😈...As Supernatural quickly approaches its end, there's a search for a new supernatural drama...😈...Helstrom, now streaming on Hulu, follows the story of siblings Daimon and Santana Helstrom who are dealing with "literal" demons from their past...😈...They derive from an apparently long line of demons, which is why this series has a rough beginning with that lack of a backstory...😈...Their mother was locked away in a mental institution because she was possessed by a demon called MOTHER, right? Hmm...😈...That was one of many questions I wanted answered but sadly it, like many other gaps in the story, were left short handed...😈...The Helstrom background was never revealed in full detail other than the fact that DAD was a serial killer/demon of great power...😈...But who was he exactly? Was Dad Lucifer? Was mother Lilith going by a different name? And how do demons fit into the lives of the series setting?..😈...Are they demons that came out of the closet so to speak and are they only found in Oregon?..😈...Putting this aside, the cast was well picked and the acting was great, except for the Mother Teresa nun trying to be Miss-Goody-two-shoes pushing her faith that got her nowhere...😈...My favorite concept of this whole dark and "supposedly superhero" themed series, where the powers that Daimon possessed for they were portrayed realistically without the fancy hoo-ha...😈...But the ending however, was left in a cliffhanger leaving the possibility of a season 2 but who was that man? Was that Dad?
