they do a lot to bring Continua to life, to preserve what they could of their planets. In data and paper, blood and seeds. It gave Dlicti much to work with.

Perpep: Well for one, she just turned 14, and she thinks this year she's gonna be mean. (Boys will be bugs) She has a lot of songs though, she goes through some pretty intense character development so thats pretty understandable i think. Not to mention her plurality. The Perfect Pair by beabadoobee is certainly a her song. Oh and Hole Dwelling by Kikuo obviously. the GumiWorms, i think, english cover is my favorite. That song in particularly a relapse song. Reckless Wreckingball for one is a song i think she and Somati would sing on Continua during their band arc. Give her playlist a look and see if you can figure out why each songs there!

Bucket: Hazy Miss Dazy pretty much in its entirety. "Your friends are laughing and you take your time," like. if any song is her, especially B-Side her, thats it. Some runner ups are recently, by Liana Flores, which is a big chronic fatigue syndrome song, and Rest Employed by stupendium which is encapsulates the feeling of her divinity i think.

Aesket: Don't you mess with a little girl's dream, cause she's liable to grow up mean, " from Control, Poe. One of the three main songs i associate with her, the first three in her playlist.

Acried "Cricket" "Mod Locust" Acrilo: the song 'I wanna haunt you by Isaac Turner is him, though Let Me Out by Nelward is too. I do think funnily enough that ECHO, like the ... miku song? i think? fits really well. it was actually the seed for his playlist even if i dont suuuper like it.

Calixtus: Willard! by Will Wood. That is the Them song. They however have a seriously solid playlist. i can't say any of them dont fit them, except Privately Owned Spiral Galaxy which doesnt really fit them but sounds like how i think they'd sound so gdhsg.

Somati Visoma: Madhouse by Matt Maltese, Don't Let's Start by They Might Be Giants, and Evil Eye by Franz Ferdinand. in that order. Somati's playlist is pretty fuckin solid though like Cali's so take a browse thru it and listen to some that seem interesting. One song that is particularly intense for him when hes older on Alternia is Eat Your Heart by the Steam Powered Giraffes. Zombie by the Cranberries too, im thinking for his band with Perpep. Be Gay, Do Drugs, Hail Satan by Supercassette and Say it Ain't So by yeah, Weezer are both also him, particularly pre-sburb on beforus.

Ferics: They actually have a song on Somati's playlist, its Another Medium, the undertale song... Ferics is hard for me to pick songs out for, evidenced by my lack of playlist for them. I think Home and This Is Home by Cavetown are good picks though.

Plexus Axilla: ouhhh my shaylaaaa. I have a lot for her, but one im particularly magnetized to right now is Blue Lips by Regina Spektor

Vulkan Gemnat, the dancestor of bucket, she has a whole playlist. Ultraviolence by Lana Del Ray. SWABABG by She Wants Revenge as much as i resent the metatext of the song. Not my favorite playlist.

Out of all of my player characters Dlicti is the one i struggle with getting in the head of the most. Mainly because most of her story shes a passive element being moved around by others. It's only in the downtime and the quiet moments that she establishes herself through many small moments. I have a feeling the songs shed listen to would have minimal words and mostly be Jazz and other mostly low and fluid genres. I dont have a playlist for her at all, so have my gigantic pile of jazz videogame covers instead.

so alternia and beforus are different universe versions of eachother! two universes that are kind of the majoras mask and ocarina of time of eachother, a deck of cards shuffled differently. Because of stuff that happens in Sburb, things go topsy turvy in one when compared to the other, for wierd reasons.

the short form is generally that ancestors and descendants switch places, the canon reason for this is directly because of sburb and would likely not actually affect others directly in the same way, but thats not as fun.

Cherie is the Alternian Ocosmo, which implies he is the Dancestor (Descendant & Ancestor), of Cosmos, in one universe he is the descendant, and the other he would be the ancestor.

