Summery: in which Harry dedicates Fine Line to his and your daughter, then brings her on stage to close the show

Everyone knew that Harry loved being cryptic. Nothing was ever straight with him, and cheekily he claimed that it was because he wasn't straight himself. When you fell pregnant with your daughter, he had suggested you hid it from the media up until her birth, and afterwards the pair of you had broken the internet from your own little pocket of the world back in London.
Goldie, affectionately nicknamed by your husband because of her soft yellow locks, had stolen the media's hearts soon after her birth. It was hard to go a week without ranting and raving about her newborn milestones, though Harry was particularly quiet about his life with the two of you up in England. That all changed after her six month birthday and she had spluttered out a broken apart, Dada.
His social media posting was scattered, a healthy amount of baby Goldie on his feed, though his camera roll was transferred to physical hard drives every few months. When he started writing again, just after Harry Styles was debuted, it was no shock that he had created a studio on the floor of your daughters nursery. Her Montessori toys had been shoved aside, replaced with sound boards and acoustic guitars.
Between late nights at the studio and early mornings in the nursey, Harry hadn't parted ways with his new album, lovingly deemed Fine Line. He had shared with you a few songs, though everything was tightly under wraps. Besides Jeff and Mitch, and a few other song writers, Goldie was the only one to hear every song in full. He got up with her every morning, letting you sleep in well after nine, and serenading her with acoustic versions of her favorite pieces.
Goldie was seventeen months old when Fine Line dropped and debuted number one. Fourteen and a half months dedicated to his sophomore album, he couldn't help but feel emotional when it was released to public criticism. You and Goldie were carried over into the album, his love and affection for his girls cryptically displayed for all to hear and dissect.
Your little love, sweet little Goldie, legally named Indie Anne Styles,  was the star of the first track, and upon hearing it on a flight back home from Miami, your eyes watered and you had to take a few minutes to collect yourself. Canyon Moon had to be your favorite though. It was one of the few concepts he had shared with you after a night of magical love.
When tour started, Goldie was nineteen months and getting a grip on babbling. She wasn't saying much besides the basics, and even then it was gibberish to yours and Harry's ears. She was like him in every way. She loved cuddles, and her once blue eyes had turned a shade as complex as his own. Her hair was still clinging to it's blonde color, relieving your husband to great extents. He couldn't imagine a morning without his little blondie snuggling deep into his chest.
Harry was always soft for your daughter, which played to her advantage as she discovered crocodile tears. Her little lip would tremble every time she didn't get her way, or was unable to express what was wrong, and without fault Harry would scoop her up and smother her with cuddles and kisses. That's what Harry did best, defuse the tantrum with kisses and cuddles.
-
Goldie was a mess in your arms. The bows at the base of her pigtails were displaced, her lips and rosy cheeks were a mess of your lip-gloss from the thousands of kisses she requested, and her little hands refused to leave the neckline of Harry's pink suit.
Fine Line had begun touring months ago, and as promised you and Goldie had joined Harry over in the states after you finished a few shoots for Vouge. Being alongside your husband in the industry made everything easier, you're schedule flexible and light when you needed it to be. You would do anything to be home beside Goldie in the transformative years of her life, and you knew Harry would do the same, which is why his tour bus bedroom was completed with a crib and every venue was stocked with diapers and faux leather changing pads.
"Daddy has to go now, Goldie." You reminded the toddler gently, pulling the purple bow from her hair and clipping it to the neckline of your black shirt. You couldn't afford to lose another bow, unsure of how many sets you could have left. You were sure the number was down to single digits, and neither you or Harry had to time to scramble to the shops for hair accessories — even though your husband adored shopping for your little love, often buying her the most ridiculously priced name brand clothes and shoes.
"Dada." She mumbled, sleepy eyes looking over her fathers features with admiration. She leaned closer, pressing an open moth kiss to his chest. You were still working on the whole kissing concept, but you couldn't deny that her attempts were heart melting.
It took some coaxing and few tears, but you managed to separate the daddy daughter duo. Goldie had been cross with you for a few minutes, little lips pursed and face tucked into your neck, but after hearing the opening of the show through her yellow headset, she lifted her eyes and cooed.
