#did he ask the bone reavers to shave him?

While I'm not sure what it means I keep thinking about how Graydon is being stripped down. The first scene we see him boy is wearing L A Y E R S. Crown, mantle, cloak, tunic. Even when he leaves for the adventure, its with a fur mantle and coat, plus his shirt and bags (and horse).

He was stripped of his mantle a while ago, his horse, then lost his coat in Nockmar. His shirt was cut open and he spent 1/2 the episode (ep4) showing off his chest scars.

We start ep5 with him in just his (newly repaired?) shirt and his one lil bag.

THEN he gets shaved by the Bone Reavers! He has been stripped bare, why?

What does it MEAN?
