Bonney was sitting at the bar swirling around a cup of Jack and Coke. Oh what a month it had been and misery was slowly catching up with her. Only way to drown it was with a lot of booze. Bonney was especially good at holding her booze.

Sitting hunched over the counter she downed another cup and slammed it on the table. Pretty much signaling the bar tender to fill it up again. She wondered how many she could take before she passed out.

Rubbing his head lazily, the rubber man opened the door and didn't seem too shocked to see Zoro standing there, perhaps a little curious and confused but not surprised. "O-oi, Zoro, weren't you just leaning against the wall over there?"

"How'd you get so lost so fast!? I didn't even notice!?" Swordsmen ship hadn't been the only talent the man had been training for the past two years?

Hearing the rapid knocks Bonney turned over in her bed. Looking out the window the sun wasn't even up yet. There were no signs of battle so it wasn't one of her roommates. Rolling out of bed she dragged herself to her door. Upon opening the door she woke to a shock.

╠❀~    She was soft, when she chose to be but most of the time she hid behind the walls she built. Zoro seemed to have found a crack in them and brought her out of her own mental prison. Robin felt like doing something for him, nothing crazy she didn't do crazy. No, Robin did subtle things, leaving occasional gifts that often pointed to it being her doing.

          His brow arched at the question and his stormy gaze fell upon a guy that ressembled a banana peel. Whoever the other was didn’t sound familiar to Zoro.

At first, Marco mistook this man for a plant caught in the wind. That would've explained why it was jiggling about. It wasn't really his fault, the phoenix was on much higher ground than the other, and so the view point wasn't all that beneficial. But no, upon closer inspection, the plant was indeed a human, someone on the island the crew and himself had called home for quite some time now.

"No. But it's in your best interests that you do. I've read plenty about you, one of strawhats crew right? You'll have to forgive me, I don't remember your name yoi."

Though the tone in his voice was calm, Marco was more then ready to deal with anything he determined as a threat, and simply being a friend of Luffy's wasn't going to stop him from protecting his family.

Um…I have no idea what do since haven’t RPed and it’s been a while since I read Rapunzel

It’s mostly dialogue in the end and I’m SORRY I TRIED

He was bored.

He was lost, too. But that didn’t bother Luffy half as much. He could easily find the rest of his crew if he made a big enough ruckus anyway. 

But he can’t because Nami said she’ll give him pickled vegetables for a whole month if he did. And that would suck since Sanji would definitely listen to Nami.

So, no funny business for Luffy, today. 

He was very, very, very bored.

Luffy had been sent far, far away from the busy streets of town while the others went about stocking up for the next leg of the journey. Instead, he was left to wander the empty back alleys, leading up to the expansive mansion of some Bird-guy. 

Nami had said that he was some important guy. Some bird guy. Honestly, he’d tuned out halfway through but was too scared to ask for his navigator to repeat herself. The young captain figured, as long as he stayed out of this Bird’s way, they’d all be fine. 

And it wouldn’t hurt to take a look. 

All Luffy found was disappointment thus far in his explorations. The palatial mansion sure was pretty but still boring. He couldn’t go inside so he was left wandering the perimeter, kicking dirt and pebbles as he went. “So boring. Stupid, stupid boring - “

"Can you not do that anymore? It’s getting dirt in.”

Ara? There was someone here - and from the sound of things, this guy wasn’t too happy with him for some reason? But where was he? Luffy spun around, almost unbalancing himself in an attempt to catch a glimpse of this mystery guy. Finally, someone to talk to! 

"I’m down here, idiot.” 

Oh.

That was strange. 

There was a moment of complete silence as Luffy contemplated the situation.

"…Are you in jail?" The guy looked a little scuffed up. Maybe he was in a fight and lost? Luffy bounded over closer to get a closer look, squatting to peer into the room. "Do you want me to help you get out? I can, if you want." 

It seemed like he was contemplating it, this other guy. “No.” 

"Why not?" Luffy demanded, caring very little that he was prying. He even poked his head through the bars of the jail cell to look inside. "Hmm… you have a lot of books in here. Are you sure you’re in jail?" 

It didn’t look like a prison cell at second glance.

"I’m notin jail.” Luffy barely afforded the guy a glance, too preoccupied with his explorations. His neck snaked through the narrow bars, bringing him further into the dark room. “I live here.” There was a tone of indignation. 

"Yeah, okay. You should get a better room. I’m Luffy, by the way. Who are you?" 

"I’m Law." Came to reluctant reply. The voice came from the darkest corner of the room, this time. Boy, was he quiet! Luffy hadn’t even noticed him moving. "You should go now." 

Luffy frowned.

"Why?"

"I don’t want you here." Came the level reply. Luffy used it to find his way through the dark, bringing his face up to the teen’s own. It was strange how he didn’t show surprise at his abilities. Maybe he was friends with devil fruit users too?

"Why?" Luffy pressed, curious to know and appreciative that someone didn’t mind his questioning. Even Brook, who was often patient with his curiosity tired of him after questionings. 

"Because you’re being a nuisance and you’re not supposed to be here."

Luffy pouted, hurt by the strange sullen boy’s words. “You’re kinda mean for a convict.” 

"Criminals aren’t nice.”  

"I’m a criminal and I’m nice. I offered to help you, you know!” Luffy protested, eyebrows furrowed in shock. 

"I don’t need help.” 

Luffy didn’t look convinced. “You can’t even leave this room! That sounds really bad to me.” 

"Who says I can’t leave this room?" It seemed that Law was genuinely curious to know. The glimmer of confusion in his dark eyes struck Luffy oddly. 

"Because if you could, you’d leave!" Luffy snapped back, raising his voice slightly in his growing frustration. "I would! Are you sure you don’t wanna leave?"

"…" He was staring at him with those dark eyes and for the first time since he’d stuck his nose quite literally into Law’s business, Luffy felt unsure of his new companion.

"I’m a pirate! I can take you anywhere!"

"…"

There was still no response and Luffy thought, perhaps, he was finally considering his offer. With a grin, he continued. ”Or you could be my nakama!”

"…"

"I’m gonna be the Pirate King, y’know!"

"Get out."

"What?" Flabbergasted, Luffy gasped. 

"I said, get out."  

"But - "

"GET OUT!"

"Law, what are you - "

"I DON’T WANT PIRATES IN HERE!"

"I’m not gonna - "

"GET OUT!"

"What’s wrong?”

"Are you deaf as well as stupid?” 

"Luffy!" Nami was calling, and the two teens paused as the callings continued, sounding worlds away while they were here in this silent room, this tiny sliver of time. "We’re ready to go! Come out already!" 

Luffy was the first to break the silence. “I’m Monkey D. Luffy. And if you change your mind… then, you know.” 

Law watched him go.
