The Paros Post
Tonight marks our last night in the Cyclades. We are feeling somewhat gloomy about leaving the Greek Islands. Our beaches and tiny, white washed towns that we have grown so accustomed to will soon just be a fading memory.
Paros has been a real treat - the icing on the cake. We stayed on the northern side of the island in a place called Naousa, a bus ride away from the port town of Parikia.
Naousa used to be the port town of Paros, before Parikia sprung up. There are still boats here; a variety of boats ranging from super yachts to bedraggled, sun baked fishing dinghies nestled tightly along the stone wharves of the town, with fish taverns opening straight out to the water. Octopus legs dry in the sun outside restaurants and the town is less busy than most of the other main centres we have been to. We have walked many laps around the city centre; Sophie’s morning walks have taken her through the town, around the town clockwise, around the town anticlockwise, she’s zig zagged and loop-de-looped and exhausted all possible routes so I think she may be ready for the infinite possibilities that Athens holds.
The main thing I have enjoyed about Paros is that we have a beach pretty much on our doorstep, and the old port a short 10 minute walk away. I have missed being near the ocean and we have enjoyed some lovely swims. At our beach stops we each have different approaches. Upon arrival Sophie and I are usually straight in for a swim - Stacey may join us or she may soak up a spot of sun first. I have purchased a delightful pair of goggles that I’m a bit hesitant to wear out of fear of coming face to face with a large ocean creature. Sophie has been dabbling in ocean swimming - pushing herself with a minute or two of freestyle and backstroke over the preferred breaststroke. We’ve also dabbled in a few seconds of butterfly but have concluded that this is a waste of time and wonder why it even exists - surely no one is getting around this way outside of the Olympics. Back on shore - Stacey is our sundial - trying to work out the right balance of sunblock - sun time - rotation to achieve her desired overall even tan - current challenge - tanning the sides. I am eager to get a bit of sun on my bottom, just a gentle dusting but nothing too severe. Sophie will put up with the sun if she can sit on a mermaid rock and sort stones. She and I rendezvous with our books in the shade after a short while, as Stacey keeps sun-dialling, rotating and ensuring she’s getting the sides.
We decided to rent a car for two days this stay, and we did about 6 laps of the island I think. We are quite savvy now with rental cars and always shop around when we are looking for a car. Our car days took us to the mountain towns of Lefkes and Kostos, and down to the sea side villages of Piso Lavadi and Aliki, where we enjoyed port side dining experiences at some of their many fish tavernas.
My favourite stop was Lefkes. Lefkes is perched on the side of a hill, flanked by olive groves that would be centuries upon centuries old, with a giant, beautiful church in the middle of town. As we were walking into the town I could hear someone playing a piano in their house, there was an old woman sitting on her porch reading a book in the evening sun and it seemed like we might be getting the briefest of glimpses into the real Greek way of life. A lot of Greece feels like it has been designed for the tourists and it is hard to tell what is real and what isn’t. The sun was just setting over the olive groves out of town, and all of the dusk midges were out in force catching the light, which actually cast the whole scene in a rather romantic, golden hour tone.
I had been giving some recommendations for some beaches to hit in Paros, but was disappointed to find that they were the dreaded beach clubs - beaches that are managed by restaurants/resorts where you have to pay between 10 and 50 euros to have a spot on a beach chair. They are usually packed with tourists and covered in rubbish. Not our jam at all.
Our main beach day started with two beach club related false starts I was beginning to feel a little bit despondent. I decided to try a different tactic. I went onto google maps, zoomed in nice and close, and scrolled my way along the coastline of Paros, looking on aerial view for a suitable, unmanaged, un-clogged-by-tourists-and-their-beach-chairs beach. Hmmm. My eyes spotted a perfect little bay on the south side of the island. Hmmmm. There was a dirt road with a tiny parking lot. Hmmmm. This might work. We loaded into the car and zoomed off on a wing and a prayer, ready for an adventure. With some downloaded girly pop playlists blaring, my mood started to lift. As we got closer, and the road went from tarmac, to concrete, to a bumpy, rutted dirt road with loose chickens and goats wandering around, my doubts started creeping in again. Could I really have found a decent bay? We got to a parking lot with one other car in it and I was ready for the adventure to be a bust. I peeked over the hill, and there it was. The most perfect, white pebbled bay, peeking through the brush.