Making your way side stage, you grinned at Harry. The pink suit was your favorite. It complimented his milky skin and brought out the green in his eyes. Your camera roll was overwhelmed with pictures of him in the suit, but recently you had added a snapshot of him and Goldie cuddled up backstage. Your daughter, who you had affectionately nicknamed monkey, had wormed her way into her daddy's hold and buried her little hands in his suit curiously.
"Dada." She mumbled. Your attention had been set on something in the distance, so you didn't notice your husband coming closer with a familiar playboy smirk on his lips. You followed her extended arms to your husband, a small smile on your lips.
He leaned forward when he was close enough, his sweaty lips on yours collecting whatever taste was left of your strawberry lip gloss. Between him and Goldie, you were sure it had been kissed off within five minutes of application.
"Hey, Lovie." He smiled against your lips, bringing the baby into his arms when she began to whine for his attention. "Hi, my Goldie." He muttered affectionately, smoothing his hand over the baby's bare feet. He ticked them a bit, grinning at her belly laughs and squirms. "Mind if I steal her for the last song, Petal?"
"Have at it, Lovie." You muttered back, smiling and waving at your daughter who was clinging to her fathers torso with a wide grin and tired eyes. She had exceeded her bedtime hours ago, but nothing could make Harry's night better then sleepy cuddles right after his show and having her fall asleep on his chest with you in his arms and the buzz of fans leaving the venues.
Harry shushed the excited crowd, fondling Goldie's back as she laid her head down on his shoulder sleepily. She looked so small in his arms, it made your heart ache at the sight of them. You couldn't wait to log into your socials later and see the snaps the fans had captured of your big and little loves.
"Can you say Hi, Goldie?" Harry asks your baby, holding the microphone up to her lips, but all she does is wave tiredly to the crowd. It was the sleepy wave you loved, her little hand opening and closing towards the sea of overexcited humans. Harry had created the best, most supportive environment for your daughter to grow up in, taking the kicking and screaming from closed minded media outlets with a level head. He was everything you wanted Goldie to look up to and more. "She's not very polite." He teased, looking down at the baby with such love you wondered how his heart could still beat. "We're still working on our manors."
"I have one more song for you!" He bellowed into the microphone, fixing the headphones over Goldie's ears when her wiggling moved them. "This is Canyon Moon!"
You hadn't even realized Harry had moved it to the end of his set, but your heart fluttered as his eyes met yours. The same charming smile worked its way onto his lips before he turned towards the microphone, giving his all to a song that bled his undying love for you and everything the two of you had built from scraps of rainbow dreams.
"Gotta see it to believe it, sky never looked so blue..."

After meeting through some mutual friends you fell in love with each other. Chris swore he would have married you after your first date. A ring came about a year and a half later, Chris not wanting to call you anything but his wife for any longer. One dream wedding and a month-long honeymoon around the world, you were Mrs. Y/N Evans.
The conversation about kids came fairly early in the relationship. Him coming from a big family, he wanted the same for himself. He wanted a big house in the Massachusetts suburbs, the white picket fence, a couple of dogs, and the kids. He wanted to come home from work being attacked by a couple of kids and seeing you walking towards him barefoot and pregnant.
You were an only child to divorced parents, growing up mostly on your own. You never saw yourself as a mom, but always loved the idea of running after a couple of kids. Never wanting to bring a child into the kind of world you grew up in. The sad and lonely kind of world you endured most of your life. After meeting his family after a couple of months of dating and seeing the way he interacted with his nieces and nephews, you couldn’t help but hope to see yourself raising some kids with him.
He loved the idea of raising a family with you.
Grayson Christopher Evans
You brought your first child into the world not too long after your wedding.
You were in labor for about 16 hours before you were met with the screams of a baby boy.
Your baby boy.
He cried and cried until his skin met yours, calming him down almost instantly. Looking over at Chris who was at an absolute loss for words at the little person calming himself with the sound of your heartbeat. He looked at you for a while before looking back at his baby boy.
Chris couldn’t quite process the feelings he felt that night his son was born. He knew how much he loved you. You knew how much you loved him. But having this little person as a tangible expression of your love and commitment for each other was just beyond him. It was beyond anyone.
