KDA In Excelsis: Ch9 (The King’s Avatar AU, CEO!Hakyeon, Gamer!Hongbin, VIXX x OCs )  Character Charts [x]
"Hongbin, Hana and I are making spaghetti, could you get the groceries?” Hakyeon asked, when they all gathered in the dorm kitchen.
“Yeah, but I need to use your car, Chansik borrowed mine.”
“Well Jaehwan and Wonshik took mine, so you’ll have to walk.” Hakyeon stuffed the grocery list in Hongbin’s jacket pocket before the latter could complain. “Take the kids to help you carry them back.”
Mingyu, BamBam, and Yugyeom raised a ruckus about having to walk to the mart but Hakyeon threatened: “Anyone who won’t help out isn’t getting any dinner!”
Mingyu headlocked Sooyeon: “That means you have to go with us too!”
Hakyeon blinked. “That’s not necessary, Sooyeon could help us here...”
Hana was glancing from Hongbin to Sooyeon, then raised her hand. “I’ll go too!”
“No, you’re staying here,” Hongbin refused.
“Why?” she countered.
“Let’s just wait here, Hana,” Hakyeon suggested. “You don’t want to get tired before cooking, the mart is pretty far.”
“Sooyeonie.” Hana caught the end of Sooyeon’s sweater sleeve and looked up at her.
She blinked rapidly. “You’re looking like you should be kissed again.”
“Again?!” Hakyeon and Hongbin echoed.
“You’ll go with me to the mart?” Hana asked.
“I’ll go with you anywhere,” she said, still blinking.
“Let’s go.” Hana linked arms with Sooyeon and steered her towards the door.
“You don’t even know the way!” Hongbin griped. He grasped Mingyu by the collar and followed them out of the dorm.
“This is no way to treat the future captain of this team!!” Mingyu choked out, seizing BamBam and Yugyeom by the hems of their shirts and dragging them with him.
“Yeah, yeah, you can say that when you’re captain,” Hongbin scoffed.
They traipsed to the mart, everyone in mostly high spirits as the kids played with each other on the way. They bought every item on Hakyeon’s list and filled the rest of the cart with snacks. When the items were bagged, Hongbin seized several bags, leaving them with two each and telling the kids to give the smaller bags to the women.
The way back to the dorm seemed to take longer, now that they were weighed down by bags. Sooyeon managed to keep up with Hongbin as he walked steadily, but the kids trailed behind, complaining, Hana trudging silently with them.
Suddenly, Sooyeon heard Hana’s gasp and a slight scuffle. She and Hongbin turned to find her with Mingyu grasping her elbow. “You’re okay, you’re okay,” the youngster murmured.
“What happened? Are you dizzy? I told you to stay in the dorm!” Hongbin was hovering around her, frowning.
“It’s not that, I just stumbled,” Hana explained, but Hongbin knelt before her, presenting his back. “What are you doing?”
“I’m the captain,” he insisted. “I take care of my team members.”
"I'm fine.” She backed away from him and tried to hide behind Mingyu.
“Move,” Hongbin ordered. Mingyu took one big step away from Hana and Hongbin looped his jacket around her skirt and tied it.
“Hey!” she shrieked when he carried her in his arms. “Hongbin!”
“I don’t want to have to explain to Hakyeon-hyung that you got sick.” He marched ahead, despite Hana’s complaints.
“Wow.” Sooyeon clapped slowly. “What drama is this?”
“That’s great and all, but look.” Yugyeom pointed at the shopping bags that Hongbin had left on the street.
“So extra.” BamBam shook his head.
“Hana-noona got into videogames because her body is kind of weak,” Mingyu explained. “But not that weak. He’s so dramatic sometimes.”
“So unnecessary.” BamBam lamented.
Yet Sooyeon noticed that they all had wry grins on their faces as they picked up the additional bags, not letting her take any more.
When they arrived at the dorm, Hana was sitting on the kitchen counter, with Hongbin standing beside her. “Finally!” she hopped down, tugging at Mingyu’s bags, but Hongbin snatched them away.
“I want to eat cheese tteokbokki and ramen,” he said.
"But the kids wanted spaghetti,” she said.
“They’re getting too spoiled. There’s no need to cook tonight, they can live with these.” Hongbin started boiling water for the ramen.
“Where did Hakyeon go?” Sooyeon asked, but the youngsters merely shrugged, engrossed with microwaving the tteokbokki packets.
She climbed to the loft and found Hakyeon in the living room between bedrooms, lightly tapping on the keyboard of an old PC.
“Sooji, do you think we could win this year? Our Taekwoonie is such a difficult rival though...” he murmured. “Too bad you’re not here to see the results.”
Sooji...? Who’s Sooji? She noticed him start to swivel around, so she ducked and padded down a few steps. Then she climbed again, with noisy footsteps. “Hakyeon? Are you here?”
“Oh, you’re back.” He approached her with a smile. “We should start cooking now.”
She held up her hands, blocking his way. “You don’t have to, we’re eating tteokbokki and ramen!”
“Those kids would never eat a vegetable unless I made them.” But he walked back to the living room anyway and took a seat on the couch.
She ventured: “Hey... could I ask you something?”
“What is it?”
Who’s Sooji? “... Umm, how about we play a game?” She knelt before the TV and grabbed one of the controllers of the PS console.
“Oh, so I see you want to challenge me. I may not be able to play professionally anymore, but don’t underestimate my skills.” He sat beside her and rolled up his sleeves as he flexed his arm, and she couldn’t help but gawk.
“You’ve gone quiet, are you backing out?” he teased.
“No, I’m not!” She turned to the TV, hoping he wouldn’t notice her blushing. “Let’s go!”

VIXX Reaction: Another famous idol flirting with their s/o despite their s/o making clear they aren’t interested (request)
N:
The audacity of this- this- this man.
Never had he ever encountered such a situation. The incident itself almost caused N spit out his drink. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Did he really hear Himchan ask you out right in front of him?!?
The nerve of this “fellow idol”. Himchan was very well aware of your relationship status being that he said hi to both of you as the two of you walked in together, your arm wrapped around his.
N’s first instinct was to shove Himchan nto the table of finger foods behind him. Sadly, he couldn't, there were too many eyes watching.
Immediately N’s gaze went over to you. Your face was blank. It was almost as if you didn’t hear what Himchan asked.
“So how about we go out some time?” himchan repeated himself, using a chuckle to hide his embarrassment over having to ask again.
“Oh you were serious? No.” you said bluntly.
N watched with a smile as Himchan’s head swung back. It was as if he never heard the word “no” before. “Um, excuse me?” Himchan carried a tone as if he were offended.
“You heard the lady.” the words fell out of N’s mouth so fast and he was quick to stand between you and Himchan. It was too late to stop himself now. “She said no!” he said with a taunting tone.
“Babe, you take me home?” you asked from behind N.
N couldn’t hold back the smile that grew on his face as he glared at Himchan. “As you wish.” he replied grabbing your hand and leading you out the ballroom.

Ravi:
Even with the crowd of people surrounding them, it was obvious to tell what was going on. It hadn't even been ten seconds into leaving you alone and someone already hovered over you. He could read RM like a book. The way he smiled and stood over you like a vulture, the guy was obviously trying to make a move on you.
