I love headcannon that depict Moon and Pearl not getting along. Moon being the instigator of the conflicts. I see poor Pearl babysitting young Moon. Such as taking away her poisons when she being reckless/curious. Or reading her science books at nap time, In which Pearl's mind starts to spin. I can see Dia more as a peace maker between the two. Giving advice to Pearl when Moon is acting up, while Dia can talk it out to Moon when Pearl is being too strict.

Another idea I have is that Moon doesn't understand Dia and Pearl's jokes. She asks too much question and talk about how the joke doesn't make sense in a practical way.

Furthermore, I feel that in Moon's mind she see's both Pearl and Dia within Sun. For Pearl it's his determination, battle skill, and will to get 100,000,000 yen or get a package unharmed. As for Dia, it's his carefree and being empathetic for others such as Tapu Bulu for people building on its sacred land and Kiawe for his struggles to eventually go abroad.

I apologize for the long headcannon, but I really love the topic. I really want to share out my thoughts on Moon interactions with Pearl and Dia.

I love the idea of Pearl and Moon constantly snarking on each other, especially for what we were shown about them. Pearl constantly feels responsible for the others and Moon has always been too mature for her age, so they'll constantly butt heads for who's in command, but in the end they love each other and they'll help where the other has problems.

And as for Dia, he's just too caring and lovable for Moon to make fun of, so I can totally see both her and Pearl going to him for advice on the other when they have a particularly bad fight.

The idea of Moon seeing both of them in Sun is pretty interesting, I hadn't really thought about it, but it does make a lot of sense. Kinda the situation where she can't bother with him at first, but as they're forced to stay together she realizes that "Oh, he's just like them." and finally softens up to him and maybe she realizes she's just like Platinum too.

please, always feel free to send me headcanons like this, it's always fun to read them, especially if they're about the Dexholders who never met and how they would interact.

why are there dexholder names for like every color besides orange???? Like what??? “Oh but there’s Scarlet!!” SCARLET’S A RED-ORANGE. AND WHO THE HELL SAYS “Red, SCARLET, yellow, green, blue, violet” LIKE NO ONE SAYS THAT. Violet I can see either way like. Violet can substitute purple. Hell we even got like the neutral colors like Black, Silver, and White alongside like other random colors (and gemstones??) like Gold and Crystal and Ruby and Sapphire and Emerald and Diamond and Pearl and Platinu- WHERES ORANGE POKESPE. WHERE ARE THEY. PLEASE. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU. THIS IS SUCH A PET PEEVE. PLEASE. KUSAKA AND YAMAMOTO I KNOW YOURE THERE.

Pokespe Dexholders and what I think of their names:

Red: No complaints here. But I do have to remind myself that he’s a different person than the nonverbal game Red.

Blue/Green (m): Solid name right there.

Blue/Green (f): Also a good name.

Yellow: I like it!

Gold: It works to distinguish him from Ethan, so that’s good.

Silver: Good name.

Crystal/Crys: Our first name that is ACTUALLY a remotely normal sounding name in the English language. Good for her.

Ruby: Honestly, I first thought that this character would be May’s manga counterpart. But no. Turns out Ruby is Brendan’s manga counterpart.

Sapphire: The actual manga counterpart of May.

Emerald: We are now getting into the “why would someone name their child that” territory.

Diamond/Dia: At least he has a nickname.

Pearl: What is so wrong with the name “Barry?”

Platinum Berlitz: I hate this name. Who would look at their daughter and decide “Platinum” is a good name? If you ask me, she’s the one who should have been named Pearl. If I had my way, the Sinnoh Dexholders would be named Diamond (Lucas), Pearl (Dawn), and Barry.

Black: This could have been his last name, but no.

White: Again, this is better suited as a surname than a given name.

Blake: Well at least this one is an actual first name.

Whitley: I sometimes confuse this one for Whitney, but it’s okay.

X: Very mysterious. I like it.

Y (Yvonne Gabena): Not bad.

Sun: Neutral on this one.

Moon: This one’s also okay.

Henry Sword: I like his Japanese name better (Soudo).

Casey Shield: I like the name “Schilly” better, but I cannot remember her full Japanese name.

Scarlet Koito: Not much of an opinion. But at least she has a full name.

Violet Lang: Same situation as Ruby.
