Since Bolin is in my canon timeline as the lyrium dealer/carta liaison for the Inquisition, he and Dorian still end up together. He eventually just phases out of the Carta (they didn’t appreciate him there anyway) and becomes an unofficial member of the Inquisition, as one of Leliana’s agents. Lu takes Dorian a lot with her, especially for the big quests, so Bolin tends to come a lot with them too. He was there during big events like Adamant (though not in the Fade), Temple of Mythal, and the last fight with Corypheus.