“Here we go again.” he thought to himself as he made his way over to the two of you.
He was used to it all by now. Guys, even girls, constantly gaucked at you, some having the confidence to try and ask you out. He understood though, you were hot. Sure it was hard to deal with at first, everyone eyes always on you (even though he was supposed to be the famous kpop idol) but hey, it wasn’t your fault. Besides, you were the one he could call his. No one else could say that.
“Here you go.” he said casually as he now stood besides you and handed you your drink. He could feel RM’s piercing side stare. It was liked he considered him to be competition.
“Thanks!” you smiled a smile of relief. He knew you were glad that he was back and he could be a distraction from the awkward.
“What’s up Namjoon?” he asked. He did his best to play everything cool. There was no point in getting jealous over anything. He trusted you and your relationship so there was nothing to be worried about.
Suddenly RM’s vibe changed. He was no longer so predatory over you and switched to his camera ready persona. “Oh hey! So you and Y/n know each other?”
“Uh, yeah, for a while now.” he said vaguely.
“Yeah, we’ve been dating like, what? Six months now?”
You brought up that fact so smoothly. It was hard for him to not crack a smile.
Rm’s face fell. “Dating? You guys are dating?”
“Yeah.” the two of you said in unison as Ravi’s hand slid protectively around your waist.
“Oh… that’s cool… Well… I  gotta get back to my group now. I think Jin is waving me over. See you later Wonshik.”
Rm walked away so fast, Ravi didn’t even get a chance to say bye back.
“...So what did I miss this time?”
You just shrugged. “He was trying to asking me out to lunch.”
“Oooooof course he was.”
“Hey don't be getting jealous now.” you said, wrapping your arms around him.
“I’m not… but now that your plans seems to be free, how about we go out to lunch tomorrow?” he joked.
Tumblr media
Leo:
“Taekwoon!” You said in a warning tone.
He had yet to let go of you. No matter how much you asked him to stop, he continued to drag you our the party and back to the car without a word.
This behavior didn't surprise you. He tended to pull this childlike tantrum whenever he wasn't happy about something. The thing that was making you mad was the fact that you didn't know what he was upset about. You've already had a “conversation” with him over these outburst of his, but apparently he still wasn't keeping to his promise of taking everything out first.
“Taekwoon, talk to me!” You demanded, planting your heels into the ground and refusing to take another step.
Finally he stopped, letting your hand fall out of his as he stood still like a statue in his spot.
“Why did you drag me out of the party this time? I was literally in the middle of talking to Mino when you dragged me out!”
He said nothing. Instead he looked down at his shoes, playing with a loose pedal.
“Taekwoon, just talk to me! Why is it so hard for you to just say something!”
He let out a sigh of frustration before he decided to finally use his words. “... He was flirting with you.” He mumbled.
“What?”
“I said he was flirting with you! And right in front of me! And you kept going along with it!”
“He wasn’t flirting!”
“Oh yes he was! I know how idols flirt and what he was doing was flirting!” His voice had grown harsher in tone now.
It was time to tone thung down. “Babe,” you said softly. “If he was flirting, i genuinely did not know he was.”
Again he was quiet.
“How many times do i have to tell you that, if you are upset about something, you need to tell me about it? I get that you were probably upset about this, but you could have excused us and told me what you noticed.”
“You’re right… I’m sorry.” he said, going up to you and giving you a hug.
You were reluctant to give him one, but you did so anyway. You didn’t get to see him alot and there was no point in using this time fighting with him.
“Do you want to go back to the party?” his voice was soft, still filled with shame.
“Nah I’m kind of tired, we can go back home and watch a movie there or something.
Tumblr media
Ken:
Considering how BTS blew up, Ken appriciated the times that he bumped into Jin. It was hard enough hanging out between schedules, so it was cool that BTS attended the MAMA after party as well. On top of that, Ken was able to sneak you in to the party. What a lucky man he was, his good friend and his girlfriend at the same event.
“So where’s this amazing girlfriend of yours. I’ve been dying to find out who you are this crazy over.” Jin said.
“I think she is sitting back at our table. Come with me.”
The two of them walked around the dance floor and over to VIXX’s table where you were waiting for him.
“She’s right there, in the red dress.” he poitned out.
“Wow! She’s pretty! Seems like Jimin thinks so too.” Jin laughed.
Just then, Ken saw as Jimin sat down next to you already chatting up a storm.
At the sight, Ken was by your side in the blink of an eye. “Hi babe.” he said obnoxiously, wrapping his arm around you for Jimin to see. “Oh hi Jimin!” he said with a fake smile. "I didn't see you there.”
“Hey Ken.” Jimin said, suddenly so quiet in his prescence.
“I see you met my girlfriend!” Ken soncitnued. “Babe, this is jimin, but I figured no inteorodcution is needed. Jimin, this is my girlfriend, y/n.”
“So she’s your girlfriend I assume?” jimin asled sarcastically.
“Yes! Thanks for noticing? What gave it away?”
Jimin only rolled his eyes, so used to how Ken can be. “Hey you hear that song? It’s my favortire Im’ gonnag  dance. Nice meeting you Y/n. see you later Ken.” Jimin said as he walked away.
Tumblr media
Hongbin:
It was an honest mistake, it had to be, anyone could have done it. In this case is just so happened to be the one and only Gdragon, but hey, no one is perfect.
It’s not like you and Hongbin dated that long. Two months wasnt too big of a deal. Besides the two of you weren't even public yet. Which was why you came into the party as a plus one with one of the stylists and not as his date.
But now here hongbin was, watching you in a room full of idols being hit on by one of the most famous in the history of kpop…
“I don't know whether to be offended or honored.” he thought to himself. Sure he was pretty upset about it, but if the number one person on Earth was after his girlfreind, well, that meant Hongbin was the luckiest person on this world for getting to be with you.
Regardless if who was hitting on you, were still his and he intended on keep it that way. Very hesitantly did he get his feet to move in your direction. The closer got, the better he could hear the words beign said between the two of you.
“So, hgow about you come over sometime?” THe look in Gdragon's eyes was so seductive, even Hongbin was falling for him.
You however, stood like a soldier. You're body was tense and unmoving. “Well, um, I don’t know…”
“Aw, why not?” he asked with a sly smile as his finger went to move a lock ofy our hair out of your eyes.
“Um hi! Excuse me.” Hongbin’s voice interpuprted.
Gdragonns unamused eyes fell on him , and Hongbin’s blood ran cold. “Yes?” he was asked in a dark tone.
Immediately he began to laugh nerviously. “Hi again- didnt- I mean- I wasn;t tryto to interupt you Mr.dragon, sir, but I just… I just thought I’d- uh- steal my girlfriend  for a dance.” he mumbled.
“Oh… girlfrined?” gdragon went back to having his eyes on you. “I see someone else got their hands on you before I could. Aren't you a lucky one Hongbin? Well, I’ll let you two be. But y/n, if things dont work out, give me a call.” he winked before walking away.
The two of you stood in silnce for a moment.
“I can't believe that happened.” he said, breaking the silence. “Gdragon knows my name!”
