[immense crying] now that i got him though i have no idea what to do wt him oopsies,,,, you have any tips about artifacts and stuff? (god knows im hopeless with all the stat discourse) TY IN ADVANCE

Oh lord, artifact chat? If it was any other character (that I use) I’d be SO down but, Zhongli’s kit is literally all over the place *shakes fist at Mihoyo* that I still haven’t mulled over how I want to build him. Thinking abt it makes me mad, but I guess here’s how I personally built ZL lol. (P.S. This got kinda long jsyk.)

First thing I did was get him a two-piece Noblesse set and a two-piece Archaic Petra set. Noblesse 2pc gives an additional 20% damage to your Elemental Burst (which is all Zhongli is good for at the moment 1/2 jk) while Archaic 2pc grants an additional 15% Geo Damage Bonus. I farmed with Zhongli support in mind, so don’t be surprised if his normal attack doesn’t do much damage like your main DPS character would. 

Next priority should be a Geo Damage Bonus Goblet. Zhongli’s Elemental Burst deals Geo damage so you’d want to maximize the damage output for that as much as you can. A 5* one gives about 46.6% damage bonus so if you couple that with Archaic’s 2pc passive, and his ascension stat, he’ll be popping painful meteors left and right <3

As for stats and substats, this is where everything starts to scatter lmao. I prioritized Crit DMG and ATK% for Zhongli, because after several test runs with some friends, we realized that even if his Burst scales with his max HP, Zhongli still deals more damage with an invested Crit + Atk build instead of an HP build. That’s what makes him so confusing to build around because, what do I focus on? ATK or HP ??? 

Anyway to be specific, I gave him: an ATK% Sands of Eon, Crit DMG Circlet of Logos, and a Geo Damage Bonus Goblet of Eonothem. The substats I prioritized were mostly atk%, crit rate, crit dmg, and energy recharge (for unlimited burst ^__^)

He only has about 1,490 overall ATK stat with this build (at Lv. 80 with maxed out artifacts). ZL has a ridiculously low Base ATK stat (600 something ugh) which makes dealing damage even harder as is sigh. 

Your weapons also do a part in maximizing this guy’s potential! Rn, I only have Prototype Grudge on him (It has an energy recharge substat) because his signature weapon is evil and didn’t come home to me. You can have it crafted, so it’s pretty easy to obtain, but if you have better weapons like the Jade spear or Vortex Vanquisher, then it’s better for you to use those instead!

Okay, just a reminder that I’m not at all saying that this is the proper way to build Zhongli ahgshgsdf it’s just how I personally built him and what the RNG decided to bless me with. Everyone knows Mihoyo could do better w this guy. But I do hope this was somehow helpful T__T Feel free to message me about it if you have any questions :0

Edit: forgot to add that I also took in some HP% substats bcs his Elemental Skill (the jade shield) scales off his max HP! Back then, I used to run the fuck away from Oceanid bombs but now I just stand in front of them without taking an ounce of damage :,)

Hi! A lot of practice! I pay a lot of attention to what I'm saying so I don't repeat myself and if I feel that a word is too close to another, I'll actually look for an alternative. I really try to avoid repetition in my stories. It happens, I'm not perfect, but I suffered a lot from that when I was younger. After spending years turning to dictionaries and thesaurus' I can finally say with confidence that I have a pretty decent arsenal of words stashed away in my brain. It just takes a little patience and willingness to learn. Thank you! You know, I have such amazing followers that I don't even consider this blog underrated but my girlfriend seems to feel the same way. I'm happy with my blog but if anyone feels so inclined, spread the love! I'm always interested in broadening my follower base!

Right? It was such a fluke that I wrote them to begin with and then I had this Nashsessed follower come to me for an addition (not continuation) to the previous work that I had done because I infected her with the pairing. (Moreso than she already was because this bae is in deep.) She's precious and I'm really glad that I was able to do this for her. Also, it seems well-received so that's always good!
