This scene carries nothing but two people leaving each other in the mid-way of their 'mohabbat'

but why?

Bcz they were married?

The way Dev Saran remembered the exact date of first time his meeting Maya is not a natural 'married guy' way to say that he was thinking himself a married man that time (i.e. the time he first saw Maya in her wedding day!)

Dev saved that date as his first time seeing Maya instead of as his and Rhea's marriage anniversary!

After 4 years of that meeting when Dev again saw Maya the old love started to show up its potential this time with much more passion to be exposed and probablity of getting caught.

That didn’t stop any of them to step out of their respective conjugal life and instead it is just two people started getting close to each other in the guise of solving their own marital life disarray.

Still they both have decided to end it there when the whole marriage thing have lost its core value. Their spending night at hotel together was the last neil in the coffin of trust and faith (which as husband and wife, two people share together with the bonding called 'marriage'.)

"then Why?!"

Such an open-ended mystery.

One thing i will never believe about Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is that this movie not for a single moment has given any encouragement to Extra-marital affair.

Without being too bias to any side or gender it has shown some core emotional-conflict between two married people who lost their courage while fighting over those in their mind. And they lost the fight to such extent that they couldn’t master up the courage to confess their fault at a proper moment.

No matter how far they've had their feelings for each other their partners got it confessed very late when in those 6 months they too were trying to confront them in their way. For Rhea she started saying and acknowledging Dev even after heavy fighting and for Rishi both argumenting and loving and showing care.

So in the end Maya who's reputation for not being capable to open her mouth at proper time broke Rishi's trust on her. Dev just ended it the most unlikely way by telling that he wants to start afresh about their marriage. Yes, it was unlikely bcz since the beginning of the movie Dev Saran never not for once showed any respect regarding his marriage with Rhea.

So, it's a request to all audience whoever wana watch it or already watched this movie, "Don't be so quick to make conclusion"

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is the most chaotic movie and no matter how many time you watch it this movie will trigger you every time with new thoughts to light upon.