Tumblr media
Hyuk:
It was the annual company christmas party. It was a celebration of the year’s achievements where every employee of the company and their plus ones partied the night away in a fancy hotel ballroom. This year was the first year that Hyuk actually had a date to bring… well not exactly…
The whole relationship things was a secret, even to the rest of VIXX. As far as everyone else knew, you were just an old friend he invited. It was, you know, the good ole company rules that kept him from telling everyone, plus it had only been like two weeks of dating. He just didn't want to jinx everything by telling everyone about the two of you right away.
For this special night, the two of you went the whole nine yards. You came in seperate cars, walked in at different times, maintained a three foot radius and got through most of the night passing glances and smiles at each other from across the table.
Things were great until a certain idol by the stage name L thought he’d flirt with right within earshot of hyuk. Seems like the famous plus one was also fond of how you looked in your party dress. HYuk was forced to watch in disgust as compliment upon compliment spilled out of L’s mouth. It was hard to to show how bothered he was. He wanted nothing more than to walk up to him and tell him to back off already. But he bit his tongue and kept his cool in front of his bandmates.
Thankfully for him though, you showed no interest in the handsome idol/ A smile spread on hyuk’s face when you interrupted L mid- sentence. and said “Sorry, uh, I have a boyfriend.”

Where Did The Party Go
Pairing: Hakyeon/Taekwoon
Words: 1,938
Rating: PG-13
Summary:  If a doctor opened his chest right that minute–he wouldn’t be surprised if Taekwoon’s name was imprinted over and over again. And yet…no matter how much his body ached, his hands ached to touch–he was kept at a distance.
Notes: Written from Hakyeon’s point of view. I hope I wrote Hakyeon with enough honesty.
Warnings: mentions of sex, hungry Hakyeon is hungry
“We’re luckier than most, my Hakyeon.” That’s what his mother always said when people would fight over him.
Constantly admired and mocked for how he looked: a misfit with tan-colored skin, sinewy limbs and a waist so small it bordered on girlish.
The first time he feels untouchable by the teasing is when his mother signs him up for a summer dance class. Standing on a raised platform and surrendering everything for the sake of the music and for the performance–that was when Hakyeon felt the most right.
So when the kid from Changwon makes it into Vixx, made as a leader of the group–he’s surprised and ecstatic. Scared that he’s responsible for five other lives, five boys who are equally wide-eyed and unsure of everything. Ecstatic because it’s his dream to sing and dance in front of an audience—always has been, always will be.
They need each other, and he’s determined to make it work. They crawl into the limelight with their songs and feel their hearts flutter when people buy their albums, when they hold their first fanmeet.
It’s for them, and for each other that they work, losing sleep and foregoing food in the name of making their fans–their precious Starlights–proud of them.
When they finally win during Voodoo Doll they allow themselves to swell up with love and pride (repaid their fans’ love and unwavering hearts with chicken) and Taekwoon embraces him for the first time, crying so hard he can’t even whisper—that’s when, Hakyeon thinks—that’s when he fell in love with Jung Taekwoon.
+
It takes awhile before Taekwoon warms up to Hakyeon again. After that evening of watching the younger boy embrace his SpongeBob doll tightly and moving back each time Hakyeon moves forward—that’s the thing that gets him the most. How Taekwoon doesn’t want to touch him, doesn’t want to do anything to him. All he gives Hakyeon is this distance, a gaping maw of sadness and disappointment. He supposes its punishment.
“I don’t understand.” He says again during the next night, cold and empty despite having the comforter pulled up all the way to his chin. Taekwoon says softly, “I want to be the only one.” As long as Hakyeon comes home bruised and bitten with the scent of another’s cologne on his body, his neck, his heart—Taekwoon continues to back away from him, even during the daytime.
He’s had to endure breakfasts where Taekwoon’s eyes are pointed elsewhere, his laughter swallowed up, words clipped whenever they locked eyes.
He’s burning for Taekwoon, needs his touch to function properly. But all Taekwoon ever sees are the marks others have left on his body–never seeing the mark that Taekwoon burned into Hakyeon’s heart.
If a doctor opened his chest right that minute–he wouldn’t be surprised if Taekwoon’s name was imprinted over and over again. And yet…no matter how much his body ached, his hands ached to touch–he was kept at a distance.
That’s what hurts Cha Hakyeon worst of all. So much that he needs to leave, needs a warm body to press kisses all over his bare chest, so he can pretend it’s Taekwoon. He’s lost count how many times he begged his partners to bite him harder, until the pain squeezes all the desire he feels for Taekwoon, until all he can utter is Taekwoon’s name as his hips are assaulted, bruises dotting his body all the way to his neck.
It was like trying to wean himself off of a potent drug and committing a relapse each time.
“You really have it bad for this guy.” His latest partner is a lawyer with hair darker than a raven’s wing. His eyes were what sealed the deal–they were sharp, missed nothing and he didn’t particularly care that Hakyeon doesn’t even know his name.
Hakyeon chooses not to comment and goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth when they’re done. When he comes back he stares at his partner of the evening and says “Yeah. I really do.”
“Does he like you?” The man asks as he gets out of bed and opens a window, lights up a cigarette. Hakyeon frowned. “Would I be doing this if he did?” There’s a shrug and the smell of vanilla-scented smoke as it drifts outside, to the lit streets of Seoul. “Do all your partners mind that you keep screaming for this guy?”
“They all know.” He thought of all the boys and girls who’d seen it fit to punish him for calling out for someone else, someone that wasn’t currently in bed. He swore it was like second nature now, calling out Taekwoon’s name in the heat and haze of pleasure. The intensity of want and shame filled him to the core and he thought, “Why am I still doing this?”
For the first time in his life, Hakyeon wants to disappear. He grabs his clothes and prepares for the long walk of shame back to the car, back to the dorm.
+
So when Taekwoon was the one who started pressing into his back, when Taekwoon declared his love for Hakyeon–well. Hakyeon had been fucking over the moon. It was like a dream, touching the smooth planes of Taekwoon’s chest, nuzzling into the column of his neck and tasting body wash and salt and feeling so, so hungry.
Everything he’d ever wanted, but he knew that his heart’s friend–your lifelong friend, he kept reminding himself as he spoke to interviewers and forced himself to hold onto another member–might just run for the hills if he tried anything.
He tried to find a solution, really. Hakyeon cuddled Taekwoon until he felt that he would burst with want and left to find the nearest body to fuck, until he felt drained of all the desires to touch Taekwoon. If he didn’t return to the dorms sated and sleepy, he was terrified of what he would do. Of what he wanted to do. He desperately wanted Taekwoon to be comfortable and didn’t want to pressure him into anything.
In the end, Hakyeon just craved Taekwoon’s touch and when the younger boy would push him away, whispering “…someday…” the fire inside Hakyeon just kept burning brighter and hotter and he just needed release.
He always got it, because Hakyeon never really asked for anything–but the thought of Taekwoon’s sad eyes and empty smile lingered afterwards. Instead of feeling indignant, that he and Taekwoon didn’t really have a serious relationship Hakyeon felt shame blooming on his cheeks, over his heart.
Taekwoon deserved more than a boy who just wanted, a boy whose hips would sway and grind, a boy who searched for fingers that would mark him—long and spidery, like Taekwoon’s.