Grayson was just like his dad. Almost an exact copy of him if you were being honest. The same big blue eyes. The same soft brown hair. The same everything. Lisa often said how much Grayson was just like Chris was when he was a kid. There was little of you visible in him. Maybe he had the curve of your nose and the shape of your lips. But he was all Chris.
His little personality bubbling since day one. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby. He giggled as much as he could and played until he fell asleep with a toy in his hand. You were so lucky to have been gifted this little boy as your first baby. Chris had been struggling to balance work and his responsibility to you and Grayson but never failed to make sure you knew how loved you both were, even from thousands of miles apart.
Eleanor Olivia Evans
After another long labor, you welcomed a little girl into your new family of 4. A tiny little girl who, just like your boy once did, calmed themselves down at the sound of your heart and the warmth from your body. Chris once again sat there just absolutely beside himself at the sight of the love of his life with his little girl on your chest.
Introducing Eleanor, or Ellie, to Grayson was probably one of the greatest moments of your life. Chris walked in with Grayson in his arms telling him that we needed to use our indoor voices when talking to mommy and the baby. Grayson quickly climbed to sit right next to you, not bearing even 1 day away from you. You hugged your little boy and talked to him about meeting his sister. Grayson ran his little hands running along Eleanor’s cheeks as you sat there crying at the moment they were having with each other.
Now with a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old life couldn’t have been sweeter. You had hardly been working while pregnant with Ellie, still having to keep up with a rambunctious toddler. Before kids, you were doing some writing for all sorts of movies and TV shows. After kids, you took fewer jobs that require travel and stayed mostly local.
Chris not wanting to leave you at home with a toddler and a newborn had made sure his work kept him close or allowed you and the kids to go with him. You both wanted to make sure you were there when Grayson and Ellie needed you.
If Grayson was a mama’s boy, Ellie was 1000% a daddy’s girl. She refused to let Chris out of her sight if she could help it. She refused to sleep most nights without hearing the sound of her dad’s voice and would cry and cry if he didn’t sing her to sleep. When Chris was pulled away for a week for work you were losing your mind trying to get her to sleep.
After a mild breakdown, you gave in and called Chris knowing even hearing his voice over the phone would calm the baby down. He sat there on the phone and just talked to her. She fell asleep almost immediately and slept through most of the night. You thanked Chris and ended up asking him for voice recordings of him talking and singing so you could play them in case he was pulled away again.
Charlotte Rose Evans
Charlotte, or Charlie as she's been nicknamed by her siblings, came into the world with a crew waiting so patiently for her arrival. By far the most painful and complicated birth you have had, she had quite dramatically made her entrance into the Evans family.
You had been monitored closely the last couple of months of your pregnancy as Miss Charlie tried to make an appearance early. You had some complications about halfway through and your midwife had been worried about possible preterm labor. You had started to have what you knew were contractions at 30 weeks and were immediately rushed into the hospital to try and halt the contractions and luckily succeeding.
You were placed on strict bed rest for the remainder of your pregnancy, not even allowed to stand at the stove making dinner, only getting up to use the bathroom and move from the bed to the couch.
It didn’t make your life with an overactive 4 and 2-year-old easy at all. Chris stayed home 24/7 to take care of you and his mom and sisters rotating taking the time to stay with you to help with the kids.
When Charlie did make her debut both of you were as healthy as you could be. Once again, bringing Chris to tears as another baby made their way into your family. He didn’t know he was capable of loving this much. He thought he had reached capacity after Ellie but the love he had for you and his kids just kept growing as you kept adding on.
If Grayson was all Chris, Charlie was all you. Except for her blue eye, which you figured would be a pattern with your kids. She was a copy of you and Chris ate it up. Eleanor is a perfect combination of the two of you. You could see the traits of you as well as the traits of Chris throughout her. But Charlie was completely you.
Grayson fit right into his role as big brother and protector of the Evans girls. He made sure every night he said goodnight to his sisters and told them he loved them with a kiss on their foreheads.
Ellie was excited that she no longer had to share her dolls with Grayson and would finally have a girl to play with. Charlie looked up to her big sister, seeing her as the most amazing person she has ever met.
Grayson, however, felt like he needed another sibling, specifically a boy sibling, and constantly asked you for a brother. He said to you over and over again that his friends at school had brothers and he needed one so very bad. You and Chris had agreed to stop at 3 but had given into the idea of having 1 more to try and even out the numbers. With Grayson in 2nd grade, Ellie in kindergarten, and Charlie starting Pre-K soon, having another wouldn’t be impossible.
