Hi, castlevania dropped in dbd and I've been feral, please excuse my rambling.

Reader is a Belmont.

You and Trevor in the fog first and a month or so before Alucard shows up, and when he does he's glad to see his old friend and questions who the other Belmont is(you)

You're delighted to get to know him and Trevor more, as you have read so many books and texts about him from previous Belmonts, it's so nice to finally meet him! However, much like Trevor, there is a bit of a learning curve he has to go through.

Other survivors try to help him, but most aren't really easy on him, which is fair and you don't blame them! After all, in trials it's nerve wrecking, you can't exactly teach him with all the time in the world. But he picks up gens with ease.

It's everything else that trips him up.

Huntress landed one hell of a shot on him, he shouted surprised and pained by the hatchet that came out of nowhere across the map.

His shoulder now slashed, slowly dripping blood and soaking into his shirt and cloak. but ten minutes later as he was helping you on a gen, you noticed he looked to be in far more agony than anyone you've ever met, his skin sweaty, taking shallow breathes, he looked scared.

"Alucard?"

"I'm not healing, why am I not healing? Gods it hurts...what is this?"

You are swift to whip out your med kit and start patching him up, gently shushing his pained whimpers as you focus on healing him.

"There, good as new!"

He still looks so confused, and it makes sense, his own regenerative abilities always came in handy, he's never really need a med kit, and most of his human companions had a mage on hand for healing.

A match against Trapper was much the same.

Alucard didn't even notice the trap, that or he did didn't care, he just walked right into it and his scream was heard across the map, his second scream as he placed on hook sounded like he was right next to you he was so loud.

When you got him off hook and to a safer place, he collapsed on you, his forehead on your shoulder, which was growing wet, either from his sweat or tears you arent sure, but he held onto you as you patched him up, shaking like a leaf in a storm.

"Why...why does it hurt so much? I...I shouldn't have gotten hurt from such a weak trap."

He sounds so tired, his voice is weak, small even.

"The entity's abilities it seems, in this realm you're nothing but a human."

"This is what you feel?" He moves, his watery glowing eyes looking up at your focused expression.

"Every match."

He's horrifed, all these matches where you've gritted your teeth and bared through, all these matches where you sacrificed yourself just to make sure everyone else lived, hell even the missions he knew you took as a Belmont- speaking of!

Your family goes on such dangerous missions, gets injured or even killed, and yet you still bare your family crest? His respect for you and your family grew, knowing first hand the pain of your injuries and yet you still choose to be so selfless.

Cue Alucard falling for you, the poor thing didn't even mean to.

It's just you pulled him off the hook, the bell rings louder, warning there isn't much time left, yet you still came back for him.

The second he was touching the ground, he looked at you, despite the pain he looked at you confused.

Your face was stern, filled with sheer determination as you grab his hand and lead him to the door.

"Why did you come back? You could have escaped instead of dying here with me."

You patched him at at the gate, just to be safe.

"Either neither of us die or we both die."

Your eyes locked

"I'm not leaving you here. Come on."

His own eyes widen.

Oh.

Oh.

........so this is how those dames in novels feel being saved.

Oh, Trevor is going to have his head.

He grows more skilled and knowledgeable the longer he's here, and is determined to help you (by proxy the others) he's noticeably closer to you, practically shoulder to shoudler with you by the fire, the first to help you off hook or to heal you.

Even his familar, which followed him here likes to hang off you and get scritches.

He can feel Trevor's side eye, knowing the older Belmont isn't fond of him cozying up to hos descendent.

But he at least knows Alucard would treat you right.

• Philip Ojomo is 100% either autistic or neurodivergent in some form to me. In The Algebra Of Infinite Night, he just reads as so.. coded. ykwim?

• He definitely was trying to move on from his traumas when the Azarov incident happened. Especially with a semi recent skin stating that he cared for strays around the garage- bro was healing before Azarov destroyed him.