Taekwoon deserved the world and Hakyeon couldn’t give it to him clean. He wanted to give the younger boy the chaste, pure love he seemed to be searching for.
But it often meant that someone else had to throw him down onto rumpled bedsheets before he was devoid of all the things he wanted to do to Taekwoon. And whenever he came back, lips swollen and body bitten (but his desire is full and the thought of Taekwoon lying back on his side of the bed is no longer as erotic) he had to face the sad eyes and the widening gap as the main vocalist refused to be touched.
The mountain that Hakyeon climbed just to be closer to Taekwoon came back, taller and sturdier than ever.
So when Taekwoon tells Hakyeon “I hope you’ll stop sleeping around,” all Hakyeon thought was, “If I can’t touch you I’m going to fall apart.” What he actually asked was, “Why don’t you forbid me?” It wouldn’t have been the first time, really. The difference being, after this he usually wanted to let go, to break up.
The answer he got was surprising, and Hakyeon could feel the sadness coloring Taekwoon’s soft, soft voice.
“Because I want you to choose not to do it, Hakyeonnie.” This boy was just full of surprises. Hakyeon whispers in a broken voice, “What if I keep doing it, Taekwoonie?” He just wanted to know how high the stakes were, how much Taekwoon was actually willing to risk just so Hakyeon would try.
“Then…you can’t touch me.”
He thinks he’s going to combust.
+
Touch is important to him. It’s how his family—how he—expresses their love. He isn’t used to this, not used to the introvert contented to sip a cup of coffee and eat beside him with a soft smile that makes Hakyeon so, so hungry.
He wants to keep touching Taekwoon, wants to be allowed to come closer. The other members keep asking him if he’s all right. Hakyeon plays it off as stress due to his busy schedule, the lack of sleep making him restless.
One night after filming for his web drama, he goes straight home, enters the dorm taut and hungry for his roommate, a burning desire that nothing else can quench. He’d received invitations to another party, but he turned them down saying softly, “I need to go home. Somebody’s waiting for me there.”
It’s probably the most honest he’s been in awhile.
He comes home to Jaehwan and Hongbin on the couch, iPad in hand and sharing earbuds. “Hyung!” They both smile. “You’re home early.” Hakyeon smiles tiredly and pats their heads as he walks towards his bedroom.
“Filming finished early. What are you doing?”
Hongbin holds up the iPad and says, “Monitoring. Everyone else went to their rooms.” Hakyeon yawns and replies, “That sounds like a good idea. Don’t stay up too late, you two.” Jaehwan winked. “Of course not, hyung~” Hakyeon laughs and as he nears his bedroom door, he hears a slight sucking sound, and shakes his head. “At least wait until I’m inside!” He called out, and there’s a resounding “Sorry mom!” from the living room.
He opens the door and Taekwoon is there, lying on his side of the bed. Eyes him fully and when Hakyeon strips his chest bare, free of bite marks—there’s a small smile on his lips. He walks over to the closet to find his sleeping shirt and is surprised when Taekwoon’s arms wrap around Hakyeon, the main vocalist’s head nuzzling into the back of his neck.
He’s pretty sure he smells a lot like sweat and whatever dinner the staff gave him before he left for the dorm, but that doesn’t seem to matter. His senses are on fire and there are goosebumps on his arms, on the back of his neck as Taekwoon breathes in and out, his breath smelling of toothpaste.
“You’re home.”
It’s so simple, but enough to make him cry. “Yeah…I’m home.” he says softly as Taekwoon holds him in place, arms tight around Hakyeon’s middle. He still wanted to touch Taekwoon–all of him–but somehow this was more intimate than being fucked. The fire inside of him dims until it’s nothing more than a quiet flame, small and soothingly warm against his chest.
Hakyeon feels Taekwoon’s heart against his back, and it’s beating quickly, mirroring his own. He chuckles and says softly, “I make you nervous?”
Taekwoon whispers back, kissing his shoulder, licking the sweat gathering at the base of his neck, “You always have.” He feels one of Taekwoon’s hands leaving his waist and he breathes out a soft whine, trembling.
“Soon,” Taekwoon promises as he pushes one of Hakyeon’s white shirts into his chest.
When they sleep that night, there is no gap between them.

Part 1 (AO3)  / Part 2 (AO3)  / Part 3 (AO3) / PART 4 (AO3)
Pairing: Hyuk x Reader
Genre:  Fluff / Slow burn
Rating: Mature
Word Count: 2,514
Summary: You’re at your first industry party, surrounded by creatives and influencers in the magazine business. You spark a friendship with a writer but it catches the eye of a jealous idol.
A/N: I’ve updated the rating to Mature for eventual smut and I realize there is a lot of drinking in my story. I also added Slow Burn so people will know that this will take a while!
Don’t forget to leave kudos if you enjoy my work! My inbox is always open for comments, messages, requests, and if you want to talk about VIXX, fanfic writing, anything! Enjoy!
Click!
You bring down your phone and look at the photo on the screen, a sea of heads, lit by strings of paper lanterns and festive streamers, under the night sky. You tuck your hair behind your ear as a gust of wind blows through the roof deck. You peer over the edge of the railing. From five floors up, you see bare streets and small figures heading home. You face the party, futzing with your outfit as you see models, stylists, and artists pass you by. You check the time on your phone, 30 minutes have passed since you got here, and your battery is already low. You shove it into your pocket.
You can handle a party, right? You ask yourself. You scan the venue and spot the bar. You walk in its direction.
On the way, you catch snippets of conversation, floating on top of the live band’s music. People asking about other people, famous spots, and whether anyone will show up to this party. You feel like an outsider, exploring a completely new scene.
As you slowly maneuver through the spaces between bodies and dodging eccentric accessories, you spot a radiant Ara, still as energetic ever despite standing on sky-high heels. You notice she’s surrounded by handsome men, vying for her attention. You pull out your phone and snap a picture. You make a mental reminder to send it to Ara later as you continue your trek towards the bar.
After much finessing, you finally reach the back of the crowd waiting for drinks. You crane your neck and tiptoe, counting the people separating you and a cold bottle of beer.
You lose your balance and push into someone on your side. “Ah, sorry!” You turn towards him and bow in apology.
You look at him and you get the feeling that you’ve seen him before. Tan skin, a little scruffy, you go through your mental directory of the few people you know until there’s a match.
“Aren’t you Tae-hee-ssi?”
“It’s (Y/N)-ssi, right?”
You both point at each other simultaneously.
There’s a pause and then laughter. You exchange greetings.
“Glad to meet you! Your editorial with VIXX was nice.”, Tae-hee smiles wide. You think he looks just like his display pictures on social media.
“Thank you, Tae-hee-ssi! Your comic for this month’s CHICK was really heartbreaking!”
“Thank you, I love to make people cry.” He chuckles under his breath.
You finally reach the front of the bar and you wait patiently as three bartenders frantically open bottles and pour drinks for guests. One of them spots you and points towards a drink menu taped on the top of the counter.
“What will you have?” Tae-hee asks.
You notice they have nothing but beer or tequila shots. “I’ll have a beer please.”
He raises two fingers, “Two beers please.” The bartender nods.