Declan Robert Evans
The 2nd boy and the 4th and final child Chris and Y/N had brought into their world. Another perfect mix of Chris and Y/N.
His birth being the last time you would be in the hospital having a baby made it just that more emotional. You soaked in the first moments of his life just a little bit more. Chris cried just a couple more tears, seeing that angel on your chest for the first time. You admired the father of your children just a little more seeing him introduce the addition to the family to your other kids. Adoring the look on Grayson’s face when you set Declan on his lap, finally meeting the little brother he’d been wanting. Asking you if he could take him to class to show off to all his friends.
Walking around your house Declan’s first day home was more emotional than you had thought it would be. You brought every single one of your babies right through your front door. You had pictures littered around the house of moments in your life you were lucky to have immortalized forever. Knowing you had started your family here made you love everything just that much more.
Declan now 5 years old, Charlotte 8 years old, Eleanor 10 years old and Grayson at 12 years old you couldn’t imagine life any differently. You and Chris celebrated 13 years of marriage and almost 15 years together surrounded by the physical representations of the love you two shared for each other was unexplainable.
You had slowly started to get back into the work you loved doing so much after Declan started school. You were able to work on projects offered to you with Chris and had become an unstoppable duo professionally and personally.
Even having the amazing opportunities to do something you loved to do, nothing would ever beat sitting around a table listening to your kids talk about everything and anything that came to mind. Listening to them talk about what happened at school or about upcoming events they want to participate in was the highlight of your day.
Grayson had been playing with a football the moment he could pick one up. Chris nearly cried when Grayson had approached you guys about doing little league football at the rec center. Chris had been watching Patriot's games with Grayson since the day he was born. Taking him to games with Scott whenever they had the chance. The love for football ran in his blood and when he found out he could play on a team he took the chance as soon as it presented himself.
Eleanor had found a love for music and performing, just like her dad. She had picked up music and singing at a very young age, which probably came from her dad's love of performing. You encouraged her to pursue her love for music by telling her stories of when her daddy was young and used to stand on stage before he started doing big movies. She loved looking at pictures and watching old videos of Chris performing in high school whenever she'd visit Grandma Lisa.
Charlotte had picked up your love of reading and writing as soon as she could. Her favorite day of the week is when her class gets to spend time at the library finding new things to read and learn about. So far a running theme with her is books about nature and animals. She loves sitting down with you in the afternoon and telling you about what she learned in the science portion of her day. She had learned about how plants and animals interact and how important they are for all humans. She told you that when she's big she wants to make sure no one ever hurts plants and animals since they are so important for us.
Declan hadn't quite developed a love for something like his siblings had. All he cares about right now is the kind of snacks his mom packs for him and superheroes. You and Chris had introduced him to the world of superheroes recently, knowing that being in school someone was bound to mention to him about seeing his dad on a movie they watched. He was obsessed with the fact that his dad was a superhero once upon a time. He loved watching Chris' movies and would always ask to watch them whenever Chris wasn't home.
You looked at Chris from across the table as Grayson talked to him about football tryouts and asking him if they could practice after dinner. He felt your eyes on him and looked at you with a smirk and a wink thrown at you before giving Grayson his attention again.
You sat back a little to look around at this family surrounding you, knowing there was nothing better than this.

Goodbye, Hello
You live next door to Jungkook until you were then you moved to another country the two of you are reunited at a fan meet.
Notes: In this, I’m making the reader about a year younger than Jungkook so ‘98 liners this one's for you. I’m imagining the reader half and grew up in a bilingual household. Also, Female pronouns used.
-------------------------------------------------
{1998, The day after you were born}
“Honey, can you put Jungkook’s shoes on?” Jungkook’s mum called out to her husband. She quickly finished packing the bag full of things needed for their neighbours new baby and their own. She grabbed Jungkook’s coat from where it was hanging over the side of a chair and walked into the living room. Her husband was tying up the laces of Jungkook's left shoe. The little boy was sitting on the edge of the couch before his dad swooped him up and rested him on his hip.