Dancestors and their Dancestors usually have intertwined stories, not always though, Aranea Serket on Alternia basically dominates Vriska Serket's entire set of aspirations as a kid, and her life is like a... part narrative foil, part road map to her own.

Theyre a case study on nature vs. nurture and a fun thing to make an alternate universe version of a character

on continua when the Prawnnap and the Gardener are in a fix-it-fic style moirailigance, she totally scruffs him when hes about to do something stupid and or problematic

So i have a hard time viewing humans as seperate from animals or even programs, myself included. Theres never been any divine spark of humanity that sets us apart that ive ever been able to see, and all that. we're just advanced in program terms, and heavily adapted in evolutionary terms. Once I heard that line of thought that 'if you could rewind time and play back the universe from the start, no matter how many times you played it, everything would be the same,' it was over for any concept of inherent guilt or evil for me, no matter how slow its death.

Detheo Ordeor does not have empathy. That's not to say he holds any ill will towards others of his species, he just doesn't feel it. He isn't stupid either. The trope of psychopath and sociopath to a slightly lesser extent is a caricature so intense that it feels wrong almost to the point of revulsion to seriously apply it to someone, thats why the medical field doesn't use it officially anymore. The social zietgeist latched on to this concept of a person who they heard 'does not feel empathy' and interpolated as someone who is inherently wrong, mean, base, evil. It gives an impregnable moral highground, to Other someone. No matter how bad you are, there is someone worse. Once you have the concept of a Bad Person and a Good Person, well... Its a way to protect the mind from the pain that comes with becoming better. The growing pains. It is a stunting method, and it enables-- encourages-- great cruelty.

Detheo Ordeor is a conservationist. He treats every minute animal in his care with exactly that, care. He grew up in a world that would at the drop of a hat let him do any kind of evil thing as long as it was hidden just out of sight through a guise of beneficence. That guise however was enough to steer him in the right direction. He took it to heart, he had yet learned the concept of false pretenses, so he took their word at face value. the idea that any living thing should be preserved, that loss of information was a vast error, that the small are beautiful, and that every species deserves dignity, all took root in him before he had the time to realize the truth of the ulterior motive, and when he learned of that truth, he was disgusted.

Detheo struggles with obsession. In his younger years he had romantic crushes who we would recognize as 'favorite persons.' By the time he was working for the empire's internal security division, his tendency towards obsessions was long since a beast he learned to divert, redirect, control, and harness.

Detheo has amazing self control. Formed like a callous. Chafing, Chafing, Chafing. Learned through trial and error and error and error.

By the time he was an adult he was in near total control.

And then he saw a small grub.

Perpep is psychic. She is a strong psychic, and suddenly the jabbing of his self against his calloused hands jabbed at a soft spot. A tender spot of so so thin skin it had never touched before.

Without the automation of instinct, Detheo learned the world like a learning neural network. He was not guided by preprogrammed functions, he guided himself. Because of this he understood so much more than his peers. He had to, he didnt have the luxury of that social instinct. He moves with grace but he is not graceful. He moves with grace because he is in his element. Detheo is clumsy, inarticulate, rehearsed. This line was not in the script. He was not supposed to feel this- intrusive outflowing of feeling. Like walking into a room and experiencing smell for the first time. And your first ever smell is perfume or decay or an onion, cut, held under the nose.

This uniquely limeblood sect of psionics functions as empathy bypassing body language bypassing mirror neurons bypassing empathy. What Detheo didn't have. An onion is a powerful smell, but you have smelled strong smells before, you know how to deal with them. You know how to avoid sensation, you know how to hold your breath. Swimming in ice cold water is easier when you know how to swim.

i don't think. he would need any actually. Detheo Ordeor (B) i mean... everything awful about him is isolated to his obsession with Perpep... that and his belief in the culling system and raveri-esque need to be sitting in a dark room staring at cameras, but those two are more like quirks that could become flaws if left unchecked...

Keep away from psionic limebloods... Reacts violently to continued and/or forced social interaction... needs control over his own space..? that last one is just for everyone...... do not seperate from emotional support limeblood.
