A Reddit where a woman was spared time and energy with a deadbeat because someone was honest with her.

This guy gets a new gf and decides to visit a family function so he could play loving dad.

The gf has been having doubts about the relationship and took a chance to get the sons side. When she was given information that confirmed her suspicions she dumped and was honest has to why.

Instead of accepting that he fucked up with his kids and is still a cheapskate he blamed the son for being honest. And implied that she wasn’t able to think for himself. Very few women dump a guy purely over what someone they just met said over a smoke break.

ok so jimmy mariano is like the worst character ever, but we do need to be grateful to him for one thing (sigh, i know) and that is jess’ name. so jess mariano is an incredible name, right? it just sounds cool. jess having his dad’s last name at all makes little sense but it does sound better on him than danes. also his first name. we know based on later events in the series that liz’ taste in names is questionable at best so we can assume jimmy picked out jess. so i guess what i’m trying to say is thanks for your one contribution to society jimmy.

My sister Julia has been in a toxic relationship for years in which she was repeatedly physically and emotionally abused and recently her husband up and left her and my nephew Aiden, who tried to defend her from him, with no way to pay housing or car bills and most importantly no way to pay for my epileptic nephew's doctor bills. My sister has a number of medical needs as well, including care for therapy after abuse, kidney problems and most likely other psychiatric disorders if my own mental health is anything to go off of. Please boost and help if you can. Julia is finally able to try living for herself but can't get off the ground without the means. Aiden is a young man with a lot of potential who is more than willing to work to help his mother, but without a home and a reliable vehicle he won't have much luck either. Link

I know I criticized Keke here for sticking with that deadbeat nobody of a baby daddy, but I didn't know how bad she had it with him. I definitely stand with her, and I hope she and her child are safe and sound.

Why does society look down on single mothers?

How can we have anything bad to say about the parent that stayed to raise the child or children, alone?

Why doesn't society blame the fathers who left?

It doesn't matter whether you could get along as a couple. It is a disgrace to shirk your responsibility as a parent.

Also using outdated and unscientific research to state that children of single mothers are prone to crime and degeneracy, is just a lazy and round about way of blaming single mothers for raising their children

Let's change the termilogy to lay any negativity at the feet of those who deserve it

i wonder where the idea of chilchuck being a deadbeat came from when theres like. no textual evidence for it ?

he knows what all of them are up to; he still writes to flertom and she sent him his neckwarmer, so that to me implies that they at least have a somewhat positive relationship?

its more ambiguous with meijack and puckpatti, but since meijack is also a picklock, i wouldn't be surprised if he taught her himself, considering how trades are often passed down through families, and because he talks about sending people to her if he dies.

also the way he talks about puckpatti is very like... it's obvious he wants her to take things more seriously, but he's accepting, and his tone here reads more fond to me than anything else.

like, he keeps his daughters' old toys under his desk? that doesn't scream 'deadbeat' at all, it screams 'empty nester' who doesn't know how to reach out or is scared to do so

EDIT: i know a lot of the 'deadbeat dad' stuff is jokes, but some people are Not joking and genuinely think chilchuck is a bad dad. this post is not saying that you cant joke about it; it is just outlining what canon shows regarding his (clearly positive) relationship with his kids.

Celeb Gossip Is Pro-Natalist, Part 2

Not sure if the title works, but I'm sticking with it.

Just some comments I found in this post in a subReddit on celeb gossip. (That I also follow, I know.) How fucking sad. See what happens when you have babies with trash-ass "men"?! You can't leave him because baby, and you get rando idiots like these supporting Keke for not leaving her awful baby daddy because baby. "Make it work..." because "SHES A MOTHHHHAAA" for the sake of a result from raw-dogging one night. *gags* I've known broken families where the parents tried making it work for the sake of their kids. Simply put, it didn't work. And the mothhhaaa was miserable AF.

And, sure, Keke may be a celeb and all that, but bringing a kid into that mess? My reasons for not stanning her have now been validated. (I gave her props here and there, but I'm not really a fangirl.) Such a shame.
