I am You, You are Me
By Dejanae Gibson
I am You. You are Me. We are no different.
For many lifetimes, we were two halves of a whole, mirroring the same unseen hopes, dreams, desires, torments, and hurt. It was empathy and compassion that enjoined us. Our love was the warmth that glued us together for eternity.
To witness my duality — the multifaceted, complicated nature of my personhood — in you is a blessing. It was as if we found ourselves in each other’s eyes. I am You. You are Me.
My depth and (w)holiness blossomed in moments of resonance with you. We shared laughter, joy, anger, sadness, hopelessness, and love. We shared secrets, knowledge, food, prayer, song and dance. We swayed back and forth between the polarities of our existence, experiencing the dichotomy that is life. I felt tethered to you. Your presence echoed something within me.
You balance me like the Sun and the Moon. As we swim in pools of love, languishing in the space that orbits around us, we see all the possibilities of our being yet to be explored. You remind me that I can be whoever I choose in this spectrum of life.
Good and Evil. Masculine and Feminine. Beautiful and Vile. Luminous and Somber. Full and Empty. Loving and Hateful. Still and Moving. Superior and Inferior. Mind and Body.
Ego and Soul. Alpha and Omega. Ying and Yang.
I am You. You are Me. We are two halves of a whole, magnetized centuries ago. We are One.
You hold the spaces I can’t seem to occupy within myself, awakening something Divine in me. You scorch Earth that I have yet to conquer. I am the soothing balm in your time of angst. You see the power of my deliverance. I push you to look within.
We merge into each other, tangoing and wrestling with the weight of each other's presence. We are consumed. Blinded, like a moth to a flame. We are the catalysts of our undoing. My Anchor. Your Morning Star. My Wellspring. Your Vessel. My Light. Your Darkness. Our Salvation. Our Rebirth.
Above and below, we are a part of each other. Full and abundant in all God’s glory.
As our fire burns and we breathe in anew, I grasp a deeper truth. We are nothing without the virtues that ground us — the warmth and agape love that sustains us.
We are nothing without our personhood and our Oneness. Though you are me, and I am you — devoted to each other for lifetimes — we must stand in our singularity and not be led astray by the fervor in our pursuits for existence. We must not destroy each other or give until there is nothing left. We must remember that we are bright stars shining harmoniously. We must love ourselves as we love the World — together in our own unique and selfless way.
This is my commandment to you.
I am You. You are Me. Soul to Soul. Let’s be good to each other.

Random-Mailbox's Favorite Sailor Moon Fics - Week 27 - 🍀St Patricks Day🍀
Tumblr media
Time for our next Holiday Post of the series - St Patricks Day! This one is basically all about bars and drinking and celebrating, in a more lighthearted way.
As always, my apologies in advance for spoiling some of these for you (Fic Titles are linked to either FFN or AO3 entries).
the green unseen - @caelenath
This is @caelenath's Mamoru in College series ficlet, where Mamoru spends St Patrick’s day out with his American friends for the first time. We get the Ugly Green Jacket throwback and a very open-ended conclusion that lets you, the reader, decide for yourself what is actually real. Click on the hyperlinks within the story for tiny glimpses into this AU on Tumblr!
then you showed up and I can't get enough - @daikon1
Mamoru gets dragged to a club by Motoki to meet his new girlfriend’s friend, something he does NOT want to do. While waiting at the bar, he notices a pretty blonde in a rainbow romper that he would much rather spend time with. This one-shot is a bit of a love-at-first-sight story but super well done (as all of Daikon’s pieces tend to be 😘)
Crossroads - Dejana Talis (Dejana)
Bartender Darien is seeing one set back after another in his quest to leave his tiny town in the middle of nowhere. On one of his worst days yet, he picks up a hopeful hitchhiker, trying to get to the big city and make things happen for herself.
You and I Always: Chapter 1: Free Day - @cassraven
In this one-shot, we get a cute and confident bartender Usagi and a very drunk Mamoru, who repeatedly confesses his love for her.
