It came after a long wait and weathering a million storms. We dated for 5 years, and the relationship started out as a tumultuous one, as we both were very strong willed individuals with pretty sketchy past relationships, adjusting was a big issue, but over the course of the years, without forcing, somehow being with each other became natural.
The day was a Friday, and it was hectic, yet beautiful. I got my dress a year before, and it was a beautiful pale pink with silver thread work. The jewelers were kind enough to cater to my bridal whims, and I got silver brushed jeweleries with white and green stone as the statement piece. My engagement ring design was ALL Pinterest and I loved it! It wasn't too fancy, neither was it expensive, but my wedding day was perfect ❤️

"In the heart of tradition, where the glow of gold meets the passion of red, she stands. Every intricate detail whispers stories of culture, heritage, and timeless elegance. A touch of royalty, a trace of history—she is more than adorned, she is a legacy.

'Dulhaniyaa', my F/F contemporary romance, is out for pre-order now!
In this Bollywood-inspired story, a woman consigns herself to the arranged marriage her family has set up, only to realize that she's falling for her dance instructor.
It has:
Desi Lesbians!
Bollywood-inspired camp and surreality
Meditations on queerness and Indian culture
Arranged marriage and forbidden romance
Cis/Trans and ButchFemme main couple
Lighthearted tone with HEA, but with serious moments

Sangeet Night
A Sangeet ceremony is an important part of Indian weddings – it’s like a pre-wedding reception where friends and family ceremonially welcome the couple into their lives and wish them the best for their future. This welcoming celebration often includes lots of dancing and music, religious traditions, ethnic games, ceremonial attires, delicious food, and more! A typical Sangeet ceremony involves music and dancing, typically in the form of a dance-off between the bride and groom’s families. There are also religious rituals such as a havan or puja to bless the couple and their upcoming union, as well as traditional games they can engage in together. The dress code is usually festive – bright colors and traditional sarees or lenghas for women, while men usually wear kurtas or Sherwanis.
