The Bracelets are the same ✨

Kate debuted this three-stranded bracelet of cultured pearls during the Cambridges’ visit to Germany in July 2017. The piece belonged to her mother-in-law, the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The jewel was made by Nigel Milne to support Birthright, one of Diana’s charities, in 1988.

People are saying that Kate’s wearing Diana’s bracelet today, but here she is in 2008 wearing a 3 strand pearl bracelet that look similar? The one from Diana is 4 strands, right?

Dismantled/Sold Jewels 2/?

After Prince Charles and Princess Diana announced their engagement, a number of organizations rushed to find suitable presents for the royal couple. The National Association of Goldsmiths choose designer Lexi Dick to create this gold necklace with matching earrings for Diana.

After Lexi completed her initial sketch for the design, it was sent to the palace for approval and an inquiry about which stone the Princess would prefer. Diana chose sapphires telling the designer, “they’re my favorites, and the Prince’s as well.” Diana even suggested the center motif, originally meant to be a unicorn, be changed to the Prince of Wale’s feathers.

The final result of the design is this white and yellow gold necklace set with sapphires surrounded by clusters of flowers and matching earrings. Unfortunately I don’t believe Diana was photographed publicly wearing this gift.

An article from 2007 mentions this set was on loan to the Kazanjian Foundation Jewels for Charity program. It was on loan for the charity and believed to have been quietly sold by Diana and on loan from its new private owner.
