Was just in the mood to redraw my old crossover of Samus and Dark Samus as Devil Hunter and Devil Slayer (Dante and Vergil from Devil May Cry). (I just wanted to draw Samus with a sword again and thought why not)

i know this is nothing more than a non canon voice actor choice that has happened for multiple reasons i recognise and understand and it is nothing to even consider looking into. but the idea of Nero sounding just like Dante did when he was younger is driving me up the wall

In a casual visit at Nero’s place Vergil comes to learn that Dante got his grubby mitts on Yamato in DMC4. He politely excuses himself and asks to use the phone.

Vergil listens to monotone beeping until Dante finally picks up with his cheery customer voice, “Devil May Cry~”

“Dante…”

“Awww, did ‘ya miss me? You've only been at the kids’ place for like a few hours.”

“Hardly. I was simply made aware of the fact that you, for a short while, came into possession of Yamato.”

“I meeeean, yeah?” he slowly admitted with some anxiety peeking through. “I couldn't let it rest in the hands of some crazy cultists now, could I?”

“You mistreated her.”

“I wouldn't go that far…”

“Dante, you fired rounds into her kashira.”

“Erm, n-no?”

“I suggest you start drafting your final will, but I'm all too familiar with the fact that there’s hardly anything of value to your name, not to mention such course of action would be far too responsible of you. So instead you should find whatever disgusting swirl passes as your favourite drink and savoir it, for it will be the last thing you enjoy in this mortal plain. Good day.” Vergil slams the receiver of the phone back in its cradle and takes a deep breath.

Nero awkwardly clears his throat, “So… Do I have to prevent a murder today?”

I really love that instead of going to therapy with childhood PTSD and autism spectrum disorder like a responsible adult, Vergil was like “what if I just fucking stab myself with my magic sword”.
