Furthermore, it is estimated that about 15% of seven million people with diabetes mellitus in Germany suffer from Diabetic Foot Syndrome (DFS). Alarmingly, studies reveal that almost 50% of patients with Diabetic Foot Syndrome (DFS) have had major or minor amputations.
