Like, I can’t believe that Hilary Duff, Zac Efron,Taylor Swift, Vanessa Hudgens, Drake Bell, Josh Peck, Emmy Rossum, Lea Michele, Ashley Tisdale Dianna Agron, and Amanda Bynes are already in their early thirties! I can’t believe Miley Cyrus, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Victoria Justice, Sophie Turner, Ariana Grande,  Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence, Freddie Highmore, Joe Jonas, Miranda Cosgrove, Anna Sophia Robb, Debbie Ryan, Jaimie Lynn Spears, and Dakota Fanning are all around the same age as me! I still remember singing You Belong With Me, Teardrops on My Guitar, Love Story, Picture to Burn, Boyfriend, Our Song, Baby, Never Say Never, One Less Lonely Girl, and buying my friend in high school a Justin Bieber album for her birthday because she was obsessed with him back in 2012! I remember being a stupid kid in middle school and high school who thought she was so smart because she managed to read all four of the trashy Twilight novels by Stephanie Meyer in less than a year!!! I remember how fucking stupid I was as a kid for idolizing Edward Cullen’s and Bella Swan’s romance!!! I’ve matured so much since then, we all have, but it still feels like our childhoods/teenage years weren’t that long ago! We’re still relatively young adults! A lot of people older who are over thirty five, would still call us kids, but it feels like we’ve grown/are growing up so damn fast!!! It still feels like we should be babies!!! I think a great thing about those of us in our generation though is just how young most of us still look in our twenties to early thirties for our age!!! Like, I still look the same as I did seven years ago when I was sixteen at nearly twenty-four! Selena Gomez, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Victoria Justice,Taylor Swift, Kristen Stewart, Justin Bieber, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Emma Watson, Emmy Rossum, and Freddie Highmore still mostly look the same as they did over ten years ago! We’re the generation that seems to age well and/or barely age at all, so long as we take care of ourselves! We’re the age of vampires!! Relationship Status: Single, in the romantic sense, but I have my parents, my brothers, my grandparents, my aunt and my little cousins, and a cat for family.

Top 3 Ships:

1). Rumbelle (Rumplestiltskin x Belle) from ABC’s Once Upon A Time, but with conditions. I love how much they love each other, and would do anything for each other when they are both in-character. I’m also a sucker for the whole “love redeems” and BATB tropes in fiction, but they also tend to be the ones that the writers love to fuck up deliberately for shits ad giggles at some point on TV shows when they get bored or lazy. That’s why I only accept their individual characters or relationship together when they are both written in-character, so mostly from S1-3A of canon OUAT and in various canon-divergent/AU scenarios thereafter. However, I feel like the same thing can be said about every other remaining main character/ ship in canon OUAT post 3A. There was a serious nosedive in characterization, consistency, and storytelling integrity after Neal got killed off in canon OUAT, and while there were moments where Rumple, Belle, Emma, and everyone else seemed to be like the characters and relationships I originally fell in love with in canon from 3B-S7, I still feel like the show truly ended most organically and satisfyingly with “Going Home” (3x11), and there were serious problems with the writing starting to show with plot versus character driven writing, rape culture, abuse apology, broken rules of magic, plotholes, and character favoritism, even before 3B in S2. But after Neal got killed off, Hook became the main lead, and they started resurrecting the dead with magic when it suited the plot, they clearly didn’t know what the fuck they were doing anymore, and weren’t trying to tell any sort of story at all by undoing everyone’s original characterizations for plot back-and-forth.Everyone was ruined by illogically ooc, inconsistent, and toxic character destroying plot driven inexcusably bad writing that made absolutely no sense, which made them all unsympathetic and unrecognizable from 3B-S7 at one point or another, including Emma, Belle, the Charmings, and Henry, the “good guys,” so I try to pretend it never happened, and quit watching regularly after S5 to preserve my sanity.

2). Jane Eyre x Mr. Edward-Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte-Again, I’m a sucker for the whole “love redeems” trope in fiction, and I appreciate how Edward is portrayed as the “dark” one, while Jane is the “virtuous” one, but neither one of them are without their flaws that go unaddressed, which is a big problem with a lot of “love redeems” couples. Their conflicts become hypocritically one-sided. 

3). Anne Shirley x Gilbert Blythe from the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery-These two started out as frenemies, then became best friends in childhood and adolescence, and then eventually got married. The perfect love story!

