Given enough, is this child version of him doomed to repeat the same path he already could not escape from . Property of the world government, beholden to the celestial dragons, this version of me that cannot go free?

It’s interesting that Vegapunk joined the government so that he could do the most good, but look at the long line of people right infront of him that he’s hurt with his own hands.

Was thinking about your Dave/Karkat/Gamzee ntr story again and think it would be funny if Dave texted Gamz to try to tell him to stay the fuck away from Karkat, and Gamz just texted him back, “haha. cool story bro. here’s a video of me plowing your boyfriend two nights ago :o)” and Dave just has a solid cry/wank.

ah i love dave trying to stand up to gamzee. you know their convo together right after gamzee turns? that whole thing where he's laughing it off until he realizes gamzee might be serious and also know things about him that he shouldn't and then you get the sense he's getting anxious about it but trying not to let it show. it's a good scene i think, love gamzee suddenly gaining the upperhand on people in a convo and freaking them out. i think it especially works with dave just bc of how he is? idk how to describe it. like he's tying to fight a storm. it's sort of funny. and the fucking is a fun bonus on top of that.

Also for anyone reading saviour complex, I’m literally terrible at writing chapter notes so I just word vomit here:

I find people pleasing to exist in the same realm as Astarion thinking he’s ‘manipulating people’. He’s scared and using all the tools at his disposal to be safe, and so is Haven. Haven is at her core a people pleaser: she cares when people are upset, she cares when people don’t like her. She does what she has to to be safe. So the entirety of chapter 3 is a double edged sword: she wants to be liked, Astarion has realised how she can like him. And she’s going to hate it, because they’re two sides of the same coin, but she can’t turn it off either and it means our sweet baby Haven is also manipulating him in turn. It’s transactional and not, and they both loathe themselves for it. And it’s DELICIOUS.

like logically i know wildfires happen anyway like theyre a natural thing but isnt there something apocalyptic about wildfires becoming SO common and SO destructive to where the past few years ive regularly experienced wildfire smoke here on long island, a place that doesnt naturally experience many wildfires, and the only reason we’re being hit with this smoke is because it has traveled hundreds of miles from across the country. And every year theres record heat waves and people dying. And every year theres record strong storms and hurricanes. And every year tornadoes are suddenly becoming more common outside tornado alley. just what is going on anymore man i just feel this vague sense of dread and doom all the time
