Dean swallows, his own thighs shifting slightly in a subconscious attempt to ease some of the pressure in his jeans. "Yeah, well…"

Donna can’t help but notice his gaze dipping down, his thighs moving on the couch, the clenching of his jaw. She swallows, her own tongue peeking out to wet her lips, her heart beating a little faster. There was an unspoken tension between them, one that had been present nearly every time they were together, one that Donna had mostly been oblivious to. But at this moment, it felt thick, almost stifling. And it was very much on purpose this time.

I love this. Not only the truthfulness behind it, but the fact that I'm in constant need of hearing it. It's still so wild to me, the fact that I can recite something like this to someone else and fully believe it, but the second I try to apply it to myself it's instantly 'no no no..'. Broken record time, but it's one of the things I enjoy most about your pieces, that relatability to your reader or ofc character. And as always the validation that - even if you already know it logically - you are not the only one going through these feelings. I adore you for that 💖 Great use of starting with a more lighthearted set up to ease us into a more in depth portrayal.

For @idreamofplaid Robin is one of my favorite members of the SPN fandom! She gives us all so much joy with her “Good Morning Sam Girls” posts. Every once in a while, I try to pay her back a little by playing “fic for a gif.” This one was immediately inspiring.

That famous Sam Winchester bitchface. You had seen it plenty of times before, but never quite like this. Never aimed at you. Sam’s pursed lips and furrowed brow did not quite cover the concern in his eyes. 

“What have I told you about asking for help?” he asked, insistently. 

You rolled your eyes and mumbled the answer. “That it’s okay to ask for help.”

“But did you listen?” He didn’t give you a chance to answer. “No! You didn’t. And now look.”

“It’s just a sprained ankle!” you protested. The boys had returned from a week-long hunting trip to find you limping around the bunker with your foot wrapped.

You had come to think of them as a pair of older brothers, and, like brothers do, they didn’t hesitate to boss you around.

“Your toes are black and blue. You’ve broken a bone too,” Sam insisted. “Tell me again, what was so important that you crawled up on a chair to scour the upper kitchen cabinets?” 

“It’s not my fault you two are tall and taller! Giants who keep the baking pans way up high out of reach.” 

“Baking pans. You broke your foot for baking pans?” Dean chimed in. His eyebrows were raised, his lips pursed. It wasn’t quite bitchface, but you felt the disapproval.

“Sprained,“ you repeated. “I wanted to bake cupcakes as a surprise, to welcome you home, both of you.” You tried your most convincing look but they were immune to your wide eyes and quick smile.

“Your cupcakes are delicious. But no surprise is worth you getting hurt,” Dean said, nodding at Sam.

“Here’s what’s going to happen,” said Sam in that commanding tone that brooked no argument. “You are going to sit still, and heal, and let us fuss over you.” 

“Like you always fuss over us,” Dean added. 

The two of them walked out, leaving you in the library with your foot up and your crutches out of reach. You tried for a bit to find a way to get up, and finally settled back in defeat.

Sam looks so tired.  Odd name Paster and that's where I got lost. Deany in that get up omg lol yes.  Oh Donna nooonooo. Hey Tinkers damn. Tink Dabb finally mentioned you. Awww Doug he's so cute and caring I like him, keeper. Hey Dean take your own advice. Cas and Dean parallel I think. ??? Idk. Donna is badass Dark!Donna I like. This guy gives me chills.  Dean chill. Reminds me of MoC hmm. He was wearing that red shirt. Eww man. And sad for those people. Oh Doug. Poor Donna. May I hug her now? The talk. Dean looks so pretty in this episode. Intense music. Dundun. Awe Dougy did I hear that right? Cos if I did cute. Oh well SHIT not good. So that's with the Vamp!Dean in recap. Oh no poor Doug. "Bring it twilight!" yeah Dean. You don't save lives idiot.