Turned out it was a nude beach frequented by the few locals who knew about it. We had our picnic, stripped off and had a nude swim - when in Paros, aye?
I tried the same technique the next time we were looking for a beach to spend the day at. I had located a couple of beach options for us to try, so off we trotted towards the coast. Our first option we quickly realised was probably not going to be a go. The deeply rutted concrete road down to the beach was very, very one way, and there were multiple ‘no parking’ signs as we descended the hill. In theory, the roads we were driving down were nothing worse than anything we might do in New Zealand, however the practicalities of taking our tiny Fiat Panda down a dirt road when we had been specifically told we were not to take our tiny Fiat Panda down a dirt road made the decision to turn around rather easy.
The next spot on the list was close by, down another much more easily navigated dirt road. The beach was the most perfect sandy beach, protected from the wind, with cypress trees providing some shade along the edge of the water. Perfect. We set up camp, had a swim and read our books for a couple of hours. Sun-dialed, bottom dusted and freestyle swum. Delightful.
We are coming up to two and a half weeks as a trio and are all very familiar with one another. Our evenings have fallen into a comfortable routine, shower order - Sophie, Emily, Stacey. After showers we keep on top of what’s happening in the rest of the world. Stacey keeps up to date with all her creams and tinctures. I do a spot of computer work be it blogging, work, or my small list of secret projects. Sophie reads or tries to triple her move goal. We feel a bit like we are on school camp: singing the same three songs on loop, pinching ourselves that we’re actually on this trip, sharing our peak and pit for the day, and then usually make some comment about how fast or slow time is passing. Stacey is in charge of lights out and we put up with the 10-30 minutes of Sophie chat as she keeps thinking of very important conversation topic “Who has been your favourite polite-boy waiter and why?” “We’ve probably been eating plenty of polyphenols this trip, the defence chemicals in dark fruits and vegetables.” Ahhh bliss.
The Greek Islands have treated us very well. Each is different in its own right, which we weren’t expecting at all. Each island has had its pros and cons, but we have loved aspects of each island and have been treated very well by the cyclades.
I must admit, at times the thought of home, and the use of a full kitchen, washing machine, dryer and an Ollie Dog cuddle seems very far away indeed. Mike has done a great job of starting to lift the dahlias and I am feeling like I am missing out.
We are now on the ferry to Athens, where we have 5 nights in a house with our own rooms (!!!!!). Then Soph and I head to Turkey and Stace heads to Italy. Time is going simultaneously fast and slow.

Undecided from which Greek island to sail next summer? Choose Milos and discover the Cyclades archipelago by a boat!
Due to its volcanic origin, Milos is considered a rarity among the Cyclades islands. Its coasts made of rocks where splendid beaches and cliffs overlook the sea, combined with Greek typicality, its history, and traditional white houses, make it an island sought after by thousands of tourists every year.
The island navigation is also particularly convenient thanks to the protection provided by its gulf, a huge natural harbor that provides shelter and therefore welcomes a large number of boats all year round.
CONTACT US FOR YOUR CHARTER FROM MILOS
Where is Milos located?
Milos is an island of Greece and is located in the Aegean Sea. It is in fact part of the famous Cyclades archipelago, composed, among the numerous islands, also by the famous Santorini and Mykonos.
In particular, Milos is the inhabited island of the Cyclades located further west, symbolically placed halfway along the sea line that separates Athens (Greek capital) from Heraklion on the island of Crete.
How to reach our destination?
