General (Retd.) Asad Durrani's Fallacy
General Asad Durrani (R) has given a long interview to the BBC where he discussed all  domestic and international affairs in detail, but he seems to be a victim of delusion about  India. His position is that India is no longer a threat to Pakistan. Since 5 August 2019,  India has been embroiled in its own internal problems and is unable to do anything on  Pakistan's eastern border. However, there may be an action like Balakot for which you  have to be prepared.   Durrani's statement that India is no longer a threat to Pakistan but issues pertaining to  Turkey, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are new challenges and threats is presumptuous and  totally against the facts. Like in the past, today the real threat to Pakistan is India.  Issues that we are facing with Saudi Arabia and Iran are linked to this. If Saudi Arabia  moves closer to India, it is natural for it to have an effect on Pakistan. Similarly, if Iran  moves closer to India, it automatically distances itself from Pakistan. India forces its  allies to distance themselves from Pakistan. India is encircling Pakistan by operating  from Afghanistan. By increasing its influence in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab  Emirates, it is trying to create a gulf between Pakistan and these states. India continues to  remain a big threat and has been creating smaller threats for Pakistan (in the shape of  impacting Pakistan’s relations with the gulf states and Iran). It is useful to ask as to who  revealed it to General Asad Durrani that India is no longer a threat; perhaps the  ‘international donor’ who is sponsoring his research told this to him in his ear.

Indian terrorism and the responsibility of international community
DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar has said that Pakistan has submitted a dossier to the  UNSC about India’s involvement in terrorism inside Pakistan. The world has taken the  dossier seriously, Babar added. He said that Pakistan would not stop and would take  the matter further. India’s facilitation of international terrorism is not a secret (A’alami  dhashatgardi mei Bharati sohulatkari ki haqeeqat dunya ki nazaroon se o’jhal  nahin). However, the Western media and the government have not commented on it  because of clever use of diplomacy and effective media propaganda.
Pakistan should expose India’s malicious agenda before the international community. It  appears difficult at the moment. But in the changing context, Pakistan is likely to have a  major say (Ba’zahir mushkil dekhai deta hai magar tabdeel shuda a’alami halaat mei  Pakistan ka panna wazan hai). Moreover, the role of India is such that it is no more in  the interest of the West to ignore it. Daesh is considered the biggest threat to the West  and there is enough evidence of the presence of Indian-origin people in Daesh.
Which nation in South Asia can claim to be safe from India’s clutches? Indeed, India is a  big market because of its population. But that is not an excuse for the West to keep getting blackmailed: how long can it be indifferent to exclusionary nationalism in, and  export of terrorism by India?
