“You don’t get it.” He repeated again when she told him it was nonsense. “You don’t just put on the mask and ... pretend to be a different person. It makes you a different person. You feel different. 

Whether you mean to or not. Its a bit like an actor slipping into a role for a movie I guess.” A good as any way to put it. “but its method acting. Really really good method acting. The type that make actors different after they’re done filming. The type of method acting that makes actors take breaks...” 

He looks at her. “Did you know a lot comic book super heroes are considered to have multiple personality disorder because their civilian lives are so different from their hero lives.” 

“If that’s fiction, what about real heroes?” He questioned, more to himself than anything. 

“No one would believe me if I came out as Darkwing... just like I have full confidence that if Gizmoduck took his mask off, a lot of people would go “that guy?” 

“You don’t mean to be someone different, you just are. “ 

He looks into his wine glass listening to her with a small frown. “... i don’t know what that last part means.” He admitted.

One never knows, indeed. She eyed the bottle of wine for a moment, gaze flickering back to him briefly before accepting this with a shrug of her own. “Now, in fact. Open it now.” Being in his territory, not to mention home, was reason enough to need a drink, in her opinion.
