david wasn’t a romantic. he wasn’t really into that stuff nor did he even know where to start to even try to be. however, this was his first valentine’s day as a husband and he knew it’d be special to Jax, so he was going to try. He wanted to try at least. Especially since he never really did things like that. His husband was at work so it made things easy to decorate the house a bit and believe it or not, david was actually cooking something for once. did he know what the fuck he was doing? no. the decorating part wasn’t too bad because micah had helped him pick out things to put around the house. the only thing being his idea as far as decorations picked out were was the rose petals on the bed in the shape of a heart and on the way to the bedroom. he had put the dogs out back so they wouldn’t mess up his set up. oh, he also picked out the card he was giving the other so there was that too. at the moment, he was watching a youtube vidoe that was showing him how to season and make a nice chicken dinner. he was so nervous, especially because he kept having to rewind because he got confused. if anything, he’d just order take out. he wasn’t ashamed to just order food, but he was going to try. he had even burnt the first batch of mashed potatoes, which were now in the trash but he tried again. the second time working out fine. the veggies came out fine and the chicken looked decent. david tried a piece and was impressed at himself. “ooo...” he grins then checks the time. “oh shit, he’s gonna be here,” he hurries to make the plates and put water and champage on the table. he even added a few rose petals on the table. he had about ten more minutes so he used them to change into nicer clothes and brush his teeth. | @wtfnoie​

Normally, David would really be annoyed by being dragged to a party dressed in a couple costume (or any costume), however, this year was different. He was a married man wearing a coordinated coupe costume with his husband. David wasn’t really a fan of getting dressed up but his husband wanted to go to a Halloween party they were invited to and he was a Halloween fan so guess what? Still on their marriage high, David agreed and he had even let Jackson pick out the costumes. “I still can’t believe you got me to wear this,” he chuckles as he holds his man’s hand as they make their way to the entrance.
