I have been dealing with Ducktales brainrot since back in March. So, guess what? I'm posting all of the drawings and sketches I've made from March all the way to now. (Along with other stuff because I can)

Half of a curse: part 1

(A Fethry duck x Poe de spell fic)

The moon light was reflecting into the ocean waves. Fethry was fixated on the reflection which would fracture. But even with all the energy he had, the drowsiness started to settle in.

"Hey Mitzy were heading home now!" Fethry shouted to his companion. Soon they both arived at duckburg's bay.

"Good night mitzy!" Fethry shouted as Mitzy submerged herself underwater.

Fethry was left alone in the cold sand as he quickly started to run back to his uncle's mansion.

Fethry had a choice to stay at the scrooge's lab under the money bin, or stay at mcduck manor until he was able to get his own house.

Although he was sad he wouldn't be able to see Mitzy every night, he was done for under water labs for a while.

For the most part he was fine, but was a bit saddened because he had to let go of his krill team due to his new living conditions. Of course Della was always there to chear him up, although with her crazy dangerous antics, even he got a bit tired of them. He always had the "little donalds". He seamed to enjoy the red, and the pink one the most. He also loved it when pink's friends would show up. The moody teenager got along with him surprisingly well, and the sabrewing would always exchange ocean facts with Fethry.

Fethry opened the window in his room to get a bit of fresh air.

He once again got fixated on the moon once again. One side luminated, and warm the other dark with looming shadows.

Upon gazing on the moon how ever he caught something purple, and black moving in the corners of his eyes, before it swooped in through the window.

Soon a bang was heard at the door.

It was a raven.

The raven had a panicked expression on it's face.

But Fethry quickly got it in his arms, and checked to see if it had any serios injuries.

"Why don't you stay with me for the night" The raven did not even seem to appose the idea as it quickly went flew to Fethry's bed in a hurry.

Both of them slept peacefully.

Fethry woke up, but did not see the raven. Fethry assumed it left since he left the window open.

After a chaotic breakfast, Della set the kitchen on fire, Gladstone came over, and absolutely made Donald furious, so much so that he ended up flipping the table, and dewey somehow ended up chocking on his food beacause he dared Webby in a "who could eat mom's food the fastest" competition, luckily Violet knew how to do abdominal thrusts .

Nothing out of the ordinary.

Fethry, and Gladstone decided to head out to the garden.

Both of them were just catching up, traveling through the fields of hyacinth flowers.

After travelling through this arrange of flowers Gladstone spot something glowing. It was a purple glow.

He decided to go, and inspect it, and found a amulate with a gold base, and outline surrounding a purple gemstone.

"Oooh what did you find this time gladdy" Fethry asked behind him with his ever growing curiosity.

"An amulate" Gladstone said with disgust as he remembered the day he had lost his luck, and it was first day he had to ever use the stairs, and use a door knob. How awful indeed.

"Look Feth, i think we should tell uncle mc.d about this" "why?" Fethry asked.

"It's a long story. Anyways i will tell you on the way back, k" Gladstone said. Fethry followed.

Both of them were passing through the roses when Fethry saw the raven he met last night. He told Gladstone to stop. He stopped, and Fethry pointed to the raven.

Fethry noted that the raven was laying with one foot crossed in the rose field so he hastily went to edge of the stone road, and was about to got to the roses. However Fethry forgot that these roses had sharp thorns, and scratched his foot on they way there.

Gladstone cringed at the sight of Fethry's scratched knees, and foot. "Your bleeding cuz". "Oh?" Fethry responded as he looked down at the raven he picked up."let's go" Gladstone told Fethry. "Fine, but tell me about the story".

"So anyways i was hit with this purple magic thingy blast, and then.." They both opened the door. "I turned into something hideous ... i turned into Donald, i was horrified when i looked at my reflection" Gladstone cried, covering his face with his elbow dramatically. Donald started to breathe heavily against Gladsone's neck. Fethry giggled.

Fethry looked down at the raven who had a panicked expression on their face. "It's ok little guy i'll get you patched up, no need to be scared" Fethry whispered to the raven.

Della who had walked into the room after hearing shouts coming from Gladstone, and Donald. "Why do those always find a way to argu-" Della cut off her own words. "Fethry what happened?" Della asked as he saw Fethry's scratched up leg that was bleeding a little amount by now. "I just went into the rose field to get this rave-"

Della dragged Fethry to the nearest bathroom. "Dellaaaaaa i'm not a little kid anyyyyymoooreeee" Fethry whined, as he held the raven in his arms. Fethry was sitting in the bathroom counter, and his feet where dangling as Della applied rubbing alcohol to Fethry's injuries to disinfect them. Della had a dead serious face. "Seriously i'm not littleeeee anyyymoooore" Fethry whined, and winced. Della soon started to put blue bandaids with fish illustrations. Although it was hard to put them in the exact location of the spots because she could not concentrate due to Donald's, and Gladstone's arguing just outside the bathroom.