He pulls two cold, dark green bottles out of a large ice-filled cooler. He places them on the bar and swiftly removes the caps. You watch the cold stream of air lazily rise above the rim.
Tae-hee grabs the bottles and hands one to you, “Cheers.” You clink your drinks and take a swig. You feel the alcohol warming your body and smile at Tae-hee. You think the night shouldn’t go too badly at all. The two of you squeeze yourselves through the throngs of people to the edge of the party.
Tae-hee leans his back towards the railing, the wind billowing through him. You watch him take a drink of his beer and before either of you could speak, you hear a commotion. You turn your head to see people slowly swarming towards the entrance, cameras flashing, and growing chatter.
“Must be someone famous.” Tae-hee shrugs, “There’s always at least one in these magazine parties.”
You a notice a paper lantern flickering to life over him, bathing him in a warm red light. “Could I take a picture of you?” You blurt out.
Tae-hee raises his eyebrows and shrugs again. “I guess so.” He smiles, his drink held slackly in his hand and the city skyline as his backdrop.
You set your beer on the floor and get your phone ready. You bring up the camera and take the picture.
“How about this?” Tae-hee shows off his profile and runs his hand through his hair with dramatic flourish, his expression imitating the smoldering models of CHICK. You laugh, adjust the composition, and take another picture.
“Okay, stop, or else I’ll have to charge you.” He waves his hand, embarrassed at the attention. “Show me, show me.”
You walk to stand beside him and he steps closer to look at the result. You feel his breathing and smell the faint scent of cigarettes from his clothes.
“Not bad!” His mouth comically downturned. “Now I can say I have a portrait by the great (Y/N)-ssi!” He makes a gesture of grandeur.
You laugh as you elbow him away. Tae-hee moans and clutches his stomach exaggeratedly. You move to pick up your beer from your previous spot and drink. You exhale with a refreshing ah when you finish and look up to find Hyuk standing in front of you.
You spot the differences, his ash-brown hair slicked down and dyed jet black, his dark, rugged clothes. You find it hard to believe this was the soft maknae from a month ago. Hyuk’s eyes dart up and down, inspecting you and Tae-hee. He shoves his hands in his pockets as he smiles and walks towards you.
“(Y/N)-ssi, it’s nice to see you again!” You feel his body heat as he stands beside you. Goosebumps prickle all over your skin.
“Hyuk-ssi, this is Tae-hee, he writes for CHICK and also writes comics.”
Tae-hee bows and extends his hand. “Happy to meet you, Hyuk-ssi! I’m a fan of VIXX’s work. Don’t know how idols do it!”
Hyuk takes his hand and gives it a firm shake, “Thank you, don’t know how you writers do it or get paid but it must be fun!” He lets go of Tae-hee’s hand.
You see the corner of Tae-hee’s mouth twitch. You hear Hyuk chuckle, enjoying himself. You look down and fidget with your empty beer bottle.
Tae-hee clears his throat, “It is! I’m just in this month’s CHICK and have a few indie comics out. Honestly, it makes me nervous when I see my works printed!”
“Oh, I see!” Hyuk feigns interest.
“Come on, Hyuk-ssi,” You nudge him gently, “You were just saying how nervous you were at my photo shoot.”
He scoffs. “Well, usually we have professionals shoot us.” He laughs but stops himself midway.
You feel a thud in your chest. You’re unable to move or to speak, busy processing what you just heard, feeling the self-doubt creep in.
Tae-hee looks blatantly at his watch, “I’ve got to go. See you around, (Y/N)-ssi, Hyuk-ssi.” He bows and scuttles away, disappearing into the party.
Your face grows hot with confusion, embarrassment, and frustration, Hyuk’s words echoing in your ears. You step away from him and hold your head up, wiping away the hot tears welling in the corners of your eyes. You hear Hyuk clear his throat and saying your name but a fog fills your head. You push yourself into the thick of the crowd.
You squeeze through the people, looking for a place to toss your bottle before going home. You erase any remnants of crying before you spot a trash can far off to the side. You make yourself as small as you can and move quickly to get to the bin. You haphazardly toss the beer into the trash and face the opposite way but before you could leave, you see N beaming at you.
“(Y/N)-ssi!” He waves, “Congratulations on the photos, all of us loved it. You made us look super cool!” He claps his hands excitedly.
You give him a tight-lipped smile, “I just tried my best, N-ssi.” You bow and try to slink away but you fail to find a path through the other party guests.
“We actually sent Hyuk to go find you when Ara told us you were here! Did you see him?”
“Yeah, we talked a minute ago.” You try to angle your face away from N as you feel your eyes grow puffy and swell.
“Are you all right, (Y/N)-ssi?” You feel N get closer, “Did something happen?”.
“No, I think I’m just tired!” You laugh nervously, “I’m already heading home.”
N straightens up, “Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that.” He puts his hands on his hips and clicks his tongue. “Want to say bye to the others before leaving? They wanted to thank you!”
“All right.” You smile weakly as N leads you to Ken, Ravi, Leo, and Hongbin, waiting in front of a photo wall.
“(Y/N)-ssi!” Ken calls out to you. They all walk over, bow, and thank you for your work, talking over each other.
“I wouldn’t have thought that was your first time doing a magazine photo shoot!” Ravi says.
“I think they turned out really nice,” Leo says as he nods in agreement.
“Have you seen Hyogi? He was looking for you.” Hongbin asks as he checks his phone for messages.
“I’m here.” Hyuk walks out from behind him, avoiding your gaze, his head tilted down.
“VIXX and my dear chick, (Y/N)! Group photo please!” Ara shouts, appearing from thin air, trailed by one of the many party photographers. She flails her arms horizontally, gesturing for you and VIXX to compress.
Like clockwork, the men shuffle into formation, placing you in the middle, between Ken and N. You struggle to keep your smile after the camera clicks multiple times and you slowly step out of frame before more cameras appear to take the idols’ photos.
You finally make it to the elevator room after navigating your way through the packed roof deck. The sounds of the party become muffled behind the heavy door. You sigh with relief, finally alone. You mash the down button and the doors slide open. You step into the bare box and slouch against the wall. You close your eyes and breathe for a minute until you hear footsteps racing towards the elevator and see the doors open again.
“Can we talk?” Hyuk asks, “I understand if you don’t want to though but if you give me a chance.” A drop of sweat rolls down his brow.
“Oh!” You play looking around the elevator, “You want to talk to a nobody like me?”
The elevator doors try to shut but can’t with Hyuk blocking the way. “Just get in, Hyuk-ssi.”
Hyuk steps in and it closes, trapping the both of you inside. You begin praying that it’s a quick trip to the ground floor as you feel tension fill up the space.
“I’m sorry.”  Hyuk stammers, “I didn’t mean what I said but there’s no excuse for hurting you.”
“Yeah, what was that?” You sneer, “I know we’re not…friends…but that…came out of nowhere.”
“I wasn’t,” Hyuk rubs the back of his neck, “feeling myself.“
“I was annoyed or angry or something, I don’t know… when I saw you with another guy.”
You look at him and his eyes fall to the floor.
“I want you to know that I really was nervous when I met you because you were so professional and cool. When you called me last time, I was happy that you noticed me and I was excited to see you tonight but I messed up. I’m sorry.”
