”
Kai offers his thanks as well, and a second later, you jump at the feeling of his lips on the back of your neck. He apologizes for startling you, but then wraps his arms around your waist. Bonnie watches, both at how unafraid you are of him, and how in love he is with you. She fights the urge to smile, wanting to keep up her cold exterior for a little longer.
After some time, plans are made to get together for real. There’s a lot of work to be done in rekindling your friendship, but you’re on the path to getting there. As for her negative feelings about Kai, she’s just going to have to see his change for herself.
*****
That night, you’re curled in bed together when something suddenly harbors in his mind. He hesitates for a moment, unsure if he wants to bring it up; if you even remember it happening, but then curiosity begins to fester in him.
“Can we talk about something, Y/N?”
“What’s that?”
“I was reminded earlier, when you were talking about Jo to Bonnie… in the hotel room after the first meeting, did you mean it?”
“Mean what?”
“What you said about, like, having twins? That you’d do it for me?”
You backtrack your mind several months to that conversation. It happened a little like this one - you holding him, him being a little weary about the day’s events. Ah. “Yes.”
He perks up. “Yes, you remember it, or yes, you meant it?”
“Both. I do remember that conversation. And yes, I would give you a set of twins if you wanted to keep your bloodline in the leadership.”
“Why?”
“Why?” You repeat his question, glancing at him to see if he’s serious. His face is riddled with confusion - definitely serious. “Because I love you. And they might have doubts about you, but I have faith in your ability to lead, and I believe you’d be a good father, too.”
Now he crinkles his nose. “Why?”
“Well the man who raised you barely did at all. He isolated you, and hurt you, and treated you like crap just because you were born differently. And despite that, and despite a few bumps along the way, you’ve proven you’re capable of deep, gentle love. You prove it to me daily, and you’ve proven patience at your job and with Bonnie, and understanding. You’ve managed to survive despite the circumstances you’ve been given, and all those things are traits I know you would teach a child, because you’d do everything to prevent raising them like your father raised you; to make sure they grow up in a loving environment, like one you should’ve been given. And, you’d teach them how to survive in this coven, because unfortunately, as leader, you’re still tied to them, but you would teach them how to remain strong. And even if we ever happen to have twins and they’d need to merge, you’d still make sure their lives are meaningful before it.”
Kai’s quiet for a while. “If we did that, I wouldn’t want it just for the benefit of the coven. It would be out of my love for you, and if we have a desire to have kids. Not like Jo, where it was an accident, but not like my father, who only needed a leader.”
You kiss his head. “I agree.”
“So you would be okay with that? If we did, at some point?”
“Of course. When the time comes for that, we can talk about it more, but yes.”
“Good, because I’m not ready now.” He relaxes, but then stiffens again. “But wait, Jo… if we’re trying to beat her to this, don’t we need to do it now?”
You choose your next words carefully, unsure if they even hold any meaning. “Well… if I’m understanding it correctly, the leader’s twins would be next in line, regardless if there’s another set in the family. So even if Jo’s are, say, nine or ten, if we have a set, wouldn’t they be next in line?”
“But they don’t want to continue my line because of the siphon gene.”
“Yes, but you’re still the leader, so maybe we can argue that when the time comes. Besides, we can’t do anything about it now. She’s eight months and I’m, obviously, not even in the same playing field.” You rub his arm comfortingly, or at least, hoping it’ll bring him comfort in light of your next few words. “Maybe… okay. First off, I don’t think Jo wants to participate in the merge with her future kids. She’s already tried to escape this family once, I doubt she wants her kids brought back in it. So maybe if we have a set, she’ll just let them take over.”
“But she might merge them just to prevent my line from continuing in leadership.”
“Or, she might welcome kids raised by you and I to lead instead, if we can prove to her we can raise good kids,” you half-joke. He nods. “Because as much animosity as she has towards you, I really don’t think she wants her kids following in coven tradition. Even so, if she does merge hers, we can just follow right up with ours and take it back.” Kai lets out a small chuckle. “But even if hers do take the leadership, I don’t think they’ll try to hurt you. By then, you’ll be settled in, and we’re already far away from your father. Jo trusts me, I think, and we can continue to make peace with her. We’ll be okay. You’ll be safe, I promise. As long as you’re with me-”
“-I’m safe.”
“Exactly.” You kiss him. “And if by somehow there’s a huge falling out and the coven does get violent again,” you shrug, “we’ll just become vampires.”
At first he laughs, but then grows serious as the words hit him. “You’d really do that with me? Transition and live forever just to keep them from killing me?”
“Mhm. I would live a thousand lives as long as I have you with me in all of them.”
Hey hi hello!
I have some things to say about new merch and jo merch in general so this is gonna be a litrle longer post and actually I think I should cange my semiotics theme (which is already about jo) about how bad their merch design is.