Soon Della started putting bandages on the raven's leg too.

The three of them walked out of the bathroom, only to see scrooge with a dead serious face.

"Do you know whay i called ye all heerrr" Scrooge said with his Scottish accent being thicker than usual.

He guestured to the amulet Gladstone found earlier. "This amulet with out a doubt belongs to magica" "aunt magica? But i have the amulet! How could she possibly have another one?" The moody teen, Lena answered. "Maybe she has another one?" Donald questioned, but lena din't understand a word he said so Della had to translate. "Theres a reason why she wanted the amulet that i have, with me!" Lena said in a louder voice than usual,

"I'll go get the weapons" The pink one, Webby said. Violet chased after her, and soon Dewey did to. Louie gave up when he had to climb the stairs.

Beakly quickly started to search the perimeter for any sign of magica, duckworth soon joined.

Fethry went to his bedroom where he layed in bed with the raven he was still holding on to. Fethry was suprised how quickly he had gotten attached to the raven. Not surprising considering his love for animals.

Gladstone soon joined Fethry in his room. They started chatting, while the others set up their defences, and equipped themselves with some weapons.

"Hey gladdy we should go, and help them" "right.." Gladstone responded. Both got up to leave, but della opened the door. "Both of you stay put" "but" both of them answered in sync. "Stay put" Della said as she gave them a spear, a triton, and two shields. Both of them sighed.

Gladstone soon fell asleep as he din't get eneugh "beauty sleep" last night, Fethry just layed down in bed next to gladstone, as the raven layed on top of his belly.

Fethry smiled, and looked at in a hypnotic way.

Fethry, and the raven starred at each other for who nows how long. Fethry soon blocked the world out like he usually does.

Spanish/ Italian false friends 1 -- The animal kingdom?

In linguistic terms, a false friend is a word that looks or sounds the same (or even just similar) to another word in a different language, which however has a completely different meaning. The treacherous word, then, seemingly helpful (”Oh, this looks so much like X that it has to mean the same!”), turns out to be misleading.

Now, there are countless such pairs between Italian and Spanish. To spare learners the mistakes of their predecessors, I’m going to tackle some in a series of posts -- we’ll start with a trip through the animal kingdom (and more!).

Burro

In Spanish, el burro is a donkey. Its Italian counterpart il burro, though, while looking exactly the same, actually stands for butter!

SP. (el) burro = donkey // IT. (il) burro = butter

SP. El burro come pasto. -- The donkey eats grass.

IT. Il burro è uno degli ingredienti della torta. -- Butter is one of the cake’s ingredients.

Corvo

Immortalized by Edgar Allan Poe as a talkative -- if a bit repetitive -- bird with a penchant for the dramatic, il corvo (Italian for raven) does have a close enough equivalent in Spanish (el cuervo). However, the word corvo, also present in the Spanish dictionary, actually means curved or arched.

SP. corvo = curved (adj.) // IT. (il) corvo = raven, crow

SP. El cuervo es un ave de pico corvo. -- The raven is a bird with a curved beak.

IT. Il corvo è nero. -- The raven is black.

Garza

Garza is the Spanish word for heron. In Italian, the same term stands for an inanimate object: la garza is a gauze, a bandage.

SP. (la) garza = heron // IT. (la) garza = gauze, bandage

SP. Vi una garza en el pantano. -- I saw a heron in the swamp.

IT. Passami la garza, devo cambiare la fasciatura. -- Hand me some gauze, I need to change my bandage.

Lobo

A scary wolf out of a fairytale, or a nonthreatening lobe? You take your pick!

SP. (el) lobo = wolf // IT. (il) lobo = lobe

SP. El personaje del lobo se encuentra en muchos cuentos infantiles. -- The wolf features as a character in many children’s stories.

IT. Il lobo è una parte dell’orecchio. -- The (ear)lobe is a part of the ear.

Loro

While the Spanish loro is a parrot, in Italian the same word is actually a personal pronoun, meaning they or them, or even a possessive adjective, meaning their.

SP. (el) loro = parrot // IT. loro = they, them, their

SP. El loro no paró de cantar durante todo el viaje. -- The parrot sang through the whole trip.

