waow I can't believe that the only time I make a semi-decent hand without refs, it would have been while doodling a medieval marginalia miniature between Predator: Hunting Grounds matches (I really suck at that game so I have to find ways to spend time while dead ahdjd)

Treehoppers are very shape. I doodle two of them on little sticky notes between a matches in 'Predator: Hunting Grounds'

Colours are a bit off bc testing new markers , and colour theory isn't colourtheorising(?) in my brain, so I struggled a bit to make them as close as the ref photos as possible.

I want to draw, I have ideas I want to draw, but I keep staring at the screen or proceed to delete everything I did.

In the end, I was able to do this really quick doodle from a photo found on pinterest

Can't believe that the first art I make of Nirael is a meme. But also, it's kind of on brand for me, I guess.

He's just a wee little boy, don't worry about him. Just give him your soul your phone to play games. He's just a little devil angel, nothing to worry about, really.

This OC was from a story I never finished working on, but that I shared a couple of pieces of it on my writeblr years ago. I recently re-read the scene I wrote with him in it and I wanted to try drawing what I described... but in the end I made a meme lmao

This original character is still unnamed and I only know that is an angel. Not even 100% sold on their human/mortal appearances, but I feel like this is close enough...

Maybe one day I'll be able to fire them out (or maybe not)... and one day I should try to get my hand and try drawing their angelic form (or anything close to that) and see if I still keep struggling lmao.

But as for now, they'll go in the backburner in my mind and cook slowly until I can figure out something more uh- clear of how they look. And their name, of course.

It took longer than I planned to complete this because I kept being unhappy with the results... but in the end I had to give up lmao

I like it anyway, so to me it's good enough 👍

Mixed media on 20x20cm sketchbook: watercolours, metallic markers, watercolour markers and watercolour pencils. Some white details added with a white gel pen and I used a fude pen to line everything.

Did I spend more time than I expected on this paintover to practice bc I *had* to find a font that looked like the one used in pokémon games? Yes.

Anyway, I wanted to practice pokémons (I sketched some fakemons a few days ago but uuughh I'm in rejection phase and idk if I'll ever finish and post them) aaaand ended up doing a redraw of a Pokémon Go screenshot that felt a bit meme-y LMAO