“Hyuk-ssi, you can stop apologizing.” Your eyes meet, completely different from his cold gaze before.
“I’m actually surprised with how I reacted.” You clasp your hands behind you. “I’m proud of my work and as long as I was happy with it, others opinions didn’t matter. I guess I was wrong. I know I still lack a lot.” You laugh softly.
A breeze blows in as the doors slide open to a hallway facing the city streets. You shake off the cold and step out of the elevator.
“Anyway, it’s fine. I’m going home now. Good night.” You bow and begin walking.
“Wait!” You don’t stop but Hyuk catches up to you. “How are you getting home?”
“Hmm…it’s like a fifteen-minute walk from here?” You blink, trying to remember how long it took you earlier.
“Can I walk you home?”
“You don’t have to. It’s really near.”
“I want to and I want to make sure you get home safe.”
You stop walking and you swerve towards him, staring him down.
“Suit yourself.” You say.
Hyuk grins and you both walk in silence in the dimly-lit, quiet city, passing by empty malls, convenience stores, and fast food joints.
He breaks the silence, “How can I make it up to you, (Y/N)-ssi? Anything you want. I’m not very rich so don’t ask for five million won or a trip abroad.”
You laugh while side eyeing him, “Come on.”
“Please, I’ll do anything.”
You shake your head but you get an idea. You begin thinking of all of the possibilities.
“Do you need a butler for a day? A nice fancy restaurant dinner?” He rattles off suggestions, “How about a date?”
“Hyuk-ssi.” You stop walking before a street crossing. The red light blinks across the two of you.
“Yes?” He smiles.
“Could you model for me?”
“What?” Hyuk furrows his eyebrows.
You forcefully take his hand with both of yours. “You see, you are right. Nobody really knows who I am besides that one photo shoot we did. I need more for my portfolio and more exposure and what better way to fill it up than with someone who has a bajillion followers, so let’s have a shoot!” You look into his eyes as earnestly as you can, taking your shot in the dark.
He cocks his head and licks his lips, scratching the side of his head. The red walking sign turns green.
“Well, okay, I’ll do it! Just the two of us though. This is just for your portfolio!”
“Yes!” You happily walk across the street with a skip to your step, hand-in-hand with Hyuk, dragging him along.
You reach the front of your building and point at the door. “Well, this is me.” You swing your arms until you feel the familiar warmth of Hyuk’s hand. You see he looks pleased.
“Thank you for letting me walk you home.”
“Hyuk-ssi, it’s no problem.” You step towards your door and loosen your hold but he tugs you back.
“And thank you for giving me a second chance.” He smiles at you and squeezes your hand. You feel your heart pounding in your chest. You lose yourself staring at him for a second but you blink and let go of his hand.
“It’s okay.” You shrug as you open the door to your building. “You were jealous.” You bid him good night, leaving a red-faced, dumbfounded Hyuk on the street.

VIXX Hyuk: College!AU
5/6 done! Just one more to go! I hope you enjoy reading the maknae’s one <3
Tumblr media
A bead of sweat trickles down your temple as you stare in shock at your laptop’s screen. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” you groan at no one in particular.
Your laptop just decided to crash on you, rendering all your hard work to go down the drain. You were writing a thesis as part of your finals for a subject. Despite fiddling with the buttons and switching the power back on, your laptop just wouldn’t get back up. It was as if you had to start again. Biting your lip to prevent your tears from escaping, you leaned back and sighed.  Whipping your phone out, you dial your best friend, Hongbins, number. As soon as he picks up, you tell him of the situation you’ve gotten yourself into. He recommends that you see Sanghyuk, or Hyuk. He wasn’t your classmate in any of your subjects, but you knew of students who talked about him often. They’d always talk about how he was so good with computers and all things technology-related.  You thank Hongbin then hang up.
While walking to the bleachers, you wonder to yourself as to why Hyuk would hang out under the bleachers, but you shrug the curious thought away. You quietly squeeze under the bleachers and realize that it’s actually spacious. You immediately spot Hyuk, casually sitting on the ground and reading a comic book, accompanied with a bag of potato chips. “Hyuk?” you call out, but for some reason, you feel awkward calling his name because you don’t know each other.
Hyuk abruptly looks up and tilts his head, “Hmmmm?”
“I’m y/n from this class…that’s not the point. Hongbin told me that you’re good with computers…”
Hyuk grins and replies, “That’s right. What do you need?”
So, you begin to tell him your unfortunate story, “…sadly, I can’t even get it to turn on.”
Hyuk puts his comic book down and stands up. That’s when you actually see for yourself that he’s really tall and can be quite intimidating. “Let me take a look.”
“Oh, right.” you say, taking your laptop and handing it to him.
He sits back down on the ground and does some complicated things on the laptop, occasionally taking a potato chip from the bag, but after a few minutes, he playfully pouts his lip. “I got it to turn on again, but I don’t think I can do anything about your lost thesis file.” Hyuk’s tone of voice turns playful, and he decides to tease you, “You should have-”
But after seeing you sighing and fighting back the tears of frustration, he decides to stay quiet. “Thank you for trying though.” you force a big smile.
Hyuk puffs up his cheeks and heaves a big sigh as soon as he sees you trying hard to fight back the tears that are building up your eyes. You’ve already thanked him and make your exit, but before you’ve completely left, Hyuk calls out, “Hey!”
You turn around and raise an eyebrow. Hyuk jogs up to you and slightly smiles, taking your laptop from with no permission. “I’ll see what else I can do.” he says.
Not really the type who likes to impose on people, you sheepishly smile, “No, really, it’s fine.”
Hyuk, however, insists and is really assertive, and so you reluctantly agree and thank him once again.
The next day, as you walk out of your classroom at the end of the day, you get a text from an unknown number saying: It’s Hyuk! I got your number from Hongbin~ Can you meet me at the bleachers? I have your laptop!
Your eyes widen in surprise and curiosity, so you hurriedly go the bleachers and meet Hyuk. You see him with a huge grin on his face. “What’s up?” you ask.
Hyuk proudly laughs, “I managed to recover your thesis file!”
You remain speechless, and when Hyuk snaps his fingers in front of your face, you ask, “Really? Is this a prank?”
Hyuk playfully acts like he’s hurt but laughs nonetheless. “It’s not April Fool’s today, y/n.”
He hands you your laptop cheerfully and winks, “Might want to be more careful.”
You laugh, agreeing with him. “Yeah, I know that now. Thank you again.” You tuck your laptop away in your bag and shrug, “I have no motivation to continue my thesis…right now anyway, so wanna go to the ice cream parlor down the street? I’ll treat you as my way of saying thanks!”
“Ok! Yes please!” Hyuk beams like a little child.
You both head to a simple ice cream café and make your orders, but Hyuk ends up paying for the ice cream. “I said it would be my treat.” you pout.
Hyuk sticks his tongue out and smirks, “I’d feel bad if a girl was paying for it.”
“Whatever.” you roll your eyes and playfully hit his arm.
“AH!” Hyuk laughs, “You’re paying next time!”
“No problem with me!” you tease back.
