When will the prompts be posted?

Prompts for the upcoming month will be posted on the last day of each month, with daily prompt reminders posted each day at 12am EST.

Can I write for any fandom and/or ship?

Yes, Taylor Swift microfic is open to all fandoms and ships!

Can I write more than 500 words?

We encourage you to challenge yourself to write a story within 50-500 words, however if you are feeling inspired, you are welcome to write more than this.

Can I combine prompts?

You are welcome to combine prompts from Taylor Swift microfic and/or other microfic challenges, if the other challenges allow it. If you are combining multiple microfic prompts into a series, please ensure you link previous works.

Can I write a microfic for previous prompts?

Yes, you’re more than welcome to write for any previous prompts, even if the date or month has already passed.

Are NSFW or dead dove works allowed?

Yes, please just make sure to tag appropriately and include any relevant content warnings if needed.

Will my microfic be reblogged?

We will aim to reblog all microfics that tag @taylorswiftmicrofic within 24-48 hours of posting, however this may vary depending on our mod's availability.

Q: The day for the prompt has already passed. Can I still write a microfic? A: YES! You can still submit a microfic for any prompt that has passed, just note the original prompt date in your submission.

Q: Will you reblog my post? A: Yes, we will reblog every microfic that tags this account. Give us 72 hours to have it reblogged before reaching out to us about it. If we still have not reposted it in that time, then please feel free to DM or send us an ask about it.

Q: How should I incorporate the prompt into my microfic? A: Feel free to use the exact word/phrase in your work, or just use the prompt as a general idea. (Example: if the prompt is ‘not in the swimming pool!’ then you can use that as a quote from one of the characters, or simply write about a scene where something ensues that maybe shouldn’t be done in a swimming pool.)