IT. I colpevoli siete voi, non loro! -- You’re the guilty ones, not them!

Rata

La rata, in Spanish, is the rodent commonly known as rat. While a similar word meaning rat does exist in Italian (il ratto), the exact lookalike of the Spanish term steers us towards a whole other direction -- la rata being an installment of a payment.

SP. (la) rata = rat // IT. (la) rata = installment (payment)

SP. Las ratas son un problema en muchas ciudades. -- Rats are a problem in many cities.

IT. La prossima rata va pagata entro lunedì. -- The next installment must be paid by Monday.

Topo

No, we’re not done with mice -- introducing il topo (Italian for mouse). For once on this list, the Spanish false friend el topo also stands for an animal, albeit a different one, the mole (which, contrary to popular belief, is not a rodent!).

SP. (el) topo = mole // IT. (il) topo = mouse

SP. El topo hace túneles. -- The mole digs tunnels.

IT. Quel topo si è mangiato tutto il mio formaggio! -- That mouse ate all my cheese!

F.O.W.L. Case Files: Calling Agent X

First, huzzah for the return of DuckTales! 🥰

Second, I just want to get some theories off my chest before “The Phantom and the Sorceress!” airs, namely in regards to the Phantom Blot and co. When Disney+ dropped last year and I watched DT87 fully for the first time, the following guy stuck out to me from the Phantom Blot’s episode, “All Ducks On Deck”:

Ensign Plover, aka Agent X.

An apparent right-hand man to Admiral Grimitz in the Navy, in reality a cohort in Phantom Blot’s Operation Aardvark plan.

The earliest theory note (that I haven’t seen in quite a while, but just found) for this (or any) Agent X is that they were the one sent out to (try to) sabotage the Spear of Selene (back when that theory had more life 😅), or that maybe it was the pig in the search rocket from “What Ever Happened to Della Duck?!”

There was also a different Agent X in the DT87 episode, “The Duck Who Knew Too Much.” This Agent X was a man working with Agent Gold Feather to procure the Mantis Robot to steal Scrooge’s gold. That episode featured Fenton and Gandra, and served as the inspiration for DT17 Gandra’s characterization as a scientist. Between this and the other episode, my mind was racing with ideas of who Agent X could be in DT17, and where and how they could fit into the F.O.W.L. hierarchy - with the Phantom Blot? with Gandra? as an independent agent?

With part of Season 3 now under our belts though, and what with the bits of info we’ve gotten about the Phantom Blot so far, and his official DT17 debut upon us, my theories are definitely honing in on an Agent X-Phantom Blot connection (be it in this next episode or a later one), or at the very least, that we’ll see an Agent X within F.O.W.L. Those are my main theories here.

The following are just some musings (about Agent X, the Phantom Blot, and more) based on everything we have available to us so far (minus the Phantom Blot’s comic or other animation appearances, since I haven’t gotten into those yet), since there’s nothing strong enough between them all to really grind out one cohesive theory yet beyond just Agent X showing up in some capacity:

In regards to Ensign Plover - if he specifically shows up, either as Agent X or not, he might be redesigned as the “delightful sidekick” that Frank mentioned the Phantom Blot would get?

I know a lot of people have been theorizing that either the Phantom Brat or Poe might possibly be this sidekick. To throw my own red-string-crack-theory into this particular ring, I just want to point out the following about the Ensign’s name: PlOvEr (I’m making POE stand out from his name). Do with that what you will. 😂 (Disclaimer though - that spelling of “Plover” could very well be wrong. It’s hard to hear the pronunciation in the episode, and I’ve seen a number of different spellings online. This has been the most consistent spelling I’ve seen though, so I’m going with it.)

Before we knew that Giancarlo Esposito was going to be playing the Phantom Blot and we’d gotten more info about his character, one of my possible theories was going to be that the Phantom IS Plover is disguise. But hey, perhaps Plover is still a part of his backstory?

For those who’ve seen “All Ducks On Deck” - the Phantom Blot’s lair/lab/office in the new episode (seen above; from that new interview with Giancarlo) gives me some reminiscing vibes of the Blot’s lair in that DT87 episode.

This makes me think that there’s a possibility of “Operation Aardvark” showing up. This operation in DT87 involved Plover stealing the Navy’s invisible fighter jet plane for the Phantom Blot, who would then build a whole “air force of invisible jets” as part of his master plan to take over the world. At any rate, I’m keeping my ears open for the word “aardvark,” but regarding DT17 Phantom Blot’s plans...