On the way home, you two laugh and make jokes as if you were the best of friends. You two also end up talking about school. “So you’re a computer science major. No wonder why you’re so good with computers.” you grin.
Hyuk chuckles, “It’s nothing, really. No big deal.”
“Sure it is.” you smirk, “I have classmates who always talk about how you’re so cool when you help them with their technological problems.”
Hyuk’s cheeks grow a slight pink in color, but he just laughs it off, “Is that so? I am pretty cool.”
“Way to ruin the moment, Sanghyuk.” you tease.
Hyuk winks, “It’s the truth, y/n.”
Days later, you and Hyuk just click and become such random and fun friends wherein you enjoy all the simple and random moments together; there’s just a lot of laughing and clowning around involved. You two even text each other often and talk on the phone until who knows what time. The topics always vary- from serious life discussions to random “what did you eat for lunch” conversations. In fact, you guys would send each other videos, memes, funny pictures and clips that made you both laugh so hard that your stomach would hurt afterwards.
He was also such a pleasantly random friend. Like that one time you bumped into him in the campus’s quadrangle.
“Oh, hey y/n!” Hyuk grinned as you two approached each other.
You gave him a high-five and chuckled, “Going to class?”
Hyuk nodded, and you noticed the mug in his hand. You peered at the inside and saw cereals in it. “Really, Hyuk? Cereals in a mug?”
“I’m running late.” he laughs.
You sigh and playfully lecture him, “Cereals in a mug today. Ramyeon yesterday. Junk food and other instant and unhealthy meals for the past days. That’s not good for you, Hyuk.”
“Y/n,” Hyuk laughs, “I’m pretty healthy. I’d say I’m doing fine.”
To prove his point, he carefully lifts his shirt, just enough to show a little bit of his abs. “HYUK!” you exclaim while blushing. “What are you thinking?”
You make him cover himself and panic at the many eyes now looking at you two. “You are so random.”
“But you love it.” Hyuk teases.
“You’re such a man-child.”
*******
One day, he texts you, asking if you want to come over to the comic club to hang out, and since you had nothing planned, you agreed. However, when you got there, only Hyuk was there. “Where are the other members?” you ask.
Hyuk answers, “They’re all back in their dorm rooms because that want to rest already, but I wanted to stay and watch a movie or something with you.” A blush creeps up to your cheeks, and you feel nervous because you’re alone with Hyuk, but what could go wrong?
First, you two watched some horror movie that Hyuk really likes, despite you being a total scaredy-cat. To make things worse, Hyuk keeps scaring you and you keep smacking his arm in turn but then he’s not complaining because he finds it funny. When the movie reaches its climax, you’re surprisingly focused on the T.V., until Hyuk pokes your sides while shouting a loud “BAAAA!” just when the creepy girl pops out from a dark place.
You scream, but instead of hitting him, you scurry behind him and hide behind his back. “I hate you.” you mumble as you keep your face hidden.
Hyuk simply chuckles and teases, “You’re so cute, y/n. Being all scared just ‘cause of that?”
“HYUK.” you slap his back softly.
Afterwards, to make it up to you, or more like to calm you down, you and Hyuk read and make fun of the comics lying around and even reenact the scenes/panels that you two find funny. Then, you play video games. You two keep competing to see who’s better and you’d both cheat from time to time just to win or get the advantage, causing the room to be filled with laughter.
During one game, you actually manage to win, after Hyuk’s consecutive wins. “NO WAY.” Hyuk chuckles. “You beat me?”
“Fair and square.” you wink.
Hyuk raises an eyebrow and smirks, “I don’t think so. You probably cheated.”
“You’re just jealous.” you poke your tongue out.
You two playfully argue on who should have won, and in the end, you both end up having a tickle fight. “Let’s see you win now! I know you’re tickling, y/n!” he laughs.
In between your fits of laughter, you manage to say, “THAT’S NOT FAIR! You’re stronger! As if I can tickle you back!”
“Revenge is mine!” Hyuk declares.
Eventually and somehow, in the midst of the tickling, you manage to sit back up and attempt to tackle Hyuk to get your revenge, but because he is taller and stronger, he grabs your wrists and gently wrestles you, however, ending up on top of you. A silence stretches between you two; you just stare at each other for the next few seconds. You were sure Hyuk was blushing and your heart was pounding. After a moment of silence and staring at each other, Hyuk slowly leaned down and kissed you. You were pleasantly surprised because you were expecting a kiss that was probably rough, but it was really gentle.
He pulls away and gets off you, grinning like nothing happened. You chuckle despite your cheeks growing redder. “What’s gotten into you?”
Hyuk replies, “I don’t really know how to say it…so I guess that kiss kind of…explains it?”
You giggle at his cuteness and smile. “Me too, Hyuk.”
You then sit on his lap and as he wraps his arms around you, you grin. “Who wins?”
Hyuk kisses your nose. “Both of us.”
Satisfied with his answer, you both lean forward and kiss again. “You left the T.V. on.” you say, pulling away.
Hyuk smirks, “That can wait.”
“Can you?” you ask, tilting your head.
Smiling, Hyuk just attacks you with kisses, and you didn’t mind at all.

Ruined Plans (VIXX Hongbin x Reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: For  @xmoonlightspiritx on wattpad
Summary: After plenty ruined dates, things finally go your way.
Count: 2.8k
Genre: Fluff
Request Regulations/Rules
~Blake
February 14th, also known as the day lovers did sweet or extravagant acts of kindness for each other, that was tomorrow's date. Valentine's day. You never asked your boyfriend Hongbin for much. You stayed quiet about his busy schedules colliding with movie dates you thought would be perfect, the last minute tours making you push back the trips to Hawaii, and even your new year's kiss being cancelled because he had been too busy.
You understood, it was Hongbin's job. The job he tried so hard at to build a comfortable life with you. The job that he loved doing almost as much as he loved you, almost being the key word. He wouldn't hesitate if you'd asked him to quit and become something more rewarding. But you would never do that to him, it was his niche.
When you two had first started dating you guys did it knowing it would be tough, nearly impossible for the relationship to turn out as well as it is going. Luckily your relationship had been adored by the starlights, who were proud of Hongbin for getting himself a catch like you. He loved you with all his heart and it crushed his soul to see the light in your eyes or the joy in your voice die out when he had to raincheck something you'd spent the whole afternoon planning.
You had to make sure you had your privacy, a dark place in a restaurant or secret spots to keep away from fans and reporters. Somewhere close to home so Hongbin could get rest. Somewhere close to Jellyfish Ent. so if he had gotten called back he wouldn't be late. Those were just picayune things compared to how considerate you were to him. You would do anything for him just like how he'd do anything for you. It was just the kind of people you both were, it was one thing that made you two a perfect fit for each other.
Hongbin appreciated all of it. The love notes you packed in his lunches you made him, the kisses you'd place on his forehead when he fell asleep on the couch, and even the good morning texts that you send when you wake up without him by your side.