It is not possible to reach Milos by direct flight as the island has only a small domestic airport. To arrive on the island by air, it is, therefore, necessary to make a stopover in Athens and then take a direct flight.
A valid alternative to the local flight is the numerous ferries that connect Milos daily with Athens or with Santorini, which also has an international airport.

What is Milos’s main marina?
The main tourist port of Milos, also the destination of the many ferries that arrive on the island every day, is that of Adamas.
The marina of this small town is located in the shelter of the Gulf of Milos, a natural inlet embraced for three quarters by the coasts of the island and therefore, an ideal place to sail.
The Adama’s marina offers 50 berths up to 50 meters long and a maximum draft of 5 meters.
Here are available various services such as water supply, ATM and car rental. The marina also offers a bar and a restaurant but our advice is to taste the typical Greek cuisine in one of Adama’s restaurants.
What attractions to see in Milos?
The most important village on the island is Plaka, characterized by classic narrow streets with whitewashed houses and colored doors and windows. It extends on the sides of the hill overlooking Milos and on the top of which stands the wonderful Venetian castle of Plaka, a must to enjoy a breathtaking landscape.
Among the archaeological finds of Milos, its catacombs stand out. Built around the first century AD and rediscovered in the 19th century, they were used as Christian cemeteries during the Roman domination. It consists of three catacombs interconnected through hundreds of narrow corridors.
On a hill not far from the catacombs stands finally the ancient Roman theater of Milos. Built and used by the Romans, it still resists although the signs of the passage of time are clearly visible on it. Even today it is used by the inhabitants to host various cultural events.

What are the beaches not to be missed in Milos?
Their volcanic characteristic makes Milos beaches particularly unique, thanks to the extraordinary colors and interesting rock formations that surround the coasts.
Sarakiniko beach is probably the most famous and photographed on the island. Don’t expect to find classic sand or pebbles here. It is in fact a very suggestive almost lunar landscape made of long horizontal rocks that stretch towards the sea.
Tsigrado bay, southeast of Plaka, hides a small sandy beach surrounded by huge cliffs and bathed by enchanting waters.
A short distance from Tsigrado is Firiplaka, a small and long beach with soft sand, also surrounded by huge rocks.
What could be an itinerary to discover the Cyclades?
Your Boat Holiday organizes for its customer’s different types of charter boat itineraries in Greece and in the Cyclades islands. For example, here is one of the possible 14-day routes:
Day 1: Arrival in Milos and acquaintance with the crew;

Alimos Marina: The perfect starting point for boat trips along the Greek coast
Among the numerous Greek marinas, Alimos is one of the most strategic when it comes to organizing tours and boat holidays in the Aegean Sea. Its geographical position, combined with a truly remarkable capacity of berths, make it a particularly popular port for yachtsmen who flock to the Greek routes in the summer months.
Although this is not in all respects a five-star marina, because it is open to all types of boats and lacking a level service, it makes up with easy access to the port and a great location near the capital Athens.
VIEW ALL THE BOATS BASED IN ALIMOS
How to get to Alimos Marina
Alimos Marina is among the largest marinas in Greece. It has 1000 fixed berths on the quay and is one of the best-positioned ports because it is located in the southern part of Athens, a few minutes from the port of Piraeus, the largest port in Greece.
Its location is highly sought after by boat rental companies who have made it the ideal starting point for trips to this part of the Mediterranean Sea.
More precisely, Alimos is located on the southwest coast of the Greek Attica region and north-east of the Saronic Gulf. Its location is very convenient because it is 15 km from the center of the capital, 8 km from Piraeus, and 30 km from Athens International Airport. This facilitates the flow of tourists who pass through here to embark for the Aegean Sea.

The characteristics of Alimos marina
A large amount of berths in this marina gives the certainty of always finding a free place to moor the boat. Alimos can receive boats up to 40 meters long even if the maximum depth near the quay is 6.5 meters, which is more than enough to accommodate even the largest yachts.
