Meanwhile, at the Nagomi house...
Kokone gets a bit carried away.
Luckily, one of the laws of the universe is "There might not be something for everyone, but there's someone for everything."

She's a puppy. Can't she just. Act like a puppy.
Ah yes, the "accidentally overheard the wrong part of the conversation" trope.
A fortunate interruption to an awkward conversation.
Seriously, what is that fruit one supposed to be?

She just always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, huh?

One of these things is not like the others.
Not that it matters to her.

Meanwhile, our food blogger is also enjoying the taste of fresh spring vegetables.
Girl's got a way with words.
And a metaphorist after my own heart.

Never shop for food while hungry.
This is me when I was first asked to chop pecans.
Strangely satisfying things video compilation, here we come.

And now that we've had fun exploring Kokone's passion...
We can do the same for Yui's.
WARNING: Pam-Pam is a magical dog. Only magical dogs can eat gummies. Your dog is not magical.
And since foxes are canines, it presumably works the same for them.
Time to go to lunch and meet our victim of the week.
Or they can just go to the Nagomi's place. Living at a restaurant is convenient that way.
I feel your pain, Kokone. I feel your pain.

Listening to somebody passionate about it can have that effect. I've tried a lot of new things just because I've heard people gush about them. Chess, Go, MTG... You shouldn't be afraid to talk about the things you love.

And now that she's in her element, the conversation floodgates spring right open.

Go for it, Kokone! You'll never succeed if you never try!
And straight to no honorifics! What a go-getter!
And it turns out Yui feels exactly the same way as her.

I've never actually been in one of these boutiques - when it comes to fashion, I prefer the simple approach - but similar to omrice, anime makes me want to see these places just to SEE them.

Rosemary inadvertently presses Kokone's "instant anime sparkle mode" button.
While she's still struggling to do the same. Baby steps, girl.

Meanwhile at the Bundoru Gang's base, Godatz is informed of the only thing worse than a Precure...
TWO Precure.
There is a long list of Precure villains cringing at this line.
The episode's target is decided.

Fortunately for Kokone, Yui's outgoing enough for the both of them.
"And who knows, we might even be able to fit in some convenient product placement!"
How the heck did it take Precure eighteen seasons to think to open its own brand line?

When in doubt...
Take a look, it's in a book! (And also the internet, though you have to sort through a lot of crap for that one.)
Reiterating that point from last post.
Trying out different ways of doing so...
Although it kind of cuts out the impact when the subtitles just drop the -chan entirely.

Kokone is given an opportunity.
This is not very hererosexual.
Thank you, Yui's grandma, for pointing out that little bit of Japanese culture. (For those who didn't know: 95% of the time people call each other by their last names or full names, with first names being reserved for one's close friends or family. Really close friends drop the honorifics entirely, though that's not the case here.)
Which certainly says a lot about Kokone's friendship history up until now.
