Coffee Grinder "Classes" I'm currently using a Hario Skerton Pro hand grinder, and am looking to move to an electrical grinder. The popular upgrade path seems to be (roughly):L1~150$: Baratza EncoreL2~300$: Fellow Ode/Gen2 - Baratza VirtuosoL3~500$: DF64 - Baratza VarioL4~1000$: Niche ZeroI have seen other grinders like the Wilfa Uniform or the Breville Smart Grinder, but they don't seem to pop up as much in comparisons, or in threads.It seems to me that the thing the bothers me the most with my hand grinder, the lack of uniformity at higher grind sizes, wont be resolved by getting an electric grinder. Rather what I will be getting in convenience and if I pick right versatility of grind size.I'm looking more to experiment with coffee rather than to excel in one specific brew method, I was wondering what the opinions/options were. I was originally just intending to skip the Encore for "something better" but grinder cost seems to go up exponentially with class rather than linearly. The difference between skipping the Encore and skipping straight to the Niche Zero/Duo, is really different.I don't think I'll be going for the Niche any time soon because it's a big investment but it seems to me that the pick between the Fellow Ode 2 and DF64 will be how much I'm able to experiment in the realm of espresso.Does that sound about right? Keith Urban, Ringo Starr and More Stars React to Chuck Berry's Death

The music industry is mourning the loss of Chuck Berry.

The 90-year-old singer died on Saturday, according to the St. Charles County Police Department, which confirmed via Facebook that he did not respond to lifesaving techniques after first responders arrived on the scene.

Considered a pioneer of rock and roll music, Berry influenced generations of musicians who followed, many of whom took to social media to mourn his death.

The Jacksons also paid tribute to Berry on Twitter, thanking the singer for casting "one of the longest shadows" in music.

"Chuck Berry was a rock and roll original.  A gifted guitar player, an amazing live performer, and a skilled songwriter whose music and lyrics captured the essence of 1950s teenage life," reads a statement by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, obtained by ET. "It's fitting that he was the first person inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as he influenced everyone who has picked up a guitar after him. Today, we celebrate his life. Hail Hail, Chuck Berry."

Removing Static from Grinder Easily

Removing Static from Grinder Easily My DF64 was driving me crazy with its static issues. I was literal losing over a gram of coffee to it flying up onto the grinder. So what I recently did was, I opened it up, found a ground wire, and attached that to the burr chamber. Boom, zero static. The grinder's body can no longer hold a charge.I'm really questioning why the grinder doesn't come like this. It's one wire, I didn't even need to solder I just used some conductive tape. This is my trusty old Faema grinder, it runs like a champ, if a little slowly, while grinding espresso. Not much in the way of amusing anecdotes or drama to share aside from the poor thing taking a minor tumble in an icy parking lot after passing through two friends on its way to me from an FB marketplace seller. The old girl is a trooper, but the portafilter fork doesn’t seem to match up with any the stuff I’ve poked at it with, the oddball integrated tamper makes it take up extra counter space and it definitely doesn’t even pretend to be doserless, it also seems to dispense nearly as much espresso onto the countertop as into a portafilter, Oh, the humanity! I quite enjoy this simple setup (especially the super quick ready mode), but my partner misses the bean to cup machine we had before (a good DeLonghi).The Sage/Breville Barista Express Impress looks nice but the steam wand is manual.