Tomorrow was Valentine's Day, a day you had been promised by Hongbin would be just for the two of you, of course that promise had been make weeks ago and had possibly slipped his mind. He made extra aware to you that he had remembered and that it'll be perfect. But that was the 14th, now is the 13th, late at night in fact. Hongbin was at work while you are sitting at the kitchen counter with papers and magazines scattered all over the place. It was not work of your own, that had been finished hours ago and had been put away. The papers and magazines were things you'd collected since you were a toddler through out your teenage years. Things labeled, "Date Ideas" in bright red crayon. Despite them being written when you were eight or nine, some of the ideas weren't that bad so you'd jotted them down in a new and improved notebook you were using.
You had remembered Hongbin wouldn't be home until midnight, he told you he was going to get all his work done tonight so he'd be free for all the things you'd planned for tomorrow. You'd looked at the clock and saw it was 10:30pm, plenty of time; or so you thought. At 11pm Hongbin came home early as a surprise and had found you using your arm as a pillow and your eyes closed. You had fallen asleep.
He sucked his teeth, asking himself why you hadn't just gone to be if you were tired. He then walked over to bring you to your bedroom when he saw what you had been doing. Breakfast in bed, you were going to make peanut butter pancakes. The you were going to watch this sappy movie together, the movie Hongbin was embarrassed to admit he wanted to see. He loved rom-coms leave the poor boy alone. After the movie you had a date at the pond, the place where you two had first met. You wanted to feed the ducks with him, something your father did with you when you were young. When the ducks had been fed you wanted to take him to a light show at the park and kiss behind a tree. That was new to Hongbin, it wasn't something he'd expected from you, PDA was always limited to holding hands. Both of you were too shy to cuddle in public, let alone kiss.
The schedule warmed his heart, but he had other plans. Some of which were similar to yours in some perspectives. He smiled his dimple-filled grin and picked you up to carry you into the bedroom for you to rest peacefully. He had a whole day that was going to be about you, his princess. Yes, he did tell you to plan things, but that was only to keep you distracted and to buy him some time to work out his own day for you. He lied next to you until the early morning, that was when his plan unfolded.
Y/N's POV
I open my eyes and feel the blessedness of getting a good nights rest. I shoot up and begin to panic.
'When did I get into my bed? Wait, what time is it?!'
"Nine A.M, oh gosh, I'm so behind!" Ignoring the chirping of the birds I run out into the kitchen to try and whip up the breakfast I had planned. I open the fridge to grab the eggs and I find a bright pink sticky on the carton.
'Thought you were sneaky, huh? I made breakfast for you! It's in the microwave. Make sure you read the note ;)                  -Hongbin'
I close the fridge and press my lips together to hid a smile. This greaseball. I head to the microwave and see a plate of heart shaped waffles with strawberries and whipped cream tinted pink.
"Aw! He went all out this year." I giggled, last year he'd ordered take out because he nearly burned the kitchen down. I find the yellow sticky on the plate and read it as I take a bite of the perfectly made waffle.
'When you are full look in our closet, I have a gift for you <3'
As I were told, I ate until I was full and put the dishes in the sink before practically running to the closet like the note had said. In said closet I found the black dress I had seen while window shopping with my cousin a couple of days ago. I read the blue sticky note attacked to the hanger and nearly teared up.
'For you, my love. Put it on and head for the place we first kissed at. There's another present for you.'
"This man is going to be the death of me, I swear." I pulled the dress off the hanger and tried it on, a perfect fit. I was too excited to take the next three hours doing my make up and hair so I settled for putting my hair up into a ponytail and doing a ten minute make-up routine that saved my behind during high school when the snooze button was too tempting. I slid on black flats and I was off to the swing sets, the place Hongbin and I first kissed.
It was only a five minute walk from our house, completely unintentional by the way. When I got there I saw a tall figure standing abaft to me, shoulders perching broadly. The man turned around and I recognized him as Leo and I saw that he was holding a stuffed panda toy in his arms. On the toy was a paper rolled shut and tied with a red ribbon.
I walked closer and he stretched his arms out, remaining silent. He had gestured me to take the gift by placing it in my arms, then he spoke.
"Head to the corner road of the first restaurant Hongbin took you too." He said before walking away. If I am correct I saw Leo flash a small smirk as his figure became smaller in the distance. I looked at the panda toy and unraveled the paper to reveal Hongbin's handwriting.
A million stars up in the sky one shines brighter I can't deny A love so precious a love so true a love that comes from me to you The angels sing when you are near within your arms I have nothing to fear You always know just what to say just talking to you makes my day I love you honey with all of my heart together forever and never to part.
I hadn't noticed my eyes starting to brim with tears until one rolled down my cheek. I rolled the paper back up neatly to preserve its beauty so I can look at it in the future. I'm guessing there's another surprise at the restaurant Hongbin first took me to, our first anniversary! He took me to this really cozy cafĂŠ that's around the corner.
"What is he planning?" I smiled, but began walking anyway. I was at the restaurant with in minutes and I saw Hyuk standing at the front door wearing a waiter's outfit and a black apron.
"Hyuk, what on Earth is going on?" I asked, why haven't I seen Hongbin yet?
"Today is your day, enjoy it." He opened the door for me and revealed a red carpet with rose petals surrounding it. "Ladies first."
"What a gentleman." I joked as I entered the cafĂŠ. Last time I was here there was a book store like feel, now with the roses and candles it has a more romantic touch too the place. As I follow the red carpet trail I see pictures of Hongbin and I through out our years together. Some pictures I remember, that one is from our beach day, and that one is from that hike we took last year. But some of them I don't remember, most likely because Hongbin probably took the pictures without me knowing. Some were of me sleeping on the couch during movie nights, others were of me innocently doing dishes.
The carpet leads me to the back of the building, the candles have ended and so have the sources of light. I stand in complete darkness and I feel the panda bear and love note being taken away from me. Before I can protest a single spotlight shines with N standing directly under it. He wore a sharp tuxedo and had a microphone in his hands. Suddenly music began softly playing from the very back and the song was imprinted in my brain. It was my favorite VIXX song.
"maljubyeoni eobseodo nal ihaehae jwoyo damadwotdeon jinsimeul da yaegihalgeyo" He sang. I covered my face with my hands to hide my blush. Hyuk, who was next to sing, then walked onto the stage witht he other members, Hongbin shooting me a wink and a smile. All wore identical tuxes, the only variation being their tie colors.
"uriga cheoeum mannan geu nal gieok hanayo yeppeun geu ipsullo naege useojudeon"
As each member sang tears of happiness fell down the sides of my face without control. It must've been years since I was this happy, besides being with Hongbin of course. I just feel like a princess going to her first ball and finding her prince charming, or like back in high school when I passed a test I didn't study for. This is true joy.
Eventually the song ended and all six boys stepped down and circed around me, with Hongbin standing across from me. The spotlight followed them before landing directly onto me.
"I know this is unexpected, but I just wanted to show you how thankful I am to be with you and to show you what you mean to me. Just remember that there is nothing fathomable I could do to even show you half of how much I love you." He spoke, going down on one knee and grabbing something from his pocket. I gapsed and stepped back, he wasn't...
"Y/N, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He pulle dout a black velvet box and opened it to reveal a diamond ring.
"Of course you knuckle head!" I exclaimed. Hongbin jumped up and hugged me with all his might, stuffing his head in my nape. The other VIXX members cheered and clapped while Hongbin and I kissed.
This truely is the happiest day of my life.