Drunken Sailor Moon - Reader458
Fun little story about Sailor Moon accidentally stumbling across Dark Generals and managing to drink them under the table. We get Rei x Usagi in this one too!
A night you won't remember (I'll be the one you won't forget) - @idesofnovember
When Mamoru ran into Usagi at the hotel bar in Vegas, he vowed to help protect her. Apparently that included not letting her drunkenly get married to anyone but him.
The One With the Vegas Vacation - @she-dreams-in-pink
If I am going to include one Vegas story, I can’t skip out on the other! In this one, Minako drags drunk Mamoru and Usagi to a wedding chapel because she thinks it would be hilarious if those two had a fake wedding. I am really hoping we get the last chapter of this story one day, although it does leave off on enough of a clean break to not really need it.
Luck of the Irish - @gossamerwillow
Minako (as Sailor V) and Artemis take on a Youma in a tiny Irish town while on a family vacation. (This totally fits with the St Patrick's Day theme, even if there is no drinking involved!)
---
That's it for this week. Next time we will cover the trope of "Fix-it Fics"

Exiles - A Felix Volturi x vampire!fem!reader - part 3
Felix Volturi Tag List:

Tumblr media
(Y/N)’s POV
We were hiding in the mountains, waiting for a signal, or a movement, or something to show us that the Volturi were near. We were waiting for Ilija, Elda, or Nabil to tell us something, so we wouldn’t have to keep waiting and wasting precious time, instead of just fighting. The waiting and anxiousness were eating me so much that I would rather run out there, searching for the Volturi, instead of staying here and waiting when and if they would pass by.
I had never experienced such anxiety and nerves before as if I wasn’t in control of my own body. Doing nothing valuable was torture. I was always used to occupying my mind and my hands in any type of activity or action, so I was not used to that inaction.
Dejana shook me out of my thoughts. “(Y/N), I think it’s time”, she said pointing to the sky above us, where there was a little lighting - Azzurra’s warning of the Volturi being nearby one of our groups.
Without a second thought, I ran forward, still hiding but moving closer and closer to where the Volturi were supposed to be. Alex, Dejana, and Bakhtiyar were following close behind me, as Bakhtiyar was shielding us from everyone and everything around us. It didn’t take us long to locate the fourteen vampires who were now in front of us. It now clicked to me why Nettie decided to send eighteen of us. Even without using our gifts, we would outnumber them, as long as we managed to avoid their powers.
I quickly recognized Alec, Jane, and Chelsea through the descriptions I always heard about them. I didn't know who the others were, though I could tell that there were at least four other vampires in more authoritative positions, from the way they acted around the remaining seven ones.
The four vampires in question were a blonde white man; a black man with long, luscious dreadlocks; a brunette with slightly tanned skin, and a tall brunette with pale white skin. Said tall brunette was so tall that it was as if he was hovering above everyone else. It wasn’t that the others around him were short - with the exception of Jane, but he was at least two or three heads taller than their tallest vampire.
I found myself lost in his presence, as I felt like I had goosebumps all over my body and I was numb at the same time. What was happening to me? I could only stand there, looking at the tall vampire, without knowing or realizing what was happening in front of me.
I hadn’t realized Cyriaque had given the signal to surrender the Volturi, so I stayed behind until I finally woke from my small daydream and walked forward, coming face to face with the enemy. The Volturi looked a bit taken aback but also as if they were expecting us - Aro had probably warned them of our existence, but they didn’t expect to be outnumbered.
Jane stepped forward. “We were expecting you. You can surrender now, or you can expect the consequences. Either way, you don’t have much of a choice in the matter. So, what is it going to be?” She was calm and assured of herself.
Cyriaque and Rino turned around to look at me. I looked back at them, then at the tall vampire in front of me who was now looking at me with curiosity and calmness. I took a few steps forward, walking in front of everyone else, and Bakhtiyar came by my side so he could shield every single one of us.