There are two quotes (both said by the Blot) from the DT87 episode that might be useful to keep in mind:

“One must be patient if one wants to take over the world.”

“If one expects to take over the world, one must know how to handle people.”

(He also mentions that he wants to rule the world with an iron fist, which plays well with his new DT17 gauntlet, but I digress.) These two quotes and his plan totally fit F.O.W.L.’s MO - they have definitely been playing the long game, and they have been handling Scrooge and co. like puppets for their plans to steal the world. In the above-mentioned interview with Giancarlo, he says that the Phantom Blot “hates magic and wants to take all of the magic out of the world,” which would definitely help F.O.W.L. in stealing it. As far as the “hating magic” part goes, that will probably play into the Blot’s personal motivations. The way he says, “You. It wasn’t enough.” in that clip is, for one, chilling, but I think it’s gonna bring up a dynamic between him and either Magica, Gladstone, or Lena. I’m putting my own money on that line being directed at Gladstone, given what we’ve seen of him in the clips so far, and that the following screenshot of him pulling in Webby’s axe (throwing this in there - Black Knight, anyone?) seems to be in the same scene as the second screenshot, where Gladstone is unconscious and Webby doesn’t have her axe:

(Just for completeness’ sake, here’s the promo poster with Webby holding her axe in her sleepwear, which brought me to the above possibility:)

The main point is that, whatever “wasn’t enough” might refer to some past deal or trade with Gladstone (or one of our magic-holders). (And a larger point is that this fits well into theories of F.O.W.L. agents teaming up with the organization for mutual benefit, like with Rockerduck.)

Maybe he wants to blot out phantoms of his/the past, or of history?

Anyway, this veered far from Agent X and probably lost all coherence at some point, but whatever the case may be for both him and the Phantom Blot, I’m excited to see our ducks again! 😁🥳

So I had this [bad] idea for a Ducktales au of some sort: Now Anastasia is a meh movie to me, it’s ok but not something I would watch over again if given the choice. But I cannot express how much I love the soundtrack! So Dickie is Anya and Goldie is the Empress (Anya’s grandmother), and Dickie somehow got separated from Goldie young. (I’m going to continue where I’m going with this in another ask)

Continued: It begins with A Rumor in St. Petersburg but with slightly altered lyrics and it’s A Rumor in Duckburg about how Goldie’s long lost granddaughter may still be alive. I can’t decide whether or not Dickie would have amnesia, but she still sings Once Upon A December recalling faded childhood memories. Then she leaves wherever she is as she sings Journey to the Past. Dickie soon meets Louie, a charming con-artist who helps Dickie reunite with Goldie (but minus the Anya x Dimitri romance plot because that would be weird) This was also an idea I’m getting at 1:50 am too, so I haven’t thought everything trough either, but I guess Merlock could be Rasputin. 

OK so first when you sent this i immediately imagined Magica as Rasputin and i doodled some fun stuff here lol (also im not gonna draw this BUT negaduck would also make an amazing rasputin)

AND THEN you sent this:

(This is the same Anastasia au anon) I love musicals, and I kept putting off listening to Anastasia because I haven’t had the time. But I just listened to the whole soundtrack and WOW! I love it! So now I’m thinking Vlad is Gladstone (Vlad = Glad), Magica is Lilly, and either Gyro or Poe Despell is Gleb. (Bonus: Dickie now sings the words “Meet the royal… mess”, and that seems very fitting) | I hate to kill beloved characters but Im doing it anyway. Scrooge is the deceased husband of Goldie, and who the bridge is named after, Della and Donald were killed in the execution, and Della’s unhatched triplets were assumed to be dead as well. In the end, however, it turns out that someone saved the eggs and that Dickie wasn’t the only long-lost McDuck, Louie is too (I’m probably going way too deep into this au, and I apologize for sending so many asks about it) | (I promise this is the last ask about the Anastasia au) I’m changing the end of the musical to better suit the au. In the end, Louie, Dickie, and Goldie set out on an adventure to find Huey and Dewey, or something like that.

SO no one really feels like Gleb but i still drew gyro as gleb anyway gweniopgweb but ANYWAY, this is a very fun AU i love it. i used the comic designs for these ones cuz magicstone as lilly/vlad feels better with their comic versions. the lilly/vlad song in the musical really makes me think of reboot!scroldie but yknow theres lots of good stuff here so heres more doodles

Resistance Reborn : molte ragioni per cui non era necessario ma un motivo per leggerlo

Di cosa parla il libro

Allora, sicuramente c’è da dire che il soggetto è Poe: nello specifico, quello che deve fare per rimediare a ciò che ha causato in The Last Jedi. Sicuramente l’obbiettivo della storia è mostrare come, in poco tempo, la Resistenza riesce a racimolare nuovi capi e nuove attrezzature, dando una breve spiegazione.

