#dax and alanis thread.

"where? the pits? nah it's good. you don't need to hang out there. you'd be better off helping your cousin move in."

"don't be like that. i can come take care of you."

"is that.... does that mean you're going to use that tonight with us? can i use it on you?" he doesn't know why he's asking. he usually just takes and asks for forgiveness later. if he doesn't forget. "n-no, i'm not a dumbass. let's go home."

"don't worry, dax. i've got something that buzzes at home." she grins, giving a little shove to his shoulders. "quite sure, unless you're trying to delay going home? or was there something that caught your eye?"

❝ hey! i'm puttin' food on the table, i don't know why you're complaining! maybe if someone would take care of me, i wouldn't feel so fuckin' loopy in the head... ❞

"they're not dumb enough to get hit in the face for a living. ugh, will you stop being so ridiculous."

"would you want someone you're fucking to interrupt some guy flirtin' with you if you thought maybe there was somethin' there? oh and you're gonna tell me that alanis tells you how she feels about me, hmm?"

"you think she wouldn't? you don't have a fucking clue, do you? it's kind of sad, if you think about it. fucking her on the regular and you don't have a clue."

DAX &. ALANIS​

alanis could offer another question to that response and yet chooses to bite her tongue. it’s not helpful to keep plying dax with questions. she can only force so much honesty out of him. “you know that i’d take care of you, don’t you?” she thought that was quite obvious. it’s not like she’d ever see him in any sort of trouble and not act on it if she was able to. “you have to depend on someone at some time, why not me?”

       ❝ ... would you? ❞ it's not a challenge this time, there was no sarcasm in his voice. it comes out more akin to a plea than anything else, his entire body growing lax the quicker walls crumble. ❝ that's responsibility that i didn't think you wanted, ❞ he adds, knowing her preference for keeping things uncomplicated. ❝ because i'm blood, sweat, and tears, lani. not really the sort of environment you wanna keep yourself in, right? ❞

"hiding? that doesn't sound like her. but fine... gotta see how this goes."

"ugh, you can't do that. she'll be hiding herself in her room for days on end, it's not like anyone will ever have to know!"

[inkshadow]

"well shit, maybe i'll just annoy her until she moves out. oh and she's not embarrassed to live here? babe, we had a fucking hole in our ceiling for days. maybe weeks. several of them! alright, if you say so..."

"it won't be that awkward. it's not like she couldn't find a friend or something to stay with if she really wanted to, she's just embarrassed. does it really matter? she already knows what we get up to well enough, it can't be that much of a surprise..."

"you realize it's gonna be awkward no matter what, right? who said i was complaining? i'm totally fine with that, just makin' sure you're good with that. and that your cousin won't pass judgement on me or whatever for literally sleeping with you."

"i am, i don't want it to be awkward. are you about to complain about having someone hot in your bed at night? really?"

"you're really optimistic about this, you must really want this to work out. you really alright with sharing a room and bed with me? you realize i'm a dude, right?"

"well... that just means we'll have to get creative!"

[inkshadow]

"fuckin' fuck, we can't just have sex wherever we want anymore. especially since she works from home...."

"i just thought it might be something to sweeten the deal... oh, like she doesn't know what happens."

"bet i would... but fine, you can be a buzzkill...." because when they get home, there won't be anything to stop him at that point. "are you sure you don't wanna pick up anything while we're here? could help for later, y'know."

"i bet you'd like that..." she would too, given the way she leans in to press her lips against his again. it lingers for a moment longer than she intends for it to because it feels to good but eventually her grip loosens. "we should go home."

"we can act like teens if you want," he chuckles as he presses his body further into hers. she might not be as wet as she needs to be for that something but that doesn't mean he's unaffected. "why not let me go then, angel?"

"just because it's an adult store, i don't think that means we can do adult things..." though, her arms slide up and around his neck to keep him right where he is for now. "so i think you have to wait."

"uh huh.... was that, like, a just-in-case dax flips out and really says no or...? not sure your holier-than-thou cousin would approve of that...."

"well... that's what i was hoping to sweeten you up with. i was going to give her my room and i could crash with you..."

[inkshadow]

familiarity returns in full, as if they were right back in their small little apartment. his tongue brushes over her lower lip before taking it between his teeth. "that a challenge? do we gotta wait?"

alanis might've laughed had she not been so preoccupied with kissing him; it's something she quite easily relaxes in to. "mmm, why don't we see how wet you can get me and we'll work it out from there?"

"guess i'll just have to deal with heather stayin' with us then. you realize we don't have enough rooms.... right? she alright takin' my room? or you can have my room. or you can sleep with me, i don't care."

"of course i would. anytime."

[inkshadow]

"you know, you ask a lot of questions...." he whispers, tossing the toy aside to grab her face and kiss her until she's pressed up against the back wall of the toy shop. "depends. how stretched out do you wanna be tonight, baby girl?"

"a few... once or twice, y'know. do you know enough? do you? dependents, are we talking with or without an assist from my toys?"