“Shall we go meet your friend Kookie?” He asked tickling Jungkook’s tummy. The toddler giggled and squirmed but nodded.
And with that, the couple armed with their son and a bag of presents set off for the hospital where their neighbours had just given birth to a baby girl.
Inside the hospital room, his parents swooned over the newborn baby. Their oldest son wasn't too impressed with the infant preferring to sit in the corner of the room on his Gameboy, but the baby fascinated Jungkook.
{2006}
As you and Jungkook grew up the two of you were inseparable. You did everything together, so much so that when you began taking an interest in dance Jungkook would come and watch every class. After every class, you would come out drenched in sweat and he wondered why you did something that made you so tired.
“Because I love it,” you told him after he asked you once “You know that feeling where you just find your thing? Dance is my thing, Oppa”
Jungkook didn’t really understand what you were talking about but he still nodded his head and supported you, taking a bit more interest in your classes now, trying to feel that feeling you described.
{2011}
Jungkook ran into your room, practically shaking with excitement. He bounced on his toes as you tilted your head and stared at him.
“I did it,” he said quietly, all in one breath “ I got in”
You were quick to your friend wrapping your arms around your best friend and pulling him into a tight hug. He was still bouncing so you hugged him tighter to make him stop.
“Congratulations” You cried “I’m so proud”
Jungkook buried his head in your shoulder and you could feel his tears. You stroked his hair as he cried. His dream was coming true you could stand one tear stained shirt. Over his shoulder, you looked at the pile of folded up boxes. You had been going to tell him today but you couldn’t. Not now. You pulled back from the hug to rest your foreheads together.
“You are going to be amazing” You whispered to him staring directly into his eyes “And one day when you're up on stage winning awards I’m going to get to say that's my best friend”
Jungkook let out a watery chuckle, smiling through his tears.
“I’m going to become an idol” He mumbled
You shook your head.
“Not just an idol, the idol. You're going to be bigger than G-Dragon” `You told him. After Jungkook had left to start packing for his move to Seoul You sat in your bed staring at the pile of boxes in the corner.
Jungkook was so happy. He was going to live his dream and become a singer. He didn’t need to know, it would be better for him if he didn’t know.
And so you began packing the boxes, full of books and toys and birthday presents. It was a few days later when you packed up the final item. A framed photo of you and Jungkook from your most recent birthday. You both had party hats on and there was cake smeared all down your face and in Jungkook’s hair, but you were smiling wide, your arms wrapped around each other.
Jungkook had been so busy packing for his own move that he hadn’t had time to come round and just as well. Your room was now bare, your bed and dresser the only thing still in it, waiting for the moving truck to come the next day.
The next day, as you packed everything up in the truck a part of you, wished that Jungkook would see what was happening. But it wouldn’t you had asked his parents to take him out that day so that he wouldn’t see you moving. When everything was packed you turned and looked at the house you had grown up in one last time before getting into the car and driving away.
When Jungkook got home it was late. His parents had taken him out to the movies and dinner to celebrate him becoming a trainee. He was high on sugar and pure excitement so he didn’t notice the empty driveway and the for sale sign up in the yard.
{2013}
It had been two years since you moved from Korea, and in those two years never once had you contacted Jungkook. But you still supported him from afar after his debut. You watched all of his stages and streamed the music video for his group's debut song constantly. You missed Jungkook with all your heart but he seemed happy and it wasn’t your place to disrupt that.
Sighing you closed your laptop and pulled on your shoes preparing for the walk to school. Moving to another country hadn’t been easy. When you’d first arrived you had been teased for your accent. You had struggled to read and write in English even though you spoke the language fluently. But you’d managed to make some good friends who had stuck with you and helped you through the transition.
You meet one of your friends at the corner, they had headphones in and were making small movements which you recognised as EXO’s latest comeback. Your friend hadn’t been into K-pop before you meet her but she found the language fascinating and soon was listening to the music.
“(Y/F/N)” You cried pulling out one of her headphones. She whined at you for interrupting her music as the two of you started your walk to school.
“Have you listened to BTS’s song yet?” you asked her. She nodded her head.
“Yeah, listened to it last night. It’s good I like it” she said
“Who’s your bias? Do you know?” You asked.
“Hmmm” she hummed, “I think it might be either V or Jungkook, I haven’t decided yet”
Your heart lurched at the casual mention of your best friend, but your friend was already asking you a question.
