POTENTIALLY ROMANTIC PROMPTS;  [ tackle ] :  sender  instinctively  tackles  or  shields  receiver  from  harm’s  way.

          ♡  ╱    𝒎𝒂𝒇𝒊𝒂  𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓  𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅  worry  in  wenhui's  life.  carefully  built  by  those  before  him,  an  effective  system  stood  between  their  names  and  those  in  charge  of  despiscable  part  of  the  job  to  protect  the  ones  at  the  top.  however,  money  still  painted  a  large  target  on  wenhui's  forehead;  which  only  appeared  to  grow  in  sachiko's  presence  as  his  adoration  for  the  girl  was  perceptible.  suddenly,  wenhui  had  a  lot  to  lose.  others  were  quick  to  realize  that.  usually  careful  with  their  safety,  it  seemed  useless  to  worry  about  it  during  a  simple  ride.  driver  had  been  dismissed  and  for  hours,  man  and  woman  shared  delightful  fun  moments,  city  landscape  changing,  staying  behind  them.  a  spot   shrouded  in  shadows  seems  perfect  to  park  the  car,  hidden  from  anyone  that  could  be  wandering  during  the  night.  wenhui  maliciously  leans  over  sachiko,  carefreely  showering  his  girlfriend  in  kisses  and  compliments,  unaware  that  they  are  being  watched.  for  someone  interested  in  the  beijing  bourgeoisie,  isn't  hard  to  recognize  wenhui's  car.  an  easy  prey.  if  not  for  the  adrenaline  and  passion,  wenhui  would've  locked  the  doors;  better  yet,  wouldn't  be  there  for  long  enough  to  be  spotted  by  anyone.  doors  are  suddenly  open  on  both  sides  and  the  young  heir  is  dragged  from  his  seats  before  brains  can't  register  what's  happening.  in  a  blink  of  an  eye,  wenhui  is  sitting  on  the  floor,  thrown  by  someone  else.  palms  hurt  from  the  fall.  angry  words  are  shouted  in  his  native  tongue,  demanding  money.  the  nearest  gun  is  under  the  driver's  seat,  but...  to  reach  for  it  would  leave  his  back  open.  thoughts  only  last  a  fraction  of  a  second  in  his  head.  it  is  enough  time  for  a  gun  to  be  pulled  to  his  direction  and,  before  wenhui  can  think  of  anything,  sachiko  stands  up  in  front  of  him,  body  assuming  the  target  in  his  place.  the  woman  he  loves  reacted  quickly  to  protect  him;  more  importatly,  she  is  in  danger.  as  she's  yelled  to  stand  out  of  the  way,  wenhui  wastes  no  time  to  react.  a  few  seconds  and  he's  on  his  knees,  arms  in  hand,  pushing  her  out  of  the  way.  a  loud  gunshot  echoes.  a  third  body  touches  the  ground,  this  one  severly  wounded.  if  he  had  any  companions,  the  distancing  footsteps  belong  to  them.  a  deep  breath.  wenhui  blinks  and  goes  to  sachiko,  gun  kept  close.    —    are  you  insane?   —   it  doesn't  sound  mean  or  angry.  despair  drags  in  his  throat.    —    i  could've  lost  you!    —    realization  falls  upon  him  as  he  holds  her  petite  figure  in  his  arms,  worried  eyes  searching  potential  wounds  in  sachiko  before  he  closes  the  distance  between  them,  hugging  his  girlfriend.    —    i  could've  lost  you    —    words  are  repeated  with  more  relief,  though  still  the  same  amount  of  pain.