• Initially i was like ya he's scared of fire (i.e. his trauma), but, as even Hooked On You tries to portray, i think his relationship with it is complicated. It's all intended to allude to his inner turmoil and battle, his enraged side that takes over him despite his best efforts and despite him knowing he shouldn't act out- he can not help it, because what else is a broken man to do? An angry, broken child, even -- seeing as that's where it all began? And he ultimately ends up the ""same"" as the people who caused his agony to begin with

• That being said, i think he tends to be calm, peaceful until provoked - which the Entity plays upon. I believe that the beginning of each trial sort of sends even the most peaceful of killers into a blind rage, through the otherworldly supernatural power that is The Entity.

• I like to believe that if it was possible to roam the fog without losing your mind, and without being in a trial he would be very big on quietly observing -maybe wouldnt turn down a conversation or two, hehe

• Definitely friends with Claudette. Definitely gets along with Jake. im just saying their besties

ngl i knew i was gonna be obsessed with alucard as soon as i saw his design. and especially after seeing his backstory and how he's exactly my type of character, lol.

HOWEVER - honestly i could not have predicted how attached i would grow to lisa and dracula himself, too?? i genuinely love them so much atm, and it's been a really pleasant surprise tbh!! dracula also happens to hit on a lot of character beats i really like in an antagonist, and we don't know much about lisa's personality but her concept is just SO GOOD.............. plus i know i'm a game-based blog but their meeting in the netflix adaption is so good too. ;~~;

I have a headcanon about The Spirit I’d like to share

I feel like the entity sought her out as a potential new survivor of the realm, and when her dad fucked her up, it took its opportunity to grab her

But when the fog surrounded her, the entity sensed her feelings of hatred, and resentment, and her desire for revenge, and that gave the entity… a new plan for Rin

Just thought I’d share and get your thoughts :)

I absolutely love this! I'd never considered that the Entity may have originally intended to take Rin as a Survivor along with her father as a Killer. I'd always (based off in game lore) thought it was her anger and pain that drew the Entity to them in them in the first place, but you've definitely given me food for thought. It's about time I give her story a re-read.

At first the two DESPISED each other. They were polar opposites, especially given that Leon only knew about Wesker through Chris and it was never anything good...Though on the other end, Wesker knew nothing about Leon until they first met.

2. It was during a mission when they met, Wesker taunting Leon for who he was affiliated with and of course getting slightly defensive responses back. Though...Through the banter, they both made offhand comments on how much Chris annoyed them...The connection.

3. It made them both buffer for a moment...Did they both have to deal with Chris annoying them?? Certainly it was just because they both worked for Chris both current and previously...But it was oddly nice hearing someone agree??

4. Well after awhile the two just kinda...Branched off though later in the week they actually met up for coffee! Though Wesker got himself a chai tea while Leon got himself a coffee. They ended up just sitting and talking with each other for a good few hours.

5. It would be a few months before the two actually started dating...Mainly due to Leon being oblivious to his bisexuality at first until Wesker made the first move.

6. They of course kept their relationship a secret from their respected co-workers, and just "happened" to let the other go or not see them during missions.

JI WOON AND PHILIP IS CRAZY (in a good way) I need to know how you think. What would this relationship be like and how did they get there

LOOK OK. I just think that Jiwoon is perisistent and someone he percieves as him being unable to "have" drives him to want them even more. I also think their dynamic is fun as i see them as hard opposites, n, u know, opposites attract.

Philip definitely finds Jiwoon's little visits and pesterings incredibly annoying at first, and seeing someone so self absorbed also irks Philip since he's rather down to earth about most things. However, over time, the annoyance fades into acceptance and even a bond and then maybe they start smooching and holding hands and philip likes to read and jiwoon thinks its boring and yeah theyre lovers ok

At first when he sees you, he doesn't sense any impurities within you because of that he begins to get curious.

For a while he follows you watching your actions and the choices you make and eventually one night when you're defending yourself against a split head.

He steps in to protect you and after that, he continues to stay with you.

His love for you begins with you randomly offering him little items or trinkets that you find during the day.

Overtime, he begins to join you for your wanders around the town during the day.

He enjoys watching how curious you are about certain things and how you point at objects and show him things that interest you.

At night when you lay in bed, he's typically not there because of all the damnation or wtvr. but when he is, you cuddle up to him, whether it be sitting in his lap, leaning on his side, or laying your head on his chest.

He enjoys physical touch so when you wipe blood or dirt off of him or hold his hand to take him somewhere he absolutely loves it.
