trying to work on stuff set a little sooner after creep — this being the fic set in 2012 in which everything goes real, real bad for peter... so... like 5 years later instead of 8 😂 but it's relevant, plot-wise, so it's not like a random jump ahead. creep is the set-up, 2012 fic is the payoff, so to speak.