Last Song I Listened To: I watched and listened to the Hairspay (2007) musical-comedy film adaptation on Netflix with Nikki Blonsky, Amanda Bynes, John Travolta, Zac Efron, Queen Latifah, Christopher Walken, Michelle Pfeiffer, Brittany Snow, James Marsden, Elijah Kelley, and Allison Janney, and have been jamming out to Miss Baltimore Crabs, The Ladies’ Choice, Good Morning Baltimore, I Can Hear the Bells, You Can’t Stop the Beat,  Welcome to the ‘60s, Run and Tell That, Big, Blonde and Beautiful, and Without Love a lot since remembering the music again. Does that count?

P O I N T S O F I N T E R E S T

The  Fabrays  are  well - known  for  being  a  very    t r a d i t i o n a l    Slytherin  household.    Russel  works  for  the  Department  of  Magical  Law  Enforcement  at  the  Ministry  of  Magic,    meaning  their  family  has  a  fairly  HIGH  status  within  the  wizarding  community.    Quinn  grew  up  knowing  families  such  as  the  Greengrasses  and  Malfoys,    and  was  brought  up  to  share  their  opinions  and  values  as  they  expected  her  to  end  up  in  Slytherin.    However,    she  wound  up  being  placed  in    Ravenclaw    and  thus  had  to  ADAPT  herself  in  order  to  fit  in  and  make  friends.    Her  relationship  with  her  parents,    from  her  first  year  onwards,    is  therefore  rather  shaky  and  continues  to  be  that  way  in  her  adulthood.

Much  like  my  Beauxbatons  verse,    Quinn  is  a  QUARTER - VEELA,    and  while  she  is  technically  classed  as  a  half - breed,    she  has  been  taught  to  say  that  she  is  a  Pure - blooded  witch  if  asked.    It  is  a  very  important  part  of  her  characterisation  and  a  lot  of  how  she  behaves  is  owed  down  to  her  background  and  genes.    It  also  makes  her  incredibly  lonely  and  feel  ISOLATED,    as  she  can  never  tell  if  someone  is  being  nice  to  her  because  of  her  supernatural  charm  or  because  they  are  genuinely  friendly.    She  has  a  lot  of  walls  up  because  of  this,    and  is  incredibly  aware  of  the  world  around  her.

Following  her  education  at  Hogwarts  School  of  Witchcraft  and  Wizardry,    Quinn  went  on  to  work  at  the  Daily  Prophet  as  a  journalist.    She  remained  with  the  Daily  Prophet  until    November  1997,    when  it  became  apparent  that  the  wizarding  world  was  heading  into  war.    The  majority  of  Quinn’s  time  during  the  Second  Wizarding  War  is  spent  in  hiding,    keeping  a  low  profile  so  that  she  won’t  get  captured  by  Snatchers.    She  makes  a  reappearance  to  fight  in  the  Battle  of  Hogwarts  alongside  many  of  her  old  classmates.

H I S T O R Y

ONE  CAN  GET  AWAY  WITH          a  lot  when  they’re    beautiful.    It’s  a  matter  of  fact,    really.    The  more  breathtaking  a  person  is,    the  more  likely  they  will  be  SUCCESSFUL  in  life  and  forgiven  for  their  daily  sins.    At  least,  that’s  what  she  was  taught.

                    Born  into  a  long  line  of  PROUD  Slytherins  on  the    Nineteenth  of  January  1978,    Quinn  was  expected  from  birth  to  follow  in  her  family’s  footsteps.    The  Fabrays,    as  a  whole,    weren’t  the  most  friendly  of  people.    They  were  each  highly - opinionated  human  beings  who  thought  themselves  to  be  a  cut  above  everybody  else.    You  had  to  EARN  the  right  to  be  in  their  company,    and  if  you  were  Muggle - born,    you  might  as  well  have  not  existed,    despite  the  QUESTIONABLE  status  of  their  own  family’s  blood.    Quinn’s  mother  never  concealed  what  she  was,    and  never  wanted  her  children  to  either,    but  her  husband  was  obsessed  with  looks  and  insisted  that  she  and  their  offspring  proclaim  that  they  were  Pure - bloods.    They  weren’t  outright  followers  of  the  Dark  Lord,    but  Russel  always  held  him  in  HIGH  regard,    and  us  such,    her  mother  -----  the  terrified    sheep    that  she  was  -----  followed  suit.