“Who’s yours again?”
“Oh Suga” You lied, hurrying your feet as the school building approached. If your friend noticed anything wrong she didn’t say anything.
{Present day}
For the first time in years, you were going back to Korea. As the flight landed your nerves doubled. What if you weren’t making the right choice? Did you really have the right to walk back into his life after leaving him so many years ago?
Apparently, his parents thought so since they were the ones who invited you back to Korea. Jungkook wasn’t as happy as he looked according to them. He missed you just as much as you had missed him.
When he had realised that you had moved he had immediately asked for your new address assuming that you had just moved to another street and that was why you hadn’t said anything. His parents said he broke down when he found out you had moved to another country and it had affected his training for a few months. He kept asking if you had contacted them if they knew the next time he could see you. Why you hadn’t said goodbye.
And now you were here, in Korea, with the sole purpose of reuniting with your childhood best friend.
“(Y/N)” Jungkook’s parents called out when they saw you, rushing to pull you into a hug.
“Oh my god, you’ve grown up so much” His mum cried holding you at arm's length to get a better look at you.
“You’re so pretty” she complimented you. You felt your cheeks redden and your vision became fuzzy as tears flooded your eyes and before you knew it you were bawling your eyes out in the middle of the airport. Ruining the makeup you had tried so hard to get perfect on the plane.
They pulled back in for another hug, ignoring the mascara that was running down your face. They had raised you just as much as your own parents had when you were in Korea and seeing them again after so many years made you feel guilty for ignoring them. Somehow they calmed you down and got you into the car.
The plan was for you to reunite with him at the fan sign BTS was having later this afternoon, there were a few hours between your landing and the signing so you went back to the hotel to freshen up. Now as you were about to leave you stared at yourself in the mirror in the bathroom.
“You can do this” you whispered to yourself “He’s Jungkook. You knew him when you were in diapers. It’ll be just like meeting his parents again”
You took a deep breath, fixed a stray strand of hair and walked out of the bathroom. Soon you were standing outside the building where the fan sign was being held. Other fans were rushing towards the doors, pushing and trying to get to the front of the line. You walked slowly and joined the end of the line, with every step forward your nerves grew.
Then you were talking to Namjoon, the first person in line. He seemed to notice your nerves because he tried to calm you down.
“Hey are you ok?” he asked reaching out for your hand. You glanced down the line to Jungkook quickly, who was right at the end. Just your luck.
“I’m meeting an old friend soon and I haven’t spoken to them in years. I just, I don’t how they're going to react to me” you told him honestly. Namjoon smiled warmly.
“I’m sure they're going to be so excited to see you” he squeezed your hand.
You went down the line through the rest of the members until you were just about to move to Jungkook for a second you couldn’t move. Holding your breath you slid in front of Jungkook. The two of you locked eyes.
“Hi” He smiled at you, he didn’t seem to recognize you. As expected you had changed a lot in your time away from
“Hi” you whispered back breathless, his eyebrows furrowed worriedly.
“Are you ok?”
You nodded “I’m reuniting with an old friend you see. I left them a long time ago and I didn’t say goodbye. I’m not sure how they're going to feel seeing me again after all these years”
You saw Jungkook tense up before he shook it off.
“I would be happy to see you” He smiled.
“What’s it like being an idol?” you asked him, racking your brain trying to figure out how to tell him.
“It’s fun, I enjoy it but I’m just me” he answered, looking down to sign the album I had brought.
“Yeah but you're THE idol, you're bigger than G-Dragon,” you said repeating the last thing you had said to him before you left. He recognized it too, his head snapped up and his eyes scanned my face. I saw his eyes get watery and I felt my do the same.
“(Y/N)?” He whispered you nodded slowly.
“Hi” You whispered back. Jungkook stood up from his chair and ran around the side of the table, past the security guards trying to stop him, causing fans to cry out. He pulled you up from where you were sitting into a strong hug. He was taller than you now so you buried your face in his chest wrapping your arms around his waist. You were both crying, you could feel his tears on your head and you were sure he could feel you're soaking his shirt.
“”I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry” You cried into his shirt.
“It’s ok” He mumbled by your ear stroking your hair “you're here”
