I had been waiting and waiting what seems like forever for a heart-wrenching love story (@ekunlj can attest to this) and then #SevenDayQueen premiered. And delightfully, it was exactly the beautiful, bittersweet, tragic love story I had been looking for that almost makes up for how long it took to enter my life. For me, it was darn near perfect with a compelling childhood connection that transitioned seamlessly to adulthood not just narratively but in acting portrayals. #LeeDonggun had a stellar year and was phenomenal in this role along with the always wonderful #YeonWoojin. #ParkMinyoung isnt a consistent actor but she won my heart as the lovable Chaeyoung. Who actually became one of the reasons female leads didn’t stay in the gutter for me in 2017. The story surrounded this trio and they sold every moment. A show like this one is chalk full of the kind of tracks I love and this one by #DearCloud was perfect for our lovers, basically telling their story with every line, determined to never leaving my eyes dry each time it plays. okay, so! I’m going to do a two-in-one Blue Night special today. context for story number 1: it’s the November 11, 2016 broadcast of Blue Night. DJ jjong was asked a question about how well he knows his own personality, and he said that he knows himself pretty well. and then he told this story (I did my best with translating the vibe of it but this one’s a little tough so hopefully it makes sense):

예전엔 그런 적은 있었어요: 우리 스텝 분들이 막 예기 하면서 어떤 스텝 분이 저 한태 “[너는] 어떻다” 라고 예기를 했는데... 저는 되게 “내가?” 그랬는데 멤버들도 “네가?” ㅎㅎ 스텝들은 다 그렇게 생각하는데 저랑 되게 가까운 그 다섯 명 - 저를 포함한 멤버 다섯명 만 - “아닌데 절대 아닌데” 이렇게 예기 했었던 기역이 나요. 항상 가까이 있는 사람과 멀리 있는 사람... 멀리 있다라기 보다 진짜 치밀한 사의와 어느정도 그래도 앞면치를 하는 사람들 [이랑 같이 있을 때] 성격의 치의도 있는 것 같고...

This happened a while ago: our staffers were all talking amongst each other and one of them said that “you are like this” (he doesn’t specify the personality trait) to me. I was like, “me???”and my members were also like, “you???” (laughing) All the staffers thought so but I remember that the five who are really close to me - the five members, including myself - thought, “no way, he’s not like that.” There’s a difference in my personality when I’m around people who I’m close to and people who I’m not, or not necessarily not close to, but a difference between people with whom I have a very close relationship and people with whom I still have a wall up...

I just love this one for a couple reasons: first of all, same. who can’t relate to this story? second of all, it’s just a peek into the relationship that ot5 has with each other, and I always love when we get to see that.

continuing that theme, context for story number two: it’s a short one! it was jjong’s third anniversary as the DJ for Blue Night (February 3, 2017) and DearCloud’s Nine was asking him questions about himself.

나인: “요즘 가장 위로가 되는 것은?”

종현: “요즘 가장 위로가 되는 것은... 친구들, 멤버들, 사람들.”

나인: “멤버들 만나면 아직도 이렇게 좋고 그래요?”

종현: “엄청 장난 많이 치죠 다들 장난꾸러기들 이라서. 오래 있어서 서로 잘 알고... 그래서 좋습니다.”

Nine: “The thing that brings you the most comfort these days?”

Jonghyun: “The thing that brings me the most comfort these days... my friends, members, people.”

Nine: “Is it still that great when you meet your members [since you’ve been together a long time]?”

Jonghyun: “We goof around a lot, since we’re all giant goofballs. We’ve been together a long time, so we know each other well... that’s why I still like it when we meet.”

I’m not crying, you are.

and yes, there are a lot more Blue Night stories coming. I still play old episodes of Blue Night every night to help me sleep... I miss his voice. I miss the things he would say so thoughtfully. I miss him. 🌙✨

Concept #01 - RPG Medieval The concept was to make a RPG Game via a website which would be made with Ruby on Rails. I made a good base but abandonned it by lack of time. Maybe one day i’ll continue it. Who knows. The design was made with the help of a lot of free awesome resources. I’ll credit them if i find them.