Some berths have access to water and electricity, there is ample parking where you can leave your car, radio service (channel 71 UHF), and showers with hot water and toilets. Unfortunately, there is no supermarket inside the marina, but one can be found not far from the port.
There are a few Greek and Italian restaurants nearby, some of which also deliver on board. Inside the marina, there is a snack bar instead. Finally, a fast-food restaurant is located just 10 minutes away on foot.
Approaching the Alimos marina requires some attention as this stretch of sea is the preferential lane to reach the port of Piraeus and is therefore beaten by hundreds of ships of any type every day. The advice is therefore to contact the port in time through the dedicated VHF channel and let them guide you. The entrance to the port is marked by lights.
Also not to be underestimated are the winds that generally blow from the north in this area and can also be relatively strong.
Access to the port is allowed 24 hours a day.
Once set sail from Alimos, there are many routes that can be traveled. Two of the most popular destinations are certainly the Saronic islands and the Cyclades islands. Let’s see briefly where they are and why it’s worth navigating to them:
The Saronic Islands departing from Alimos
This archipelago, less known than others, is located between the northeastern coast of the Peloponnese and the west coast of Attica. There are seven wonderful islands in the Saronic Gulf. Among them, we suggest Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. These islands share a very clean sea with enchanting coasts and a pleasant atmosphere given by very hospitable inhabitants.
Hydra: The atmosphere on this island is chic and refined and its fame has attracted celebrities such as Onassis and Sofia Loren. It is also defined as little Capri. However, despite its reputation, it is not an island for a few people. Its peculiarity is tranquility. Here cars can not circulate and you enjoy a much less hectic kind of life.
The ideal place for a peaceful break.
Poros: the verdant island on which, according to mythology, Theseus was born. It offers interesting artifacts from ancient Greece and a very rich archaeological museum. The sandy beaches of Mikro and Megalo Neorio are characteristic.
Aegina: it was a large ancient trading center. Sculpture experienced a significant development on the island and the famous Aeginian ceramic vases are still very popular today. The city of Aegina, the capital and port of the island, is an attractive neoclassical town with typical colored houses.
The Cyclades Islands from Alimos
The Cyclades archipelago is located in the heart of the Aegean Sea.
Among the best-known islands, we find Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Tinos, Milos, Amorgos, and Folegandros but if we were to count them all we would discover over a hundred islands placed to form a kind of circle as their Greek name indicates: Cyclades.
If you are planning to sail between them during July and August, be aware of the very strong north wind called Meltemi which blows these months.
If we had to choose which islands are worth visiting on a boat tour, our choice falls on the following:
Santorini and its white-walled and cube-shaped houses distinguish the two main cities, Oia and Fira. Two villages perched on top of the cliffs and overlooking a crater of an ancient underwater volcano. Watching a sunset here is a unique experience.
Paros means beaches, not only white but of all kinds, but also traditional villages and typical alleys where you can get lost among colorful shops and dine in the evening with fresh fish and beer.
Mykonos means parties during summer. On beaches like Paradise and Super Paradise, loud music plays. Its huge nightclubs attract famous international DJs and stay open until morning. If you have a party mood, you can’t miss it!

MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi buys a new yacht!
The news has been circulating for a few weeks and now it seems absolutely confirmed. The motorcycling champion Valentino Rossi is preparing to inaugurate a new yacht that will replace his dated Mochi Craft.
From the latest rumors, it seems that the new jewel is about to undergo the launching and then move on to the final set-up and delivery, which however will not take place before the month of May 2021.
A great and beloved two wheels champion
The nine-time world champion, at the age of 41 (42 in a month), is preparing to begin his 26th motorcycle season under the name of change. After years of success and great victories, “the Doctor”, this is his nickname, will no longer be riding the Yamaha team’s trusted M1 but will race with the Yamaha Petronas satellite team alongside his friend and student at the rider academy VR46, Franco Morbidelli.