A quanto pare si viene a sapere che la chiamata di Leia non è stata udita perché il Primo Ordine ha da tempo sequestrato e incarcerato i simpatizzanti della Resistenza, quindi non c’era nessuno che li potesse udire. Tra l’altro, la storia è così immediatamente successiva a Crait che nessuno sa ancora cosa è successo: la distruzione della flotta dell’Ordine, la morte di tutti i generali e degli ammiragli e di Luke. Si rivedono molte facce conosciute in altri libri e nei fumetti, perciò se siete un minimo esperti di canon vi farà piacere incontrare di nuovo vecchi personaggi, anche se la loro presenza massiccia pesa sulla narrazione a parer mio è diventato noioso leggere le sotto-trame di ognuno mentre la storia si frazionava troppo.

Un pensiero generale sul libro, sulla sua qualità, aldilà di Star Wars: io darei un 5. Oltre alla necessità di sapere materialmente cosa è successo, il libro non intrattiene. Anzi, ci sono molti altri libri lì fuori che sembrerebbero meno necessari e invece sono bellissimi (Phasma, per esempio). Scrittura blanda, approfondimento dei personaggi altrettanto blando, azione risolutiva alla fine del libro inconsistente, villain inutili. Personalmente credo che in un contesto moralmente ambiguo come StarWars che gioca molto sui chiaro scuri, siano sempre più interessanti i personaggi che seppur cattivi pensano di fare del bene e di essere nel giusto (Cardinal, Ammiraglio Rae Sloane) e questo tale Bratt che offriva un minimo di antagonismo era noioso e forse anche superfluo. Insomma, all’interno della narrazione penso ci siano molte cose non necessarie. A dire il vero, avrebbero potuto farci un fumetto.

Avrei preferito un fumetto chiamato “Resistance Reborn” e un libro “The rise of Kylo Ren”, ma ormai le cose stanno così.

 Personaggi un po’  …. meh

Ma andiamo alla parte succulenta: i personaggi centrali della storia sono Leia e Poe. Riguardo a Leia, è stata forse la delusione peggiore. Per chi ha letto i libri della Grey, sappiate che non regge il confronto. Caratterizzazione inesistente. Ci viene detto appena appena che 1. Sta ancora male per la sua passeggiata spaziale 2.A quanto pare vuole istruire Rey sulla speranza … ma sarebbe stato carino capire dove prende la sua. A questa donna ne sono capitate di tutti i colori e si regge ancora in piedi e parla di speranza, cosa anche possibile, ma dare un’idea del perché?? Un po’ di introspezione? Magari perdere due righe per dire come si sente visto che il fratello si è sacrificato per loro mentre suo figlio tentava di ucciderli tutti?? No.

Passiamo a Poe. Ora, lo metto in chiaro: a me Poe non piace. Come personaggio secondario ci stava, ma come mi ha infastidito in TLJ! Non mi è piaciuto nulla di quello che ha fatto. Mi piaceva invece l’idea che accusasse un po’ di dispiacere per quello che aveva causato. Almeno nel libro si degna di ricordare la morte di Paige Tico e vagamente si rende conto che forse è colpa sua. Detto questo, non mi piace come è passato da vergognarsi di sé stesso a fare grandi dialoghi sulla libertà alla fine. Troppo repentino, secondo me. Ricorda un po’ Jyn Erso e il suo cambio di opinione da una scena all’altra in Rouge One. In un film me lo faccio anche andar bene ma l’introspezione?? Questa sconosciuta tecnica narrativa??

Altrettanto fastidioso è stato leggere come anche se lui si dispiaceva sembra che immediatamente tutti gli abbiano detto: “E ma sai com’è: sei bello, avevi buone intenzioni, ma dai ti perdoniamo!”. In secondo luogo, per quanto mi pare che sia stata passata come una storia di redenzione – anche dall’autrice – Poe stesso che non cerca redenzione, ma vuole fare ammenda. E non è proprio la stessa cosa. (Io dico: Ovvio. Perché non ha detto scusa a nessuno. Non si è mica scusato con Rose, NO, ha solo deciso che gli servivano più X-wing. Perché lui ha detto che ha capito che ha sbagliato allora tutti gli altri hanno applaudito e subito tutti a tarallucci e vino). E poi Ben dovrebbe pagarla? Pagare lo scotto per potersi redimere? Poe avrà ammazzato più persone da solo in una scena che Kylo Ren in tutta la sua carriera ... Semplicemente non mi sembra giusto. Come non mi sembra giusto che tutti gli ripetano che ha dei capelli bellissimi. (Mi scusi signore, ma qualcun altro ha dei capelli più belli, mi dispiace). Ma ora sto divagando.

