because he is my #1 5evr and because i like to voice my opinion on things:

rick dipietro admits to having suicidal thoughts (i believe he said he would have driven himself into a tree, something like that, so note the severity) and is made fun of. why, rick! you can't have suicidal thoughts! sure, you're young and your body is too fucked up for you to play the sport you devoted your entire life to, but come on! i mean, yeah, you're the "laughing stock" of the nhl and even your fans boo you, but let's be real! you make a lot of money so you can't complain! don't be a bitch because you can't take the heat, rick!

rick dipietro may or may not have been serious about these comments. maybe he was kidding—yes, it's a sensitive subject and not something to joke about, but he didn't take it far. he made a relative comment. and maybe he wasn't joking but got so much concern and backlash that he felt as if the only thing he could do was say, "no, no, i'm fine, i was kidding!"

rick dipietro admits to this and he's a fucking douchebag. you scumbag, you don't even deserve to live! you don't deserve any money or any place in the nhl! geez, rick, you just can't keep yourself away from fucking up, can you? that's all you do, fuck up. you're a fuck up.

all i'm saying is this: i woke up this morning to a text from my brother saying, "since when is rick suicidal?" and it brought back memories of my own personal struggles and those of many nhl players, and i sat up in bed, burst out in tears, and attempted to look up "rick dipietro suicide comments" on the internet. when i saw that he said he was kidding i kept crying because what if rick really wasn't kidding, what if he really was suicidal? you can't make one ruling or another. yes, if he was joking it's not something to joke about but the severity of the comments was so very low. he was using an example to show how much his wife has meant to him and supported him (even with the beard... come on, dick, enough is enough) throughout this entire ordeal, which i think is pretty damn gentlemanly of him.

i'm terrible about voicing my opinions, especially when it comes to rick, but just give the guy a break. stop the h8 it aint gettin' us nowhere.