                    Much  like  many  other  eleven - year - olds,    on  the  First  of  September,    she  was  carted  off  the  Hogwarts  on  the  Hogwarts  Express.    The  entire  journey  was  filled  with  the  BUZZ  of  excited  returning  students  and  students - to - be,  all  of  which  were  anticipating  the  busy  year  ahead.    They  arrived  in  the  Great  Hall,  and  one  by  one,    the  first - years  went,    eagerly    awaiting    the  moment  in  which  the  Sorting  Hat  would  be  placed  on  their  heads  and  they  would  be  sorted  into  their  Hogwarts  House.    By  the  time  it  was  Quinn’s  turn  to  be  sorted,    she  was  ready  to  take  up  the  family  honour.    To  her  left  stood  the  Slytherin  table,    sparked  with  shades  of  GREEN  and  silver  from  the  students’  robes,    each  other  carrying  a  sliver  of    pride    upon  their  chests.    The  hat  went  down,  her  eyes    c l o s e d,    and  then  her  world  got  turned  upside  down.

                    The  Sorting  Hat,    as  it  turned  out,  had  other  plans  for  her,    and  after  some  deliberation  she  stepped  away  from  the  stool  and  made  her  way  towards  the  RAVENCLAW  table.    Making  herself  at  home  among  the  sea  of  blue  was  not  an  easy  task,    and  after  everything  she  had  been  taught,    it  felt  like  a    betrayal    to  her  family  and  their  way  of  living.    She  was  very  quickly  blasted  the  dark  horse,  the    ‘  Fabray  family  let  down  ’,    and  in  the  weeks  that  followed,  her  parents  BARELY  acknowledged  her,    deciding  that    one    daughter  was  better  than  the  two  that  they  had  if  there  was  to  be  anything  but  a  Slytherin  in  the  household.    Suddenly,    it  was  like    n o t h i n g    she  ever  did  would  be  perfect.    She  could  share  their  opinions  and  try  to  PLEASE  them  as  much  as  she  wanted,    but  they  would  never  be  satisfied  with  what  she  did  as  long  as  she  was  a  part  of  Ravenclaw  House.

                    Over  time,  her  attention  turned  towards  her    appearance.    If  she  couldn’t  be  accepted  by  her  family,    she  could  at  least  be  loved  and  adored  by  her  PEERS.  

                    Quinn  had  always  been  a    c h a r m i n g    child,    and  the  older  she  got,    the  more  beautiful  she  became.    Once  puberty  hit,  all  hell  broke  loose.    It  was  like  nobody  could  get  enough  of  her.    The  boys  were  always  the  EASIEST  to  persuade,    and  for  a  while,    she  even  liked  the  attention,    but  it  made  the  girls  in  her  year    b i t t e r    and  jealous,    and  it  was  difficult  to  differentiate  between  true  friendships  and  HOLLOW  ones.    All  she  had  to  do  was  bat  her  eyelashes  and  say  a  couple  of  words,    and  everyone  would  go    crazy.    Making  friends  with  the  girls  in  her  dorm  came  from  the  promise  of  ATTENTION,    and  the  twinge  of  guilt  in  the  years  to  come  when  their  boyfriends    (  and  occasional  girlfriends  )    tried  to  flirt  with  her  right  in  front  of  them.

                    Being  beautiful  might  have  given  her  everything  she  ever  wanted,    but  when  it  wasn’t  genuine,    all  it  ever  did  was  make  her  feel  like  a  SHAM.    It  would  never  fill  the  gap  her  family  had  left  behind.    She  was  never  going  to  get  their  seal  of    approval,    and  all  of  her  relationships  were  a  lie.  Nothing  would  make  up  for  what  she  had  lost.

As  it  is  never  really  touched  upon  in  the  books  as  to  whether  those  affected  by  a  Veela’s  power  were  strictly  of  ONE  gender,    my  general    headcanon    is  that  it  only  affects  those  who  are  attracted  to  the  gender  of  the  Veela  themselves.    So  if  your  male  muse  is  only  attracted  to  other  male  muses,    they  will  not  be  affected  by  Quinn’s  charms,    since  she  is  female.    This  is,    of  course,  a  personal  headcanon,    and  you  are  more  than  welcome  to  have  your  muse  be  affected  by  her  if  you  so  wish.    Just  note  that  Quinn  doesn’t  often  reciprocate  those  feelings  and  usually  feels  a  mix  of  guilt  and  repulsion  unless  she’s  doing  it  on  purpose.