“Hello to you, too, Jane. We have heard that you came to the area and terrorized the local clans. We suggest you leave this instance. If you do, nothing will happen to you. However, if you choose to stay, be aware that we will extinct you. Your call.”, I replied back with the same kind of calmness and reassurance.
Despite their own powers, we could easily win, if we all worked together. But they didn’t know that, so their surplus of confidence and reassurance was somewhat justified.
The blonde girl smirked and her eyes were glistening with anger, as she whispered the word that would usually cause fear to everyone around her, “Pain”.
But, as we expected but they didn’t, nothing happened. All thanks to Bakhtiyar, whose mental and physical shield protected us all. Not Jane’s mental pain, nor Alec’s physical, paralyzing smoke could go through us. Whatever they attempted to do would just simply not work on us. We kept looking at them apathetically, while the girl was clearly becoming upset and confused.
“We can do this the easy way or our way. Your choice.”, I continued, but I was now looking at the tall vampire.
As if on cue, he took a few steps forward, walking past Jane and towards me. He stopped half a meter in front of me, still looking at me with curiosity. The tall man was beautiful. His chocolate brown hair was slid back, and he looked aristocratic with his black suit and his black cape with the red, velvet inner lining. I didn’t know why I was feeling taken aback but also so mesmerized by his otherwise stoic presence.
“Felix!”, the blonde man shouted. His name was Felix. Did that mean that the blonde one is Demetri?
Before he had a chance to do anything, Alex was quickly by my side, and the tall vampire was suddenly frozen in his place, unable to move his body as only his eyes were able to move around, still looking between my coven mates and me.
I turned to look at Alex. “Stop it. Unfreeze him. Now.” My voice was strict and imperative, and though Alex still didn’t move, I was not kidding. “Alex. Unfreeze him. Now.”
Alex looked a bit lost, before turning to Felix and unfreezing him. Felix unfroze with a groan and moved forward to attack. He quickly grabbed Alex by the neck, and I could hear a faint breaking sound before I realized the severity, and grabbed Felix off of Alex, throwing him away.
“Nobody, and I mean nobody, messes up with my coven and coven mates, and gets away with it.” I turned to look at Felix who was looking perplexed as if he wasn’t expecting me to act like that. “No matter what.”
Jane looked at me furiously, with fire and anger in her eyes. “It’s a war, then.” She announced before running forward and throwing me to the ground.
I felt her hands grabbing me by my neck, and I smiled, waiting for her to finish me off as if she ever would. Before she could, she was violently removed from me, which I knew would happen. I quickly stood back on my feet, as Florus had practically locked his arm around Jane’s body, as she screamed in pain, experiencing her own medicine firsthand. Zuzanka was right beside them, staring fiercely at Jane, but I could never imagine what kind of fear could the little blonde girl have.
Looking around, I saw at least one of our own fighting off one of each Volturi guard. Rino and Elda had grabbed Demetri; Alex was on Alec; Radmir on Chelsea; Bakhtiyar was in between Alec and Chelsea, and Dima on Felix. Everyone else was scattered around, fighting the other guards.
I ran to Nabil’s side who was fighting off the tanned brunette. I was about to tear his head off when Nabil stopped me. “(Y/N), don’t. He’s Chelsea’s mate. Don’t kill him. Yet. We can use him.”
I nodded and turned to the Volturi guard. “You will stay at a corner and you won’t move until we say so.” The guard looked drowsy and walked off slowly to stand before the bushes we came out of.
“We will need that one, too.”, Nabil pointed at the black man with the dreadlocks, and I ran towards him and Paris, putting my hand on Paris’s shoulder to stop him, before turning to look at the Volturi guard, doing the same thing as I did to Chelsea’s mate.
I turned back to Nabil. “Anyone else?”
“No, we just need those seven.”
I nodded, as I ran around, tearing the rest of the Volturi guards’ heads off, one by one. It was easier when my coven mates were already preoccupying them. It was also easier for me as an older vampire, as I knew by now how to tear others’ heads off quickly and effectively. Paris quickly set them all on fire, and I walked back to the others.
“Right. Now that we are all gathered here, what are we going to do with you?” I looked around at my coven mates, now divided between the Volturi guards.
