what’s Anne’s backstory? :)

So basically Anne was dealing with some untreated schizophrenia (it started when she was 6) she’s currently 8 or 9 idk)) while she was 6, she was brutally raped and beaten by her father (which leads to her having D.I.D. Which also didn’t help with the schizophrenia) this lead to having extreme memory loss, which isn’t great for someone in their developmental years.

Her father thought she had forgotten what he had done to her for almost EVEYRDAY as a six year old, but he was wrong when that’s LITERALLY the only thing she remembers (because of the memory loss) so he tried to ‘correct’ himself by taking him and Anne to church (the White Bell church is the one they go to). Which Anne loved being Christian once she was introduced, feeling like the Holy Spirit, the father and the soon gave her purpose. But once her father started to get sexual with female preachers, they were kicked out. But many of the people in the White Bell church felt that Anne was holy and should be aloud to do practices in the church, but the head pastor wouldn’t allow it.

this TORE Anne apart, ruining her mental health even further then it already is. Her father blamed her for everything that has happened to them, saying she was the cause of her and her fathers misfortune.

one day, her father invited her to go on a picknik outside in the woods (which is where he would always rape Anne so her screams couldn’t be heard) Anne knew what would happen so she snapped, she walked into the woods with a butcher knife, and sneaking up on him- killing him siwftly.

Her father doesn’t have a job, nor does he have any friends. So they were really isolated from society and others, the White Bell community being the only interactions with others. So it took about a whole damn 4 weeks for someone from the church to check in on them, to see how Anne was doing. That’s when two Nuns came over to their home and found Anne losing her sanity (also they found her cat dead which was Anne’s closest friend) Anne couldn’t recognize her cat because of the schizophrenia and memory loss, so she thought the cat was a threat and killed it)) Immediately the nuns called the police.

Anne at this point is lost, not recognizing ANYONE, not even her mother. (Who was divorced to Anne’s father, but moved to canada, leaving Anne in Washington) but obviously came when the police notified her)) Anne could only recognize her Dead father and would get extremely violent and deranged. Which lead to investigators sending her to the asylum where she would live until she was 20.

hello shark. my biggest hyperfication a few years ago was the (penguins part of the) madagascar series. boy was I excited when netflix made an original show all about the lemurs that was animated like the movies and everything.

boy was it so weird

so I don't know how much you know about the little brown one, mort, he is obsessed with king julien's feet and in all apparences before this show, was just a weird comic relief/heel. He was very dumb and foot obsessed and that was the joke

then came the show All Hail King Julien

Mort is centuries old. Mort sometimes disassociates between personalities or "different Morts" inside his head, one of them being his grandmother who knows secrets to the universe. If Mort drinks coffee, Smart Mort takes over his body and suddenly he speaks with a trans-atlantic acent and knows literally everything. Mort's brain is actually a pocket universe where several deranged Morts lay relatively dormant for most of the show, until the Apoclypse happens and Mort has to go inside his own head to fight them back from clawing their way out into the world. He then has to fight his grandma Mort to the death in this head pocket universe.

An inventor man on the island creates a cloning machine, but it turns out that it is not cloning people, it is bringing in versions of them from alternate dimensions. Morts come out of it. Apparently there is one single dimension that is solely populated by Morts. at this point in the show, they are all referred to as Morts, he may be a lemur but he is his own species now. The Mort dimensions is lead by a Mort who is a Ghangis Kahn parody, Morticus Kahn. He leads every mort in the dimension like they are a hive mind.

So much shit happens in this show like penguins of madagascar was just about silly ninja secret agent penguins doing weird stuff. All Hail King Julien starts off as a funny, raunchy-humored at times show that is both more childish than it's successor, but takes on really weirdly complex themes for a show like this. The first season is like LOL JULIENS DUMBBB LETS DANCE TO EDM ALL DAY YAYYYY and the rest is about how mort is god and death and hell incarnate

I have never seen anyone talk about this and it lives with me forever because What The Hell Was I Watching??? I don't even know if you know anything about Madagascar but I saw you mention the lemurs and this happened.

well I watched the Madagascar movies as a kid & I quite enjoyed the penguins (i have been kin assigned kowalski many times in the past). and I have heard whispers of mort’s dark truths. but this is wonderful information to have you are truly feeding my brain on this wonderful night. thank you
