With Guide Her Way Home part 4, I just wanna quickly discuss how tempted I was to break the entire fucking canon of Genesis just to have Death and Fury show up in the ice land/realm to help rescue reader, Strife and War.

Had this entire sequence planned out! But then thought against it because I wanted to keep the Genesis plot intact….

I’m kinda torn rn, might make a pole depending on how my thought process goes in a reblog.

But if any of you remember my Darksiders choose your adventure novel idea using discord as it’s format, I’m still keen on that… I really want to make a game-themed orientated experience. (I’ll elaborate further in a future post depending again on my thought process) but much like the aesthetic that the anon requested for Guide Her Way Home child!reader and if she was a playable character.

But… I’ve been doing a little thinkie think to myself and maybe actually turning the DS adventure novel idea… into a DnD type campaign?? However it’s not for certain, it’s not set in stone yet! There are many things I gotta do behind the scenes and the thought of being a DM is terrifying! But it is a thought…

DUDE NOOOOOOOOOOO

So I'm working on some graphics pieces right now and I'm looking for a potential image to act as a filler, and I SHIT YOU NOT IN THE GOOGLE IMAGES

I type in something along the lines of: darksiders 2 death poster image..." blah blah, and you know, the results come up pretty generic from the official poster graphics, other fan-made ones and some pretty cool fanart from deviantart.

What I don't expect is to see is the fucking graphic I made for "Even Death Was Once Young" fic!

I feel too exposed!

Even if it was 3 votes, FUUUUUUUCK! 😂 This wasn't even the official poll yet, but ya'll want that DnD campaign baaad. I'm kinda scared of the official poll... my anxiety can't take it but I've wanted to be part of a real DnD campaign for a while now especially to be a DM... it seems like a lot of fun despite the plethora of horror stories

Official poll will be out shortly, time to get the real results from the fans and community and then we'll go from there! 😄

─────────────── 🗯️Okaaay, random and weird ramble post here but I'm kinda scared right now because I'm going through a weird, poetic writing phase. It's so weird to explain... but I can't write normal, ya know? Like Habits, Soldat's Reprise, Ballad or some of my Darksiders stuff to name a few examples. That sort of normal. Whenever I try to write anything decently simple and normal, it's like either my writer brain shuts off completely or is like pulsing with this needy little voice saying: "Yeah heh heh! let's write some weird af, kinda loopy poetic shit that readers won't probably understand or comprehend, let's make sentences that border on the paragraph format!"

AND I FIND IT SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL THAT I CAN'T BE MAD, BUT WTAF IS GOING ON?! 😂 ───────────────

So just a random post here from the cubicle: I just got off the phone with my dad wishing him a happy father's day and we start talking heavily about writing and ya know, he's telling me that I should keep at it, maybe send through a manuscript somewhere to get looked at. Because he thinks that it's worth a try and reckons I got something. Of course, I thought he was doing what all dads do.

This is a scary thought process since I'm very critical and shy about my fictional work. Anyway, as he's telling me all this, he mentions the small manuscript I gave to Baba (my grandmother, his mother) who passed away a while ago now. I'd forgotten that I'd given it to her to read as this was years ago and he told me that she'd said to him that I had potential in my writing. She was a real book worm, always putting her nose into the pages. Somehow, somewhere, she saw... something in my work.

And it's mainly hitting me now because that manuscript's idea and identity has been on the backburner for AGES. I mean LITERALY YEARS because I lost confidence in it. It was shelved as a corked bottle alongside the shattered one of sbbtm's parent idea.

So yeah, I think I wanna give my fictional writings another go. An actual chance this time that isn't just a document sitting in my library for my eyes only. Only thing is to try I guess, to see if I am more tuned with words or if my aspirations to become a graphic novel author is my thing.

It was just a slice of comfort to me is all. A little push of encouragement that I maybe needed to hear from someone close.

BY THE WAY NO! HE DOESN'T KNOW I WRITE FANFIC OR SHARE IT ON HERE. HE THINK'S I'VE BEEN WRITING SHORT STORIES THIS ENTIRE TIME. PLEASE DON'T TELL HIM!

This isn’t a confirmation of anything, there is still plenty of idea tossing and turning. I’m just mainly interested to see what fellow Darksiders lovers/fans are more interested in…

GAME NOVEL — ADVENTURE CHOICE

Basic summary: Reader is a human who is mysteriously found around the general locale of some ruins the Horsemen are directed to by Ulthane once they reunite and settle into The Second Garden, the new haven for humanity.

The Horsemen chase after follow this human and learn that they have ties to Ulthane but has run into some trouble. Reader’s Bridge Stone was destroyed and has remained stuck in the realm they are in now. In exchange for safe escort back to Ulthane, the reader agrees to help the Horsemen get into the ruins and get what they came for.

This intro serves as a basic and overall tutorial level for readers, engaging them with puzzles and interactive points and dialogue options and more.

D&D CAMPAIGN — TTRPG/VIDEO GAME

Basic summary, very rough draft: Players can (possible ti change however) choose from two races: Human and Eld’hyunen. There are basic classes to choose from and can be levelled up to define your class more. The party can go up to 4 players, totalling the party to 8 with the Horsemen. (DEPENDING!) There is likely a friendship system and romance system.

Players will follow a storyline crafted by myself, the DM. (Depending on the results, again I just wanna see where the general interest is at, there will probably be some story snippets and general info about the campaign, yada yada). But overall it’s a causal thing meant to be fun and explorative, using both canon lore, headcanons and more.