Jane let out a scream. “Flo, Zuz, let her go for now. I’m tired of her screaming.” Florus opened his arms, and Jane fell down ungracefully. “Alex, Radmir, Dima, you too. Bakhtiyar, stay put.”
I turned to look at the Volturi guards I had put aside. “You two come here.” The two guards, still emotionless and drowsy, walked into the unofficial circle we created around the Volturi.
“What are we going to do with them? We can’t just let them go like that.”, Vera exclaimed. She was right, of course. The Volturi had too much arrogance for their own good, not knowing who they were to face. They had to face the consequences.
“Well, if we were to exterminate or even keep them in our place, Aro would not just let it go. He would come after us.”, Cyriaque stated the obvious.
“Still, if these are his best guards, we could easily take over the rest of the Volturi guard.” Radmir was right. I was also thinking about that: if Aro already sent his best and most important guards here, and we managed to take them down pretty easily, it wouldn’t be an issue taking over the whole coven.
Yet, I didn’t feel like that would be a good solution. I didn’t want to exterminate the Volturi, and that wasn’t because of the attraction I felt toward Felix. It would make more sense for the Volturi to keep fearing us; to live under constant scrutiny; to think of us as their tormentor, if they ever pulled something like that again. They had never been challenged like that before, and it was time for us to set boundaries and limits to their insatiable appetite for power and revenge.
“Or…”, everyone turned to look at me, “we can negotiate with them.” I now looked at all of them, smirking and knowing what I had to do, even if I was affected by the mate bond somehow. Still, I refused to show any sign of weakness or favoritism towards Felix.
“We won’t negotiate with the Volturi, (Y/N)!” Cyrus shouted, unable to think of anything other than the obvious which would be to kill them off.
“Hmmm. Dima?” I looked at the guy across from me, signaling to my ear with one finger. He quickly got the message, when the Volturi guards showed panic on their faces, unable to hear what was going on around them. But they were still moving back and forth, upset. “Alex?” The guards finally froze and we could have some peace.
“Now, again. We will negotiate with the Volturi, with Aro mostly. He seems to be the one in charge, so we’ll take the issue to him.”
“(Y/N), Nettie would be pissed off if she ever heard you saying you’d be willing to negotiate with the enemy!” Elda barked her words.
“Nettie trusts me!”, I barked back. “And you know I’d never negotiate with those scumbags if I didn’t have the upper hand! We have their guards! Aro still wants power and everything, but without them, he’s nothing! He can’t do anything with his own gift alone! But, what we can do is make a deal with him: his guards for everything he has!”
“(Y/N), I think you’re going mad. There’s no way he would give us “everything he has”, or whatever it is you’re implying.” Silas was making more sense than I did a few seconds ago.
“I know, but you know what I mean. No one knew who we really were, with the exception of Greek and Balkan covens around the territory. But we can now take control of everything! Be feared and respected among the vampire world! The Volturi were ruling everyone for far too long, and it’s time for us now to take over!”
“So, what’s your plan?”, Rino asked, now more engaged in the conversation.
“That’s where Cyrus will take over.” I turned to my left to look at the said vampire. “I need you to take away their powers until Aro decides to fulfill his side of the deal.”
“Which is?” Vera asked mockingly.
“The Volturi will officially step down from their “royal duties”. They will no longer be the authority around the vampire world, we will be. And if they try to “appeal” our decision, we will simply debilitate them before we finally exterminate them.”
“Well, sounds fun, (Y/N). Are you willing to exterminate your mate, though?”
I abruptly turned to look at Nabil. “What?”
“You know, the big guy. Your mate.”
Of course, Nabil could have read my mind, and now knew that I felt the connection between the Volturi guard and myself, though I wasn’t aware that was how the mate bond works. But, again, I wouldn’t let that get in the way of my plans for our coven’s rise to power.
“I hope it doesn’t, (Y/N). It would be such a waste if we lost you to the Volturi.” Nabil’s tone was a mix between sincere and pitiful, but I didn’t know which prevailed more, and I wasn’t going to attack my coven mate over such a bitter comment.