In short, 2021 opens with a series of changes for Valentino, and one of these concerns his “home” on the sea.
It will be called Titilla III
It seems that this will be the name chosen for the new Valentino Rossi boat, in the name of continuity with its predecessors.
The Titilla and the Titilla II are in fact the names chosen for his previous yachts. The first of the two was a Pershing while the second (and still Valentino’s current yacht), is a 24-meter Mochi Craft Dolphin class, a brand now controlled by the Ferretti group.
This brand, called Nobil Yacht, enjoyed an excellent reputation up to ten years ago and was all the rage among those entering the world of yachts. Its charm as “lady of the sea” is mainly due to its comfort and spaciousness which compensate for a not very high speed.
Still, according to rumors, it seems that the latter has now been sold by Rossi to a French collector for a figure of around one million euros.
Eventually a Sanlorenzo, but doubt remains!
At first, the rumors concerning Valentino Rossi’s new yacht spoke of a Pershing already in production in the Mondolfo shipyards, the Pershing-Ferretti group headquarters.
In reality, the first rumors turned out to be false while the Doctor was choosing a model from the Sanlorenzo house in La Spezia.
What still remains uncertain is the choice of the model. According to someone, it should be the almost 23 meters long SX76 model while for others the about 26 meters SX88.
What seems instead certain is the basic cost of these yacht models, each one between 4 and 5 million euros. With the customizations requested by Valentino Rossi, the final price could be close to 9 million.
What kind of boats are we talking about?
Well. Surely both boats don’t leave anything to chance, as is the practice for the Sanlorenzo house. Starting with refined furnishings and fine finishes.
SX76 has a length of 23.4 meters and a maximum width of 6.6 meters. It is served by a 1300 liter water tank and a 4350-liter fuel tank that powers two 800 horsepower engines.
There are two guest cabins: the owner’s suite in the center of the ship and the VIP cabin at the bow. Both equipped with a bathroom and a walk-in closet.
The on-board service is managed by a crew of 3 people.
With a length of 26.7 meters, a width of 7.2, and a maximum speed of 23 knots, the SX88 is instead considered the big brother of the SX76. It is characterized by the wheelhouse positioned exclusively on the flybridge, leaving more space and more solutions to the main deck furnishings.
It is powered by 3 800 horsepower engines and has a fuel tank of over 9,000 liters.
The larger size of this model allows it to accommodate up to 8 guests and 3 crew members.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Super yacht rental world champion!
Cristiano Ronaldo‘s for luxury yachts is not just a passing infatuation, but instead a true passion. At the end of the football season, but also in the short breaks between one match and another, Cristiano never fails to enjoy a holiday with his family on one of many magnificent charter yachts available for that occasion.
Who is Cristiano Ronaldo?
Wait, are you serious? If there really still exists someone who doesn’t know him, let’s make a brief introduction: Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most important and influential footballers in the world. Portuguese, grown up on Madeira island, this champion has won countless titles and trophies during his career, among which 5 Golden Balls and 5 Champions Leagues stand out.
In the last 10 years, his fame has been achieved and sometimes surpassed only by another footballer, his great rival, Lionel Messi.
His latest purchase:
Let’s start from the end. The last appearance in chronological order of Cristiano Ronaldo onboard a yacht took place in July 2020 when, together with Georgina Rodriguez, his current partner, and his children, he took a short vacation in the Tyrrhenian Sea between an Italian championship match and another.
Related: All the Azimut Grande yachts for charter
The difference, however, from his previous experiences lies in the fact that he didn’t rent a yacht because this time the boat was entirely owned by him.
The champion choice could only fall on one of the best models in terms of yachts: a 27-meter Azimut Grande, purchased, according to rumors, in Viareggio’s shipyards for a figure of around 6 million euros.
