It's not that I don't support her because of her sound, I just can't support anyone who ever supported scientology and Danny Masterson. I don't care if she apologized. Apology not accepted. She's just saving her ass now to try to not look like a horrible human being. It's not gonna work with a lot of LP fans. It's sad the fans have to be divided, Chester wouldn't want that. But Chester did want us to move on. However I'm incredibly saddened that out of all people on the planet, that's the singer that Mike chose.

Here’s the thing about Linkin Park that these so called fans are taking for granted.

There was a genuine, honest to god possibility that they would never make music together again. Some fans hoped and prayed that they would return in some, or any capacity. Some vowed to respect their decision if they chose to not continue. Some were probably ready to take to the internet and rage no matter what choice they made. But at the end of the day I think we all deep down wanted them to continue.

And somehow, against all odds, they came back! They’re going on tour and have an album that will be out in less than three weeks! Mike, Brad, Dave, and Joe have not stopped smiling since the surprise livestream and they all look happier than they’ve appeared in years! And they found a lead singer who not only vibes with them incredibly well, but somehow sounds like and not like Chester in the best ways possible!

And yet that’s unacceptable to some of you? I just don’t get it! Months ago fans hoped and prayed for a day like this to come and yet it feels like every corner of the internet I go I’m met with “this doesn’t sound like Linkin Park” “how dare they hire Emily” “they’re erasing Chester” “they should’ve kept doing Hybrid Theory”

Shut up just shut up. Holy crap talk about looking a gift horse in the damn mouth.

Let’s break a few things down. First and foremost, the Emily thing. We have the word of one person that she may still be in the cult. A cult that any Dead Sara fan can tell you, she has done what she can to speak out against it through her lyrics in terms of anti religion, pro mental health, and other topics that the cult is against. A cult that she was born into and had no choice. Yes, the cult is bad and abuses kids, and is responsible for other heinous crimes. But it’s the cult that is evil, not the people who have no damn choice like Emily. Would any of you say the Jewish people are inherently evil for the crimes that Israel is committing? What about the Catholics, are those born into it evil for the abuse their priests commit against children that the Pope continues to allow to go unpunished? No, because the people and the “religion” are two completely different things. I bet not a single one of you Emily haters has even given a damn THOUGHT of what Emily might have gone through. She is an out and proud lesbian, and you IMAGINE what they did to her when she came out? You try and expose the abuse the cult commits against its members, not once thinking Emily has gone through that same abuse. Anyone who knows about the cult knows that while you can leave, if you speak out against it, they will not only cut your friends and family still in the cult out of your life, the cult will then proceed to make your life a living hell. Why in the world would Emily risk not only her life, but the lives of those closest to her? I certainly do not blame this choice in the slightest. She is a human being whose only crime is she isn’t Chester.

Shame on all of you.

Second, let’s talk about Chester. I miss him, god I miss him every damn day. Mike misses him. Brad, Joe, Dave, Rob, all of them miss him. Talinda, Sam, and Elka misses him. Draven, Isaiah, Tyler, Jaime, Lily, and Lila all fucking miss him. Did you know he has been gone now more than half of Lily and Lila’s life now? No one can ever truly replace him, everyone around Linkin Park knows this, nor do they want anyone to replace him. Emily is not here to replace him, she is simply here to begin a new phase of the band. Chester will never be replaced and never be forgotten, that is why Mike said during the livestream “and in the place of Chester Bennington is all of you”.

But Jaime is not well. What he is doing is attempting to divide us as he struggles to cope with the unthinkable. It is very clear that he is still not over his father being gone and he is lashing out against anyone for the crime of simply moving on with their lives. I’m not saying he needs to move on right now or that you need to move on now. But it has to happen, you can’t simply refuse to change and choose to stay stagnant, it’s not healthy. My own grandmother lost her beloved husband of over sixty years back in 2018 and she has still not fully moved on. No one is forcing her, but she knows at some point the day will come she packs up the last of his clothing and either donates it or places it in a closet. But that day is not today, but it will come one day. Jaime is clearly using unhealthy coping mechanisms and is willing to drag anyone down with him, damn the consequences. Please know that if you believe Jaime, know that the rest of the Linkin Park community has been helpless as we have watched his decline over the past few years. I have seen him go from defending against the conspiracies to him spouting them. His own mother Elka has had to cut him out of her life because of how much damage he was doing to her mental health. Mike and Talinda have restraining orders against him. His own siblings don’t talk to him anymore. He needs to heal and get help. And as for Chester’s mother? Don’t forget she was fine with letting him live in his car as an addicted teenager. He was barely in contact with her as an adult. When his parents divorced he initially lived with his dad, an extremely unusual choice for the time especially considering his dad is a detective. Linkin Park did not need her permission to move on and why would they? Legally speaking, she would have no decision making rights, those would go to Talinda. You know, the woman he said was his soulmate? The woman he was head over heels in love with? The woman who, when asked “what do you look for in a woman” his response was “Um I look to see if the woman is Talinda and if I don’t see her I keep looking!” “Oh but Talinda remarried!” Yeah, and they divorced. Grief will do different things to different people. My parents have discussed “what to do if I go first” in terms of moving on romantically especially considering my mother struggles with depression. It is very likely that Chester and Talinda had a similar discussion, after all, that’s what married couples do. So don’t you dare hold it against her for wanting to move on with her life.

Finally, the music thing. Jesus Christ the music thing. Every damn album since Minutes to Midnight there are people who come out of the woodwork moaning and groaning, “when will they do Hybrid Theory 2?” “They sold out!” “I want the old Linkin Park sound!” They GAVE you a Hybrid Theory 2 it’s called Meteora. They GAVE you a hard rock album, it’s called The Hunting Party. They GAVE you their Dark Side of the Moon, it’s called A Thousand Suns. They are artists. Making the same thing over and over again is mind numbing and the killer of creativity. They started this band to experiment and make music that was different. And that’s what they do with each and every album. And quite frankly, if you don’t like it, don’t listen to it, have fun listening to Hybrid Theory on repeat, let me know how that goes for you, I imagine it’s a lot like turning on the radio in December, fun at first, but after hearing Jingle Bells for the fiftieth time you’re ready to pull your hair out.

Like it or not, Chester is no longer with us. And it would absolutely gut him to see the fans he loved so much, the fans he would brag about “having the best damn fans in the world” being so divided, especially because of him. If nothing else, you owe it to him to give Linkin Park the benefit of the doubt. If you all loved him like you claim to, at least give it a shot for him.