Unicorn Tail Hair - Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard.Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may ‘die’ and need replacing. BIOGRAPHY

Rita grew up knowing that looks alone wouldn’t be enough to get her ahead. Of course, she could rely on them to land her a nice husband, or perhaps a boyfriend, but if she wanted anything in life she would have to get it for herself. When her parents met, Rita’s father was working between the Magical world and the Muggle world. Her mother had just graduated university and was desperate for a job and a husband. The two met and hit it off. Four years later, they were married. But Rita’s father had to lie about his job and his life to his now wife. He told her he was an accountant at some firm, and it was a good enough of a lie to keep her from questioning it. So why would he tell her he was a wizard when his position changed and he would be allowed to tell her? Besides, they had a baby on the way. Why mess things up? 

When he saw an owl delivering a letter from Hogwarts for his daughter he realized he should have told the truth long ago. Rita’s mother was hurt. The whole wizard thing was shocking, of course, but she didn’t hate him for it. What she hated him for was the 15 years of keeping up an elaborate lie. 11-year-old Rita had no idea what being a witch even meant. But, going into Hogwarts, Rita refused to be uninformed. She pursued through all of her textbooks, but was disappointed that most of the books didn’t seem to even be written in this century. So, she questioned her father extensively, who bought her a books of Witch Weekly and Daily Prophet archives. This was where she found information that was actually relevant. Of course, she knew it mattered what a certain spell did, but she needed to be in the loop before she even arrived at Hogwarts. 

Rita’s parents informed her of their divorce when she came home. She wasn’t surprised by it in the slightest- they had been on shaken grounds when she left them in September, and they didn’t have a child to pretend to be happy around. Rita spends her time out of Hogwarts split between her father’s flat in Wizarding London and her mother’s home in the country. Both homes have gorgeous typewriters for her. She’s always found it easier to write about something. And so what if she bends the truth? It makes for a much better story.

It’s that time of the year again! On Sept. 6, 2018, people from all over the world flocked to New York to kick off the annual event, New York Fashion Week. Designers showed off their Spring/Summer 2019 lines, while the world’s biggest fashionistas sat front row.

Now, the reason I love NYFW is because I love to see what my favorite celebrities are wearing for the Pre-Fall season. Here are the top 5 celebs I was on the lookout for:

Jamie Chung

I look for Jamie Chung at NYFW every year because she’s one of my fashion inspirations. Due to some scheduling conflicts, she had a shorter trip this year and only made it to a few events and runway shows. But someone has to play Blink on Fox’s The Gifted and Jamie’s on it!

Jamie kicked off the week at the opening of Refinery29’s 29 Rooms pop-up exhibit with this years theme, Expand Your Reality. She chose to wear a two-piece tartan outfit by PAPER London.   Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell has proven to be a fashion force to reckon with over the past few years. The former Pretty Little Liars star took a few days off from promoting her new Lifetime mini-series You and kicked off fashion week at one of the most prestigious events, the Harper’s Bazaar “ICONS” Event.

  She stepped out in a beautiful gold and silver Julien MacDonald gown from his Spring 2018 RTW line. She was stunning and accessorized perfectly with her jewelry and a gold clutch. Gemma Chan

With the success of Crazy Rich Asians, Gemma Chan is the new star to keep an eye out on! Just like her character, Astrid, she is proving to be a fashion icon.   A few days later, she reunited with her CRA co-star Awkwafina at the Prabal Gurung fashion show. Prabal Gurung was one of the designers she wore during press for Crazy Rich Asians. Heart Evangelista

Heart Evangelista is the Philippines’ sweetheart. She has been an actress in the Philippines since she was in her teen years and has grown into one of the country’s biggest fashionistas.  Ever since I was young, I watched Heart on The Filipino Channel (TFC) and now on the GMA Network, and she’s still one of my favorite TV personalities. As a Filipino American, I’m so proud to see her making waves in the international fashion world.

Blake Lively

We all know Blake Lively is a huge fashion icon. She styles herself and rocks whatever she has on. So many people get on her about some of her fashion choices, but those opinions do NOT matter because Blake can hold her own.

She has been pretty busy promoting her latest movie, A Simple Favor, but she made some time in her busy schedule to attend the Ralph Lauren fashion show. Here are some honorable mentions:

Dianna Agron, one of my favorite Glee stars, came out from the shadows for NYFW. She attended both the Oscar De La Renta and Michael Kors shows wearing floral dresses from each designer.

Hailee Steinfeld looked fierce at the Tom Ford presentation and went tartan from head to toe at the Michael Kors show.

Barbara Palvin was spotted all over NYFW with boyfriend, Dylan Sprouse.  I think it’s safe to say that they are quite the fashionable couple. They made their red carpet debut at the Harper’s BAZAAR ‘ICONS’ event and ended NYFW at the Vanity Fair’s Best-Dressed 2018 party.
