Order Process
Digital Art Commission
First contact me with your commission details to ask for a slot. - Please try to provide a clear, itemized text description. - I can work from text only in most cases, but I recommend having at least one reference picture. - If you don't have previous art of your character, a small collection of pictures (drawings or photos) to help me depict the character/pose/outfit/etc. is ok too. Feel free to use this order form, it is not mandatory but I recommend you to include the following elements in your description as they will help me creating the artwork. Link: ebonydragon.free.fr/commission… Once I have an idea of what you want and after payment is received, your slot will be secured and I'll add you to my worklist. I will then produce a basic draft for pose/composition and will submit it to you for approval. If you are happy with the rough, I'll proceed to inking/coloring. Once I start this stage I'll only offer to do small changes so be sure to provide all information beforehand. I do not send the lineart for approval because I simply do not have such a step. I do the lines and the colors at the same time, which means I constantly tweak everything until the art is complete. I may send a WIP to the client if I want to confirm something though. When your picture is completed, I'll send two copies of it to you by e-mail (one at full resolution and a web/screen-friendly file). I create fully rendered illustrations in 300 dpi, at A4 format. Other commissions are drawn at smaller size. I provide commissioners with JPG files and sometimes PNG. Other formats may be possible, if specified beforehand.
Other Commission Types
For traditional/mixed media or digital media that will be printed and shipped to you (like badges), the process is somewhat different as I generally do not offer roughs or revisions. So you will need to provide fully accurate visuals references and descriptions, or be completely fine with artistic leeway.

Digital Media
Portraits
What I consider as portraits are characters posing for the viewers and pictures that put an emphasis on things like physical features, overall design and personality.
Tumblr media
Bust --- 30 euros Halfbody --- 50 euros Fullbody --- 70 euros • Notes • A8 format for busts, A6 for halfbody and fullbody. Halfbody can vary between waist and knee length, depending on the level of details and overall what I think will be aesthetically best. Background: Minimal (like a simple shape or a color wash), possibly something more detailed at my own discretion.
Illustrations
The illustration category is for pictures containing storytelling elements, with characters shown in a scene, doing a specific action, displaying emotions, etc.
Tumblr media
No or minimal background • Usually the same prices as portraits Full canvas with background • 120€ (sample above) Full canvas with complex background* • 150€+  • Notes • A6 format for first category, A4 for the rest. The drawing may vary from a thigh-up to a fullbody. The type of shot will usually depend on what I think is best in terms of composition, although you are allowed to state a preference before I start working on the rough. *complex background = surroundings requiring a lot of specific details than need to be drawn rather than implied.
Experimental/Wing-it
If you are ok with full artistic leeway (no rough and revisions), you can ask for this option. Price range is 55-75€, A6 format.

Categories & Rates
You will find below the types of commissions I usually offer. If you'd like something not listed here, feel free to ask for a quote. The prices listed are for an artwork featuring a single character and for personal commissions only. I usually charge a flat rate, but price may be adjusted according to complexity or size. For multiple characters, I will charge according to art type and body shot. Small props are free of charge, unless there are a lot of them or they have complex designs.

Terms of Service
Copyright
I retain the full rights to the image, including the right to display it for public viewing and the right to reproduce and use the art as I see fit (portfolio usage, promotion, etc.). Unless otherwise agreed upon, the commissioned artwork may only be used for your personal usage. Clients retain rights to the characters they created, however this does not allow them rights to the commissioned image. Feel free to do the following with personal commissions you buy from me: - Resize and/or crop the art, and use it for icons, signatures, personal website/webpage layouts or wallpapers for your desktop. Other edits are fine as long as there are no alterations to the art itself (for example it's ok to add a colored overlay layer or reduce the opacity, but you cannot modify the lines or recolor the image). - Make a print of the image as long as it is for personal use and no profit or redistribution is made. - Post the commission to your personal websites, webpages or galleries, however credit is required (a link back would be appreciated too) and I do ask that you use a web-friendly copy, not the high resolution file. If you need to use the commission for something else, speak to me and I will let you know if it's ok with me or not. Also the transaction is solely between me and a single client (the person who pays for the art). If the art was specifically bought to be gifted to a third party, then the person who receives the artwork has permission to use it for the three points listed above as well. Anyone else cannot use the commission without my consent. The creation of OCs [Originals Characters] is not included in commission prices, therefore if you request art of a random character instead of an OC, the character and its design will be fully owned by me and it may not be re-used unless otherwise negociated. I also reserve the rights to all redesigns (outfits/hairstyle/weapons/etc.) of characters within commissions, i.e. anything that you did not create or include in your original reference images, as redesigns are not automatically included in commission prices either. I however give commissioners permission to reuse redesigns, as long as it's for personal usage. Any form of commercial usage is not allowed.
The rates mentioned here are only for personal commissions, the client doesn't have the right to resell my artwork in any form, or use it for commercial or promotional purposes. Image rights (commercial exploitation, reproduction, printing, redistribution, editing) can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. In that case, the commission will fall under commercial commissions, with significant higher rates. Any desired rights need to be specified/discussed prior to the acceptance of the commission and a signed contract will be required. I will retain all rights not negotiated and/or paid for. The following requests (these are just a few examples) would count commercial commissions: - Making prints of the artwork for selling or promotional purposes - Book illustrations or covers, games, ads or any other published works without expressed written permission, whether you make a profit or not - Layouts or graphics for commercial/promotional websites and social media - Adoptables
Payment
Payment must be made before I start any work. I will let you know my Paypal details once we agree on the commission specifics and amount. I will also require you to provide me with your full name and address, as a professional artist, I need to keep a proper invoice for my sales.
Revisions & Refunds
It is the client's responsibility to provide all necessary information before I start working. You are able to give me feedback in the rough phase for digital art (see 'order process' for more info). However, if you ask for excessive changes, I will charge an extra fee for them. Regarding refunds, if the client chooses to cancel the commission after preliminary works (sketch/rough) have started, I will refund 50% of the commission if full upfront payment has been made. After inking/coloring has started, there will be no refund issued.
Dos & Don’ts
Browsing my gallery should probably tell you that I tend to specialize in fantasy art. I'm open to draw most genres and types of characters though, as it's an opportunity for me to learn new things and expand my abilities. That said, please be realistic with your expectations, I'm probably not going to be the right artist if you want things like heavy machinery, very complex perspective or super-buff characters. I will not draw porn or anything overtly sexual. Commissions involving the following subject matters will be taken on a case-by-case basis: nudity, violence, gore, fanart, real people. In any case, I reserve the right to decline any commission without giving a reason.