With that, Nabil walked away, followed by Elda, Azzurra, Cyrus, Ilija, Paris, and Silas, who had grabbed Demetri, Alec, and Jane who were still paralyzed, before looking at me with sadness and pity for the last time and running away.
I had never been disrespected like this; I had never acted against the coven in any way to be treated like this. While I could have manipulated every single one of them - with the exception of Bakhtiyar, I never did because I never wanted them to feel like they did anything because I forced them to. And now, they questioned my integrity.
I turned to look at the others. “Do you really think I would put myself above the coven? That I’d put my supposed mate above you all?”, I asked, addressing everyone left.
Instead of replying, they avoided my question by looking at the ground or at each other. It now felt like they never really trusted me and thought I would betray them the second I found something or someone else to give meaning to my life.
“Fine.” I spat at them, bitter.
I looked at the Volturi left: Felix and his coven mates, still paralyzed, still unable to hear anything we said. I looked at my coven mates, then Felix. I turned around and left on my own. If my own coven mates did not trust me, I would take the burden away from them by leaving them first. I only hoped everything would somehow work out.

On September 11th, thousands of people brandishing religious symbols and Russian flags answered a call from the Orthodox Church and took to the streets of Belgrade to protest against EuroPride 2022 being held in the Serbian capital.
EuroPride 2022 was launched the next day: a week of conferences and cultural events, due to end with a pride march through the streets of Belgrade. Citing security reasons, the government's 11th-hour decision to ban the march was met with fury by the participants.
EuroPride is the annual European meeting of the LGBTIQA+ community, and this was its first time in the Balkans and South-East Europe. At the first EuroPride conference, the Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabić, who is openly lesbian, tried to quell the anger.
"I’m doing my best, I increase the visibility. I have given myself no other right than all of you have. And that is not a lot of rights, I admit.”
This message did not go down well. EuroPride organizers, slammed the ban, as a breach to freedom of assembly.
«If anybody else can march, and the police is always providing sufficient protection,_and we are the only social group that cannot march, then it’s discrimination", stormed EuroPride 2022 coordinator Goran Miletić.
“_Who is threatening us? And why aren’t they banned? Why are we banned? It’s a peaceful protest! It’s a further degradation of rule of law, a further degradation of our human rights, a further degradation of our constitutional rights._It’s exactly why we need to be on the street on the 17th on Saturday. We must stop this!" said Marko Mihailović, director of the event.
All EuroPride venues were under heavy police protection. In defiance of the ban, volunteers mobilized for the event prepared banners for the Pride. Nothing would prevent them from marching. Many foreign LGBTI activists were there to show their support.
“Human rights in general are never granted. And we’ve seen this also in other fields, like reproduction rights or refugees and immigration rights. We have seen a lot of things going back and forth. It does seem like a constant struggle" sighs Annie Papazoglou, from Greece, before adding, in a smile:"But this is our lives, we must live them to the fullest. That's why we are here, and we are queer, and proud!".
A recent poll states that a majority of Serbs would agree to less restrictive legislation toward members of the LGBTIQA+ community, but also that the stigma is still very strong.
Maja Žilić is from the Youth Initiative For Human Rights Serbia.
“We have a very high rate of suicide among LGBT teenagers. Especially when they come from local communities outside of Belgrade. People are still very homophobic.  They can't express themselves the way they want to. So they come to Belgrade to work, to study. That's why I came here too."
Maja and her team had organized a public awareness session in the city centre.
“_We are here to say that democracy means everyone has the right to protest.__For some people here there is a ban on their right to protest_”, explains Dejana Dexy Stošić to a woman passing by the group of activists.
“If these people are ill, I really cannot support them, and I just feel sorry for them!", exclaims the woman, before scurrying away.
