i think, as a concept, and in some parts logistically, kabiguru believes the spider-society should work. you put a group of people who all share some facet of a story and ask them to work together; chances are, they will, and chances are that they can get done what needs to be done. unfortunately, i think kabiguru realized later, but sooner than some, that you can't ask a group of independent minds to all lead a straight-leading path. somewhere down the line, there's bound to be conflict--- and it's something kabiguru understands way too well, because he throws himself into it to be a mediator, and later- a part of.
