Trail biking in Spain.  What a way to spend a long weekend!  Hubby and were there a couple of weeks ago trailing riding with https://www.redtread.com.  I’m still relatively new to being on a dirt bike myself, but the trails, although hard work at times for my limited ability, were fantastic and I feel I’ve come away a much improved off-roader.  I managed the steepest ascents and descents I’ve ever ridden, switchbacks that were at times hair raising, and discovered a love for the mighty little Yamaha Tricker.  For those of us not blessed with the tall gene, nor even the average height gene, come to that, the Tricker proved to be a confidence boosting little bike and it did not fail to go where the bigger bikes went.  Its cute appearance may fool you, however, it’s a fine workhorse!

Retread Spain are a great family run company.  They were welcoming from the start and the guiding was superb, providing the right mix of enjoyment and challenging biking.  The after ride cake is also worth a mention.  Returning back to base to be greeted with freshly made cake was a real treat!  My husband and I hope to be back again some time.  In the mean time, we’ll continue to put up with the lack of sunshine and extreme muddy conditions in Wales.  It’s all character building stuff! 😉