“She said that gay people have mental diseases!" sighs Dejana, taken aback. "We do have pretty strong reactions, but  we also have pretty good ones. A lot of people actually didn't know about certain things. They ask things like: "They really can’t visit their partner in hospital?” and we answer, “No! That's one of the requests of the Pride march. For homosexual couples have the right to visit their partner in hospital, or to have the right to actually inherit from their partner, things like that. J_ust basic human rights!_"
LGBTIQA+ activists are campaigning for the legal recognition of same-sex couples. A draft law, deemed unconstitutional by the Serbian President, has long been delayed. Aleksandra Gavrilović is from the Lesbian Human Rights Organization LABRIS. She is fighting for a reform of the Serbian family law. Aleksandra founded a family with her partner. Five years ago, she gave birth to triplets through artificial insemination.
“The first problems started when the children were born, since they were born prematurely, they were in an intensive care unit for premature babies. And my partner could not come to visit them because only parents are allowed to do so. And according to the law in Serbia, parents are a father and a mother. It is a constant fear that you are living with, because the law does not protect us, a constant fear of what will happen if something happens to me. Will my partner, since she has no legal status, be able to have custody of the children?" she explains, before concluding:"We need one comprehensive law, that will include everything -inheritance, health insurance, and all the elements that protect us and are related to our life."
European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli, several ministers, and many European MPs and ambassadors attended Belgrade’s EuroPride. They called for the Serbian government to reconsider the ban on the march, deemed by the European Council as a violation of the European convention on Human Rights.
Terry Reintke is a Member Of European Parliament (Greens/EFA), and LGBTIQA+ Intergroup Co-President.
“Europride is happening in a context where democracy, rule of law, liberal societies, freedom in our societies are under attack. Not only by authoritarian movements inside of Europe, but also, for example, when we look at the Russian aggression towards Ukraine.
And this makes it even more important that now we say : we have to defend these values, we have to defend these rights. And this is why EuroPride will be a symbol of that. “
Boško Obradović is leader of the Dveri Party and close to the Orthodox church and one of the main figures of the anti-Pride protests. While he tolerates legislative amendments on issues like inheritance or visitation rights in hospitals and prisons for homosexual couples, going any further, for him, is out of the question.
“For decades, we have been suffering constant pressure from the EU and NATO. For us to adjust and adapt our value system and our politics to their view of the world. EuroPride is only one part of that agenda that is imposed on us.
That package also includes the obligation to recognize independent Kosovo, impose sanctions on Russia, and also to hold EuroPride in Belgrade. We perceive Europride as part of the occupation agenda that comes to us from the West."
A few hours after meeting the parliamentarian, we hear a very different viewpoint from Aleksandar Savić, alias "Alexis Vandercunt Plastic", hosting Belgrade's monthly Drag party in a reconverted warehouse in the city outskirts.
A drag queen at night, Aleksandar is an activist during the day, with Da Se Zna, an association supporting victims of homophobic violence.
EuroPride, he says, acted as a trigger.
“We had a huge increase of violence in the past month. Four times more than in a year, since the same month of august in 2021." he tells us. "The good thing with EuroPride is that it basically provoked this hate to come out. Because in the past few years everyone was pretending that it doesn't exist, and that everything is going so well. And now it's all out so we can deal with it. And I think that reality check is going to be, I believe, very important for the queer community_to realise that if we don't fight for ourselves, no one is going to fight for us.”
Another 11th-hour decision from the government finally authorised a much shorter version of the march to take place, under the protection of more than 5,000 police. For its participants, the Belgrade event, even restricted, is a landmark moment in history for EuroPride, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
The battle is not over, concludes Goran Miletić, the Belgrade EuroPride2022 Coordinator.
“We marched, we showed that we are citizens, that we are here together, that there is solidarity. The fight will continue, this is just one episode. And I think no-one else will ban Pride ever in the future.”

I'm fine-tuning canon Rook, bab Dejana Amell Howe you'll see
So look forward to that soon!
In the meantime - for the worldstate, should I jot Pina down for Iron Bull or Solas?
Mind you in my canon the latter is pretty much mostly unrequited rivalmance - hates that he loves her, hand in unlovable hand, etc.