Le ship

Ma quale Reylo? Ma quale FinnRose? Qui la stormpilot imperversa. C’è una scena dove Poe aiuta Finn a mettersi la cravatta. Giuro di aver scritto una fanfiction uguale. Comunque, l’interezza del libro non si eleva dal livello di bassa fanfiction (anzi, ce ne sono alcune bellissime e molto più elaborate). Ma se siete un minimo Stormopilot, il libro vi piacerà molto. Personalmente è stata la prima ship che ho shippato, almeno per la prima oretta del film Il risveglio della Forza. Rose mi piace molto e mi dispiacerebbe se la lasciassero sola nel prossimo film. Se la stormpilot avvenisse, almeno spero che mi arrangino Rose con qualcuno, perché se lo merita.

Ma la Reylo???

Ed ecco il vero motivo per cui questo libro si deve leggere. La mia teoria è che Rey abbia detto a Finn e Leia del ForceBond.

Per prima cosa, c’è una possibile scena di Forcebond qui:

“Well, that’s someone, Rey of Jakku. That’s someone, indeed”. Rey flushed scarlet and took a gulp of tea. She choked briefly and quickly set the cup down. She pressed a hand to her mouth, coughing hard. “Are you all right?” Charth asked, leaning forward.

In una conversazione che è stata messa subito in chiaro riferimento con l’ultima conversazione tra Rey e Kylo, perché poco prima Rey si identifica come “nessuno” ancora una volta, viene smentita e dopo un po’ si strozza con il tea …? E poi scappa via?? E poi guarda un po’, chissà perché si manifesta il Primo Ordine su Ryloth senza nessun motivo apparente, e tutti continuano a dare opinioni e fare ipotesi sul come mai siano così tanto nell’Orlo esterno.

In un secondo momento, poi Poe si imbatte in Rey e Finn che parlano vicinissimi e a bassa voce, ma si fermano non appena lo vedono arrivare. Rey va via e Poe chiede se stesse bene. Poe insiste e Finn dice che si fida di Rey e sa che lei avrà tutto sotto controllo. In oltre dice questo:

“I know you said Rey had it under control, but is it everything okay? With Rey? That conversation looked serious”. Finn’s Brow furrowed in thought. “She’s gone to talk to Leia about it. She didn’t want to burden her, but I told her Leia needed to know”. “Whoa”, Poe said, hand grasping Finn’s Harm and bringing him to a stop “Is there something I should Know, too? If Leia’s in danger …”. “Rey will handle it”

Alla fine del libro Rey sembra aver deciso di dedicarsi alla speranza. A quanto pare lei e Leia condividono questa cosa, questa missione di riempire il vaso goccia a goccia per formare un oceano. Ora mi chiedo … si riferiscono alla Resistenza solamente? Perché Leia aveva perso la speranza in suo figlio alla fine di The Last Jedi e Luke le aveva detto che “nessuno e veramente perduto”. È da qui che trae la sua speranza? Dal fatto che pensa che in qualche modo suo figlio possa tornare indietro almeno alla fine? Avrei preferito saperlo, ma il libro non si degna di dare mezza motivazione a questa cosa.

Vista la rabbia con cui Rey affronta Kylo nel trailer, dubito che lei mantenga ancora speranze verso di lui … ma Leia è un’altra questione.

Per concludere, penso sia probabile che il film parta con Finn e Leia che sanno del Forcebond ed in qualche modo Poe lo venga a sapere. Visto il soggetto, sono ancora convinta che non gli piacerebbe affatto. è probabile che sia questo quello a cui si riferisce Rey quando dice che “tutti le dicono che la conoscono ma nessuno può?” magari si aspettano cose diverse da lei riguardo la gestione della sua relazione con Kylo?

(Fethry duck x Poe de spell fic)

Fethry woke up by himself.

Except for the raven who was still sleeping on his belly.

Fethry slowly scooped it, and moved it to the side of his hed.

Gladstone din't even make a slund when he left, not wanting to wake up his cousin.

It had been at leat 2 hours. 2 hours of extra sleep Fethry managed to get.

He was feeling just as energetic as always. He was going to get up, din't want to wake the raven who was still in a peaceful rest.

