How do you come up with names / last names for your characters??

it depends on the character ! most of the time my naming strat is 'one or two syllable first name two to four syllable last name' (eg. nova starbridge, diane lodestar, etc) or the inverse of that. i try and find a first name that fits the character/has a meaning that can relate to them and for the last name, it's usually a word that sounds cool (eg. octavia scrimshaw) or two words smashed together (eg. clyde blacktooth)