First of all little disclaimer: this is all my humble opionion based on what I learned in my one year of being graphic design student and an artist and designer on the internet for last 4-5 years. Before going to uni I learned most of about art and graphic design stuff by reading books and watching tons of yt videos. Second of all this critic is just coming from place of love for this band because I see so mucb potential and they could do some amazing merch designs if they give it a chance and I am fully aware how expensive the touring is and why they had to cut the quality of merch products.
So far my favorite jo band merch designs are cds (that probably required some designer to make), condoms (because they are really funny, genius, nicely designed and unique merch that fit the vibe of the band and matches their songs as well) and the new tshirt from last merch drop (which design is made by one slovenian fanartist : link.
Main reason that made me want to speak up is seeing that this merch drop will only have 100 products (my friend said that could mean 20-ish shirts per size) which how big this fandom has gotten in last year is pretty really dam limited. For a limited product I am really disappointed and I hoped for more. For such a limited product that design is the most default design they could have gone for and I am so sorry for Damon because his work is goregous, amazing, breathtaking and I could talk about it for ages and how inspiring it is but this shirt design isn't serving.
If they wanted to do bare minimum of design with those 5 images here is some of my ideas (unfortunately I don't have time to visually show them to yall on a mock ups because of finals that I should be studying for instead of writing this so try to imagine what I am trying to say and demonstrate). First is just simple instead of white choose black shirt or even better a thisrt. If you want it to go a stepp further is using their name logo font (font name is Avaline btw if anyone wants to download and use it for their designs :))) and either put it how they did when they promoted the everybody's waiting or to write idk therapy sessions or anything related to the band or it can even be some inside joke.
Tumblr media
Something like this would make design just a bit more intersting but still bare minimum but amazing for regular merch. If they want to go a step further but want to keep the long sleeves (this idea was suggested by few people I talked too) they could put pictures vertically on the sleeves. I would find it a bit cooler if it is on the right sleeve out-side and then they put their band logo (the heart one) on the left side of the shirt where people's hearts normally are.
After exams I would definitely like to try to make some designs and just limit myself with this 5 pictures and play with typography and photoshoop to make something interesting.
Another I want to mentioned is how in my humble opinion if you are gonna sell limited edition either make it really pretty or good quality or really cursed and funny with inside jokes.
I think people (and me first) would eat tshirts (but also other merch designs) with some cursed designs or just texts that say "sparklative" or "slay pose" or "I feel SloveNACE" (this 3 were suggested by amazing people in tumblr discord server) or even let Jan photoshoop their faces on most random picture. This 5 guys with their gen z humour could make and do some hilarious merch like how amazing idea the condoms are.
Last thing I want to say is how many amazingly talented fans are. I mean even Damon was so shocked and moved by amount of talent and art made in this community. Furthermore I know (some of them as online friends and mutuals, others as just artists from same fandom) who are also either graphic design students or they work in art/graphic design/entertainment fields and some of them (including myself) would be so happy to even make few merch designs or art for them for freee or for a ticket for their show. Personally I would die from happiness if I get a chance to work with my favorite band that inspires me so much everyday to the point people at my uni think I am from Slovenia and know slovenian because of how much I include them in my uni work and how much fanart and designs I made because of them in last 6 months.
I just think there is so much potential guys might not be aware of (Idk honestly because who knows what is going on backstage in their lives). But yeah they could have even asked Damon to help them with composition of the pictures on that shirt or even hire Racik to make some pretty art or any fanartist honestly. Here is just few links of my favorite fanartists who also do a lot of graphic design related stuff (and also some of them sell their products on their own websites/redbubble/etsy/inprint/etc) :
Tia <3
Roxanne
Vic
jo.kam_ (previously mentioned her design)
Lemon
yelecx
Racik (ofc)
There is probably more but my brain for hell of it won't remember any names so feel free to add in the comments or tags more artists <3
I could probably go more in depth and give more ideas how to improve merch designs the cheapest and best way as possible but still trying to keep the quality good as it needs to be. I know there is still gonna be people fighting for this shirts and people are still gonna buy their merch but just it hurts my art/designer soul seeing this bad designs when there is so much potential and they have amazing fans and amazing crew and they work with so many talnted people and they themselves are so talented and their music inspired so many and so much.
Thanks everyone for coming to my TedTalk. <3
Actually now I am thinking and from just talking about jo work from design and semiotics perspective for that semiotics seminar I could just focus on their merch design and go more in detail about it and if yall want when it is done and I translate it in english I could share it here for people who want to read about it. Let me know I guess.
Also if someone is interested my art and design insta is lucia.without.j and my redbubble is lucia-without-j and my dms are always open if someone wants to chat or complain about anything art, design, joker out or any other fandom I am in related.
P. S. I am so sorry for any spelling mistakes and if what I said doesn't make sense. English isn't my first language.
Requests: “79 & 80 Stefan Salvatore” Prompt List (Credits to gif owners!)
Y/N hated when she’d be out with Stefan and all of the girls would cling to him like he was a magnet. He only had eyes for her but Y/N couldn’t stand the way Elena still lingered around as if she still cared. She broke his heart for Damon, Caroline has been obsessed with him since he arrived in Mystic Falls. The freshmen girls watched him strut down the hallway.
