Seeing this feels like Christmas and my Birthday in one. I can't wait for this movie to do the book justice. I wanna see Dr Frankenstein as the hot and ambitious 20y/o bitch he is. And I hope they his monster handsome as well, because I remember reading the passage that described him in English class and thinking "Wow ok he sounds like one attractive mf" and then the narrator revealed it's the "monster" like??? But no, frfr I am going to be so annoying when this comes out :')

Recently I heard that Guillermo Del Toro is planning on making his own version of Frankenstein with Oscar Isaac as the lead! Those are 3 of my favorite things so naturally I have been OBSESSED. So obsessed in fact that I made my own designs for fun 😂

Victor Frankenstein has plagued my mind for the past few days, thanks to the pictures released on set I decided to reread the book after many many years of the first time I did back in middle school and man, it’s so terrible how poor Victor suffers a lot and lives under a shadow of constant sorrow and his own demons 😞

So it gave me the inspo to sketch this Victor.

I cannot wait for the adaptation Guillermo is gonna give of this story! I’m so excited cause he is one of my favourite directors and also the fact of having the representation of both of my countries there by Oscar and Guillermo feels totally unreal.

Ever since I saw some of the filming for the new Frankenstein film by Guillermo del Toro in Edinburgh a few weeks ago my love for the original book has been reawakened!! So, naturally, I just had to come up with my own design for the Creature based on how he is described in the novel. I cant wait for the film to come out!

So we all know that Guillermo del Toro cast Oscar Isaac to play Victor Frankenstein in his upcoming Frankenstein film, right?

Well, TIL that Del Toro is basing the monster’s design on Bernie Wrightson’s illustrated version of the Mary Wollstoncraft Shelley novel—

and Oscar bears a striking resemblance to Wrightson’s Frankenstein…

Could be why he cast Oscar in the role? And if so, does that also mean that Guillermo saw the Wrightson monster—

And went, “I have the perfect person in mind to play him. Andrew Garfield.”

I've shared my excitement over this new Frankenstein movie a while ago but boy did those Oscar set photos really send my brain into overdrive. I've been a Del Toro fan for a long while, they're fun movies. And this one I'm sure will be just the same. If I had to guess, I'm sure we'll see it next year but until then, I will draw this lad.
