Lyrics for Decius and his Sweetheart #1

This is a new series where I take lyrics from songs and give (small) explanations for how Decius and/or Trebonius relate to the lyrics. Starting with Francis Forever by Mitski after Trebonius has died. The lyrics will be in Italics and Decius will explain what they mean under them in bold/brackets.

Decius x Trebonius

Now if I have any further updates or ramblings about this ship that are not from the perspective of Decius, they will be put here instead of that other ships post because it was getting too long for my liking.

First of all, I am making a playlist for this couple and so far, I only have six songs, so if anyone has any song recommendations for it please let me know in the comments or my messages. Here are some things to help inspire y'all (and myself).

The vibes: - The six songs I currently have are: I Want You by Mitski, Sailor Song by Gigi Perez, ur so pretty by Wasia Project, Dear Arkansas Daughter by Lady Lamb, I Bet On Losing Dogs by Mitski and Francis Forever by Mitski. - Dynamics I kind of connect to this ship is: bad boy x good girl, the morally grey character who has a soft spot for the innocent character, grumpy/sunshine. - Sad songs are welcome since at the end of the play Julius Caesar Trebonius (and all of the other conspirators) pass away except for Decius Brutus and I imagine he would feel lost without his sweetheart (this is where Francis Forever comes in).

If you have absolutely any recs even if you have no idea what I am talking about, they will be appreciated.

I imagine that Decius would call Trebonius "sweetheart" as a nickname. He'd probably use other nicknames but "sweetheart" is his favourite and at first Trebonius would blush every time, but as it became more frequent and they became closer and closer she would grow used to it and just smile whenever she heard Decius call her that.