The junior girls always waited in groups and waved as he passed. But the one thing Y/N couldn’t stand...when a girl flirted with him like she wasn’t standing next to him. Oh it made her blood boil and everything in her crawl. Pretending she didn’t exist because she had one of the yummiest boyfriends in Mystic Falls really irked her.
Stefan insisted he take Y/N out for dinner at The Grill. With Silas dead, his memories back, he finally found time to take her out and spend time with her. A waitress was watching from the bar, grinning at him. “You do realize you’re the hottest guy in here right? Ever since you got your memories back it’s like every girl is all over you.” Y/N frowned and played with the straw in her drink. Stefan let out a deep exaggerated sigh in response.
His face then turned red. “I wouldn’t say the hottest...” Y/N grinned up at him. He was always so humble. “I don’t know why it’s only now after my memories came back, but you are the one I want Y/N…I explain it to you all the time..” He explained in the most gentle Stefan way possible. Y/N nodded and grabbed his hand from across the table, her thumb playing with his daylight ring. He was right, he did reassure her a lot and she needed to start trusting just a bit more.
“You are the hottest. FYI.” She whispered and Stefan looked down at his lap with a smile on his face, biting his lip to keep from smiling too big. “I just don’t like everyone staring at you. I wish I could just act on it and show them how much I don’t like it.” Y/N rolled her eyes. Stefan thought she was adorable like this, she isn’t threatening at all.
Stefan rested his chin on his hand and brushed his thumb over hers. “I don’t like when guys stare at you but I never act on it.” He added. “Jealousy is okay, as long as you control it, Y/N.” Why does he always have to add his words of Stefan wisdom?
“Not when you’re mine!” She argued and was a little too loud at the same time. “Especially when they look better than me…” She trailed off.
Stefan rolled his eyes this time. “Y/N...you’re also mine. Isn’t that something in itself? Something to fall back onto for comfort? I choose to be with you.” He narrowed his eyes at her. Y/N wouldn’t admit it. “Come on. Say it. You want to agree with me.”
Yes she did. He was right and she was wrong which was usual. And she wanted to laugh at herself for how silly she was being. Stefan had never given her a reason not to trust him before.
“Come on Y/N.” He leans further across the table at her. Their moment was interrupted by the waitress. Stefan looked up with those big green eyes and the waitress nearly melted in the most visible way possible. Shuddering and all.
Y/N knew Stefan just proved her point. “This is your bill but I think it’ll be on me.” The waitress walked away with a noticeable sway in her hips. Stefan was being stared down by Y/N and awkwardly scratched his head.
“I uh...” He coughed and read the bill. “It’s free food so...” He shrugged at her. Y/N frowned and sat back, crossing her arms. “Come on Y/N do you think I do that on purpose? I was born like this.” He ran his hands through his fluffy hair. “All joking aside I don’t want anyone else, baby.” He said gently again.
“No, you don’t do it on purpose. But I’m going to get you some contacts that make your pretty green eyes a shit brown color and then nobody will melt when they look into your eyes.” She hissed.
“Y/N...” He started and was starting to become frustrated. They were interrupted again by a female plopping herself into the booth next to Stefan without so much as acknowledging Y/N. Y/N gasped. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing, it was like someone cast a spell on her boyfriend and they couldn’t resist themselves. But to be fair Caroline did the exact same thing when the group met Stefan for the very first time.
“How about I write my number on that paper?” She playfully grinned. It was like Y/N didn’t exist and Stefan was growing more uncomfortable by the second. She had a hand loosely placed on his bicep and Y/N wasn’t sure if she should be seething or cry. How disrespectful and distasteful. No class whatsoever.
“Oh no we uh...” Stefan started scratching his ear. “Okay look, I’ve got a girlfriend sitting across from me. I’d appreciate it if you’d stop.” Always the gentleman. But Y/N wanted to see him snap.
Y/N huffed when the girl pressed her hand to Stefan’s jawline. She wanted nothing more than to see Stefan tear into her jugular now. “I’m leaving.” Y/N collected her things and headed for the front door. She had to be the bigger person, after all Stefan could handle himself. She knew he’d compel her or just completely walk away,
Stefan choked on air and pushed the stranger off of him who followed them outside. “Please stop. Y/N please….” He begged her. But she kept following them to the car into the dark alleyway. Y/N didn’t stop until she heard a gasp and teeth tearing into flesh.
Stefan huffed, taken aback by his sudden action. Blood smeared across his lips and dripped down his chin and into the collar of his shirt. The patterns that danced under his eyes faded and he was back to his sweet human self. He looked down at the lifeless body of the poor girl who followed them outside and Y/N could swear she almost felt bad.
He looked up at her and grinned crookedly at her and what he said next had a hint of amusement in his voice.
“Looks like I got two free meals tonight…” He started to collect the limp body in his arms to dispose of it.
