You'd think I looped these poorly but no, the vertical sync in the CRT snaps back when the image reaches the lower quarter or so, even after I messed with its adjustment to make the image roll.

This tube is from 1977 yet it's exceedingly bright still. It's a video display for a TRS-80 model 1 computer connected to a laptop with a composite converter and an adapter cable I made.

i have this silly little dcst modern au where everyone is their real age (since their ages get so messed up with the medusa) but it mostly circles around uni student ukyo who somehow gets roped into babysitting/chaperoning a bunch of the neighborhood kids. it’s so funny to me that ukyo, hyoga, sai, xeno, and stan are all around the same age

Dr Stone Crossovers

I've been gathering up a lot of fic ideas over the years. Dr Stone especially so, with more than half a dozen of them being crossover plot bunnies, to fandoms going from JJK to ATLA. That I may not write, no matter how much I want to.

Something also happening recently is that I'm eleven followers away from qualifying to be a twitch affiliate, where I do fic writing streams.

So here's my offer: if I ever become an affiliate, I'll do a marathon of dcst crossover fics. Doing outlines, writing chapters for each idea, top-to-bottom full walkthrough of my thought process and world-building. Crossovers are my passion, and I've been perfecting the art online for half a decade now.

Below the cut is a list of the eight dcst crossover fic ideas i have, if you want to see what I have in store. I've put excerpts of a lot of these on tumblr already, and talked about them in general, so you might recognize a bunch.

ATLA AU: Where Senku is the Avatar, the Medusa was a weapon used by the Fire Nation, and Ryuusui is the Fire Prince in charge of hunting him down.

Naruto Both-Canons-Coexist: Senku reborn in the Naruto-verse Canon Era, where the Naruto-verse is Earth centuries after the Initial Petrification Event.

AssClass Tie-in: Junior High!Senku gets sent in to Kunigigaoka Academy's 3-E, to attempt to kill Koro-sensei. Yuzuriha comes with him, lives to regret it.

JJK Both-Canons-Coexist AU: Nanami Ryuusui and Nanami Kento are cousins, Medusa is an SSS-level curse, and Kohaku has the Six Eyes 3700 years in the future.

FMA Roleswap: Sai and Ryuusui in place of Ed and Al. (Byakuya is Maes Hughes; Senku is older than Alicia, tho)

FMA Cross-Dimension: Senku and Edward Elric meet.

Bungou to Alchemist Tie-In: Byakuya incarnates in the Library as an Author

Saiki k Both-Canons-Coexist: Saiki escapes the stone before Senku and does nothing with that head start.

Some ideas for DCST x Romance Killer AU

(because there’s no way I’d watch that and not think of Senku in that situation 😂)

“Hm? Oh, what is that, Senku-chan?” asked Gen, who had come over for an impromptu slumber party after her parents decided to go out on what Gen referred to as an ‘emergency romantic night out'.

Confused by her words, Senku looked away from her desk to stare incredulously as Gen picked up Medusa from the bedside table.

Since when was Gen able to see them? As far as Senku knew, no one but her could.

“Unhand me, you damned–!”

“It’s so cute~!”

“We-Well, that’s true but…”

“Are you kidding me?!"

“It doesn’t matter what she says! I still don’t like her!" Medusa pointed out before turning their attention back to Gen: "And you! Stop getting in the way of my plans!!” Medusa continued to complain, but it was clear that Gen couldn’t hear them, just see them. They would later explain that was what happened when they were low in magic and didn't have the proper time to recharge.

"There’s nothing ‘cute’ about that thing!” Senku continued, incredulous both at Gen’s words and Medusa’s reaction.

“Come on, Senku-chan! It’s so adorable! Where did you even get it? I’d love to get one for myself~,” Senku frowned at Gen’s words.

“Believe me, you wouldn’t… And stop hugging that thing!”

How could Gen find her tormentor cute?!

“Mm? Jealous?”

“I-I-,” why would she even be jealous of Medusa getting closer to Gen? It’s not as if she liked her!

“It’s a nice toy, Senku-chan, but I’m not going to steal it from you... Even if you refuse to tell me from where you got it,” she pointed out with a pout at the end.

“It’s not–!” right, she couldn’t tell her the truth. “It’s not like that… Um… the old hag gave it to me.”

“Aww!!”

“Stop it!”

“I knew you were a softie deep down!” She said, putting Medusa away (finally!) to pinch Senku’s cheeks instead.

“Ugh… Leave me alone…” She groaned but otherwise, didn’t make any attempt to push Gen away. It would be a waste of energy. 

She did ignore Medusa’s intense stare.

“You know? I think I’m starting to like Gen. She thinks I’m cute and doesn’t try to throw me out the window every time she sees me. Maybe I should do as you suggested and just go with her–”

“DON’T YOU DARE!”

What the hell was she doing?! That was exactly what she had been looking for, a chance to get her old life back!

“Why? Gen needs to get a boyfriend too! I know I said she could solve it by herself, but I might as well help her out. I’m sure she would appreciate it.”

“No, leave her alone.”

What would Medusa even threaten Gen with? Taking away her magic props? Gen could do magic with pretty much anything! Her psychology stuff, then? She probably had it all memorized by now…

“I know what you’re thinking, but you’re wrong. I wouldn’t threaten her, Senku. Gen would appreciate my help, remember? I’m sure she’ll be more than excited to have all those ikemen surrounding her~!”

“I said no. Stay away from her.”

“Why?”

Why indeed.

[F/N: Funny how it went from a “haha anime” to a quite unnerving one in the last two episodes. I still liked it, but I went there blindly x’D

They also gave me hope with my random ship only to kill it in the same episode. Rude!]

Possible deal that Senkuu is suggesting

So in chapter 230 we finally got a glimpse of the Medusa's true intention, which was to petrify humanity in order to preserve themselves, but unfortunately the Medusa's didn't expect for the humans to revive soooo late, so a good chunk of them that's on earth 'dies' while waiting (essentially rusting away)

And now we know that

The Medusa's can die

Oxygen to them is like poison, making them unable to move/think on their own

They can be activated via voice command, but it's not of their will

Now, Senkuu at the end of the chapter suggested a private negotiation, probably a deal that could benefit both parties, for what that deal is here my take:

Senku will suggest to use the Medusa's for space travel!!

And by space travel i mean the STAR WARS kind, here's my reason : since the Medusa's weakness is oxyygen, then it's clear that they're meant to be USE IN SPACE where there's no oxygen, a few chapters back Stanley even said that he can't even FEEL any vibration fom the stone despite being inside the Space Rocket, this is a huge burden lifted for space travel

now the second reason is we know the Medusa's have a higher knowledge in science than us, and if senkuu can do it he might manage to know HOW the Medusa's got HERE in the first place, and finally solve the puzzle piece for interplanetary travel

Third reason is i just thought id would BE AWESOME AND COOL AF if the manga went into that direction

Now I've talked about the pros for humans, what's for the Medusa's?

Well the obvious, the Medusa's will survive as that is their end goal. The humans will take care of them for space travel and in return the Medusa's can suck on their life energy or whatever, turning the relationship from Parasitic to Mutualism

The problem is, that is IF the Medusa's are WILLING to do it, and also the if the rest of the people on earth agree

So to conclude this lengthy rambling, I'm STOKED for next week's chapter!!!!