What about this yacht? Only the best! Built-in the Azimut-Benetti shipyards in Versilia, it has 5 cabins with 6 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 8 people. It was made of carbon fiber for a total weight of about 93 tons and is powered by two 1900 horsepower engines that can reach a maximum speed of 28 knots powered by a 9500-liter tank that guarantees a very good range.
The comfort onboard, as well as the luxury finishes and a considerable number of gadgets and water games, is guaranteed by a crew of 3.
The Portuguese champion must have been so impressed by the beauty of this yacht model probably while spending onboard it one of his vacation periods.
In fact, it was not the first time he had boarded a Benetti-Azimut Grande. Just a few weeks earlier, for example, he had posted some photos on Instagram portraying him, always with his family, aboard a 35-meter from the same brand, this time chartered in the Italian Versilia coastline.
A long list of charter yacht vacation
Before then, there were certainly many occasions in which Cristiano Ronaldo allowed himself the luxury of a charter yacht.
During summer 2019, for example, the Juventus forward spent his family vacation off the coast of Monte Carlo aboard the wonderful yacht Africa I.
A 47-meter long yacht, the Africa I was built by Benetti in 2010 and underwent a complete restyling in 2018.
Made of aluminum, it is equipped with every comfort: air conditioning, gym, Jacuzzi, Wi-Fi connection.
Onboard, it can accommodate up to 12 guests divided into six bedrooms: a master suite, four bedrooms with double beds, and a bedroom with single beds.
A 9 crew member ensures maximum comfort for all guests.
The luxurious interiors are signed by the designer Zuretti, a guarantee as splendid furnishings and elegant seating like the sofas and sun loungers
Finally, there is no shortage of leisure and entertainment facilities as a spectacular slide that reaches the pool.
Africa I has a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 12 for an extraordinary sailing experience.
The eternal challenge with Messi:
The rivalry with his colleague and champion Lionel Messi has always been heated both on and off the pitch, with the duo always put in competition on personal trophies and titles won, number of social media followers, and even in terms of salary.
The choice of the yacht on which they spend their holidays is certainly no exception.
An example? In 2016 they found themselves a short distance away in the sea between Ibiza and Formentera on board their respective charter yachts:
This time Cristiano Ronaldo had chosen a real jewel, the Ascari yacht, with over 36 meters in length and over 7 meters wide.
Built-in 2003 by Palmer Johnson Yacht and refitted in 2015, it can reach a maximum speed of thirty knots and a cruising speed of 22. Space onboard is not lacking and in fact, the Ascari can accommodate up to 10 guests in 4 cabins and 5 crew members.
At the same time, Lionel Messi was aboard the Seven C, a 28 meters long and just under five meters wide yacht, built-in 2003 and refitted in 2011.
The Seven C can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots and can accommodate up to ten people, as well as three crew members.
In 2018, the two found themselves even “sharing” the same charter yacht, a few weeks apart from each other, while spending their summer holidays in the Balearic archipelago.
It was the turn of the Tecnomar’s ultra-luxury yacht called Blue Jay to steal the show, a 36-meter super-equipped yacht with everything needed for the enjoyment of its 12 guests, which is available for charter right now in the Balearic Sea.

Paros, the main port for the Cyclades Islands
Are you planning your next Cyclades islands boat trip? Follow us in this article where we will talk about Paros, together with Naxos, Mykonos, and Santorini one of the most famous islands of this archipelago
Port of embark for the Cyclades
The Cyclades Islands exactly represent Greece in the collective imagination: white houses with domes and blue windows often perched and overlooking the turquoise sea, wonderful beaches of all kinds, and streets animated by tourists and locals.
It is impossible to try to determine which is the most beautiful because each has a good reason to be reached and visited. If you can do it aboard a yacht, a catamaran, or a charter sailboat, don’t miss this opportunity.
How do you get to Paros?
