How do the mice, rats, and bats see butterflies?

I like to imagine Sorcha has kept a pet butterfly before

As talked about in this post, Baji had the wonderful idea that the rodents have domesticated caterpillars into big fat fluffy weird breeds, and I know for a fact that Rilla definitely had dainty, darling pet butterflies when she was a wee girlie. There’s competitions for showing off your special breed of caterpillar/moth/butterfly, and flight demonstrations.

I could see Sorcha with a Luna moth, but honestly, I see her with a spider more. She found Samite when he was a tiny little thing and had hurt one of his legs. She cared for him, sang to him and fed him drops of water and crumbs, and in return he became her devoted companion. Samite knew she loved beautiful things so he spun stunning patterns in his webs for his rescuer - dewdrops could dazzle on them in the morning and in the wintertime, snowflakes alighted on them very prettily. He kept away all manner of pests and creepy crawlies from her room, and in return, Sorcha continued to feed him and croon to him as he spun above her bed. He was her first and last pet - losing him was too much to go through again, and she had already been through far too much loss.
