This letter reads:

Aug. 28 Alejandro,

Tonight, you gave me the assurance that no matter what, I could depend on you to love me. It never fails to amaze me that when I open up and am vulnerable with you, you receive me with such gentle tenderness and care. Because of you, I experience so much healing. Because of you, I feel my heart repair. You solidify my faith in love, as it is sure and true when it is shared with you.

Thank you for loving me despite my flaws. With you, I find shelter and comfort in ways I have never known. You have written your name across my heart. I never want it to be replaced. You are 'it' for me. And I am fully, completely, and hopelessly yours as long as you will have me.

We had both a tough and funny conversation tonight. I had been having a bit of a bad day and my headspace was pretty low. And in the wake of that conversation, Bren gave me so much comfort. He made a promise to me that he would always try his best to make me happy, to make sure I felt loved, and that when we struggle, we would go through it together.

He keeps meeting me. He keeps being so consistent. And I love him even more for it. I truly mean it when I say that he is healing me. I hope that he knows just how important he is to me.

I realize also that I am such a coward for keeping these letters from him. But I hope one day I will be able to give this all over to him so that he knows that this entire time, he has been the person that I love so much.

Also, I asked him if he could choose a different name, which one would he go by. He told me 'Don Alejandro Miguel Eduardo DeLasCasas.'

He's so silly.