Fethry just sat there, drowsiness began do dawn on him.

"Hey Feth you awake" Della busted through the door. "Help mem and gladdy carry those weapons will ya". Fethry turned his head the spear, triton, and two shields where still laying there, on the ground.

"Do i have toooooo" Gladatone moaned behind della. Donald, who was carrying a sword just walked past, and shot the goose a glare.

"So did you win" Fethry asked. "Nope that witch din't even show up..heh coward" Della said proudly while sniffling, and posing.

"Aren't you worried she might show up?" Fethry asked. "It's okay we got duckworth, beakly, and lena on lookout duty. "Lena?" Gladstone said lightly shoving della out of the way, leaning on Fethry "what is she gonna do?". "Apparently she can sense magica's magic because she was birthed of her magic, or something like that" Della responded. "Do you mean like they share the magic, or it's split between the two... or" Fethry was cut off "i don't know, go ask her yourself" Della said.

The raven woke up during all the comotion. It flew on to the top of Fethry's head. It nuzzled itself in his beanie.

Donald, Della, Gladstone, and Fethry went to scrooge's garage. Webby alrady took her own weapons back into her bedroom.

The cousins where just talking about life. Donald tripped, and cut a hole in his sailor hat, and Gladstone found $20.

Donald left the group, becuase he was pretty upset by the cut of his sailor hat.

The raven was still purched above Fethry's hat.

The three cousins finally arrived at the garage where they proceeded to dump the weapons.

The raven started to wonder a bit, and Fethry kept an eye on it to make sure it wouldn't get lost, or even worse hurt.

Thinking about the crow, Fethry realized he never gave it a name. So he pondered there for a bit. "What should i name it?"

"Gladstone 2" Gladstone answered as he looked at himself in a mirror. He bakced away once the mirror reflected a lady, in a white dress, drowched in blood. "How about Nitro. Cool name right?" Della swang a sword she polished with her sleeve.

"Hmmm i think i'll name it Caim" Seems like a pretty fitting name, if you ask me Gladstone said. "Although i would have preferred Gladstone 2, just saying." "No way. Nitro is a cooler name!" Della exclaimed.

Fethry giggled. "hey Caim, buddy over here" The raven although a bit confused by the name decided to follow them, knowing they were about to exit.

The three of them closed the door.

"Wow the coolest of things were down there, huh" Della said as she gave galdstone the shoulder. "Yeah. Cool" Gladstone sighed.

"So las. What are yoh planning on doing with the other amulate." "I don't know....do you mind keeping it where that vault where yoh have all those weird... and erm dangerous creatures and items are." "Are you sure? those amulets. I know these mean a great deal to you, and i want to make sure that you're sure. You have the most rights to decide where this amulet goes, and what' done about it." "I'm sure. I'm done with my family's magic for a while." Lena, and Scrooge have been having a conversation.

Fethry, and Della got close to them. Gladstone followed a twenty dollar bill, that was down the hall. It had come from an aopen window.

"Where is donald, has that lad finish bringing his armory back." "Nope, but he will soon." "His hat got damaged so he went to get a new one" Della told scrooge. "I see, scrooge said" we were talking about what we should do with the second amulet, i thought lena here should choose what happens to it."

The amulet caught the raven's attention.

They started to walk down the hall, to the "forbidden vault" scrooge always told Fethry, and his cousins not to enter.

Lena was holding the second amulet in her hand. It had started to glow a dark purple color. Webby, and Violet walked in.

"What's it doing, it's kinda pretty, but dangerous, but so glowey?" Webby said in awe. "It seems to be reacting to something, nowing that it din't react before while we were gathered, what ever is spurring that reation is near.

They all paused. "Wait, that raven... uncle Poe?"

Then out of the blue the raven that was perched upon Fethry's hat suddenly swooped down, and snatched the amulet with it's claws.

"Hey" lena yelled. She pointed at tye raven who had now lost itself withing the mansion's doors, and corridors.

They decided to split up to cover more ground.

Webby, Violet, and Fethry ran in the same direction

They spotted the raven, who had the amulet. Fethry pointed out how "Caim" couldn't fly, nor carry that thing far due to it's injured leg.

That's all Webby needed to hear. She took out her grappling hook, and aimed at at a nearby lamp. She swang, and was aiming for the crow.

"Wait!" Fethry yelled. This distracted webby, and she missed her target. What she din't miss was the hard wooden floor.

Fethry, and Violet cringed as webby hit the floow with a loud thud.

The raven continued to fly.

