The younger son of the esteemed Rosier family, Edmund -- or “Ed” as nearly everyone calls him -- knows he’s made a lot of mistakes in his life. He turned his back on the first and truest friend he ever made in his life; embraced his family’s blood purist ideals purely out of a desperate desire to please them; let his jealousy of his older brother poison their relationship to the point he refused to even speak to him; and broke the heart of the love of his life because he was convinced that they could never build a future together. After losing both his lover and his brother during the First Wizarding War and breaking away from his parents’ toxic influence and blood purist rhetoric, however, Ed has fought hard to turn over a new leaf. He’s now embraced Muggle technology and pop culture in a way he never would’ve before and he’s done a lot of soul searching, wanting to make up for who he used to be and chase a better and more fulfilling future for himself. And maybe now that he’s become the songwriter for an up-and-coming band, reconnected with his childhood best friend, and even decided to fight back against the growing Death Eater influence rather than stand back passively the way he did before...maybe he’ll finally earn that happily-ever-after he’s always wanted.
