grammarly is nice for catching errors I might have missed and catches more than default spellcheckers, but its suggestions also often suck or are actually just wrong so you somewhat ironically need to already have a good grasp of grammar to use it

#despite how I sometimes type my grasp of grammar and spelling are usually quite good #so long as my brain is turned on #and I'm bothering to double-check what I write for errors #the issue is these are often both not true #I'll cut grammarly some slack as I also often find grammatical errors where there are actually none #sometimes I will be like 'that feels wrong. dunno why but it feels wrong'#and then I look it up and it turns out the thing I took issue with was actually perfectly fine. or I was the one who was wrong