"There was no need to to hurt Caim, right?" Fethry stated with a sheepish look.

Violet calmly checked to see if webby had any serious injuries.k

Although it seemed to be nothing serious, Webby could not walk properly. Her leg seemed to hurt whenever she stepped. She couldn't walk without limping let alone run.

Violet offered to be her support, and shot Fethry an annoyed glare.

"So what are you waiting for. Go catch that raven of yours. It's getting away you buffoon."

"Sorry?" Fethry pulled on his collar with his ring finger, and laughed akwardly.

Violet just shook herr head.

"Right" Fethry said before running after the raven

"Hey Caim, Caim" Fethry stumbled around the corridors "where are you"

he ran into donald. "Hey donald did you see Caim around here" "erm.. who" "my raven".

Fethry continued to go down the hall. Donald looked at him scratching his chin.

"Hey Feathers watch out" Fethry, and Della crashed. Lena Soon arrived from behind.

"You two alright?" Lena said. "Did you find my un- the raven." "Nope" Fethry said in response as he rubbed his head.

"Ooow" Feathry moaned. Della quickly got up, and offered Fethry a hand. Fethry accepted it.

"He flew somewhere around here.

"I guess we should start checking rooms" Della said. "Sounds cool" Lena agreed.

Fethry ran back. He checked a bedroom, but nothing was there except for a plushie of a bunny with blue trousers.

Fethry went back to check the garage. He looked around, and din't see much, but there was so much in this room, that he got distracted.

Fethry looked around. Saw a sword stuck in a big stone. The stone had a plate that reads Excalibur. He touched it, and pulled it up with ease. He quickly put it back not wanting to damage the shiny sword.

Fethry even found a picture of him, and his cousins when they were young. They decided to prank scrooge that day. They put whip cream on his had. He was supposed to wake up once they blowed the horn, and he would smither his face with whip cream. He ended up slapping Donald. Gladstone being Gladstone took a picture, and printed it.

He continued to roam around the garage looking for tue raven. After observing portrait of Donald, Della, and scrooge fighting an army of pirates he sighed, and was about to back out.

He started walking, but bumped into someone. He turned around, and saw Donald.

"Oh hey don, watchu doiiing?" Fethry said while eyeing him up, and down.

Donald just seemed to stand still, and tilted his head as he observed Fethry.

"Hey, don why do you have that gauntlet in your hand?"

It was a gauntlet. A shiny yellow gauntlet that seemed to ge emitting a green aora.

"Hey don, hey don, hey don?" Fethry said, but go no answer, but a stare.

Fethry felt a bit creeped out.

"Mmmmmphhhh" Fethry heard muffled yells from behind him.

He looked back, and saw a white cloth covering to moving figures.

He quickly uncovered it.

He was shook.

He saw Donald, and Gladstone tied together from arms, hands, and ankles. Their beaks were allso shut down by ropes, and some random cloths.

"Mmmmph" They both let out a muffled whimper, looking at Fethry.

"Hold up. Donald, if you're here than who's that?"

He turned around to see the other Donald pointing his gauntlet at him.

The last thing he saw was a green light beam speeding towards him. It hit him with a splash, and the world went black.

J-POP Manga, nuovi annunci a sorpresa da Londra

Fra i vari titoli, svelati anche una nuova edizione e altri dettagli sulle Collection dedicate a Osamu Tezuka e Moto Hagio!

The London Tour annunciato sui social da J-Pop Manga lo scorso mercoledì si è rivelata a sorpresa un’occasione di annunci per la casa editrice milanese: durante la visita della redazione alla mostra The Citi exhibition Manga presso il British Museum, Jacopo Costa Buranelli, direttore letterario, e Georgia Cocchi Pontalti, marketing manager, hanno svelato - tramite i social dell'editore - nuovi annunci e dettagli ulteriori sulle proprie collane.

La Osamushi Collection si arricchirà nei prossimi mesi de “Osamu Tezuka: Una Vita a Fumetti”, l’attesissima riedizione de “La Fenice”, e gli inediti “Big X”, “Ambassador Magma”, “Prime Rose” e “Clockwork Apple”, tra gli altri titoli.

La Fenice di Osamu Tezuka

Iniziata nel 1956 e continuata a più riprese fino al 1988, poco prima della sua morte, la saga della Fenice è una vera e propria summa dell’ideale di manga (e di storia) di Osamu Tezuka. Uno sforzo monumentale, che spazia dal lontano passato agli ultimi anni della civiltà umana seguendo le tracce del leggendario uccello in grado di reincarnarsi e garantire l’immortalità.