The island of Paros is placed exactly in the center of that imaginary circle that the Cyclades islands draw in the middle of the Aegean Sea. Getting here is not difficult whether you want to get there by plane or whether you want to sail here from another island or city.
On the island, there is in fact a small airport, used by the Aegean Airlines company with departures from Athens. Alternatively, you can also make a stopover in Santorini or Mykonos, the most famous destinations in this archipelago, and then sail from here to the island of Paros. The distance that separates Mykonos from Paros is about an hour of navigation while from Santorini you need at least two.

Otherwise, if you are looking for a bit of adventure, there is nothing to stop you from renting your boat directly in Athens and then sail south-east along with the Saronic islands first and then dive into the open Aegean sea and reach Paros. If the time at your disposal allows it, this is certainly a very suggestive solution.
What are the main island centers?
Every visit to a Cycladic island usually starts from its capital (in Greek Chora). Paros’ one is called Parikia and is also the largest town on the island, offering various services including the main port. Its historic center is still characteristic of the place and also fascinating but less elegant and touristic than other capitals of the Cyclades.
The most famous town of Paros, however, is another, namely Naoussa.
Famous for its typical alleys, for its marina with restaurant tables a stone’s throw from the water, and above all for its clubs and shops. Naoussa is the hub of the island’s nightlife.
During the day it empties because tourists are on the beach but in the evening it becomes full of life again, sometimes becoming even crowded. In fact, in winter it does not have more than three thousand inhabitants, but in summer it is filled with tourists attracted by the colors of Greece, but also by the tranquility that this town can offer as it is still far from the chaos of other tourist destinations in the Cyclades area.
Its small port overlooking a sheltered bay is always full of moored caiques because fishing is still the main inhabitant’s activity of the island today. However, the port is also the center of the tourist life of Naoussa with the old warehouses, once full of fishermen’s tools, now transformed into night clubs and bars where you can enjoy delicious fish dishes.
Another place to visit is Lefkes, the only “mountain village” of Paros. It is located in the center of the island at an altitude of fewer than 300 meters. It is a small jewel, where you can enjoy the view and a bit of serenity while savoring the most authentic Greek island atmosphere.
What beaches to attend around Paros?
Along the more than 120 kilometers of Paros coastline you will find crystal clear sea, wonderful beaches, and bays.
The island offers many beaches for every taste, from the best equipped to the wildest, sandy most of the time.
On the northern coast, there are some of the most famous beaches of Paros, such as Kolymbithres or Monastiri, beautiful but often crowded because they are frequented by all the Naoussa and its surrounding tourists.
To the north-east, however, there is also Lageri, much quieter.
The east coast of Paros is dotted with beaches. Among the best equipped we recommend those of Santa Maria or Chrissi Akti (Golden Beach), while among the completely deserted bays we find, for example, Damuli and Aspros Gremos, both not far from the town of Ampelas.
Recommended: Visit the stunning beaches while you enjoy your Greece Sailing Holidays Paros(Opens in a new browser tab)
In the south, there are mainly uncrowded beaches, being far from Naoussa and Parikia many tourists prefer not to move so far. During your boat tour around the island, it will not be difficult for you to get there. Among them, we point out those of Lolantonis, Glyfa, and Tripiti.
An infinite number of routes from Paros
Choosing Paros as the starting point for a Cyclades boat tour is certainly a good idea. There are many routes that can be traveled, starting with the discovery of the Paros island “sisters”, the small Antiparos, and the larger Naxos. These two themselves would deserve each a single trip.

Sailing in any direction leads to the discovery of dozens or better hundreds of destinations, from the most famous such as Santorini, Mykonos, Ios, and Milos to the less traveled ones such as Kythnos, Syros or Hydra.
Whatever your itinerary, our advice is always to carefully choose who to rely on for the organization of your boat trip.
We recommend a serious and reliable rental company. Our choice is Your Boat Holiday who offers his customers the best solutions in terms of sailboat and yacht tours and crew expertise.
