Do you have any Ideas yet for new/significant story demons for your fanmade smt idea?

Not yet... well I have some that are, yeah.

Demons I know for sure that will be story significant: -Cerberus -Gabriel -Lucifer [duh]

I want to include Mastema somehow, but I don't wanna touch him until I'm done Strange Journey (current smt im playing) so I can get a better grasp on how to write him. There's some demons I can see being bosses, like Koga Saburo in my head would be the first boss you run into, probably trying to make the abandoned facility you woke up in his demon domain because he believes beings like you will only cause turmoil to the current fragile state of humanity--which, he's right, but he doesn't have to be a DICK about it [self righteous kinda guy, he is].

Cerberus and Gabriel being story significant is sort of a classic SMT trope, but almost a tradition in ways. Cerberus is the definition of loyalty and perservence in SMT1/2 and Gabriel of course is such an important Law figure, being Zayin's guardian angel II and sister Gabby in IV, so I have some ideas on how to include her in the foundation of the Covanent of God, as someone who deems themselves carrying out God's will by being the patron saint of the Covanent, because in my experience [I was raised Catholic, but I currently don't identify with it anymore] most holy orders choose patron saints and figureheads to name themselves after and model their rules after. My sister used to be a cloistered nun modeled after St. Theresa, for instance, so they followed her rules and dressed like her, abstaining from society. Whether Gabriel like... is as directly involved or not... I will muse over.

Might include some of my favorite demons in some form as plot signficant like Baal for instance. I also wanna include more SMT1/2 demons since it be fun to re-imagine them in a semi 3D enviroment. Demons like from the machine race, for instance, since the relationship with technology is a big part of my narrative.

Here's some of the Cyber/Machine race. A lot of the demons tend to just be robots and original creations to add filler to the techno cyberpunk aspect of the games, but the ones like Bigfoot and Golem who are indeed mythological /folklore creatures being re-imagined as bioweapons or such since they both are "manmade" is cool to me.

Other than that, I actually wanna include some of my friends' ocs for funsies as demons. Some of my friends have really cool mytholigcally inspired or just aesthetically similar ocs that I think would fit really cool into the world of SMT. Especially my friends' ocs Knight of Cyndonia and Medb. Those are the ones I think of instantly, lol. Show them some love and browse through their works because they are amazing.

A conlang based on Lingua Franca Mediterranea, a language (the original lingua franca) spoken by Medieval traders and sailors in the Mediterranean Basin -- largely an Italian (especially Venetian and Ligurian) creole with French, Occitan, Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, and Arabic influences. Lengua de Mar is closely based on the Lingua Franca, with somewhat more non-Italian vocabulary.

Rules: list all your main ocs and give brief descriptions of them. then, create a poll with their names and allow your followers to vote on who their favorite character is.

It's hard to define who would be my 'main' ocs, I have a lot of projects and main characters. I'll do the main cast of the Chronicle of Fintan and Aodh, since if I did Battles Beneath the Stars this would be massive and the Chronicle of Fintan and Aodh cast all appear in BBtS anyway.

Aodh

The red dragon of fire, born when a star fell to the land. He is impulsive and blunt, favoring brute force solutions, but also has a melancholic side that mainly comes out when considering the mortality of his friends compared to his immortality. He doesn't like people being restrained by status or tradition.

While the other dragons consider each other siblings, Aodh doesn't want to be tied to any wider family, seeing it as just a source of obligations that burden people. Despite that he puts up with plenty of things he'd rather not just so he can be with Fintan and other mortal friends.

Fintan

The kind and curious prince of Lunis. He's well aware of how sheltered and privileged his life has been, accepting that leaving his dream of traveling the world unfulfilled is the trade off of his royal status. Aodh offers him a whole new perspective on things, but Fintan still remains dedicated to his role as a royal before anything else.

Fintan's main goal is to create a genuine peace for the kingdom, he doesn't want a peace that relies on the threat of violence. Yet ironically Fintan ended up with a deeply loyal ally who could destroy entire countries and would if Fintan asked him to.

Doran

A samurai who was raised alongside Fintan, serving as his most loyal retainer and bodyguard. He's an orc, which isn't unusual in Lunis, but his blue skin that shows his foreign parentage is, which gets him called a foreigner despite having never been outside of Lunis. Doran has a bit of a temper owing to frustrations like this.

He and Fintan are more like brothers than anything else, but Doran maintains a formal attitude whenever anyone else is around. Doran wishes Fintan would see himself as more than his royal role, and Fintan wishes Doran wouldn't be so focused on their respective ranks.

Ciara

Ciara is a record keeper who was assigned to write down a record of Fintan's royal pilgrimage as it took place. She was trained for as long as she could remember to have no presence, to be a tool for recording history rather than a person in it. Then Aodh came along, and his influence led to her reclaiming her sense of individuality and befriending him, Fintan, and Doran.

The story is Ciara writing her own account of Fintan and Aodh, looking back to their first meeting in the wake of certain events. As the narrator she is unapologetically biased in favor of her friends and is the sort to have an aside about how she hopes certain factions eat shit and die for what they did.

So, to draw a conclusion, it seems there are 148 individuals specifically confirmed to be in Hell or about to get there, plus three (Cain, Antenor, and Ptolemy XIII) who are not so confirmed, but literally have a place in Hell with their name on it.

Of these 148, 68 (46%) are Italian, 35 (24%) are Greek, 18 (12%) are ancient Romans (including the Hispanic Seneca and the North African Priscian), 5 (3.4%) are Trojans, and 3 (2.0%) are pre-Roman Italians from the Aeneid. It's worth remembering that while Dante had a conception of Italy as a rough cultural and geographical unit, at that time the region was divided in dozens of independent states usually quite hostile to each other.

Other nationalities represented twice are Arab (Averroes and Mohammed, though you could include Saladin and Avicenna), English (Guy de Montfort and Bertran de Born, though they become 5 with Scottish Michael Scot, Cornish Tristan, and Welsh Mordred), French (pope Clement V and Ganelon), and Jewish (Caiaphas and Judas).

As for gender, 16 of the 148 figures (11%) are women (7 in the Limbo, 5 Lustful, 1 Flatterer, 1 Fortuneteller, 2 Perjurers).

In addition, 21 Biblical characters (Adam, Abel, Noah, Moses, Abraham, David, Isaac, Jacob, Jacob's children, Rachel) plus "many others" are stated to have been in Limbo in the past, but freed after Jesus' resurrection.

Dante does in fact wonder why he cannot recognize anyone from that circle (though I'd wonder the opposite: why would you expect to recognize any specific person from a crowd of millions (especially with characters like Hector that he can't possibly know what they'd looked like (although tbf most named characters identify themselves or are pointed out to him))) and Virgil responds that they are made unrecognizable by the ugliness of their particular sin.
